Hi,I'm pretty new to audition and I'm currently working on an audio drama. I made quite some interviews with different people and made a multitrack session. For better overview I put the different interviews on separate tracks, but I still like to use crossfades. Usually, if the clips are on the same track this could be achieved easily by dragging a clip to other lap the other one. Is there a way to crossfade two clips that are on separate tracks?Or would you say that this is generally a bad workflow (with clips on different tracks) for editing an audio drama? How I could do better?I saw someone already asked this question in the past, but never got an answer. So I'm trying again. Thank you in advance!
I'm using Audition CC 10.0.2 but that shouldn't matter. I've recorded a simple favorite that consists solely of Effects/Silence. The work I'm doing is voiceovers and I just want to be able to get rid of extraneous noise in the gaps between my speech. The only way this script works at all is if I open the Action list box and change "Selection" to "Relative" for each action. The actions are:Silence<Final Selection>"Works at all" means I can run the script without getting an error message. But the noise is still there. I feel like an idiot asking this, so please be gentle with me.Thanks,Tony
I am working with Audition on my MacBookPro from 2019. Since the last Audition update, I have noticed that my trackpad is not working as perfectly with Audition. For instance, the zoom function (two fingers on the trackpad) only works when I make fast and large movements with my fingers. Small, slow movements go unnoticed by Audition. Now I'm wondering if my MacBookPro has reached its technical limits. Does anyone know this problem? Hello, I recorded a few voice tracks on my laptop and want to edit them on my pc. I found the file via the cloud on my PC and when I clicked it, I get the '1of1 files reference by the Session could not be found. I then tried to copy the file over directly to my pc, but I get the same error when I try to open it up on my PC. It gives me an option to click 'link media' at the bottom but when I do, I don't know what I need to look for. It just says Host_005 in the file name. I included a few screen shots. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hi, I having difficulties with the Audio Channel Mapping for Behringer UMC 1820. Im trying to record 8 seperate channels but its only displaying 2 [Mod note: moved to a thread of its own]
In other words say I have a one minute long Room Tone file. I just want to insert 10 seconds of it on a track of my choosing. Is there any way to do this, or do I have to insert the whole file on another track, cut, and then move?
I have about 40,000 aac files in my iTunes library. I need to convert them all to mp3 to make them playable by a digital audio player that does not support aac files. The library is about 350 total GB in size. Can Adobe Audition convert a batch that large? If not what can be done?
Hello, Please, I'm passing my old tapes of Sound Therapy to wav files, these tapes are designed to train ear to hear high frequencies, and the key of this tapes are the high frequencies.I want to keep the higuest frequencies of the recording. Is there some setting important to record that high frequencies, or it will be copied correctly without any modification, I cheked setting of hardware and Adobe Audition, and I didn't find any setting relevant to this task.Any advice.Thank you in advance 🙂
Hello, I am trying to mute one section of a vocal track, but it is still playing audio after I pan it down. In Waveform, I converted the samply type from stereo to mono with 50% / 50% for R & L mixing. In the screenshot below you can see the levels on the R headset are high when playing over the panned down section. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,Charlotte
Capture Noise Print hasn't worked for about a week. I've tried with mono and stereo, .mp3 and .wav files. I did a screencapture. I'm using 12.1.5.3. Need Help. Notice that the timer in the lower left corner remains at 0.00 seconds. Thanks
The Metadata ID3 window doesn't have a Tags or Key Words field to insert searchable tags (by Google), for a podcast, for example. This is a significant omission. Is there a reason for that? Is there another way to insert key words into a podcast? In spite of some views that key words are no longer useful, they actually are for podcasts. The podcast title doesn't always directly reflect the subject of the podcast, and people DO search for podcasts by topic.
I record voiceover scripts for YouTube videos in Audition. And, because I need to make last-minute edits to my script when recording for smoothness frequently, I also frequently pause, edit, and move the playhead when recording. In previous versions, I have been able to click the "Move Playhead to Next" button (looks like an arrow pointing into a wall/line) and instantly start recording from my last point (the end of the waveform). But, in the most recent version, Adobe have changed it so that it starts recording my audio from the beginning, causing it to overwrite what I have already recorded/edited. It's a minor thing, but it is enraging to have to undo my accidental overwrite, click the playhead button, and then hit the left arrow key so that I can start recording. I have had this built into my muscle memory for at least a year and I hate to see it changed. Who needs this? Who needs to overwrite what they've already recorded at the beginning when fast forwarding to the end? At least
I see a vertical dotted line on one of my clips. I don't know why it's there. I have a photo of it. The cursor is near this dotted line in the photo. You can see it on Track 3.
Audition won't open audio files referenced in .asx (playlist) files, although the format is included in the Open options.Anyone know why? (I can open the audio files separately.)
I once had a lot of presets in Adobe Audition. Like for example when I go to the graphic equalizer filter I used to have tons of filter presets that I made. Now they are all gone. They were there days ago. I don't know what happened to them. Does anyone know how to fix this, if at all?
Hi all! I'm a voice actor and I've been using Audition for close to two decades now. Until about a month ago, I was running CS6 on a 2011 iMac that sounded incredible with my Rode AI-1 interface and MXL BCD-1 condenser microphone. I regularly used the "Podcast Voice" filter to clean up and "pop" my audio. It was my bread and butter. I've now upgraded to a 2023 Mac Mini. Still using the Rode and MXL mic. Upgraded to CC because, well I was kind of forced to. However, now when I use the podcast voice filter, the audio (especially the first sentence or two) sound muffled and aren't very dynamic. The rest of the audio eventually "pops" and sounds ok, but it also sounds very digitized at points. It's not at all clear and "punchy" like it was on my old Mac with CS6. Anyone else encounter this? Is there a remedy? Should I adjust settings? Try a different mic/interface setup? Any recommendations welcome as this is my livelihood and I can't have sub-par audio quality.&nb
Hello, I have a issue which I have never had before with Adobe Audition. I'm sure my mic is working correctly, cause I've tried to record on different apps it would record normally and perfectly. With Adobe audition 2020 working on multitrack, the first track where I put the music works fine, but the track where I record my voice seems to record the music again, and my voice feels so distant and lagging on the background of that. I checked the Hardware Audio settings I went on MME where I can select the input and output options (things that I can't do with Wasabi or Asio) and everything seems fine. Can someone help me with this please? (Picture is in Italian software, CODED is my mic)
Hello Adobe Audition community!I hope you're all doing well. I'm currently working on a project involving an old VHS video that I've digitized on my PC. The video and audio are combined into one file, and my goal is to separate the vocals from the instruments in the audio. However, I'm encountering difficulties, particularly when using the audio after editing it in Audition on Moises App.Here's a summary of my situation:I have an old VHS video recorded digitally on my PC.The video and audio are combined into one file.My objectives:Separate the vocals from the instruments in the audio file.Edit the separated audio in Adobe Audition for further enhancement.Utilize the edited audio in Moises App for additional processing.Specific issue:After editing the audio in Adobe Audition and using it in Moises App, the output doesn't meet my expectations. The separation quality seems to degrade, and the extracted instrumental sounds less clear than anticipated.I'm reaching out to this supportive com
I have hundreds of short clips (provided by my client) cut from an original long recording that I have appended in multitrack. I need to re-merge them into a single file but to keep the times & clip names as markers. There must be a record of the beginning & end time references for each clip but I don't know how to find & export this. I could then create a .csv that I could use to create markers that I can import to the merged file.Does anyone know how to do this?
Like PC scp 079 also add a feature to identify tone from audio
When I press the space bar to initiate playback in waveform mode, about half the time it works fine. The other half the time, the playback cursor will start moving right away, as normal, but the audio playback won't start for about half a second, so the cursor and the audio aren't lined up. Is this a known issue? Setting? I searched but couldn't find anything.
Is there an easy way to silence / mute audio ABOVE a certain threshold? I am familiar with AutoGate and removing noise below a certain threshold. My screencapture above shows audio in Premiere Pro but I do have Adobe Audition so I'm hoping this feature exists? If so, what exactly are the steps in Adobe Audition CC 2018?Just in-case you're curious what my use-case is, I have audio of me talking and a screencapture using Camtasia. I want to silence my voice and amplify the underlying audio as much as possible.
Audition can't record system audio, Windows 11, ThinkPad X1 Extreme. What shall I do? The Camtasia screen capture software can record computer audio. Thanks!
So I armed my track was getting ready to record and I got this message.
Hi guys, hopefully someone can help. I have just purchased a new macbook pro and wanted to keep using my focusrite interface for recordings. I kept everything set up just as before, but the only difference to my old laptop is that I now have to run the USB through an adapter due to the latest macbooks only have USB-C ports. Audition recognised that this interface was connected, by name and everything, so I have it set as the default input on the Audio Hardware preferences. However, when I try to record (ensuring the R and I buttons are both clicked on), it isn't receiving any signal. Weirdly, I am able to record fine on Audacity. And the mac itself is getting signal from the mic using this interface... it's just Audition that isn't liking it. I tried loads of things and nothing worked. Has anyone else had issues with adapters and Audition not linking up right? Would appreciate any help or advice. Thanks!
