I have some files, in HE-AAC format(converted from 16 bit wav). When I imported these files in Adobe Audition CC 2018, these files were converted to 32 bit wav file. If I save it as 24 or 16 bit wav file, it would cause quantization distortion. Are there any ideas about import aac file as 16 bit wav file?
Hi there, First time poster. I searched through the forum and could not find what I was looking for (maybe I am looking in the wrong sections, so I apologize in advance). I am recording a podcast, and this effect is very cool! I really feel like it makes my voice fuller and more pleasant to listen to. The thing is, this effect is just a tiny bit too extreme for me. First, the D's and the T's are accentuated a bit too much for me. Secondly, my mouth noises and breathing becomes very present. I use filters to remove or reduce the majority of these noises, but when applying these filters and afterwards applying "radio announcer voice" these noises suddenly return. I feel like it enhances everything. I tried removing lower db's but then my sentences stop suddenly and it makes it unpleasant to listen to. Does anyone know a preset that is a little bit more subtle? Or how can I reduce the effect of this preset, since it has almost everything I need, just a little bi
Good morning from Spain! 😉 My question is about Auditon 2023 in windows 10. With many recordings I have to insert 3 seconds of silence between recorded blocks within the same file. I do this while editing the files, deleting bad parts etc. So I mark the parts I want to delete and replace them with 3 seconds of silence. These parts can be short or longer. It works well with Edit->Paste->Silence. I've been doing it this way for years.I figured it might be easier to pick up a favorite for this. So I recorded this favorite but when I apply it I get an error. Unfortunately, my Audition is in Spanish, but in English the message might say "The recorded time selection cannot be applied." It seems that Audition does not accept that I want to replace wildly different time selections with 3 seconds of silence. Is there a way to program this step with a favorite or do I have to keep working with Alt-E-Q-S?Thanks very much! PS: Well this seems pretty hard to explain in a
Hi! I am a beginner producer creating music out of my bedroom! Whenever I try to export my song I'm working on, it makes pops and cracks in the exported file, but when I go back to the multitrack and listen, there's nothing there. I have tried creating different tracks for just the cracking sections, which has fixed some of the problems, but not all of them. And the cracks and pops aren't happening when a clip ends, it's happening in the middle of the clip too. I think I've narrowed it down to the automatic pitch correcter making the pops, but sometimes I play it back, and they disappear.I have spent so long researching and trying to troubleshoot this, so ANY help would be apprecieated! I'm seriously at my wits endThank you so much!
Why does Audition open aac file and extract aac soundtrack of video have the different length(duration) and delay? And the delay duration is 1024 samples(approximately 21 ms, 48kHz Stereo) 為何Audition CC 2018打開AAC檔案和影片中的AAC聲道會得到不同時長和延遲?且延遲是1024個Samples(約21毫秒) Clips and Demonstration Download URL
I'm a podcaster and I mix my episodes in Audition. I've recently been having an issue where episodes that are 1-2 hours in length are glitching and reading as anywhere from 5-9 hours in length outside of Audition. Editing the file in Audition: 1 hour, 18 minutes. Save the file and open it in iTunes or upload it to Podbean: 9 hours and 35 minutes. Same file. Is there something happening in the saving process that is doing this and how would I get it to stop?
Am I doing something wrong? If I'm not mistaken, a Multi-track Mixdown should be available whenever you're exporting a .wav, right? When I use the shortcut to Export, that works fine. But the menu is grayed. Could this be a bug? I've included a picture. I made sure my Audio Hardware setting were correct. I tried to use Audition 2017 and has the same problem.
I'm very new to Audition and have only worked with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign so far.I have been working on a group project which recquires everyone to work on the Multitrack session of our recordings. My partner sent me the final cut as .sesx but unfortunately all tracks are empty because the links to the original .wav files are not integrated within the session. Now I need to manually link every single one myself, without knowing which take she ultimately chose of the approximately 5 billion we recorded. Is there an option, similar to Indesign, where the .sesx session is saved in a file (or something) together with the connecting .wav tracks? I want to add SFX and filters to the cut, which is why i want to keep the .sesx format. Or is there an export type which would allow me to keep working on the tracks without them being reduced to one single track?
Hi there, Whenever I use option + scroll wheel to adjust the height of the tracks, the editor window jumps to the very top track as I adjust. This is challenging because it causes me to lose my place, and each time I have to scroll back down through 20+ tracks to get to where I was working. Running 23.3.0.55 on macOS 13.4
Hi, Unsure if anyone else has expereinced this, but I'm mixing two tracks in a Multi Track and everytime I save, close AA and reopen, my two tracks have slipped by a few milliseconds. Anyone expereincing similar/ has a fix? Thanks!
Hi all, one of my favorite albums was remastered a bit too bright in my opinion. I'm looking for ways to bring down the overall brightness without removing too much audio. Is an EQ my only option? Im good with audio programs but not great. How would you guys go about it? Thanks fred
Hi all, I have an album that was recorded from vinyl at 96Khz and 24bit. I applied some Fabfilter L2 and want to save at 16bit for cd listening. The question is should I dither since I'm samplong down and should I use adaptive or triangle? Thanks a million Fred

Adobe Audition 1 year plan not authorized by me. Now my card is being charged and I can't cancel without a cancellation fee. Can anyone help me cancel and refund for this? I never ordered adobe audition.
It seems like my recordings are clipping for some reason. I switched from mac to Windows and I'm very confused why this is happening. Can someone help me out? Here's a video so it's more clear.
and want to add various items to my Favorites like normalize to -3dB any help in here or can someone direct me to a user manual?
I recently upgraded to a Mac Studio (M1 Max, 64 GB memory, 2TB SSD, Ventura 13.4) . So far, Audition is behaving nicely (it didn't get along so well with my old Intel-based iMac Pro: lots of hangs and crashes, often resulting in the loss of edits or entire files)—with one exception (so far): I routinely use the Stereo Expander tool to make the low end frequencies mono (I'm recording performances with effects, so I like to get the low end under control). I tend to work with long files that I then edit down to more reasonable lengths; previously, using Stereo Expander on the low end might take three or four minutes. Now it is taking about an hour—NOT exaggerating. At first, I thought it might be one of those instances where the time remaining shows a large value at first, then shrinks considerably as it catches up—but no, that's how long it's taking. Trying the latest beta version of Audition has not helped, neither has changing the location of the cache folders to the int
I use the Essential Sound audio types a lot in my workflow to mark clips for quick mass edits. Currently this involves moving my mouse back and forth from the Editor panel to the Essential Sound panel just so I can click a single button to assign the highlighted clip to the audio type I want. This would be vastly improved by custom keyboard shortcuts for assigning each audio type.Essentially, a keyboard shortcut that presses one of these buttons for me: I imagine that this can be accomplished by a relatively simple script but it's confounding to me that this functionality doesn't have a keyboard shortcut.
Hello, I mix music for dance choreography and competitive purposes. Lately when I save a session and go back to open it up hours or days later the program gives me an error message and asks me to link my media. When I attempt to link it one file at a time it then rearranges and misplaces my audio. This is extremely frustrating, I need the steps on how to fix this and the steps to contact the right person to walk me through this. Thank you.
Hi everyone, here for the first time. I need help to know if this is a bug or something that i'm wrong. I'm setting some favorite, in particular "amplify -3 db", but once i press my shortcut to do this task, auditon will select entire wave form and not only the part that i want to amplify. I've the same shortcut in 2nd audition (mac os, with latest version of Audition) and this works perfectly. What am i wrong? The issue is on windows 10 pc with latest Audition version. Thank you, David
This is a weird one!Seemingly at random, whenever I attempt to playback audio, or record new audio (I'm a narrator) - Audition behaves... strangely. In either circumstance, the playhead doesn't move, no audio is played back (or recorded) - and the problem can only be resolved by restarting audition. Any tips to fix this?
Good Day,I am having issues exporting from Audition to Media Encoder. I have installed and reinstalled in reverse order as I seen in a previous post. It gives me an error.

I fine-tune audio podcasts in Adobe Audition. Sometimes the podcasts are an hour or longer. When I'm zoomed in and need to cut something, do a simple volume adjustment, or add a fade to a selection, it always takes way too long to complete. We're talking sometimes 20-30 seconds or more per edit. Auto-healing isn't too bad, thank god! However, any function that requires a screen-wide redrawing of the spectral display takes a ridiculous amount of time. To the point where sometimes I just go watch a quick YouTube video after every single edit. LOL. I have a very fast computer with very fast internet speeds, so that shouldn't be the source of the issue. I just think Audition isn't programmed to handle large files. I suppose the only way to solve this is to chop up the hour podcast into four separate 15 minute files. I can do that if absolutely necessary, but I thought I ask why Audition is so sluggish and if anything can done to improve performance in upcoming versions. Perhaps Audition sh
