Audition

Hello, My previous computer crashed. I have another one at work but for work I need one at home. Because of the crash of my laptop I bought a new one. I'm aware of the fact that I can install audition in 2 PC's. When I downloaded audition (2022 version) on my new laptop, via my account, I presumed that audition would ask me to cancel the download on my crashed laptop. But it didn't. It just downloaded audition. But when I try to edit, the sound is very bad. Pieces of the recordings are even not listenable. When I export the project in mp3 or Wav the sound is perfect. Is this problem caused by the fact that I have three accounts now? I would be so happy if this can be solved because of a very tight schedule and an urgent deadline. Please, help...

Hello! I'm using Adobe Audition 23.3.0.55 in Multitrack view, and I'm trying to select all of the clips I have in several tracks to assign them as "Dialogue" so that the clips in another track - flagged as "Music" - will duck properly. However, when I select my clips and assign the "Dialogue" tag in the Essential Sound panel, the tag is not applied. Is there some additional step that I need to take in order to apply tags in this way? Is this a known bug? I have a lot of clips and clip segments in these tracks and going through to flag them manually will be very tedious indeed. Thanks for the help.

Is there a way to hear sound when moving the playhead using arrow keys? I already activated playback while scrubbing, but it does not work when only pressing the arrow keys once. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

I am working on a project with a lot of files, many of which I'm recording straight into Audition. It's a narrative podcast and it would be great if I could group some of these files into the sections they go with, the way you can group layers in Photoshop. Is there anything like that in Audition?

I have recently been unable to record audio or play anything wether in Multitrack or edit mode, clicking the record button looks like it opens but the normal record does not start and I usually click no time limit and then OK and it starts recording immediately but not this morning for some unknown reason. The only thing I have done is closed AU and reopened it PLEASE ANYONE? 

Using Audition 23.3.0.55 on an M1 Mac running Ventura 13.3 When exporting my multitrack mixdown of an entire session, the markers are not included in the resulting file.  I have about a dozen markers in a 38-minute podcastI choose File:Export:Multitrack Mixdown:Entire SessionI ensure the "Include markers and other metadata" is selected I export as either .wav or .mp3, but neither file types include the markers. MacOS QuickView does not show any chapters, Forecast does not show any chapters. I opened a session that successfully exported the markers a few months ago and tried exporting a new file, and the markers were not included. This feels like a bug introduced recently.

This issue just started tonight...but when I'm using Audition it works fine, but if I go outside the program window for any reason (browse, editing in premiere, etc) when I come back inside nothing works. The space bar does not play and none of the record functions or anything else works. I have to restart the program or close the file and reopen it in order to continue my work. Is there an explanation for this?

My laptop has crashed. I use audition a lot. Now I have to transfer audition on my new laptop (with my accountname). But how do I do that. Seems complicated. 

Maybe I'm completely missing something.I used the Audition trial, liked it, purchased it at the end of the trial. Now I can no longer access the App, and when I want (using the Cloud interface thing), it says I need permission from an Administrator. I used the App on my personal computer. I'm the only one who uses it. I purchased it for me. Who is this random "adminsitrator" i need permission from? And whenever I got to the Adobe site for help, it says to contact my IT team or the administrator. I don't have an IT team. What is going on?

v23.3.0.55 - Windows 11 Education, 64-bitAfter Audition recently updated to this version, I'm running to issues of the XMP AES Cart metadata randomly being unable to save to files. Sometmes if I try to save the file again it works- sometimes it doesn't. I've never experienced this with Audition, in years and years of use. We are in a university setting, and our Adobe products are updated as new versions are released.- Greg

I get this error when saving any file.  The fil esaves fine, but this is a new pop-up each time.

After several months of problem-free AA3, I now keep getting the same message: "Runtime error R6025 - pure virtual function call" whenever I press the Edit tab. Does anyone know how I can resolve this problem? Will Uninstall and Re-Installing it work? I run Vista. I'm not really technically minded and it couldn't have come at a worst time as I'm trying to put together my entry for the Hospital Broadcasting Association awards with my limited AA3 knowledge. Hello!So I am trying to edit out some breathing in an audio file... I want to cut it out of the track without making the track shorter and having to split it into two tracks and trying to synchronise up where it would originally be with the rest of the multitrack. I just want that part silenced out with the rest of the track in the original time order. Any pointers?

HelloThe Film that I am working is from a VHS tape that is one hour in length. It is the audio that is of concern. The film's story is important and if I can possibly clean up the audio that would be helpful.I am new to using Spectral Frequency for audio repair. The film plays visually perfectly showing no celluloid damage. It is the audio that is the culprit. Throughout the one hour film is this remarkable audio annoyance. I have here for inspection 2 tiny samples of a speaker making comment and in the dialogue is this audio annoyance. Can that annoyance be reduced using Spectral Frequency - and if so how would this fix be applied? Understanding how the fix is utilized with Spectral Frequency will enhance my learning curve.Thanks for any comment on this issue. 

In the last week or so, whenever I attempt to add effects to a track in CC 2015, the Preset ox is unclickable. I've googled all over but can't figure itout. This just started happening. See picture. Any ideas?

I'm not sure whether this is a bug, or just a setting I'm missing somewhere, so thanks for any advice. Here's the issue: often (like more often than not) when I record a file and choose to save it as Mp3, I get an error pop-up that says "An error occurred when saving the file to disk. The destination may be full or no longer available." I can confirm that the destination is available and not full, it happens regardless of the destination, and this error never happens when I save as WAV to the same destination, only when I'm saving as Mp3. And if I click "ok" and try again with the same file name and destination, it saves just fine, sometimes even asks if I want to overwrite the file it just told me it couldn't save. For reference, I'm running Audition CC build 23.0.0.54 (but this has been an issue on any version at least as far back as October, when I started needing Mp3 files more often) on Windows 10 Pro. Not sure what other information would be helpful here, but happy to p

Hi friends I have just install Audition and I am new using the app. How can I remove these little icons that get in the way and appear on each of the panels. I can not see claraly all my tools in every corner and it is very uncomfortable. Below you can see a capure. Thanks you very much.   

While recording vcal audio, I notice the vertical bar that goes across the screen "jump" every now and then. On playback the audio skips ahaed as if it was a bad cut. Could it be the software? or am I missing something? 

Hi Everyone,  I've used Adobe Audition before, still very much a novice at the program. I plan on helping a friend create sounds on a game called Path Of Titans.  I plan to take inspiration from all different animal sounds to create the perfect broadcasts!  My question is this:  If I upload a file of a lion roaring and then upload a file of a tiger roaring, how can I combine or overlap the two files to make a unique sound? Thank you to whomever can help! 

Hi folks \ dev`sIt is possible to add the Raw Data custom type files to batch process ?For example, i can import any type files as raw data, but just as single file. And it works just fine. But how to do the same in batch area ? (for mass convert raw data to other format, respectively).

After using this tool for over a decade, I've realized that its UI is setup in reverse from what you wouldexpect, and visual representation of the effect is as well. Here are some screen grabs of a recent session cleaning a mono VO track.I have custom settings, and use an envelope to be more agressive outside voice range, protecing the voice. This image shows settings that have been giving me good results (counter-intuative to the UI y Axis negative DB scale). Once processed you can see in the waveform on the left as well as the frequencey analisis, that the baseline noise has been reduced. (Red is the unprocessed, Yellow is processed in the Frequencey Analysis tool )  I was setting up a new system with my custom settings, and started second guessing myself, so I made the envoelpe based on the Y axis oreintation as well as the spectral frequency NR preview... Hello, Ive been trying to record on audition and everytime I record it using WASAPI there is a weird crackle sound that I cant seem to get rid. I have tried changing the latency but nothing works. Any suggestions?

We are using Adobe Audition with a 12 channel IP audio driver. When we set up a multitracking session, the names of the devices that can be used for inputs are: Input 1, Input 2, etc. We have changed the names in the PC settings, but in Audition continue to just see Input 1, Input 2. Is there a way to rename these Inputs so they can be recognized by all users?

Hi, I'm using Adobe Audition CC 13.0.7.38 on macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. On the bottom right Audition indicates 18 GB available disk space, however my HDD (selected as Media and Disk Cache in Preferences) has over 360 GB available. For testing purposes I've selected an external HDD with 880 GB free disk space, however there's only 260 GB available in Audition. So I've tried it on another machine (macOS Mojave 10.14.6) with the same result. Why can't I use the whole free space of my HDD in Audition? Thank you!

Hi Audition lovers,I have used markers since forever, the shortcut key M to create one at wherever the cursor is.  Today I found that I press M, and it places a marker, but my view suddenly changes.  The visible area window has moved to the end of the current file.  The Marker was placed also. before here I am Press M and then suddenly I'm here (right end of the file) and my marker was created back where it was supposed toI checked my shortcuts for M and removed a couple (that were not related to cursor position) about adding CD cue markers (for Shift+M and Ctrl+M)Yet still, if I'm zoomed in at all, and press M, I get my marker, but then I teleport to the edge of the file, and have to maneuver back to where I was. Can you think of why this is happening?Thanks for reading!Audition 23.3.0.55, says I'm up to date.
