Hello, I am experiencing an issue when I playback audio that I've recorded in Adobe Audition. I was attempting to record my podcast and I'm so glad that I did a test clip first before I recorded a 30-60 minute file. I played back my audio and it is like it's playing 2x or 3x faster than I recorded. I have searched all over the community here and tried fixing the playback settings, audio hardware settings, and so far nothing has worked. I'm pretty unhappy at the moment and on the verge of cancelling my subscription if something doesn't work. I have recorded several podcasts with this exact setup and I have never experienced this before. Audition is updated to the current version (as of 9/11/2022), my PC is updated, all the drivers are updated, I have a USB condenser microphone that records in stereo 2 channel 24-bit (studio-quality), and I set my recording settings to match the microphone. It is a plug and play microphone and I have never not
Hi. I am currently licensing Acrobat Pro for $14.99/mo. I'm interested in adding Audition and Premiere Elements. There seem to be so many ways to purchase these apps. Can someone advise me on the best way for me to add these programs? Thanks.
Hi. In Pro Tools, I've seen you can do a short cut to automatically put in fade-ins and outs on a given clip. It was set to 1 frame specifically. Is there a shortcut to do this in Audition? Thanks in advance.
Here is my setup: the latest version of Adobe CC/Audition on a Mac Mini M1 - 16GB Ram/1 TB HD. I also have a Rodecaster connected along with 3 microphones (Shure SM-78, with a inline preamp). I am using the Template created via Rodecaster's suggestion to run 8 channels. 13 GB Ram dedicated to Audition The Problem: I've had this on several machines now (more or less the same set up). Randomly the recording coming in from any one of the mics has a stutter. As in words, sounds, and as much as a phrase gets randomly repeated. I've attached an audio sample. What I've Done: I've cleared the cache in Audition and restarted the computer/rodecaster. I am not out of options as to why this is happening and what can be done about it. I am happy to answer more questions about set up.
Hi!I'll explain my problem. A dear friend is going through a rough time with a toxic relationship, and to help cope with it he is drinking too much. Sometimes we send encouraging messages to each other over whatsapp, but he has a hard time doing so, cause his wife doesn't want him to talk to friends and she gets mad at him if she sees him texting. Right now he is in a very low self-steem mode and sometimes he says that perhaps all this he is enduring is just a test he needs to pass to get stronger (and so, doesn't dare to do anything to change the situation). Some days ago he send me in the middle of the night a quite long audio recording, 8 minutes. He was using the headphone's mic, and it seems something was off, cause the file is flooded with a constant noise and his voice is so thin I can barely distinguish it. After this he got really frustrated, saying it was a very important message and that he had expressed very genuine things that he could no longer replicate in a similar way d
The sound skips during playback. The problem is this: I’m playing a track, after a couple of seconds the sound disappears, but the track is still playing. The sound appears again if you pause and play again. What to do?
hello i made a new multitrack sesx file from my 'main' sesx file in order to mix more easily and then i copied and pasted mixed files from that session back into the main multitrack sesx file but the reverb and compression and other effects i had applied aren't present in the main multitrack sesx.plus, when i click on the pasted files i don't see the effects in the effects rack.if there is a solution i would be grateful to learn how to do it.thank you!
hellodoes anyone know how to change 'mix' in multitrack editor panel to 'master'?i think when i started this project i may have chosen 'mix' thinking that made sense since i was mixing tracks.but now i don't have a master track.thank you for any insights!
Hello,This might sound like an odd question.I produce a three-hour classical music show for a local radio station.I use the multitrack editor, and on one of the tracks, I record the intro and back announce to each song.I drag my music in as needed and then drag the audio I have recorded into the editing section. Is there a way Audition can keep track of the files I have dragged over to the multitrack? Perhaps with a small asterisk or a colour change?I hope that makes sense. Thanks!!
Gleich vorweg: "Normalisieren" hat nichts gebracht! Problem: Das Mikro hatte beim Aufnehmen immer wieder Aussetzer.
Hi Guys Very new to audition, primarily use Premire Pro and occasional tools in audition, i have recently shot at an event for 10 athletes and am doing ten short event highlight videos individually for each one. In reGARDS to soundtracks, is their any way to easily manipulate a song to slightly alter/ remix it. To save myself having to find ten different tracks could i potentially find one and alter it to use it on a different video? Thanks J
I can't think of a worse problem for an audio program to have, but here we are. 22.4.0.49It said it was converting to 48khz since that was my audio output setting. I changed that to 44khz. No change, no play. You know what, don't even bother to reply to this. I'm not even looking for a solution at this point, because I've lost all faith in Adobe. You suck, you've sucked for a couple of decades, and you'll probably continue to suck long after I'm dead. I just wanted you to know how much you suck.
Since the CC 2014 launch, the option in in Premiere Pro and After Effects to "edit in Audition" is greyed out. Right-clicking a clip in Premiere Pro doesn't have an option for Audition. I cannot send my compositions, sequences or clips to Audition for audio editing. I contacted an Adobe Support personnel earlier this evening. They suggested to go into my Mac's System Preferences and enable a root user, log out of my account, log into the root user, shut down and boot up into safe mode. None of these scenarios worked. It is still greyed out, in both user accounts. Is this a known issue? I even uninstalled and reinstalled Audition. Still nothing. All my Adobe apps are updated. My Mac is updated. Again, never had this issue before. I'd appreciate any assistance! Thank you!Cheers, Evan Lockhart

Hello! I'm new to Audition & I've spent most of today learning the basic tools of the program. I've watched a lot of tutorials on YouTube. A lot to learn but I think I'm getting it.Is it possible to remove wind noise from audio that was recordered on a mic? So far, I've learned how to remove hiss & hum's out but wind seems to be pretty tricky. Or worse, nearly impossible. Thanks!
Okay so I'm using version 22.6 of Audition. My OS is Windows 11 Pro and I have all the latest updates. My audio interface is a Scarlett 2i2, which I have the latest drivers installed.I tried resetting to factory defaults and my issue is still occurring. Here's the full details: In a multitrack session, for my individual audio tracks I have the input set as one of the two inputs on my Scarlett and the output is set as mix. If I arm the track I will get audio signal from my Scarlett, on that particular track. However, if I navigate to my mix (master) track I and look at the levels, I am getting nothing, even though I have the track output to send to mix. Is there extra steps or settings that I am missing? Is there something broken here? This is a core function of multitrack session and should be simple enough to function. I really appreciate your help.
My trial is over, so I purchased a plan.I tried to use Audition, it still says I should purchase a plan. I have an email with an approval of my purchase.I tried to contact customer service, but one agent decided someone else can help me better. The other agent doesn't answer at all. I'm spending over 30 minutes on this, when I had less then an hour to actually do what I had to do.With 2 babies, this hour is rare, so I just paid for nothing, as I can't use Audition, and I can't get any help from the CC. I'm seriously frustrated and upset here.
Lo and Behold, an Adobe product can't perform a simple function. Yes, folks. Believe it or not, Audition won't PLAY. It's an audio program. People PLAY audio. This program DOES NOT PLAY. I expected no less <insult removed>. It continues to boggle my mind how you are still in business, Adobe. You are terrible and you don't care AT ALL. I don't know what's worse than terrible, but whatever that is, that is YOU.
I have recorded a two person interview with 2 mics to discreet tracks. I would. like to remove coughs and "uhs" from the audio. The material I want to. remove is not only on that persons track but to a lessor degree on the other track as well. It seems I can only bring one track into the waveform editor but I wouylod like to clean up the same spot on both tracks. I really don't want to. mix them down if I can avoid it. Is ther a way I can keep the two tracks discreet but beable to remove unwanted noises, clicks and sounds over both trtacks at the same time?
Hello all,I have some interview audio that was recorded incorrectly by a stringer and now I'm trying to fix it. I'm wondering if someone can help. The interview was recorded with two separate microphones, and should have been set so that each mic was recording to it's own separate track.Instead, it looks like the stringer recorded to a mono file so that both lines are mixed together. This isn't critical from a listening standpoint, but it does not allow me to, for instance, boost the level on person independently of the other. My question is there some way to extract a mono recording back into separate tracks? Many, many thanks!Adam

Hello. I am a podcast editor Audition 22.6 on my Apple MacBook Air. I am experiencing a very frustrating issue whereby the timing on my multitrack clips seems to be subtly shifting every time I save, quit and re-open Audition. I have edited a 2.5 hour episode with multiple tracks numerous times now and can't seem to figure out what's going on. I make hundreds of edits (ripple time delete) to remove 'ums', strange sounds etc. and some of those sounds have re-appeared, or at least a portion of them. The result is anything but a smooth listening experience. E.g. A person will start speaking but begin their sentence mid word. I'm not sure whether saving the session file is shifting the timing, or re-opening the session. I have used Audition for a decade and have never experienced this insanely frustrating issue. Any help or advice would be appreciated. My podcast is basically on hiatus until I can solve this.
ADOBE AUDITION CS - Multitrack recording - Q: How do I prevent the recorded track (and the metronome) from being re-recorded on the track I'm trying to overdubb on? I'm feeding my mixer to the Adobe Audition from 2-USB Audio CODEC 1 & 2. I have done many recordings before, but for some reason I cannot figure this out. Please help.
