Audition

Hi, I had to leave my old computer and bought me a brand new one. On my old desktop I work with Audition 1.5 for many many years now! It's again working on my new computer too, but for one exception.I can't extract audio from an MP4 anymore. I've tried several plugins like neromp4, id3lib, cool_faac, msvcr71. None is working or I'm doing it wrong....Can any one help me to get this extraction working again?

Hi,I am trying to remove pauses from a one hour lecture following the youtube video:"Auto Remove Silence from Video | NO PLUGINS | Adobe Premiere Pro" In Diagnostics I first find levels on a small segment and then push Scan.If I select the length of the video less than 25-30 mins, it creates a correct sequenceof markers, a few words each. Say, on 25 mins video it creates 337 markers. However, if I scan the whole one hour video, it gives only 42 markers 1-2 minutes long.Is there a length limit for Scan? I can split my video into 25 mins segments but this ishighly inconvenient. Can anyone help?

Upgraded to a new Macbook Pro with Apple silicon (M1).  Used the migration assistant from my old Macbook.  I had installed the Other World Computing Aura memory upgrade.  Pretty sure I've deleted all the OWC extensions.  Reinstalled OS X.  Audition crashes on launch to the spinning pinwheel of death.  Any ideas? Thanks,Tony Lima 

I just bought an Acer laptop with the following specs,  I'm having trouble getting an previously-assembled Audition  project to run well.  Is it a problem with the computer's specs, processor, etc? Hi,I am exporting . encapsulated OMFs of long projects to be mixed by someone using Nuendo.First time I did it there was a single clip missing, which was fine for me to just send.But on another long episode there are loads of files missing and we cannot work out why. Has anyone had this issue before? We've tried opening them up on ProTools as well- it's definitely a problem with the OMF export. Any help greatly appreciated!Thanks,Geoff 

Help - I am using Audition CC 2017 and I am trying to record a Favorite. The error message I get says "A Favorite is currently being recorded" "to stop recording choose Favorites>stop recording" So I do that and it says " a new Favorite could not be recorded because no supported actions were recorded."I had started to record a favorite but then changed by mind and deleted the file. I think I forgot to "stop recording." When I closed down the program it asked if I wanted to save changes - I said "no." When I started up again and tried to record a new favorite I got the message that a favorite is currently being recorded. When I clicked to stop recording the other message came up - and both messages keep looping.

Can I use PreSonus Fader Port 16 with Audition?

Me gustaria compartir con ustedes una duda que no he podido resolver con adobe audition, tengo una mesa de mezcla que a su vez funciona como interfase de sonido de 8 canales y me gustaria saber si en mi sesión multipistas puedo grabar por lo menos 4 canales por separado de manera simultanea para conseguir grabar una bateria con 4 microfonos. Agradezco de anteano su atencion.  Espero puedan ayudarme.

Hola Buendia, existe la posibilidad en Audition de que un metronomo lo pueda poner como una pisto (forma de onda) para que cuando lo exporte pueda exportar con el sonido del metronomo tambien. gracias

Hola, queria saber si alguien me puede ayudar para saber si Audition tiene alguna herramienta para cuantizar automaticamente baterias. La unica forma que encuentro es hacerla a mano. Por otro la la regla de arriba (barra y pulaciones) no tiene forma de ver en grilla? para ver las lineas para abajo donde estan las pistas?  gracias por la ayuda

Hi,I'm from The Netherlands! And Yes, I know....I use the old Audition 1.5 from 2004 but I use this app for many many (!) years now because it can provide me with everything I need...: just recording, editing, playing, using effects and some things more..It's simple and that's why I like it. Don't want or need complicated new expanded apps which cost me days or weeks to just understand how they work. I just want to make music with it... I use to play mp3 files and record them while I play guitar for example for soloing on top of it or play the rhythm parts. Worked always great for a making a demo for me or other bandmembers.  But now I have a problem: Audition 1.5 doesn't record the internal audio in my computer any more. I have a pretty brand new state of the computer since 2019. This computer is through USB connected with a Soundcraft Notepad 12 FX, also with USB. This notepad has the latest drivers for WIN 10. In Options I check Monitor Level, Show Levels On Play

Every time I go to exit out of adobe auditions I'm told "one or more files are actively processing jobs." Any idea on how to find the files and stop them from processing?

Hello I purchased a new copy of Adobe audition 3 a few years ago but my computer died so I had to replace it with an identical but newer version I had installed my CD of Adobe audition 3 but the 30-day trial period ended and I haven't been able to activate.I heard that if I posted here I could get some help I was able to check and see if Adobe audition three works on my new computer during the trial period so that is positive I just need an activation code or something like thatI have an HP elitebook if that matters Thanks againMonika  Thomas I have been working on my podcast for 16 years with this version of Adobe audition so I'm really grateful that I don't have to learn how to use a newer version of Adobe because when I tried it it was like a completely different system! The noise reduction process is greyed out and will not let me use the function any idea on why? I've tried to delete the app and reinstall but still no luck.

Hola, nunca tuve problemas para grabar hasta hoy, presiono "grabar" y no inicia la grabación y ayer también tuve algunos inconvenientes para "editar" mis audios pero mas tarde se arregló; hoy no me deja grabar y no se arregla, he reiniciado varias veces mi equipo y nada.Por favor necesito ayuda, ya que trabajo como Voice Over y me urge seguir grabando para mis clientes. Uso MacBook Air (13-inch, 2017), macOS Monterrey (Versión 12.4)  

Hi all, thanks in advance.I'm editing a podcast, very simple stuff with minimal filters, and I've been doing it on this machine for over a year with no trouble. Today Audition started something new - when I press space to pause, the audio stops briefly (less than a second) then continues to play for 1 more second before stopping. Almost like I triple tapped the spacebar, but that's definitely not happening. When I press play to resume, it does pick up from where I originally paused, but the additional blip of audio is super frustrating.I'm on Windows 11 running the most up to date version of Audition and working on a heavy duty gaming laptop from Sager, which I only use for editing currently. Chrome Browser is the only other open window, and I haven't had any other issues with the computer or with Audition. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the whole program with the same problem.I've seen people with a similar issue in Premiere, but haven't seen any discussions about this in Audition.&

I saw an older post where someone asked this question but I didnt quite understand how to do this . There used to be a feature when before inserting audio files into your session in adobe , you can preview the file before doing so. Is this still available on the newer versions of adobe and if so... HOW if you could , can you explain to me as if I was a 3 year old. Thank you. I really miss this feature and would love to use it again.  Thank you so much! 

I have 3 audio clips with exact same speech generated by azure text to speech service. As 3 audio clips are using different tone, there are differences in the time finishing same sentences and words. Even I adjust the azure parameter and produce an almost exact total length, each individual sentence still have slightly different speed and finish time.  As the clip becomes longer, the shift difference accumulates and becomes obvious at the later part.The below audio clips are edited by detecting and cutting out the silent part, each audio clip has exact number of segment.What I want to do is align each segment at the beginning, even each sentence has slightly difference speed and ending time, the difference is acceptable to me since the shift problem is not accumulating anymore. so like the below image, I can align manually, but there are hundreds of clips. is there a method to this automatically?the azure service doesn't have any parameter to make this result, so the remaining cho

I am running edition version six on a Windows 7 machine. Yes I know it's a old machine but it works and it does what I needed to do. I am getting an indication that I have so many days left before the software stops working unless I sign in. I have a current account with Adobe and I am up-to-date and I can login to my account. But I'm still getting these messages saying that I only have so many days left. Is there a way to make this stop?

Hi! This frequently happens while I'm working, but it is a somewhat intermittent problem. I've had this issue working both with .mov and .mpr (h264) files: During a session, almost half of my clicks on the multitrack view cause Audition to freeze and, after it comes back 10-15 seconds later, the video window automatically resizes itself to a larger size (no matter if the base video is 1080p, 4k or 720p), messing up my workspace. This is AWFUL, and it makes me lose a lot of time and patience. I've tried, so far: - Different video codecs- Disabling hardware acceleration- rebooting the computer- reinstalling audition- installing more RAM (I now have 64 GB and a different brand)- changing the base SSD- changing the scratch disk I just can't figure out what is going on! I normally navigate through the session using the Time Selection Tool, and the most frequent scenario is when I directly right-click a clip to drag it around, but it also happens with Move Tool. I'm

I use Audition on Mac. I was editing a sound with more than 10 vocal tracks.  Each track has its own rack of sound effects.  When I play back, it gradually slowed down and generate electric noises.  I don't have this issue when the number of tracks is smaller than 5 or 6.  Can someone help?  Much appreciated.

So I can see the start and end of songs which amybe quiet, can I increase the height of WFM's? I have track hieghts maxed and don't want to incerase the volumes, but see the quiet bits?
