Congratulations Adobe! You have managed to mess up every single program you have made. Even Bridge is useless piece of crap nowadays, starting around year ago. No matter what computer, Win/Mac I use and how powerful they are.  It freezes all the time, so working with it is impossible. The same goes with Indesign, errors that you know, but you wont fix, Illustrator that sometimes rotates sometimes resizes, Premiere that won’t operate on older macs and no way to rollback to old version. Acrobat UI is like a useless toy. Photoshop is only decent program that you have even with those useless old art history brushes etc. You still managed to get you monthly rising payment from us dull sheep. Do you start you mornings by thinking what completely stupid features to make and see how long people are going to pay? You don’t even test these programs because we users do. I've really tried hard to use this version and was an early supporter of the effort, but it's just a complete violation of a UI by my standards.   It's possible that the 1/8 wide scrollbars were the final straw, but it could be the Multiple Tab windows, each wasting precious screen real estate with  'Content:' (duh) before the folder name, or the fact that the tabs don't even look like tabs.  I got more.... The scaling of anything other than 'miniature'  means I cannot see more than one workspace in the header...just a lot of empty space and a slider that should slide further to the right to reveal them.  Maybe it's the floating docked windows with no navigation on them that  makes things more challenging.Or that the whole app looks like a flat black window with a bunch of text, some of which is in the menu bar (I think), some of which is in the tabs.  I mean, it's all I can do anymore to locate the window title bar to move it, without grabb

When a RAW file is selected, the preview is automatically generated, regardless of the previously set preview size. It's adobe bridge 2023. The software crashes as soon as I start it.  It would be helpful if you could tell me how to deal with it. A .crash file was generated when the software crashed. I have attached the file converted to txt format.  Thank you.

Apple released macOS 14.2.0 on December 11, 2023. The title says it all. I browsed file types and didn't find a match. So I have to live with folders in SC – or is there a trick I can use? 

Displaying metadata for multiple files can be difficult or impossible in thumbnail or list view modes. This is a demo script to show metadata in a floating window, using a listbox control. You could easily swap out other metadata values as needed by editing the source code. I wrote this specifically for my use which is why I used Description and Copyright. Save this script as PLAIN TEXT with a ".jsx" file extension and put into your Bridge Scripts folder. I am copy/pasting names provided by a client into thumbnails in Adobe Bridge.Every so often, Bridge refuses to accept a file name and I get the following message:"This file cannot be renamed (my file name) because the name contains characters reserved by the system. Please choose a different name." The only characters in the names are letters (upper and lower case), numbers and underscores. Nothing else. What's more, if I type in the name (instead of pasting it) Bridge accepts the name. Finally, if I reboot Bridge, it accepts the pasted names for a few files and then the problem starts again.Looks like a bug to me. Any suggestions?Thanks.D. 

Where does Bridge CC store Favorites?I'm running latest version of Bridge CC and moving from a Windows 7 PC to a Windows 10 PC. Most of my settings etc transfered, but not the Favorites. Before the move I backed up everything in this directory and all sub folders:C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge CC 2017On the new PC I restored everything in that backup. Then used the Creative Cloud app to install Bridge. The app "sync'd" files. But not the Favorites. Thinking perhaps the app over wrote the Favorites I again restored from my backup - same results, I have everything except Favorites. BTW, "everything" includes my Collections, but not the Favorites.I searched both old and new PCs (C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe) and below for the word Favorites and got no hits.I fear I'll have to have both PCs side-by-side and recreate the Faves one-by-one. =:-OThanks in advance,Frank

When previews are being geneated, the Preview window refuses to stay scrolled down to the bottom. It "snaps" back up one row. This is annoying becuase I want to select all images in the view, I can't select the last one because the window keeps scrollign back up. The attached video demonstrates the behavior. Bridge 14.0.1.1372023 Macbook Pro with M2Mac OS 14.1.2

I normally use lightroom.. but I thought I would try bridge for selecting images before importing to Lightroom. But without a zoom (even to 100%) to check focus it is useless. In fact its no good at all for oraganising and selecting images as unlike lightroom it needs Ctl + number to rate an image and alt + delete to reject -- two keys when one only one is needed in lightroomn.

I'm new to Bridge and I'm using the free version with Adobe Photoshop Elements 2024 on my mac/sonoma.Things are going well, but there is a weird behavior with the Recent Photoshop Files list (using both the clock icon and the menu bar).  On both my mac and in Bridge I have set .psd, .jpg, and .png with PSE file associations.  When I open a psd file using the Bridge application, it doesn't add it to my list; even after saving the file in PSE.  At first I thought maybe it has to do with the connection between the two apps, and maybe it doesn't work with PSE, but I have 2 old psd files and a png file in the list.  The strange thing is that I haven't used these files in months.  I have never had a cloud version of Bridge or PS on my device (so it isn't that).  Any ideas on why the Recent Photoshop Files section is behaving so strangely?  It would be super helpful if that worked.  Thanks in advance.....

Hello! Does anybody has similar problem?  It stucks, when I want to rename files on Bridge. Uninstall/install helped just for a couple days and now it's back. MacOS.

I'm not sure, for me it's a bit irritating, I think the window bar and the propriate macOS buttons look a bit scaled down on my desktop. On the laptop screen the buttons got really small. Is this normal like this? Tried to install Bridge again but the bar stays a bit thinner than all other system bars. 

Bridge allows saving and applying metadata templates but it can be a bit fiddly as you must be showing the Metadata panel and have to hit small submenus. This script puts a popup menu in the bottom navbar which lets you apply templates much more easily. I wrote this for my own use and am releasing it as a demo here. Save this script as PLAIN TEXT with ".jsx" file extension and place in the Bridge Scripts folder. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can stop it? I use bridge to select my best images for editing but it's taking me so much longer becase there can sometimes be 10 of the same photo showing up after I open the folder in Bridge? In the original folder when I open it in the finder it only has 1 of each image obviously so just not sure why this is happening! Screenshot attached

I can't figure out where I'm wrong in the settings, before it didn't do this.before loading raw photos was smooth, now I have to wait for it to load a preview.I set "prefer embedded" I have a fast USB-C external hard drive, a MacBook Pro M1

Any possibility of a return of wordwrap functionality when typing text in fields that have  traditionally always  had this functionality in the past, such as IPTC Document Title and Headline, etc.?    I would also suggest the return of single click highlighting of the text in a particular metadata field for the purpose cutting amd pasting.  This would improve performance greatly for those of who deal with lots of metadata.  ps.  I am otherwise very happy with Brideg 14.1      🙂 

"I don't see any cloud files in Bridge. Do I need to configure something for that?"

Looking for advice.  I have certain folders with 3,500+ family photos/videos and growing. Keywords and smart collections are great for organizing, but wondering how others handle this?  Is there an advantage to keeping folders below a certain number of files?  Is it time to start a "continuation" folder?  I recall years ago Picasa would set a limit to 1000 files in a folder I believe?  (perhaps that was just for cloud storage purposes...) Mind you, my question isn't pertaining to cloud storage (I'm using dropbox to keep these photos synced in the cloud--not Adobe Cloud), i'm wondering more about the performance of Bridge loading/indexing/generating previews, etc.?  Any thoughts?

Since Prelude was discontinued, Bridge has normally worked fine for scanning and importing video clips.   Many have reported HIGH CPU usage, I'm having the opposite problem.   I have reset settings, uninstalled & reinstalled bridge...all the regular protocol seen anywhere in blogs.   0% CPU, 0% Previews.  Anyone know what I am doing wrong?     

Truly annoying behavior - attempting to single click images immediately opens them in Photoshop  - HELP! I only want to open in another app if I double click - I am single clicking all the time...

Getting the error: ParseValue unexpected charHappens on opening Bridge, once clicked Bridge closes.Only happens when accessing our company server remotley. Please Help!
