Word u.a.
Two problems now with moving files around in bridge.1. With the past bridge I could move a folder from the Bridge file browers into the "Content" window simply by dragging it from the Bridge file browers to the "content" window situatate right next to it. Now, when I do this, as soon as I click on the file I want to move to drag it to the file that is active in the "content" window, as soon as I do so, the file I want to move becomes the active "content" window and when I try to move the file I get a message "you can't move a file into itself". Yes of course this is true but if by simply trying to move a file by trying to drag it makes that file the active content window, what else could be expected?2. When I do move files I now have to move them only within the Bridge file brower window but as soon as i move anything, the file browser bounces up to the very top of the file browers and then I have to scroll back down to the part of the browers window I was working in. It seems tr
The Grid Lock view adds a grid around each thumbnail box and snaps box to be evenly divided into the width AND height of the thumbnail view window. The number or rows and columns adjusts automatically as the thumbnail size is increased/decreased. In previous versions of Bridge for as long as I can remember:Using the page up/page down keys, up/down arrow keys, up/down scroll bar arrows, clicking to jump the scroll bar, and using the mouse scroll wheel would all advance the thumbnails up/down by exact row increments (single/multiple or whole page). Dragging the scroll bar would result in a shifted grid, but then all inputs above would function as noted but with the new grid position exactly until the first or last "page" is reached then snapping back to the original grid layout. In 2023 version 13.0.0.562 Bridge:page up/ page down keys no longer function 😞up/down arrow keys make an initial grid shift slightly off from "page 1" and then increment by whole row i
Hello ! So I've just updated Bridge to the last version and I lost my mouse back and forward functionality. I was used to navigating quickly through my folders but now I can't find the shortcut key to map my mouse buttons.Am I missing something ? Thanks!
The new Adobe Bridge 2023 has suddenly startd showing the file folders out of sequence. I have for years labelled all my folders in reverse chronological order: 2022.10.18 xxxxxxxx (where xxxxxx is a title for the folder). This has always worked in putting all my folders in chronological order. However, the new version treats October, November and December as coming after January. So, for example, 2021.1.23 xx is now followed by 2021.10.12 yyy, 2021.11.10 zzz, 2021.12.25. aaaa and then 2021.2.13 bbbb. This means the last set of folders in each year are now September.Interestingly, the Filmstrip and Essentials view of the folders (not the images within) is still in the correct sequence - or how I would expect to see them?
With the release of the 2023 Bridge, my folders are no longer displayed in the correct order. My naming convention begins with the year then the job number, ie 2023.50. Previous behavior was to list these folders in numerical order in the same way Finder does. Now, if there are more than 99 folders with that sequence, the folders are displayed as 2023.01, 2023.02 [...] 2023.09, 2023.10, 2023.100. Instead of the next folder being 11, it shows 100. I've attached a screen shot showing part of my Content tab for 2018, as an example of this.
After updating to Bridge, I always get a pop-up after inserting my SD card into my computer asking how I want the files to be handled. I always select to upload to Bridge. After the major update yesterday, I answered the same way and the first time I inserted a card I got an error message saying "application not found." Adobe tech support was unable to figure out the issue last night after about an hour in the chat room. Anybody else?
I installed the Adobe Bridge 2023 update. I never really used Bridge much before, but planned to start. When I opened Bridge 2023, the laptop screen started flashing every few seconds and everything was slightly off-center (not just the Bridge window--the whole screen). Then the below error window showed up. I have no idea what it means and could not find any reference to it associated with Bridge. Closing and restarting Bridge didn't resolve the issue, but restarting my computer seems to have resolved it fow now at least. But the incident made me nervous. What caused this problem and how can I fix it so that it doesn't happen again?
Hello, her ist Holger from Germany. I need help with the new bridge 1. In an older version of bridge (till summer 22) I open a folder and show the thumbnails below as a filmstrip, for example, and in the preview I saw exactly one image, namely the image that I clicked on as a thumbnail in the filmstrip. I can switch from preview to large screen mode with the space bar. New bridge version: When I watched a few photos by using the arrow keys in the large screen mode and then go back with the space bar in the preview mode, my filmstrip has 2 images enabled and I see 2 images in the preview. If I then use the spacebar to click on large-screen mode, I don't see the image that I just clicked small with the spacebar, but a different one. If I continue to work with preview mode and large-screen mode, I cannot use the arrow keys (cursor keys) to jump from one picture to the next, because the program shows pictures that I did not expect. I don't understand the logic. Can I set bri
Brdige 13 will not preview large psd / psb files.I have large psb files and have no issue in Bridge 12 when the thumbnail size is increased from 1,000mb to 250,000 mb (Do not process files larger than...) It would seem that the increase does not register as when I test I can see everything less than 1,000 but nothing over. I've reverted back to 12
Since v13 update. Tried several times to use Copy to (via mouse right click) to copy multiple files to another directory. Apparently ignores the command. Had to use Copy, then Paste.
In the new Adobe Bridge 2023, the order in which folders appear has changed. I name all of my folders with the date in reverse order forst , followed by a a title: 2022.10.19 xxxyyy for example and this has alwast meant that my folders run in chronological order in the folders panel BUT now 2022.10.19 appears after all the January folders (2022.1.12 xxxxxxx). All my historic folders now run January, October, November, December, February, March etc. If I look at the folders in the essentials or filmstrip view they are in the correct order. Is there a setting to correct this in the folders panel or is it a bug?I'm using a Mac with OS Monterey.
If I select a folder from the Folders panel in Bridge ver 13.0.0.0562 and then select Purge Cache from the Tools menu, the cache will clear but the folders displayed in the Folders panel will start at the top instead of staying on the folder I selected.I'm running Windows 11
Hi all,Have just updated Adobe Bridge to 2023 yesterday. Some issues found so far listed here:Using Windows 10 latest.Press space bar shows selected image full screen, press space again and it goes back and shows 2 of the same image.Press enter moves to next image for some reason.Ctrl and move image used to copy the image to a new folder. This doesn't work in 2023.Folder shorcuts dragged onto the favourites don't work. You need to use the original file.Thumbnail resize scroller is confusing as it overlays the view modes when content window is reduced in size. Otherwise all good.
NP
There's a misspelling in the Bridge 2023 Column titles…Dimensions is misspelled, “Dimentions.”
Deleting Files in Content Window Requires User to ScrollDeleting photos in Bridge 13.0 Content Window (using ctrl-delet) causes thumbnail display to redisplay with the first file at the left of the window. This new behavior is annoying because I have to scroll back to where I was in the Content Window. In previous versions, after deleting a file, all the thumbnails to the right of the deleted file moved left and I could carry on from there.
After the 2023 update, I lost the following functionalities:The side mouse buttons, which help me to go backwards or forwards within a folder (similar to a web browser going backwards or forwards in levels) are no longer functional. The other thing is that sorting files by name no longer respects the underscore before the name so that they are sort at the top of the list (which happens in windows explorer and in the bridge 2022 version).
I cannot get the Metadata Placard to display in the Metadata Panel. I've checked the display placard box in metadata preferences and by right clicking on the Metadata Panel. Nothing seems to get the placard dislpyed.Any help is appreciated PhilD
My (Windows) folder naming convention was to have the most important and frequently accessed folders named starting with an underscore. Prior to the update to 2023, these were listed first. Now they appear under folders starting with a number. The same goes for filenames, which is another buggeration factor. Thank you, Adobe! I nearly cr4pped myself when I thought tens of folders containing thousands of files had disappeared! I can't see anything that will enable me to revert to the previous listing order. Why? Why? Why?
With the new Bridge version 2023 (13.0.0.562), manual sorting in collections no longer works (a clear case of "aggravation-improvement"). Who knows a workaround?
