When I attempt to read any time related metadata say, "exif:DateTimeOriginal" (it also happens with pretty much any other XMP Date field), the formatting is completely different from what the XMP specification indicates. I get something like "mm/dd/yyyy, hh:mm:ss". There is no time zone. The XMP specification indicates that dates should be in W3C format (a subset of ISO 8601). I know the date metadata is correctly embedded in the image files because if I export the metadata using Bridge, it is displayed in W3C format (including the time zone). Perhaps the date metadata isn't being put into the thumbnail cache correctly? Is there a way to extract the date in W3C format without having to parse it? I also need the timezone. Thanks! Jake

I have the following problems with the search and workflow on my computer.- No results although the file names are available.- Search in the subfolders not possible- Very slow performance- the programme crashes very often- Maintaining the metadata is very time-consuming and inefficient.After resetting the default settings, the same problems again after a short time Configuration:- Adobe Bridge 12.0.1.246- Windows 10 Pro- FUJITSU CELSIUS M740power- Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-1630 v3 @ 3.70GHz 3.69 GHz What are the possibilities to eliminate the problems?

This support system is full of old requests for .CR3 support (why are they not removed?), and the various pages are full of misdirection toward DNG conversion that does not work wasting untold hours of users time. Plus there are many (very typical) replies (that do not answer the issue) by Adobe employees of the type: "Look here for supported file types" or "be patient." What is the current status of Adobe .CR3 support in Photoshop Camera RAW? And please nothing about using the DNG converter or visiting the list of file types. Just the bottom line on how to get from a .CR3 to Photoshop (not Lightroom, Photoshop).

My photographs often overlap genres. I'd like a way to label each photograph with one or more genres. My goal is to be able to select, for examples, all "abstract" photos or all "nature" photos. And I want an abstract photo from nature to be in both catagories. Got ideas? Thanks, Phil

Hi All,I'm trying to keep certain settings from workspace to workspace in Bridge.  For example, whenever I open my 'normal' saved workspace I get the attached workspace where the thumbnails are tiny and 'divider line' between the left and the right is way over to the right.  I keep that line closer to the left and have my thumbnails much larger.  This used to be 'sticky' but I can't seem to make it work anymore.  Thanks! Mac os 12.3.1Bridge 12.0.1.246

I have put a large number of photos into sequence ina file.  When I look in File Manager the photos are shown in their original order.   If  I downloaded and used Adobe Output Module for Bridge CC 2017 version 7.0 would that enable me to send the photos in the sequece I want to a friend?                 

I am currently exporting a Cache for shared usage. 21000 images. About 4000 of them are PSDs, mostly RAW based photos with minor edits (all saved without composite layer /max compatibility) to save disk space > cuts down file size to about a third.Is it expected that creating thumbnails for this relatively low number of files takes about an hour?

Chosing the root folder and even showing all subfolders shows no results in the Bridge search function.I can search Windows File Explorer and get results, but not Bridge.Version 12.0.1.246 Also, having to display all subfolders and items is a memory-heavy process and extremely ineffecient. It would be preferrable just to search file names and display the results, just like File Explorer, except with generated thumbnails.I've searched other discussions on the forum, and the problem seems to have existed for 4 years with the only solution being 'Show subfolders and items', which didn't solve the issue originally.

Having a problem with bridge reading the files from the xqd card.  The files show up as .NEF but I cnnot open with camera raw from bridge, the icon for camera raw is greyed out.  My laptop does not have a card reader so I am plugged into the camera HDMI port.  Not sure what I need to do here...

When opening a folder with Photoshop files, Bridge only give me thumbnails of roughly half the files. I've tried refreshing the view, resetting preferences and also changed the preferences on how big a file to process the thumbnails. Nothing makes it show up. Pic attached to what I see

Hi all trying to upgrade bridge and PS too see CR3 files from the new canon cameras, nothing is working, says file type cannot be opened and in preferences there is no option for that file type, Thanks in advance Bill

Hi! I'm using Bridge on two computers and I have defined simple workflow on both - change resolution and save as JPG. And on first coputer it saves metadata, on another - not. And I don't know why - the only diffenrence is that one is Mac with Intel, second with M1... And on mac with M1 metadata is not saving. Any ideas?

Tirei algumas fotos com minha câmera e sempre usei o importador de fotos do Bridge para transferir para o computador, mas dessa vez eu criei uma pasta com algumas fotos que estava selecionando no cartão SD e quando fui transferir para o computador, todas as fotos dessa pasta foram deletadas, ele transferiu apenas as fotos que não estavam nesta pasta e como eu sempre fiz o procedimento sem problemas, mandei excluir as fotos que já haviam sido transferidas. Ele deletou não só as transferidas, como estas que não foram transferidas. Como arrumar isso? Essas fotos podem ter ido para algum outro lugar no computador? Com outro nome? Isso é muito sério! Eram fotos de um evento muito importante!

What else is one to think, when months pass, telling Adobe techs, that if you search by rating, the only choice is reject.  And videos give wrong dates and times. This is not just on my computer, as Adobe techs verified and also I checked with someone else who has the adobe extortion subscription.  One can absolutely not get through to any real person to do anything about these and other problems.  And though I am obviously connected to the Internet and just updated Photoshop, there is no new corrected update for Bridge, as repeatedly pleas to the Adobe help techs to pass the unresolvable problems to management has changed nothing.  So I am connected, paying ~$11/month for defective programs I can't even use, because it is saying my subscription can't be verified as I try repeatedly to open Bridge.  I can update CR and Photoshop but can't be verifed to open Bridge. I'm trying out Bridge for the first time.  When I first installed it, I could double-click on a photo and it would open in an editor/viewer (I'm not sure whicn one - I wasn't paying attention). But after the first update (which happened automatically), when I click on a photo nothing happens.  I checked the file associations and they are all blank.  So that's the first thing - the update appeared to wipe out the file associations that were there by defult from the install.Now, if I try to add a file association (for .jpg for example), what do I set it to?  When I go to change it, there is a "browse" button, so I guess I have to browse to an .exe file for some photo editor.  The problem is, I can't find one.  I have Photoshop Express, but I can 't find an .exe for it.  After changing folder security settings, I was able to get into the \WindowsApps  folder  and find the Windows Photos app, but that app can't be started by simply running

Hi all, I have problem that Bridgen can't open an external SSD drive. I recognize the drive but refuses to open it så I can't open the maps on it and reach my image-files.Photoshop has no problems open the drive. Thanks for your help. /CekariYH

Hello - I recently updated my photoshop to 23.3.1 on my 2020 Mac Mini M1 and bridge stopped previewing some of my files. On my 2016 MacBook Pro Bridge previewed all of my files correctly but I did notice that I'm running photoshop 23.3 on my laptop. So I downgrade my photoshop on my Mac Mini to 23.3 and that didn't solve the problem. I upgrade my photoshop on my laptop to the latest version 23.3.1 to see if Bridge on my laptop would start behaving like Bridge on my Mac Mini but it worked fine. I don't know what else to do! I need some help, please.

I am using Bridge Version 10.1.1.166, which I believe is the latest version, on a Windows 10 PC. When I have finished editing my RAW files I can convert them to JPEG from Bridge in two ways (maybe there are more than two ways but I am not familiar with any others.)Method 1: I select my images in Bridge, go to Tools>Photoshop>Image Processor and choose to save as JPEG with options set as required.Method 2: I think this may be relatively new, well it is to me! Use the Export Panel in Bridge I drag my images onto a previously created preset which is set up to export as JPEG with options set as in Method 1. There is no option here to convert the colour profile to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 but that seems to happen by default using this method. I like this method as it does not involve opening Photoshop. Both methods work fine but I see one difference which is that Method 1 produces JPEG files with the file extension "jpg" whereas Method 2 produces JPEG files with the file extension

While many applications use caching for speed of operation it does add a limit to the manageable size. Bridge 2020 version does not handle the notification of running out of cache resources too well. As cache use is accumulative, the size of the batches are proportionally reduced with each run until Bridge gets bogging down or even freezes. It would be nice if Bridge could indicate when it is time to clean out the cache before reaching this stage. Once Bridge becomes unresponsive I must resort to the kill application function on my system. When Bridge is restated the cache is empty. Unfortunately that often means reselecting a new batch and sometimes even building a new search index. To ensure I don't lose any file keyword metadata in the process I usually create a collection from the selection to fall back on after killing Bridge and starting it up again. I really need more computer resources to cover the batch volumes I am working with... but that's another story.

how do i get Bridge to work with no internet 

After upgrading to OS 12.3.1, the latest version of Bridge cannot see subdirectories on external drives. The files are all there and can be opened by Photoshop / ACR. I was using Bridge immediately before the installation and immediately afterwards it could not see the subdirectories. Bridge has all the pernissions necessary to access the drive. Any thoughts?

When I try to load multiple NEF (RAW) files as PS layers from Bridge i.e. Tools/Photoshop/Load Files as Photoshop Layers I get the following: "Instal the latest version of Photoshop to continue" I have the latest version installed !

CS6 Bridge.  The default in viewing my thumbnail photos is Generate Quick Thumbnail.  I want to change the default to Generate High Quality Thumbnail. If I right click on Generate Quick Thumbnail. it will change to Generate High Quality Thumbnail for tje thumbnail Any suggestions?

Hello, Ihave Premiere, photshop, Bridge an Encore CS6 paid license which I perfect for my use.Suddely I do not have previe thunbnails from my Canon MXF videos in Bridge CS 6 anymore on My OS Windows 10 pro 64 bit Laptop.. I looked for a solution on Adobe, but the only thing Abdobe wants you to do is take a cloud subscription.However I want to keep using my CS for which a paid a lot of money.Also all CS6 update page are gone, you canont find any download software / updates for CS6 on adobe. Why???? Can anyone help me to get the MXF tumbnail previews working in CS 6. On my other PC which is runing on OS Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, the MXF previe do work in Bridge CS 6
