Hello! I am a new user of Adobe Bridge. The company I work for is interested in using the application to organize our photos for easier access. My questions are:Is there a way to import photos from a shared cloud-based service or do the photos have to be downloaded to the computer and accessed from there? How would my team be able to access the library and image files? Would we need a shared account?Hopefully my questions make sense. Thank you in advance.
Does batch rename tool not work with ampersands anymore? I want to rename files that include "&" in the file name but it's not working. It just removes the "&"Bridge v13.0; macos 12.6
Please can someone help me? I've uploaded lots of folders in bridge which have many images in them.Showing at the moment is each folder only with a date on them. Is it possible to show all the folders contents , so I can see each image from every folder on the main start up page, rather then jut a content of one folder? Basically so I can see 1000's of images at start up? Thank You Terry
I'm not sure if this is the right tool for the job but we're trying to store a bunch of images and classify them by the type of waiver / release forms we have. I know I can do that, but I can't figure out how to somehow link the image to the specific PDF file that contains the form so we can find it if we need it. Is there a way to do this with Bridge that I'm missing? Thanks in advance.
Hi everybody, folders and files on the external drive cannot be displayed in Bridge, after last Bridge update. So far it has always worked.
I see there is now an app.batchRename() method but its not documented. Testing it makes Bridge 2023 crash with no errors. "disc" is one of my saved Batch Rename presets. Please document this new method as I'd love to start using it. try{ var thumbs = app.document.selections; app.batchRename(thumbs, 'disc'); } catch(e){ $.writeln(e); }
Is it possible to change the size of the scroll bars in Adobe Bridge 13? I think they were bigger in the previous version. In ACR the scroll bars ar better sized! Win10, main display 2560x1440. Bridge 13.0.0.562. I'm using the horizontal filmstrip, and I normally scroll through the images by clicking in the scroll bar. In this manner, I can be sure that I see all the images without skipping any. But after the update to v.13 I find the scroll bars narrower then before, and it is hard to click on it. Sometimes I select a few images, and then skroll further to see other images, but when I accidentally click just a bit too high, my selection is lost.
The File Info prefs is obscure, why not have it in the regular Preferences?
Actually http://www.iptc.org/standards/photo-metadata/iptc-standard/
Note that the Corrected Time display is cut off.
All application windows should show up in the Windows taskbar, when the Bridge tile is hovered over. A detached content window doesn't do this.
I'm running Photoshop and Bridge CC, everything was processing fine until I went away for a week, now when I open Bridge and click on a photo and try to open in Camera Raw, it says I can't unless I have an authorized version. I can open Photoshop and find the same RAW file, open it and do all manipulations that I would do in Bridge, but when I say Done, the file closes and goes away. I have to go back to OPEN and look through the folder for what I want to do next. I can rename in Bridge but I can't open there in Camera Raw, only inside Photoshop, then I have to back to Bridge to batch rename. I've uninstalled Bridge, reinstalled it, uninstalled Photoshop, reinstalled it, opened Photoshop, closed Bridge, opened Bridge, nothing makes any difference. Is there a bug in the latest update? Please help.
Suddenly some RAW files don´t show in Bridge on my mac. Specially images that were taken more than a year ago, although they were all taken with the same camera. When I use Finder to overlook the same folder, all the images are there. If I open and close an image in Finder it will afterwards show up in Bridge. My external hard drive shows with it´s icon in Bridge but it seems totally empty. But everything is there when I use Finder to overlook the images on the drive. Is this familliar to anyone? 🙂Best,Philip
In Bridge 2022 and prior, for years, I can: Select an imageClick field(s) and Tab to edit details in the Metadata panelPress Enter to save/apply changes (as long I'm on a single-line field)Focus returns to the Content pane, where I can press my right arrow key to select the next imageClick in Metadata and repeat In Bridge 2023:Select an imageClick field(s) and Tab to edit details in the Metadata panelPress Enter to save/apply changes (as long I'm on a single-line field)Focus remains in the Metadata pane. I cannot select the next image unless I click in the Content pane to select the next imageClick in Metadata and repeat Step #4 has changed, and it really slows me down.
Per user requests, I'm adding a feature to my MultiSearch Plus script which will save results to a collection. I have to create a collection using app.createCollection(). After testing, this works correctly in Bridge 2022 but in Bridge 2023, the Collections panel doesn't refresh unless manually closed and reopened.
Two issues.. any insights?1. why do some of these presets not show a preview, and instead, just an icon? (see icon.jpg)2. double-clicking an animation preset results in an error message in AE... I found i can right-click to select "Place in After Effects".. but that's not what the reference I am learning from instructed.. did behavior change? is something messed up w/ my install? Happens whether I have characters selected (text.png) or the text layer selected (layer.png).
The procedure in Bridge:Point at one image thumbnail in the Content section and press the space bar. The image is shown in the Preview section (and I meassure a certain distance in the image to be 92 mm). This is the same distance shown in Photoshop at "100 %", so this is 1:1. Now, if I point the cursor at something in the image and press the left mouse button, the image is enlarged relatively to the point where the cursor is located (and the distance meassured has been enlarged to 138 mm).Problem: At the same time the message "100 %" appears at the screen (but only the first time). This largest image is not (1:1) and should not be called "100 %". It's actually 1.5 times larger linearly, i.e. 1:1.5 (in this case).
Can anyone tell me what the LogTransport Application is that keeps popping up on Windows Task Manager under the Adobe Bridge group of processes?
Has anyone experienced this? When I import images from my EOS R + SanDisk 256 Extreme Pro cards 170MB, I am getting strange previews in the EOS Digital#1 File - they appear corrupt (downloading fine) but when I open the Digital #2 files they appear fine/download fine.+ I just updated to CC2023 (+mac OS Ventura 13.0) -+ This has happened with two different cards (same Canon EOS R camera). Any help would be appreciated!
LG Veit
In the previous version of Bridge, command-Enter would apply metadata changes. That no longer works in Bridge 2023. I'm tired of clicking the checkmark with my mouse; does anyone know the keyboard shortcut for this?
Occasionally I have had this problem ever since 2023 came out. I'm in the folders, and one or more folders don't click when I need to work on them. Right now, I can't get one of the folders - which is an external hard drive - to open while the next one opens up. In this screenshot, I can't open the hard drive called "Bp Family History 2014-2018" but I can open "Family 2002 - 2018." But then I shut down Bridge and then I opened up again. This time, I opened "Bp Family History 2014-2018" and I could work with it, But I couldn't open up "Family 2002 - 2018!" Is there anybody who knows what is happening? I'm on Windows 11, 32 GB of ram.
I have a folder of photos. there are several sub-folders of photos in that folder. I have a client that is interested in seeing photos of bbq's, steps, and anything that has the colors graphite or victorian. how do I search for any photo in google that has one or more of those 4 keywords?
I'm running the latest software versions on my Mac Studio and trying to generate thumbnails and previews of some large image files in Bridge 2023 (13.0.0.562) I have tried resetting my cache, changing the cache location, and setting the thumbnail generation limit to 50,000Mb with no change in the results of the threshold of thumbnail generation. It's clear in certain folders that Bridge generates thumbnails and previews for image files under 2Gb but doesn't even seem to try over that theshold (nothing indicating they're being processed). Any tips or fixes for this? Is is just a bug in the 2023 version?Thank you.
In my continuing saga to make Bridge 2023 behave like Bridge 2022, I'm trying to revive the file/folder name appearing in the task/title bar. In previous versions of Bridge, the selected file or folder name would appear in the title bar, now it just says "Adobe Bridge 2023". (See attached image.) Is there a way to set this so the file/folder name appears again? (Like it still does in Photoshop.)
