Bridge

I have Bridge and Photoshop CC 2017. Both have been working fine until this morning when I tried to open a Camera Raw image from Bridge and I got the message "Camera Raw editing requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature". I am not sure what has happened to Bridge overnight. I have launched Photoshop and I am still getting the message.Your suggestions as to how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Anna

This has happened for the last few years, at the very least and with the new release available you would think they would have fixed this but NO, they havent.. When using Bridge i intermittently cant click on a file or folder, i have to go to another active app or the desktop then go back to bridge to continue my work. .. am i the only one this happens to???

I am issue with adobe bridge V 12.3.270. All LR, PS are fully licensed till next year. followed the steps as per reopening bridge after lauching PS. still couldnt open camera raw from bridge. Followed Uninstalled Photoshop/Adobe bridge from adobe creative cloud.  Any help will be highly appreciated.

Found a potential bug in Photoshop/Bridge, never encountered this before. I recently developed 6 portrait photos in Camera RAW. I then imported them into Photoshop (23.5.1) and did some retouching and saved them out as .PSD files. When I checked them in Bridge I discovered that four of them had two diagonal lines in the thumbs, always at the same positions, see attached picture. At first I thought maybe it had something to do with my new Canon R6 camera, haven't used it much. But the RAW files have no trace of the lines, they only show up in the .PSD thumbnails inside of Bridge. If I view the .PSD files using XnViewMP there's no trace of the lines either. If I open the files in Phoshop, same thing; no lines. I also get the lines if I use the Bridge Export function to save out the pictures. But if I use the Image Processor; no lines! Initially I suspected it might have to do with the flattened layer created by "Maximize Compatibility". But I assume that Bridge Export doesn't u

I am using Adobe Bridge 12.0.3.270 on Windows 10 Pro and I have a problem with it. I am using it to organize in folders on a USB HD plenty of photos and videos on the Windows PC. What I do: 1. In the "Filter" pane, I select a speficif date, for example 12 Nov 2019.2. Then I select all of the thumbnails, right click, select "Move to", then select the destination folder. If the selection at step 2 contains only photos or only videos, Bridge moves the files to the selected destination folder. If the  selection at step2 contains both photos and videos (at least one video), the Bridge moves only the photos and gives the error in the image below. When this happens, sometimes but not always, if I try and move only the videos right after clicking the button "ok", I get the same error. If I wait some seconds, select the videos and move them to the same folder as before, Bridge moves the files and does not give any error. Is there an option/preference I can modify i

Just installed newest version of Bridge to my wondows computer from creative cloud. It starts, but will not open in full size. Just opens as a small icon on the bar on the bottom. Have tried to open from different locations, restarted the computer, used clean up in files and registry cleaning, but nothing works. Help! I am doing a course in using the Adobe creative cloud and some of the programs and need this to complete my assignments.

Hi, New user to Bridge.  I'm trying to manually rename a billion videos of my kids but periodically get the error listed. "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process." I am almost 99% sure it's because the video is being "previewed", i.e., still running on the Preview pane, while I try to rename the file.  I say that because if the video is stopped, renaming works perfectly.   Please tell me that's not the case!  Why even have a preview window if you can't do anything to the file while it's running?? Help! Thank you,Steve

Hello, I need some help. I use Adobe Bridge to sort images by holding the control key and clicking. For some reason, it is now randomly opening an image in photoshop and unclicks all of my saved pictures and I have to start over again. Any advice would be welcome. Thank you

Good AfternoonMy photographic club use Bridge. We would like to be able to batch edit image names in order to make a random slideshow. The filename format is "123 Sunny Day", i.e membership number space image title. We'd like to be able to have the 123 replaced with a 3 digit sequence number 001, 002 etc. I saw a solution on the net and tried it but it didn't work - I can't seem to find the right formula so any help appreciated please.

Hello, I organize and edit Canon RAW files (Cr.3) with the bridge. Lately it has happened more often that the export (raw->jpg)simply stops after a number (approx. 40) of images and that metadata (Exif, IPTC, ratings) are not exported with some images. Clearing the cache only helps to a limited extent, then it exports again for a while, the problem with the metadata remains. Win 10(current), Ryzen5 3600(6 cores); 8GB Sapphire Radeon RX 570; 2x8GB RAM DDR4 3200 Dual Channel. the system worked for 2 years without any problems, where do I start with troubleshooting? All updates have been made. More RAM?

Hello,when I want to open a RAW file in "Bridge", I get the following error message: Camera Raw processing is not enabled. Camera Raw editing is only possible if an authorized product has been licensed before.When I double click on the RAW file, then open the internal Bridge Camera RAW. Then everything works normally. But I can then only edit one file at a time. And when I want to copy the edit settings, I also get the same error message. I have already uninstalled and installed Photoshop as well as Bridge. When viewing thumbnail gallery I am having continual problem with pop-up file metadata freezing on the screen.  I must close the program to get it to go away.  Even if I open the photo file in PS this metadata pop-up remains as the top thing on the screen.   {Thread renamed by moderator}

Being able to PLACE images that you see in BRIDGE in a Photoshop Image is a great feature.It would be even better if the Thumbnail background color could be changed so that you could see light images like clouds that are on transparent backgrounds.According to our code writer, this isn't a big trick when creating a third-party program.By having the background layer of an image a darker color, he can have the selected image PLACED without the background.Thumbnails in Bridge will display the background color now but do not separate the image from the background during the PLACE process.Perhaps just having the Bridge background a darker color would show images like clouds properly.

I just came across a something weird. For some reason Bridge is not reading the XMP sidecards of RAW files. I can see that the XMP files are in the folder but they are not recognized. I remember having spent several hours editing those photos some months ago in the same computer using Bridge and Camera RAW. However, the folder where there the issue appreas, the preview images do not get updated and opening photos in Camera Raw do not show the edits in the side cards. What it is even weirder, the XMP files seem to have no information about the edits that I did. What went wrong in Bridge? I do not think there is a way to recover the edits though. 

Can adobe please add Pick flag support for Bridge?  They have the "Reject" flag, so why not a "Pick" flag.  The reason I'm requesting this is for those who need to go back and forth between LR Classic and ACR perhaps, and Pick Flags don't seem to be supported in Bridge (the workaround I've found it to use 1-Star ratings as pick flags, but would be nice if Bridge actually supported the pick flag itself).

I keep having this problem where I am trying to do one thing and then Photoshop opens the image.  Like I might change the number of stars, clicking there and it opens. Now I just highlight a folder of images clicking once on the first and then shift clicking on the last to update metadata for all in the folder, and then had to wait while it opened them all.  This is constantly interfering with my workflow. 

Hi,   I wanted to be able to geotag images and show their location on a map view using Bridge, so I have been working on an extension to do that. Basic functionality seems to work so far so I published it on my github: bridge-map-view   It is based on Google Maps so you need to create an API key. It is a little convoluted process but Google has pretty conclusive documentation about it. The extension is also not signed/packaged, since I don't really understand how to, so you need to just download the source files and enable debug mode in Bridge to use it. More instruction in the README.   Let me know if you find it useful or if it is not working, I will gladly help.  

I updated to the latest versions of bridge and photoshop and now my tools photoshop merge to hdr pro is missing. If I use an old version of bridge is has the option but tells me I need to update photoshop. Which I have already done. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. 

Hi, since today morning I can not open any file in Camera Raw with Bridge (CR3, CR2, jpg).Deinstalled Bridge, reinstalled, no success, deinstalled together with Photoshop, removed every Camera Raw folder I found, no success.When clicking in Bridge in Camera Raw settings, same problem, Bridge freezes.Deinstalled the newest file for an older Version ( 11.1.4.213), same problem with freezing.In Photoshop I can open every raw file.Working on Mac OS 12.0.1Thanks for any help!

When I click Get Photos From Camera in Bridge, nothing happens. There is no error and no Photo Downloader dialog window. I use this all the time to import photos from my SIM cards.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and installing an older version and re-upping back to the newest version. No change at all in functionality.  Any ideas?
