I recently finally upgrade to Adobe Creative Suite from Photoshop CS4 (I know- I held out! haha). It used to be that when I rearranged photos in Lightroom, I could make them appear in that order in Adobe Bridge (for renaming stage of workflow) by setting photo order to "Date Modified." That doesn't work now that I've switched to Creative Suite and I'm wondering if anyone knows how to make this happen in a different way? I'm often working with 500-800 photos so to go reorder them again after suuuuucks. I usually changed the order of certrain shots as I edit the photos so it definitely works best for me to do that in Lightroom. Thanks for your help!
I've written a few ExtendScript scripts to perform applying camera raw presets to multiple files. These scripts are called by a python app.Last week everything was working perfectly. Then my hard drive crashed. Now I've got up and running again the scripts no not run when called by python. Instead they open in the toolkit editor. How can I make them execute with a line like:C:\myscript.jsx.I know I can do something like "C:\path_to_bridge\bridge.exe" -r "C:\path_to_my_script\myscript.jsx" but this doesn't solve my problem. Thanks
I open up bridge to go through my images and cut down ones I don't like but as soon as I open it up, the colours are really nice on the images and then within a few seconds, one by one, the colours and brightness seems to change and the images aren't so nice. This means I'm having to edit my photos much more than I should as the first colours and brightness are perfect. Could anyone please let me know what's going on?
There are a number of us on a server and with the latest upgrade to Photoshop/Bridge, our color settings will not stay synchronized. We are having to go in practically every day to re-apply the correct setting. This is a new issue, one we haven't experienced before. Any ideas? Heading out so will not see the responses until the morning. Thanks all in advance.
I am trying to use the "Show Linked Files" feature in Bridge. There are two files I am trying to work with. 1 shows the links icon and gives me the option to "Show Linked Files". The other, has no icon, and no option to "Show Linked Files." I know there are links in the file..HELP!
Sorry if this is the wrong forum! I understand collections can be synced between Lightroom Classic and CC, yet unsure between Classic & Bridge. Do keywords made in Bridge, show up in Lightroom Classic or CC? Can't seem to see where keywords can be seen in CC too. What ai mainly want is the ability to share keywords and collectins between Lightroom Classic & Bridge 🙂
I love Adobe Bridge 2022 workflow! But, ... Why can't you convert to .PSD? I can do PNG, JPG, etc., but not PSD! The aging Image Processor could make .PSD! Why can't the Workflow workspace in Bridge 2022?
I often want to check files I have edited in recent hours and saved to different subfolders of a directory. Of course one can filter for today the Filter-Panel and show items of subfolders – but I preferred a persistant solution, which checks the desired subtree. Is there something smart to dial into the date modified fields that gets me there or can one script smart collections?
Whenever I try to use the Batch Rename in Bridge nothing happens... it was working before I updated to the latest version; however, version 12.0.2.252 does will not rename a batch of files for me.I have tried starting Bridge using Ctrl+Alt+Shift I have also tried compacting & purging all cache files I even unistalled, rebooted and reinstalled Bridge.. I would welcome any suggestions or alternative software recommendations.
Sto facedo qualche errore?
Hello. I have been using Adobe Bridge for two years now. It is a very helpful tool when in comes to working with a big batch of photos. Recently my "Batch Rename" function has stopped working the way it used to. Instead of marking my photos with a proper sequence number such as "IMG_001, IMG_002, IMG_003,etc." it renames them as "IMG_00 (1), IMG_00 (2), IMG_00 (3)." This has never happened before and I can't seem to figure out why it is doing this.. NOTE: I am running the software in Windows 10.
Im not interested in renaming files when done, however I do move/export the photos to a new folder within the same folder or the parent. This is currently done by hand with 'Move to' yet wondering if this can be done via the 'Workflow' System?
I was editing 484 photos, and during export, Bridge closed! only 168 photos were exported to JPG, all others are not & all the settings of editing are gone as well....
I don't know if this belongs in Bridge, ACR, or Photoshop, but I'll put it here anyway. I already know how to workaround this issue, but I'm posting it here because I'm really amazed at just how many ways Adobe Software can find to surprise us all.My workflow involves using RAW files and I create recipes for files in ACR from Bridge. When that is done, I run Tools>Photoshop>Batch Edit from within Bridge. That happily runs away until all the images I had selected have been processed into JPEG files. In the past going back to I think CS2016, I have on occasion been horrified to find that a whole batch of up to 3,000 RAW files have been processed through this method, but applying the same crop to every image regardless of whether any crop had been applied in the ACR recipe. Well, I learned to reboot before running batches and that fixed the problem. Should I have to do that? I don't believe I should.Anyway, I have just seen a new problem.&nb
Changing timing of photos is not working in adobe bridge. It notes the correction of the time but not in the field where is it important for ordering photos by date.
I have scanned boxes and boxes of paperwork and saved each as an individual jpeg. I originally scanned some as multipage PDF and that was a bust so switched to individual jpeg. How can the blank pages be batch selected in Bridge CS5 or CS6 (or even in Windows 10 File Explorer) and deleted all at once?
I would like to copy Batch Rename Presets from Bridge on one computer to Bridge on my Laptop. How do I do this? I have Bridge 10.0.1.126 and the OS is Windows 10 Pro 64bit.
I use Bridge 12.0.2.252 on a 2019 16-in MacBook Pro running the latest MacOS Monterey to check focus on hundreds of portraits after a session. I let it build 100% previews, but it will randomly just lose all generated previews (256, 1024, and full). It happens while the app is open, sometimes while I'm scrolling through a session, sometimes if I've left the laptop to sleep. I've tried changing the cache folder to a different location, I've given the cache 275GB of space to use (I clear the cache after each session so it only needs to store previews for ~2500 photos at a time), I have it set to "Keep 100% Previews in Cache", not compact on exit, and not purge automatically. I've experimented with each of those settings and it still randomly deletes all previews and I have to wait for them to rebuild. Any suggestions?
Hi - I'm on Holiday and forgot to change the time zone on my camera. Is there a way to shift the timestamps on all photos by +/- a fixed number of house? I looked in Bridge but I only see the ability to do one at a time, I used a 3rd party software, ExifEditor and it shows the changes on there, but the changes don't reflect in Bridge. The reason I ask is I like to batch-rename my photos using Bridge to "Sequence Number, Date, Time" so I need Bridge to recognize the correct time.
The following script will not run in when wrapped in a menu item. But the main function runs fine on its own... Any idea whats going on. #target bridge var menu = MenuElement.create( "command", "Anon_forSending", "at the end of Tools"); menu.onSelect = function(m) { main() } function main(){ var selectedThumbnails = app.documents[0].getSelection(); var modified = 0; for (var i = 0; i < selectedThumbnails.length; ++i) { var val = decodeURI(selectedThumbnails[i].name); var f = new File (decodeURI(selectedThumbnails[i].path)) if (stripFileExtension) val = val.replace(/\.[^\.]+$/, ''); p = (val.match(/_0/).index)+1 val =val.substr(p,4) newName = val + '.psd' var f1 = new File (f.parent + "/" + newName) if (f1.exists == true){newName = val + '_1' + '.psd'} var metadata = selectedThumbnails[i].synchronousMetadata;
Since a few weeks my Bridge is super slow when I'm trying to sort out the photo's I've taken. Normally I delete like 200 photo's in preview mode and after exiting the preview it took like 5 seconds to have all the photos deleted. Now it takes up to 10 seconds per photo to be deleted, which is very annoying and it makes it unusable. I've seen some of the other posts of people having the same kind of problem and tried to clear up space (I deleted about 100GB on cache files), reinstall both Bridge, PS and Camera RAW, tried to use older versions, I've also tried to restart and update my computer and also did a reset on Bridge and PS but literally nothing seems to work... I really hope someone can help me with this problemHere are some specifications; Macbook Pro '15 2018. macOS Monterey 12.4 | 2,6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 | 16 GB 2400 MHz DDR4. 500GB flash memory, using a Lacie Rugged 2TB hard drive when working with Bridge. The older versions of Bridge was 11.0, newest is 1
The "New Folder" icon at the top right hand section of bridge has suddenly showed up as a faint outline and is no longer clickable. Ctl + Shft + N doesn't work either and when I go to File on the navigation bar the "New Folder" link is greyed out.How can I restore the New Folder functionality?
