The problem has gotten worse and worse: Instead of a preview on Bridge 2019 CC on Mac High Sierra I get a TIFF symbol or a blurry preview. It even happens that should I get a preview, Bridge loses it suddenly and replaces it with a TIFF symbol. I just completed 4 images. None of them got a preview. The settings tell Bridge to process images up to 15GB. So the settings are not at fault, it's the software.I regularly got this problem with larger files (1GB+). Another problem is that Bridge does not display the preview correctly. The files are in ProPhoto RGB, but Bridge decides to downgrade it to sRGB. How do I get to:1. Get previews of larger files at all2. Get previews in the correct color space the file is in and not in sRGB I am using Adobe software professionally and it causes big troubles when such basic things like previews do not work.
Hello, I am trying to figure out the best storage and backup solution to keep my photos safe and off my computer harddrive. I currently have a time machine and am curious how others are backing up thier photos and keeping thier computers free of RAW files. I would ideally like to store/ backup my photos on an external harddrive and also to a cloud service. Looking forward to hearing your set ups!
Hi Guys, do you know why when i zoom on a picture in Adobe Bridge gets dark like a Bullet point.it didnt use tu happen before, but know everytime i´m doing mi selection of photos.y see that thing going on.

Hi allI ammigrating from Picasa to Bridge, and attempting to recover the many many many hours of work I spent on facetagging approx 100,000 photos. The Picasa facetags were written to xmp from within Picasa, facetag info is saved with the picture. Under "Properties" Bridge shows loads of metadata for a picture, under different headers IPCT, Video, Audio, .... The last header is "other" or "unprocessed" (I use a Dutch version so am guessing tab label in English), and some more metadata is shown here as code. In there I found the Picasa facetags labeled as mwg-rs or info on Region. So the facetags are in the metadata, but just not in a manner or place that I can use them as Keyword or Tag or Face in Bridge (or Lightroom for that matter). Does anybody have a solution for this? ThanksPhilip38
When I scroll with my apple mouse in Bridge CC 2019 on my iMack, it goes the opposite way from all my other apps, and from the way it was on my previous version. I cannot find a a place to change the direction of the mouse, nor can I find an answer to this by Googling or looking on the Adobe site. On everything else, when I draw my finger from top to bottom on the mouse, the screen moves up. On Bridge, it moves down. Not only is it uncomfortable to do this, but confusing. I hope someone can help me change the setting. TIA --Sharron
Anyone have this problem? Bridge won't recognize PSD files on my external drives. Have had both Adobe and Apple techs try to figure it out and no one can. Any suggestions? They recommend I ask you all.
Bridge has fast become my least favorite app!Last week, I would download a folder of timelapse files from a gopro hero5, open them all in camera raw, apply adjustments and save to a new folder. Easy peasy, right? This week, I can't drag and drop a folder onto the bridge icon.I can't double click to open the jpg in CR.command R gives me the following error message: "The Camera Raw settings could not be applied because there were no Camera Raw files selected or the selected files were read-only."I can go back to an older download folder and open any of those files (which had been opened before in CR). This is only happening on this latest downloaded batch. It's the same camera shooting with the same settings. The files will open in Photoshop into CR no problem. So, it's not a read only issue.I have reset bridge preferences, uninstalled and reinstalled bridge twice. If I had only one or two jpgs, I would just use that workaround and do it in photoshop. But, I have a couple of thousand to edit
es anyone know how to get this back?
Hi guys My photo loader will not recognise my trancend cf fast card reader . clic on files scroll downd to get photos from , and ir says no device found
Hope you can help. I keep my Adobe Bridge Cache and image files on an external drive.I've just had a new computer and can't search for images on the external drive.. How do I point to the cache on the external drive please?
I'm using the latest version of Adobe Bridge CC 2018 / Photo Downloader with the Create Subfolders option to download and sort images from an iPhone 6+. Unfortunately, it appears that Bridge references the image files' modification dates rather than creation dates to determine the "shot date." No thanks to Apple, image modification dates are unreliable - they change intermittently and without warning - so my downloaded photos are totally disorganized. Is there a fix for this? Similar issues have been discussed before, but I haven't seen a solution. On a side note, are there any utilities that can undo the damage created by this issue? I need to re-verify that my images are in proper subfolders, in accordance with the File Created metadata. I don't know how long this has been going on - maybe years. I've been using Bridge since CS2 and just noticed the trouble in CS6 recently. Upgraded to CC - same thing. What a mess.Any assistance is apprec
Thank you so much in advance for ANY help you can provide me!! I've switched from Lightroom Classic to Bridge for organizing my digital assets, (and certain groups of photos), due to the limited file types that LRC can work with. I've spent many hours trying to learn, and organize, within Bridge, but my biggest problem has been using keywords. Over many years, while working in LR Classic, I’ve creating a keyword list, of maybe 1000 words or so, that is broken down into manageable categories and sub-categories. I've imported that keyword list from LRC into Bridge. How can I search for files by choosing keywords from my categories, and sub-categories? Using “Find” doesn’t help since I don't necessarily know all the keywords I want to use until I open up select categories and see them. Instead I have only found the "Filter Panel” which produces one, long, alphabetical list of keywords that are NOT sorted into their categories/sub-categories. Al
I work a lot with keywords in my workflow. I would like to be able to input existing keywords without having to select them with the mouse, but rather move to the keyword panel and select them using the keyboard, then moving on to the next image and doing the same. I wouldn't mind also being able to shift focus to the keyword field in the metadata panel and type in the keywords. Is any of this possible? Is there an add-on script or plug-in for it?
I am using Bridge CC 2019. The filters doen't show up. I saw in another post this same issue from two years ago and no one ever answered. How can I fix this? Bridge is basically useless to me without filters.
Is there a way to use Boolean search in Bridge to narrow the search field using multiple keywords? I've searched dozens of forums and it doesn't appear like that feature is avaialble.
I'm looking at various photo organizing apps, and want to make sure that my large collection of photos, heavily keyworded (in metadata) can be converted to Bridge keywords. Or does it matter? I want to be able to do quick searches based on the keywords, and edit them easily.
I have created an indesign file with images strewn about a server, and without packaging the document, and keeping the files in their original locations, I was hoping to see the files, access them from a single view/place. This is where I thought Bridge could come in handy. Cut to, I have exported a list of the images and their filepaths to a txt/csv file. The question now is, how would I create a Bridge "Collection" from this same list? If such a thing were doable, it would be exactly what I am after. If there's a better way to do what I want. I would take that too. I had previously thought there might be a reverse-link lookup tool in Bridge, where I could specify an indesign file and ID all its links, or ID links that are placed in any indesi
I have iMac whit Catalina and Br 2020, in preview the files are double or triple images. Some times push F5 for up date, and working. But some times no. Help me please.
I am using Windows 10 64 bit on a PC. I pay the monthly subscription to Adobe so I have all of the latest updates. I have bought a Canon 1DX Mark111 and just received the Promotional SanDisk CFexpress Card Reader. It comes with a cable, type C to C but I do not have a C port on my PC. I bought a Hama cable C to USB 3.1 and I used this to connect the Reader to the PC. I selected 'Download using Bridge CC' and the Adobe Downloader opened. This showed rectangular thumbnails for each of my photos, together with their respective file names, but you could not see the actual images. Each rectangle just showed a pattern of a painted flower. I clicked 'Get Media' and the download was successful, in that the images did reach the PC but Bridge did not open automatically. I had to go in manually. In Bridge Preferences, File Type Association, the cr3 files are referred to and Photoshop 21.1 is shown as the associated program. Does anyone k
I am unable to see the option to make a web gallery in Bridge CC 2020.I see the PDF/Contac sheet option, but not the web gallery function. This went from Photoshop to Bridge some time ago; is it no longer a Bridge feature? Thanks.
there is no such .mp4 file extension in the preferences under file extensions, there is .m4a, but when i select wmplayer, it makes no difference. So does anyone know if i can set file preference for .mp4? (what is the term they have used?)
After the update the mouse pointer is a black fleck on a dark grey background when using default settings. That's not optimal in anything but the brightest theme. Please do not override system defaults for purely stylistic reasons, that's bad UX and as demonstrated won't end well. (Windows 10)
Hi all, I have some pictures where the date of picture is missing in the metadata (EXIF). However, when I look at the file properties in Windows, I see a "Date Acquired" field which is correctly populated with the date the picture was taken. Also Adobe Bridge does see it as when I go into the RawData, I see it :<MicrosoftPhoto:DateAcquired>2013-01-04T13:53:05.857</MicrosoftPhoto:DateAcquired>I would like that date to be added to the EXIF when missing ...can this be done by BRIDGE? I would like to avoid having to do that manually.thanksB
The Photoshop UI palette uses BridgeTalk to allow interaction with the palette buttons. The. idea was to use functions and a switch statement to add functionality to the UI buttons. It turns out, BridgeTalk uses a different type of function and does not work with a switch statement. A workaround was suggested which includes wrapping the functions in the bt.body and copying the bt.body to an external file where they can be treated with regular photoshop functions. Every time the script runs the by.body is copied to an external file overwriting the previous version.Can somebody check the script and suggest how to proceed. I have been stuck for a few days and unable to find a similar UI pallet script to reference. #target photoshopvar bt = new BridgeTalk(),ph = BridgeTalk.getSpecifier('photoshop'),buildWindow = function () { var z = Window.find('palette', 'Toggle visiblity');if (z) {z.show();return;}var dialog = new Window("palette");dialog.text = "Toggle visiblity";
