Bridge

It's my understanding that when you try to place a file into a folder, and that file shares the same name as an existing file, the Auto Resolve option which pops up should automatically change the name so the file can be added. However this randomly stopped working for me. When I click Auto Resolve nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong or am I misunderstanding what auto resolve does? Please let me know. Bridge 2020 is in the dock AND on desktop. Why? Just want it in the dock. Tried trashing the desktop one and that trashed the dock one too.

I am not sure if what I describe is a bug or something else.I created a Custom Export template in which I unchecked the "Include Original Metadata" box. Images are exported in JPEG format.When I use this template, some images have all metadata stripped as I would expect but some do not , their Camera Data (Exif) is not stripped while other metadata is. I tried also to exclude the metadata from the same file, but  sometimes it gets deleted and sometimes no.I have tested this starting with a variety of image formats, JPEG, TIFF, DNG. I am unable to discern any pattern which identifies problematic images.

Hello everyone, I have a serious problem with color synchronization. It happened overnight, without touching anything. I apply "Europe 3 prepress", but after a few minutes it disconnects. Illustrator and InDesign also don't keep the setting in sync

Yesterday I moved some folders of RAW files from an SD card to Dropbox. The latter runs in a sync setup – all files are also stored on the local Windows 10 machine.  All fine, so far – until I tried renaming these files in Bridge. "Rename" for single files wasn't even shown in the context menu and F2 did nothing. The batch-rename dialogue opened, but it didn't allow for interaction. When I revealed the same files in Windows Explorer I could rename them without problems. I could resolve the issue with a ridiculous action – and I have no idea what happened in the background: I moved the RAW files from Dropbox to a purely local folder and back to their original storage location. After this operation files were ready to get renamed and also batch renaming worked.Does anyone know this and has an idea how to avoid moving large files back and forth?

I've noticed that Photo Downloader opens Bridge after downloading from an SD card but does not open Bridge after downloading from a CFExpress Type B card. Metadata is only applied to jpg files and not CR3 files. Is there a fix for these issues?

Bridge just recently started not allowing me to view my desktop files, and when I attempt to open anything else it just says 'operation unavailabe' until I am forced to close it because the pop-up notification doesnt allow me to use anything else.

I have installed Bridge 2021 and cannot get the proggram to open. I have spent 4 hours online with Adobe but as of yet i cannot open Bridge. Anybody else had the same issues with Bridge 2021.

Every day when I start the Bridge, I see that it lost all the settings. Every day it resets the Favorites and every two days Metadata panel settings. This is what I need every time in my work. Probably, it flushes something in Properties too, like Cache settings, but I gave up on checking.I saved a registry branch of the Bridge (Windows 10, 64) and overwrite it every time. Of course, it works. But I would prefer that the Bridge does not lose settings first.

Hi. I have a ton of video assets that I want to use bridge to catalog. These are like Matte transitions and stuff like that, so basically the first and/or last frames will be black or white. I want to try to move ALL of the poster frames for a folder to a few frames ahead so i can see the shape of the transition or matte shapes.  

Hi all, rather frustrated. All my thumbnails and previews are yellowish, when the actual image is perfectly balanced. Images shot on seamless white background. Color dropper sees my whites as 255, 255, 255, yet Adobe Bridge 2019 and Photoshop CC 2019 render as yellow! .CR2 and .JPG both look great in ACR once image is opened.   Here's the kicker- before Bridge renders an image and builds its preview in the cache, white balance is beautiful. Then the mice spin the processor wheel, the 'better' version kicks in, and boom... yellow teeth. Yuck.   Just ordered the entire Adobe Suite yesterday, downloaded Bridge 2019, Photoshop, etc. This is not an issue of old software or an update I haven't gotten. It's a default issue!   Adobe, please help!! I am not the only user out there with this question. Many forums have this issue listed, yet there are no direct answers that I've found.

In the image below, you can clearly see the problem. The thumbnail in Bridge (highlighted in the background window) has a really warm yellow white balance but in Camera Raw it shows the actual photo with more accurate colours.Is there a colour setting in Bridge I need to edit to make it generate colour accurate thumbnails to match Camera Raw?It's extremely frustrating to browse images currently :S

I think, but am not sure, this happens if I point and click just the wrong area: My ratings area turns blue. Left is when it's selected; right when not.  I don't see anything peculiar in the metadata. It's not a big deal as I don't use ratings at all, but still: How do I get rid of it? 

I am new to Bridge. I downloaded it today and open a raw file from my camera sd card. I played with the photo in camera raw and then closed it. Once I did that, I can no longer see any pictures on my sd card. They appear to be all gone. I tried putting the sd card back in my camera and there are still not any pictures there. HELP! How do I get my pictures back? This is all that is showing on my card now.en I try to access the card from Bridge it just show a pad lock   

RE: Metadata Panel Corruption Is anybody experiencing anything like this or similar?I am unsure when this started as I have only just noticed the issue. Repeated and incorrect field names            e.g. Dimension appears 3 times, Creator 6 times, Sharpness 4 times + othersLetters missing from the ends of some field names          e.g Descriptio (n), Temperat (ure), White (Balance)This is displayed the same for all images of all types, not just some. Would a preferences reset help?

When I try to assign a Rating or Label to a jpg on a network server it takes 30 seconds to update. I'm running 11.0.1.109 on a Win 10 machine. Any way to speed this up? I've tried clearing my cache? I've got my cache size to 50GB and "Keep 100% Previews in Cache" is checked

Since a few days ago, I'm unable to create new file names or change existing file names. When I click on New File, I get  "Untitled folder" and can't modify the name. Is there some glaringly obvious command that I'm not aware of?

Using Bridge 2021 on macbook pro 2020 with i7 processor. on using bridge battry lasts only 80 to 90 minutes from 100% to nearly 0%. Bridge very frequetly crashesh when i start browsing the images. is there any solution?

Everytime i switch applications bridge closes the side panels. I'm reverting to using windows explorer because it is so annoying. Things I have already tried: -Reinstalling (once deleting all the application settings)-Updating- Saving new workspaces- Deleting workspaces.- Resetting to defaults Bridge used to work fine and then one day decided to do this. 

If I assign keywords to an image in Bridge, is there a way to automatically add those to the File Info/Keywords or Description? Conversely, is there any way for Bridge to see words that have been added to File Info/Keywords or Description, and add those keywords to it's search?

After updating to Camera Raw version 11.2.0.135 rating or labelling images on network attached storage does not work in Bridge CC 2019 or older versions of Bridge such as Bridge CC 2017. But only for .jpg .tif and RAW files.If however you open up an image inside CR and give it a star rating by using the interface in the left filmstrip the rating does indeed work. However no keyboard shortcuts works anymore.So far I have been able to verify this bug on 3 different machines running MacOS 10.14.3 and 10.13.6
