Bridge

Hey, is it just me or...I was trying to move photos named 1.jpg 2.jpg and 3.jpg from folder A to folder B which also has the files using just the same name but complete different photos(1/2/3.jpg), and I realized instead of poping a window to let me choose whether to replace the flie or rename the files or skip moving them, Bridge would just replace all the files in folder B using the files in folder A. Is there anyway to make a change or am I using it wrongly? Thanks

Hello,in our Studio we switched Systems (to iMacs) and with it to the newest Adobe Suite of Bridge and Photoshop from CS6.Now i ran into some very annoying workflow issues. 1. When copying a Pictures from one Folder into another in Bridge, i create a new Folder inside with an articelnumber for those Images. The arcticelnumber in my clipboard gets overridden with the path/address of the images i just wanted to copy. The articelnumber are quiet long and are used often so I want to keep them in my clipboard for quick copy-and-paste. 2. when i want to export RAWs from Bridge to JPGs via Camera RAW 13.1 and maybe do some adjustments, I select all Images with CMD+A and save them with CMD+S into an specific articel folder (should also be in the clipboard), but when wanting to create a new folder I cant paste the number in the dialogwindow that pops up, so i have to manuelly write it again, which is timeconsuming. 3. also when i´m finished with creating a folder i used to just p

Everytime I try to assign a keyword to an image in Bridge I get the error message "The file Photos Library.photoslibrary" cannot store XMP metadata.  No changes will occur" in popup.  What am I doing wrong and is there a problem with where my photo library is located.  It downloads automatically via Wi-Fi from my iPhone.  Please help I need to use this for an urgent project.

I am looking to add custom keywords to a specific set of files. These filenames have been populated in an excel file, and are all listed in seperate rows. Is there a way to create a list using this excel file, and search for these filenames across either individual or mulitple levels of folders? Adding those found files to a Bridge Collection after the search isn't necessary, but a bonus as it can be done manually post search. Any and all help would be much appreciated. I haven't found this ability in any of the available plugins as of Today (February 25, 2021).

Hi Community,is it possible to have a preview from the content of zip files.E.g. I have a zip file with 24 images inside. I need to see the conent of the zip file in a preview. For example the first images witch is inside the zip file.Thank youMartin 

The star ratings below the tumbnails in the content pane have disapeared. If I select an image, I can see the stars for that image only. Once I click off of that image, the stars disapear. I currently have "View content as thumbnails" selected, which I believe is what I had selected last time when this was working. But, I have tried all four options, and none of them cause the starts to show up again.I have also tried increasing the magnification of the thumbnails, since I seem to recal before that the stars disapeared if the thumbnail size was set below a certain (undisclosed) threshold. But even after increasing the slider to the max size, the stars are still hidden. This has happened several times within the last few weeks. I know I eventually figured out how to get them to show up again, but I can't remember how. Why does this keep reseting? How can I get this setting to stick, so that they don't keep disapearing when I reopen Bridge?

So, there is a bug in Bridge that hasn't been fixed for years now.  Adobe has acknowledged this bug over the phone, and email, as well as one or two times in the bug Forum.However, the Bug still persists, and it has been a few years now with each iteration no improvement or acknowledgment of the bug. no escalation of the issue in the bug forum... Nothing. just silence from Adobe. So my question is,How does one get Adobe's attention?And can we ask that moderators for the forum either respond or make some time of notification that someone has in fact read the post?  

In System preferences - Security and Privacy the Full Disc Access is allowed.In spite of this the External Lacie disc does not appear in Bridge 2021.What is the solution?Thnks for your answer

Good afternoon,Long time user of Bridge as a visual file browser and pdf creator but recentlybthe programme has become unstable, crashes and constantly redraws the thumbnails for no apparent reason. Bridge will crash as I edit in PhotoShop or working on pretty much anything else . . .On MacOS Big Sur but was unstable before the Big Sur installation. Latest editions of Bridge and PhotoShop.Anyone else with these issues or a solution. Paul.

Does anyone else experience adobe bridge constantly crashing?It has been uninstalled, reinstalled and is up to date.I'm on an iMAC running OS Catalina 10.15.7

Seems like the new versions of either Bridge or ACR include "crop" when you use Apply Previous Settings in Bridge. Is there a way to stop this so it works like the old version where all the other settings get applied but Crop doesn't? It was so much better before where normal settings like exposure, highlights, blacks, etc got applied to the next image but crop makes no sense.  Oftentimes lighting doesn't change during shoots but cropping does so I don't want the crop to be applied by default.  That's what copying and pasting specific Develop Settings was for really.

When I try to open a .psdt file from Bridge 2020, it doesn't work. First, a double-click on the icon (no thumbnail shows for .psdt files) does nothing. If I right-click and then click either 'Open' or 'Open with' I get an error message saying that Windows cannot find the path to Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 - which is not surprising as it is not installed. I use Photoshop 2020 and all other other appropriate files start correctly from Bridge. Clearly the file association is incorrectly set so I go into Preferences but the file list does not include .psdt so I can't correct it. Hi guys, Recently shot with FUJI GFX 100S with the usual option of lossless compression in 14bit (worked before withe the GFX 100 and the .RAF files cannot be read/ previewed in bridge let alone opened in photoshop through Camera Raw (yes everything is up to date) Any thoughts or successfull work arounds would be greatly appreciated!

When I prepare to load a lot of images to a web gallery, I sort manually how I want them.  If there are lots of images, sometimes more than 100, this takes very long times and then is all lost if anything is done later on.  I have seen a post about renumbering in the order you want.  All my images have unique numbers already correlated with a database and that is not an option.I remember years ago, in an earlier version of Bridge, I posted and was told I could rename the Bridge sort file and have different sorts. I had done it. Is this another useful ability, that was dropped at some point?

No matter what I do I cannout open camera raw in bridge, it always goes straight to photoshop. I perfer editing photos in camera raw, like I have done in the past. I looked around and all the forums say to fix this have a legal copy of Photoshop open and it should let you open camera raw in bridge. I have done that and the camera raw icon is still grayed out, and it will give me the option to open camera raw anywhere, just photoshop. The creative cloud says I have raw downloaded and up to date. 

When I try and open CameraRaw from Adobe Bridge 2021 I get the following error:  Why is this happening? I have ACR and Bridge installed and it's up to date.

When I attempt to launch Bridge it says, "The operation could not be completed." My OS is Big Sur 11.1, and Bridge was working fine (even after the update to Big Sur) until a few days ago. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Bridge several times, even installed version 10 to no avail (same alert/error). This is really frustrating, Adobe!

Hi,We are using Adobe Bridge 11.0.1.109 and when we have finished the adjustments and closed file using Photoshop 22.2.0, the photoshop interface stays open obscuring Bridge. What do I need to tick, untick or whatever so that the photoshop interface closes when working in Bridge?

I'm trying to create a shared Bridge cache for a given folder, but everytime I try I get the following error:An error occurred during shared cache export. Would you like to retry?There is no error code or any other information given, I have no clue what I'm doing incorrectly - can anyone give me a pointer on where to start?

Why do some images in Bridge appear as small icons while others are jpg images?

Hi folks,I'm using Bridge 2020, but I believe my question relates to any version. When I open bridge and select a collection to view Bridge tells me that there are X no. of missing files, and asks if would I like to find them. The apparently broken path to the file is shown in this find popup, but I can only see a small portion of the path, so I can't determine which image to look for. Is there a way to see what the missing file is? Scrolling through the path isn't possible, and clicking on browse doesn't take me to the (former) location of the missing file. So I'm unable to search for the mysterious image. Is there a solution to this problem?Thanks!

I'm trying to import some camera raw files into bridge and I keep getting this error message (see below). I already tried updating both bridge and photo downloader and that didn't seem to fix it. It was working fine yesterday, and I didn't change anything. Any suggestions?  

I have had no issues using the Bridge Photo Downloader until recently. I am not sure what changed but now when tick the "convert to DNG" box, my images copy but do not convert. If I open DNG converter I am able to convert the copied files with no error, but this seems an unnecessary second step in my workflow. I have searched the forums but have not found anything to help.All apps are updated. My Windows photo folders are located on an external drive (USB 3.0) with Full Control permissions set. I am running Windows 7 Pro.{Thread renamed by moderator}

I can drag and drop OUT of bridge, but I can't drop images into bridge, why is that?
