Bridge

On certain JPG images I get an window that pops up and says "There was an error writing metadata to "IMG_0233.JPG". Never had a problem before and now this is more frequent. I have the images on a flashdrive that I plug into my laptop (Dell). I have a keywords list that I use to tag each image. This is super annoying and inconveinient and appears to have been a problem in the past!Please help!  

Hi, I just updated my Bridge on a new computer and now when I view my RAW files from my memory card on the filmstrip view I see a RAW and JPG version of the same file. I shoot RAW only, so I am assuming this is just something that Bridge is doing? Is there a way or a setting for me to just see the RAW files? I used to have it this way on an older version of Bridge but since this update its not the same and I cant remember if it was a setting I had done. In conclusion, I just want to see the RAW files as having a jpg dublicate is confusing. Thanks!

Hi.  I have the latest version of Bridge, Illustrator, etc.  In older versions, when. right-clicking on an image, it gives you the option of placing that image in an Adobe programme.  It used to just show Indesign and Photoshop - which is all I wanted.  Now, it gives me the option of all my installed Adobe programmes.  can I restrict which programmes is available to place images in? Many thanks. Ian

I'm trying to get Bridge 2021 to display the thumnbails of video files, (mp4 and mov) but it just doesnt work. I tried the various tips online such as purging cache, increasing thumbnail max size, embedded vs high quality, right-clicking on a video file and selecting purge cahce for selection,... nothing works. Another weird thing is that is I right-click on a video file and select Open, nothing happens. But if I select Open With... and select Quicktime Player 10.5 (which is the one I have), it does open. What is (not) happening? Thank you!!!!

Bridge Error Message: The operation could not be completed.  An unknown operating system error has occurred.

After a batch rename, Bridge generates earlier generated previews all over again.As if cache is ignored.Earlier versions didn't do this.  (Bridge v 11.01, MacOS Catalina 10.15.7)  Really slows down the workflow, unfortunately.did a complete reinstall, prefs reseet etc. Is this a policy change? I read in earlier posts that PSE Organizer is used to do facial recognition. Then Bridge is used the manage the files. I would like to do this as well. I tagged" several photos in Organizer, but those Keywords are not showing in Bridge. I know it is a learning curve issue for me. How do I tag in Organizer and when I open Bridge, those tags show?Thanks

I am editing a batch of about 1000 photos in Camera Raw. There are certain settings like contrast or clarity that will be the same for all of them. But with the Exposure, I would like to have it decrease incrementally from the first picture (set to +1.25) to the last picture (set to -2.00).So for certain settings that will be the same on all images I have done a simple "select all" and "synchronize." But I am wondering if there is a script that will have Camera Raw (or any other Adobe program) automatically split the difference between an exposure of +1.25 to -2.00 and apply incremental values to the images? Any thoughts?

I have just installed PS 2019.  No Bridge.  I've seen multiple answers that Bridge is free, not just to down load but really free.  Yet when I click on download nothing happens.  No error message.  Nothing.  Is the Adobe site having problems?  What's going on?  

Hello!So I’m running Adobe Bridge 2020An I’ve got a large photolibrary used as an asset repository for work, probably quite similar to others that use bridge, this goes to my office computer, from my home computer in the form of shared folder caches.So far so good.Every month or so ill add new images to it, these will range usually between 500mb to about 6GB, in an ideal world I would export a cache from my home computer where i'd process the images and import it at work.Only problem is, the new cache's image index is not accessible if I’m in my root folder for my entire image library.‘Work computer bridge’ doesn't add the newly imported cache to a centralised search index, instead it treats it completely as its own entity, most likely only reading the search index when you are in the 'new' root directory of the newly imported photos.This is a bummer because the whole point of searching is to instantly locate files with the correct keywords whos exact location might allude you.“ok -so

Using Zoom as host for meetings of 40 people (who have mikes and webcams turned off) I need to show photographs full screen using Adobe Bridge. I use the screen share and have turned other programmes off on my PC. Adobe Bridge freezes when showing photos full screen. I can only get it to work if I stop sharing, then re-share. Normally Bridge works perfectly.My PC is an i7, Windows 10, 32GB RAM. It is connected by ethernet to my router and fibre-optic broadband. Speedtest measures my internet speeds as 36Mbps uo, 520 Mbps down. The photos are 2.2 megapixels max and the problem occurs whether I am showing them from a SSD or a HDD.Windows, Bridge and Zoom are all up-to-date.

So, I have a drive with about 1TB of photos on it. Every photo is in it's own folder and the folder is labelled by event (Think a folder for X&X's Wedding, M's Birthday, X&Y's Wedding, etc.). I'm working on keywording them which at 1TB of stuff, is tedious. However, if I could search by FOLDER and find anything with the word Wedding, I could batch keyword all the stuff for Weddings. I can't seem to find anything online on how to do this though and the search capabilities makes me think this isn't possible.

I keep getting this message.

Hello,When we attach a Samsung phone to the PC in MTP or PTP protocol mode, Bridge will not display the thumbnails of the pictures currently on the phone when trying to browse them (within bridge). Clicking a picture shows that it's meta is empty and size 0bytes. However, we can use the Get From Camera function just fine and it will import the photos from the phone (afterwhich the thumbnails are visible). We don't have this issue using a Digital Camera or a Memory Card/Stick that uses simple windows drive letter mapping. It appears to be an issue using Phones or MTP connected devices. Windows explorer can see all the photo thumbnails just fine. Whats wrong please? P.S. we are using Windows 10, but i tried on a Windows 7 PC too and it does the same thing. Thanks,James.

I've downloaded an image file in Bridge.  Some of the jpgs are corrupted.  B&W pixelation (like an old B&W tv), a green stripe down the middle of some.  If I look at the images outside of Bridge -they do not appear like this...version 11.0.1.109Windows 10 version 20H2

HI, I have been using bridge for the first time, selected 150 images, made some amendments, but all these changes have now been saved to the original image on the memory card (yes learning point one, copy to pc first.)  Is there any way I can revert all the images to original - you may be able to see the edited icon on the thumbnail.  Thanks  

Just updated to latest Bridge, layout different, tools moved. I cannot find scrubby zoom option in Camera Raw. Any help would be appreciated!

On a brand new iMac, I have the following problems when I want to copy photos (heavy files, about 50 Mo) from my computer to an external hard drive under Bridge 11.0.1 (I have updated Bridge a few days ago) : some photos do not copy at all; others copy in a very degraded way and when I want to open this degraded copy, I get a message with : last login...zsh/exec format error/...deleting expired sessions...none found. (In terms of storage capacity, the hard drives are half empty.) Apple assures me that the problem doesn't come from the computer, but from Bridge. Dear All,Need your suggestiobn & help in this respect.I am not able to opening Bridge ( Adobe Bridge 2021)  after updating Mac OS Catlina 10.15.7.I searched in this forum and tried all the options.Like:1. giving permission to files & folders though System preferrences2. Providing User permission to all the application of MacOS Catlina through "Terminal Window". Still I am getting the error (PFA) :- The Operation Could Not Be CompletedThe File or Directlory Could Not be Found. Even I uninstall Bridge and again done the Installation through Adobe CC. Hello, I have multiple custom xmp file info panels that have been used for years. When I add them to Bridge 2020 10.0.0.124 the first one will have the correct name, but when I add the rest all panels end up having the same name. The contents of the panels keep their original info, the names just end up all being the same.
