I have a few thumbnails that, when opened in Camera Raw, are actually different pictures that appear within that working folder. I've found about 5 of them in the same folder that do this. I believe this is a recent event as I've never noticed this before. Does anyone have any ideas? -Kurt
I download my images to Bridge, then open new folder which I name at the same time. I can no longer rename the folder, just keeps the 'untitled folder 2' on it. This happened in the last few weeks, some time after updating LRcc, PS etc. Please help - driven mad with the wasted time!! I am trying to get the imgaes from my SD card, convert to DNG and save to my computer. I've done it a million times, but today I am getting the error message: Adobe Bridge cannnot obtain files from this device. Please ensure that the device is connected prooperly, or that the battery is charged, and try again. I tried a different card reader and different USB ports and still the same error. I even uninstalled Bridge and reinstalled it so it is the most up to date version. In the preview before I click "Get Media" I can see all of the images so I know it's reading my card.
Hello. In Bridge how can I view file name and label of an image file in filmstrip? Right now the file name and label is shown in the Preview pane, but the image thumbnails in the Content pane are blank, there's no info (except for folders which do have their name displayed). If it matters, the filmstrip is shown in vertical mode. Also, if I view all the thumbnails in Essentials, the file name and label are displayed. Thanks for any help!
I updated my Mac to Mojave & the latest Bridge update. Ever since then, when I plug my camera into the computer it recognizes the camera, but says "This device does not contain any supported media." If I hit refresh it appears like it's loading for a split second, then back to the same message. I tried on my old version of Bridge & even iPhoto & it does not recognize my camera's images. (I am trying to import jpegs, so RAW images would not be the issue)
In the past month Adobe has finally gotten clever enough to lock me out of using Bridge Version 8 from 2018, which without question had the best GUI interface of any. It would no longer allow me to invoke Camera Raw (well played Adobe). As a former GUI designer who is now forced to use the present versions of Bridge, I'm going to fully present the troublesome issues in clear detail in support of the many many users who have been asking for the same thing the past two years. The IssuesScreen Usage Efficiency - There is simply too much padding and wasted space around all of the content. As designers, we have thousands of folders and files to navigate. We need to see LOTS of information at a time on our huge 4K monitors with minimal scrolling. The Black Background on Thumbnails - You have seen many complaints about this, yet it is still here. Do these have a function? Would removing them cause problems we are not aware of? They take up space that could be used for a larger thumbnail. I also
Hi,In the last few cersions of Bridge - I have the latest on my Mac, Photodownloader open as it should and downloads images from my sd card (on desktop)to eventually open images in Bridge. All as expected. Here's the but: I tool 30 RAW images on my SD card and here is what happened.Time for downloader to copy from SD card on desktop to new folder on desktop abpout 30 seconds.Time to just drag and drop from SD on desktop to folder on desktop about 10 seconds.Time for "Import from Device" from SD card on desktop to new folder on desktop 10 seconds.SD card read by reader and appears on desktop every time.RAW files averaged 30meg each. Any thoughts - memory says this used not to be the case. Thank you, Steve1812
1st shots downloaded. In File manager I can see thumbnails, but not in CC, just icons. Too new, so IU have to update. Try to and get spinning circle, won't update. Go to Adobe.com and it's saying Photoshop subscription is $20/month. Did they double their price? Will that apply, or the $40/month for an ap when I went there just before? Why can FM have thumbs and not Bridge? Outrageous. Try again, spinning circle. every update ruins things further, totally upsetting once smooth workflow.
No offence to the creators and those in management .....etc but it is about time that accessing content libraries in adobe bridge over all other adobe app's should not be an issue , as just a simple amatuer even i see how it makes ADOBE look , not very good and a bit backward , not having the technology in place to allow full access to adobe bridge libraries , hopefully this issue is quickly rectified before the competition enables such access in thier systems and starts an avalanche of customers leaving ADOBE to go to the competition who are listening and taking notice of what the subscriptiooon paying $$$$$$$$$$$$ customers are requesting
I am unable to uninstall an older version that is slushing behind in my application list. The only way a might be able to uninstall it is to reinstall the exact same version and then uninstall that one. (It worked for other adobe applications) This older version (it has to be v10.0 )doesn't seem to be available any more.Does someone know how I might be rid of this problem? OS: Windows 10Have the complete CC suite.PS. I have tried all the regular proceedings before posting this question. DS
Hi All Is there a simple metadata re-edit process when one field in the Bridge Metadata Template changes and there are thousands of images to update in a photo library...with the images sitting in an organised single folder but within many multiple subfolders...without the need to open each subfolder to apply the new template changes directly to the images in the subfolder? Say, the IPTC metadata includes an address, email or phone details and one of these changes... Any help appreciated. Many thanksChristoChristo Aitken
I use Adobe Bridge on 2 MacBook Pro's. On my old MBP, OS Catalina, it works fine. On my new one, MBP M1, OS Big Sur, Bridge will not look into my Documents and Download folders. It works on other folders, and it works with Documents on my external backup drive. I have installed the newest version of Bridge and it still doesn't work. Any suggestions are appreciated.
If I open a JPEG from Bridge in ACR, make some changes then click the Done button to exit ACR the changes I made are visible in Bridge. However, if I view the JPEG file in Windows Explorer the changes are not there. There is no XMP file for the JPEG so where are the changes saved? Does bridge have a catalog that contains the changes like LR or are the changes written into the JPEG in a format that is ignored by other image viewing software? Thanks. By the way, I know that I can force the changes to disk by clicking the Save Image button in ACR instead of clicking Done but this is messy because there is no way to overwrite the existing JPEG file. Every change generates a new file.
I found plenty of articles explaining how to turn ON color sycning, but no information on how to turn it off. Every time export a PDF from a book file in InDesign, I get an error message about color profiles. I'd like to simply turn off the color syncing. Any ideas how?
The new update now makes the app icon smaller than the other CC icons.
If I go into ACR from Bridge and flip an image vertically (or possibly rotate through 180deg) the resulting image shows correctly in Bridge, but when I do a slideshow (ctrl L) it shows as unflipped. I attach an example
Hi. Basically, whenever I try to do a batch rename in Adobe Bridge CC 2020 the program freezes and it doesn't rename. To shut it down I have to go to Task Manager and End Task. Things I have tried:- Uninstall all Adobe applications and used Adobe Cleaner- Ctrl-Alt-Delete and cleaned preferences- Moved files to another disk drive (including flash drive) and tried to rename there I'm at wits end. Is there a Windows 10 security setting that might be blocking it? Ive seen mention of something like this for Mac. Thank
The newest version of bridge does not include Photoshop actions within Tools menu - can no longer open multiple images from Bridge into layers in same document within Photoshop?
Hello. Have 2 computers, one with Windows 7 and Photoshop CC. Bridge opens, no problem. Have a new computer with Photoshop CC, and Bridge CC will not start. Please do not suggest any changes to Preferences, purging cache and so on, as when I click the Bridge icon or attempt to browse Bridge within Photoshop CC, the hour glass icon appears for a half second, and then nothing. Thanks, Jim.
Hi,Bridge is massively slower than ever.Never did that for years.Worked like charm back in August 2020, folders of 500+ raws (30Mb/ea) with no slow issue. - Opening a folder of only 100 raws, Bridge literrally freeze for almost 1 min, after i could barely use it.- Freeze when openning menus (File, Edit ect...).- Freeze when navigate between images : randomly takes 3-4 sec to change image with arrows in thumbnail view (not full view).- Freeze when click on Filters- Overall : random freezes Anyone have this issue and got a solution ?Thanks for the time What i did :- Resintalled Bridge- Tried to launch Bridge, wait it to "work", close and launch it again : same slows/freeze each time.- Cache cleared- Start up scripts removed Config :- Core i7 9700K- GeForce 2080 Ti- 32GB RAM- 1To SSD (dedicated to photos edit only, no programs on it) (60% full)- Windows 10 Pro on 500Gb SSD (40% full)- Background softs running : Brave (browser) + google sync + discord + adobe CC (no cha
For a while now, I have had an issue where when updating keywords, it comes up with an error the first time, and is usually ok when I try it again/ On more serious occasions it removes the metadata (created date/keywords/location data etc. I use nested keywords, and it tends to happen when either I enter a deep level or do too many updates in quick succession. The error message is not useful, and I dont know whether I could add some debugging to hget more info. (If I call support it tends to work!)
In ACR I set the images to open as smart objects. When I try to add multiple files as layers via the Photoshop Tools Menu Item, it refuses as it will not work on smart objects. In the previous version of photoshop this worked by opening the images as non smart objects. This worked well, so can we please have it back?
After the recent update, Bridge now minimizes the folder tree and preview panes any time the program itself is minimized. I'm using a 2020 Dell XPS 15 with a 4K screen. Purging preferences doesn't work, and neither does manually setting the scaling rate. It is the exact same behavior described and shown here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/bridge/how-to-stop-bridge-autocollapsing-panels-bridge-version-9-1-0-338-on-windows-10/td-p/10472136?page=1 Here is a video uploaded by a user who had the same problem: https://assets.adobe.com/public/44661f97-5caf-4d3d-4b0c-cc477e21cbf6
