Bridge

I need to copy a scan from my Brother scanner. I used Picasa before, but that's not working since installing Creative Cloud and Bridge.  I cannot seem to uninstall Bridge.

I just started to use Adobe Bridge 2020 in earnest. Every time I open or jump folders, Bridge regenerates all thumbnails causing serious waiting times. I tried everything I could find on the Internet and on Adobe's website. I also went through all available options in Bridge Preferences. I noticed that I am not the only one concerned with this issue. I am beginning to think that this is normal behavior of Bridge.I am coming to Bridge from ACDSee Photo Studio. In that program, once the appropriate folders are "Catalogued", all thumbnails are immediately in place no matter how many times one changes folders and/or disks or leaves and renters the program. In addition, using keywords, the results are instantaneous and cover ALL folder and disks no matter what folder or disk you are in. This seems to be a great piece of software, but this to me would be a party stopper. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciate.Wolfgang Stachelwews38@gmail.com

I just updated to Adobe Bridge 2021 11.0.0.83, on Mac with OS Big Sur.I want to open elder pics and updating keywords of some files, but it does not work with elder (before 2013) pics.Any idea how to solve that?

Upon performing a batch rename the rename stops before renaming all selected photos and multiple photos now show up as jpeg icons rather than a preview of the image. No consistency in how many photos the rename will actually work on. Sometime 20 odd photos in a selected batch of 1,000 will rename correctly, sometimes 500+ photos in the same batch will rename successfully. At the same time there is no constancy in how many photos will no longer be viewable (image preview changes to jpeg icon). In once instance 90% of a batch of 1,500 are no longer viewable in bridge. This issue has occurred in varying degrees of severity in all folders I’ve tried to Batch rename since the October update. Even closing Bridge and reopening with the same folder of photos the images are still only showing up as icons. However, if you go to the actual images in finder the images are fine and fully viewable. Pulling the images into Photoshop or Lightroom and the images are fine. The issue seams to be isolated

Is it possible to have XMP metadata integrated into raw files and not in a sidecar XMP file?

Hello. Before recently installing Photoshop (CC) on my new PC (Windows 10), if I right-clicked on an image (TIFF) in Bridge there was an option to Open with Camera Raw. That option is now gone and the only option is to Open with Adobe Photoshop 2021. Is it possible to also have Open with Camera Raw as an option in Bridge? I can't seem to find anything in Edit > Preferences, online, or in this forum. Thanks for any help.

I am gettting an error message once downloaded Bridge from Creative cloud, it says Mac cannot check for malware, contact developer. Any ideas please? brand new Mac I am setting up today and worked fine on my older version Mac. Many thanks

Bridge 2021 only displays a generic webp file thumbnail.  The webp file format is not listed in the Bridge Preferences File Association Types.  Can Bridge 2021 display photographic thumbnails for the webp file format?

Hello, It seems many MAC users are having this issue, but I'm not finding one for Windows. I have tried refreshing the view, but for whatever reason I cannot use CTRL + ALT + Shift to access permissions while opening Bridge, so I could not try that fix. Is there any other options for this?Thanks.

 Can anyone help? This happens on a Win10 laptop. All adobe softwares have been updated to the latest version. When I was viewing images in Bridge, some of them suddenly disappeared and reappeared as RAW files.

In Bridge 2018, it was possible to adjust the colour theme of Bridge with a slider, so that I could have the window frame and general interface black (which I prefer), but have the background (behind the thumbnails and previews) white, so that I can easily and visually spot any off-whites against the white background of bridge.  It was very flexible in how you could adjust the colour of the different parts of the interface.  Now, there seem to be only 4 choices; black, dark grey, mid grey and light grey.  Anyone figured out how to change the background colour to white in this version?  I do lots of e-commerce shooting where I could judge the whiteness of my images against the white background of Bridge.  But now I can't seem to do that. 

HiI need some help restoring functionality to bridge. Double clicking on a thumbnail of a jpeg file no longer opens the image in Photoshop, similarly right clicking and using "open with" has the same result and likewise dragging the thumbnail onto the Photoshop icon in the dock no longer works.File type associations in the preferences is set to Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 for jpeg files.This lack of functionality became a problem following an upgrade of the Photoshop application.The application is being used on an IMac running Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6Adice and help would be appreciated. I have over 1000 files where I need to put the file name (minus extension) into the title metadata in order to automatically fill the Alt text for a website. I found a script on here from a while ago but it doesnt appear to do anything when I select it. I think it was wrote for CS5.Can anyone help? Thanks

Hi Folks,I am attempting to find images in Collections and Bridge has lost the links. (versions 7 and 9)  Nothing changed in the path between Bridge and the drive on which these images are located, so I don't know understand why the links were lost to begin with. I'm wondering if there is away to reconstuct the links without recreating the collecions. If anyone can suggest a more efficient way to regain the links I'd love to hear it.If anyone knows why the problem occurred to begin with I'd love to hear that too.Thanks!

Noticed on Adobe Bridge today that the Open With option when I right click is no longer available... Any idea how to fix it? I thought maybe it had to do with using Bridge 2020 to open images in Photoshop 2021 - so I updated and still no fix. Not seeing anything in the preferences that may help. Any tips or fixes? Thank you!

HI! I NEED URGENT HELP.Bridge just vanished with my back up files from my last job.I made a copy of it in the organization process. After using it I told bridge to replace these same files back to the original folder, to what it shown me a error message. After clicking "OK" the hole original backup folder what gone, taking all the files I send to replace with it.It is not on trash nor anywhere else in my computer.Thus file replacement error deleted both copies. Beware of Bridge Destroing Your Files !!!

Hi I always use "Adobe Bridge Photo Downloader" to download photos to my Mac. With the latest BR (ver 11.0.0.83) and PS (ver 22.0.0) update "Adobe Bridge Photo Downloader" has disappeared !! Could you help me find my "Photo downloader". Thank you very much, in advance.

hello, i would like to open my pictures with a double click in photoshop. Unfortunately, since the latest update, you can no longer adjust it. Maybe someone has a solution?

 I add location data, keywords and descriptions among other things to my files in Bridge CC.  Often the movie files (.mov) don't accept the data for unknown reasons.  Opened in CC and now 52 movies of hundreds in a folder show no metadata and. I go to CS6 Bridge and am able to add all those things, so they are like the rest.  Back in CC now 3 have no keywords. 28 no description. Purge cache and all but 3 Hermit Thrushes lack keywords. Add descriptions to all but Hermit Thrushes which wouldn't show any data before. Added location metadata. Add keywords and that disappears and no metadata again. Oh and now I see that the data under the thumbs is gone (number, date, size.)  I go back to CS6 and now those 3 Hermit Thrushes lack the data, but I'm able to put back.  All have the data under the thumbs.  Going back to CC, finally all movies have the data.  But not the 3 things under the thumbs that are set in preferences.  Am I the only one tha

The video I've attached shows what Bridge is doing. It doesn't do it on every image, just randomly. We've purged the cache. Any ideas?

An Adobe tech got rid of the awful camera raw that makes one take twice as many steps, or more, cropping and changing settings.  Now CC updated again and I am back to the unwanted later version of Camera Raw that more than doubles the time of my workflow.  These designers just seem to figure out ways to make things more difficult, it seems.  How can I roll back to the earlier version that worked fine.
