Also, the filter isnt working - Clearly there are 16 files with this filter, but only 13 are showing - the others are not hidden or anything and appear when I turn the filter off...Nice update Adobe, you never cease to impress.
Hi, since I updated the application to Bridge 2021, the app uses a huge amount of CPU time. This also results in an increase in the temperature of the Mac (iMac 27 late 2017, i5, 24 GB of ram), and the massive use of RAM.Why? Possible resolutions?
I'm looking for guidance on the best way to export basic metadata to a .CSV file from Bridge. I don't know anything about command line, so I'm trying to avoid using exiftool, a resource that's been recommended for this issue previously. I'd rather avoid having to teach myself how to troubleshoot an entire additional skillset. The big issue I'm running into is my keywords are divided under sub-headings (so it will read Locations > Honduras > Tegucigalpa) and when I try to export using Lightroom, all it picks up is "Locations" with no information further down. I would prefer the export to include subheadings by kind of any means, so if that means it just reads "Tegucigalpa" or it reads the full path, either is fine, I'm just trying to avoid giving myself more work on this export. Thanks for the help!
Greetings, running BR 21 and PS 21, OSX Catalina 10.15.7. Doing product shots of t-shirts, shooting in Sony ARW (raw). I do most of the edits in Camera Raw within BR, then to remove the back ground I open in PS. Quick selection, erase background, great. Now I need the save function that is within the Camera Raw popup that allows me to save images in jpeg, constraining the longest edge to 2500px, and size to 500kb. I'm saving these images for my website, Squarespace says these are the best settings for that. Is there a way to reimport photos from PS back to BR, so I can export in a manner with which I am familiar? Or is there a better way to do this in PS. The end goal is to use Bridge to quickly/easily make edits to large product photosets, remove the background so it is pure white, and export as a jpeg with specific settings to the pixels on the long end and maximum size constraints. Actionable responses are appreciated.&n
My iMac (2017 - 10.15.7 - 3.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 - 8 GB 2400 MHz DDR4) is constantly crashing while I'm editing photos in ACR and using Bridge. Everything is up to date on both the computer and Creative Cloud. It happens constantly and shuts down my entire computer several times in a short time span. Which is making editing impossible. It's gotten increasingly worse over the last few weeks. More than enough memory available. It happens when I have anywhere from 5-20 images open in ACR. I had a complete new hard drive upgrade installed earlier this year because it was happening so often then as well. The computer shop couldn't find the issue but recommended the upgrade. I've tried resetting bridge and emptying the caches. I'm at a loss and hoping someone can shed some light. Below is the crash report: panic(cpu 2 caller 0xffffff7f91fbaa8d): watchdog timeout: no checkins from watchdogd in 97 seconds (112 total c
Anybody else experiencing issues with the new video thumbnail view? The system crashes every time and frankly, it's a real pain because it doesn't work. I just need bridge to sort so I can rename. anybody know how to turn off this incredibly annoying "update"off?
Bridge appears to be auto applying a preset to all of the images on my memory card when I open it up. How do I undo this? I have not set it to do this and I have never had it happen before.
I've been using Adobe bridge ever since CS4 and have never had this problem before. Until they went from CC version 8 to 9, I mean. I have searched though the preferences and set my catch to over 1000MB but it helped nothing. It is to great inconvenience thta I can not see the picture, but only a PSD DOC thumbnail! Are their any others who have the same problem or had, and have found a solution?
After the latest update, Camera Raw doesn't want to launch from inside Bridge. I get an error message saying its not compatilbe with this version of Bridge. All software is updated to the most current version. Any help is appreciated.
Can anyone please advise how I can index my Keyword templates into separate folders? When I crerate a new Keyword template it just joins a long list of previous templates, I would like to have separate catagorised folders but can't see a way to do this?I already have a keyword folders from a previous programme (Photomechanic), I can access these folders from Bridge but cannot find a way to add any new templates to them either!Any assistance, in simple terms please, will be much appreciated.
When I select an entire folder of files and batch rename, the status bar that loads only gets part way before it goes away and somehow deselects a portion of the batch so those files are not renamed. It's also, in some instances, changing the file extension -- mostly from jpg to mov or sometimes jpeg. This file extension issues happens mostly with iphone jpgs (not HEIC). The arbitrary deselection of batch rename files happens with all file types. Batch rename and metadata is a common daily thing I do and this has never happened before. I have updated my software and restarted multiple times yet the problem persists.
Hello, a curious question as I cannot get any help from Adobe on this issue. I have been running Creative suite CS6 on a Windows 7 laptop successfully for at least 5 years. I just upgraded to a new Windows 10 laptop and installed CS6, which appears to be working fine. However, Bridge on my new computer will not open CR2 raw files, whereas I never had that issue on my older laptop. I downladed and installed the DNG converter ver 13 and it will convert my CR2 files so they can be opened, but that is an extra step, of course. Any thoughts on why Bridge on my new computer will not open the CR2 files? Thanks,
For years I have used Bridge to sort and organize my raw files, open multiple .cr2 files to edit and color correct, then export. Today I was editing a bunch of photos and I did my normal thing, but then after editing 100 photos or so I hit done, and none of the changes show up in the preview panel. If i click individual (or even a group) of .cr2 files and open them in Camera Raw then my changes are there, but for some reason they don't show up in my preview panel so I can see what I've done. The only thing different I did today than in the past is earlier today I cleared my cache of old images. But that was long before I even imported these photos into my computer so why would that even effect it? Any help?
I have a problem. I have imported over 1000 photos on my Mac. However, the date has been overwritten with the current modification date. In the meta info I can still see the creation date and my question would be the following:Can I use Bridge to automatically overwrite the modification date with the creation date? (see the screenshot)Or are there possibly other tools for this?I look forward to hearing from you.
hello, since the last upgrade, small previews for AI and PSD do not display : only the AI or PSD icon.I've tried to clear the cache but it didn'yt workThank you for your helpSD
Since the last major update, the videos are played back automatically in the thumbnail view. But the double-click no longer opens the video in the normal video player. Why? Is this a bug? Pressing Enter on the thumbnail works as expected: The video opens in the player. The double click does nothing (the autoplayback in thumb is started on mouse over).
Sorry, but I have to comment. Just like the latest Camera Raw makes my operation takes several times longer, so does a change in Bridge. It seems like these developers are bored and have so much time that they have to increase the workload on others. So I have shot a lot of Arthropod specimens. I don't want the date shot, but the date the subject was collected. So I could just overwrite the IPTC date or paste it in. But it came to my attention that there was still the other date under camera data. Formerly I could just copy and paste the above data in a couple of seconds. Now I have to click and a menu comes up where I could go back decades on a calender, or shorter, about 15 typing or arrow steps, taking 30" compared to 1 step, 1" to 2 ". 15x as long multiplied by hundreds of images. And I don't even want a time but have to accept noon, which is wrong. What are they thinking?
I upgraded to the latest versions of After Effects and Bridge ... and now I can't move the files that I view in Bridge.
I've tried all the settings that I've found on the old treads here.Still getting crashes every time I try to stack. The bracketed frames are shot in auto bracket and clearly show the -2, -1, --, +1, +2 settings in the metadata window of bridge. It seems like a relatively simple task to read that field and stack accordingly. What are my options?Regards,David
Je ne parviens pas à télécharger mes photos faites avec un nikon Z6 en utilisant le lecteur de carte Sony et l'application de Bridge . Par contre je peux toujours télécharger les photos faites avec mon nikon D750 . Pouvez vous m'aider?
Hello there, I am having a tough time implementing something that will greatly speed up my workflow. Essentially, I need to find a way to automate the "Load Files Into Photoshop Layers" tool in Bridge. As a quick background, I have to make collages for work every now and then. For example, I have an action that makes a 3x3 collage when you give photoshop 9 images. This process isn't automated as I have to load 9 files into photoshop and then run the action. It would be ideal if I could give photoshop a stack of files to perform this action. In bridge, I have different stacks that contain 9 photos each in them. I can't wrap my head around how I can tell photoshop to process each stack individually and run only one action per stack. I believe that all I need is a script that takes a stack of photos and makes a new document in photoshop with each image being a unique layer in this document. Then, I would be able to run my script that can make a collage from those layers. If I were to
Hello,I need to identify layered tifs from a batch of images, and wondered if there is a way of using Bridge to search for these, without having to open up images individually to check for layers on Photoshop. Is there a piece of metadata I can search for that reliably identifies tifs with layers as opposed to flattened ones?I need to locate them from a batch of thousands, so any help would be much appreciated!
When defining a template to set metadata in Bridge, are there any macro-like substitution variables available? Specifically, I want to set the Title to be the filename of the image file. Is there a $filename variable or something similar available that I can set as the Title value?
hello! I am doing some work where I am going through a large archive and updating/editing the metadata. I've figured out how to do many of the things I need to quickly, but I can't solve my problem with editing the description metadata. Many of the photo files already have a description in them, which I would like to keep, but I need to add a sentence or two after the description that is already there (it might be a folder with 30 files, each with a different description that describes something specific about the photo, and I want to add the same sentences to all 30 files' descriptions without deleting the original, unique description in each file). It would save me a lot of time since right now I have to just click on each file separately and paste the extra sentences in manually. I thought the 'append metadata' feature was going to help, but it doesn't seem to work? When I create a template (with just the sentences I want to add in the description) and then select the files and 'app
Hi there, I have a group of images that have somehow had their document type changed. Each individual image in this folder has a different document type of ascending numbers instead of what it should be which is ‘camera raw image’. The only thing I have changed was ‘batch rename’ & when I went back into that to have back track my steps, i noticed that the file name no longer has .CR2 at the end of it which would identify it as an image from my kind of camera. I am unsure how this has happened, but I really want to know how to get it back to the original document type, because currently i am having problems opening the photo in photoshop from bridge as photoshop does not recognise the file type anymore.I have tried to contact adobe but theyre busy with other people. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
