We're seeing that search does not find the expected images unless we 1st go to the top level folder and do: View/Show items in subfolders. However indexing takes almost an hour for our 6,000 image library, making Bridge pretty unusable! As I understand it, "View/Show items in subfolders" forces the library to be "indexed".Why is that step needed if we have all ready exported a shared cache? (which took several hours itself!) Running Bridge 10.0.4.157 on Windows 10 in a Google File Stream environment with the images and cache in the Google File Stream. Anyone able to search reliably in a Google Filestream environment with a shared cache?
Ohmy Gosh..Houuurrrrss later, what could have been a fun one hour edit of a fantastic shoot day has become a 6 hour, unsuccessful backache session, uploading and re uploading images only to repeatedly discover that hundreds of the images are randomly becoming hidden. I shoot with my iphone and I shoot on a Canon withh a basic digital card. Why is this happenning? Does anyone know? Does it have to do with icloud being live on my laptop? I just want to:1. upload the digital card to my laptop into a folder2. Upload the iphone images into the same folder3. Use Bridge to edecide which ones to keep and finalize, and delete the rest It isnt working anymore. I used to be able to work this way, but it has been a long time since I shot. Lastly, Why on Earth do we not have a cut and paste button on bridge, anymore. The dragging feature doesnt work that well. I wish (so badly) they'd allow is to cut and paste.
Can anyone tell me where the noise reduction panel is in Adobe Bridge July 2020 update, please? I can see the sharpening panel under Detail, but no noise reduction.
Issue:One of the issues that arises when working with multiple teams on multiple projects is that inevitably some people occasionally do not adhere to naming protocol. If a file or folder's name is then changed to correct the file name and it's not in a section within the documents "links" folder it is often lost to the program(unlinked/broken link). Time is lost relinking files after renaming, some times its 1 file, or 1 file with multiple instances (no big deal) other times its multiple files of varying types in various locations and it takes a lot more time to relink those.Solution:Bridge already "talks" to the majority if not all of the Adobe suite apps. The idea is for all relevant changes to files and folders done within Adobe Bridge to be noted and temporarily saved, when an indesign file is opened and it has missing links (while having Bridge open) it would allow for Bridge to communicate to Indesign that "Folder A" was Changed to "Folder B" as well as any other fil
I guess it's time to update Bridge. I have CS4 that I've used for quite a few years without a problem. Now, whenever I select an object/photo in Bridge and want to open with PSE 2019, I get an unwelcome screen asking me what I want to do today. Where can I download a stable version of Bridge? I'm not interested in Creative Cloud. Thanks for helping. BTW, I'm a Mac user: version 10:13:6
Hi, l have a problem scrolling true my files in Bridge using a touchpad on a laptop. The scroll is jumpy, not usable, however using a mouse everything works fine! Any suggestion to solve the problem, thanks!
I updated the Adobe products on the day the updates came out last week (Jun 2020) so I'm now on 10.1.0.163. I had been working on a graphic with the previous version of Photoshop and completed it on the latest version. While the file isn't small at 1.08G, I've worked on much, much larger files in the past, but this file now won't render in Bridge. That is, the thumbnail shows the icon only and not the thumbnail. Furthermore, the icon is that of the previous version of Photoshop, not the most current one. There are numerous other versions of this same graphic that were completed on the older version of Photoshop that show just fine. This is a royal pain for me and kind of defeats the idea of having a browser. The image (not just the icon) shows fine in Apple's Finder and I can open the file from either Finder or Bridge. I have cleared and optimized the cache a couple of times with no results. I have also reset the preferences for Bridge, again with no results. Is there any way I can get
Adobe tells me there's an update available for Photoshop, Bridge, InDesign and Illustrator. I use them all daily as I have for decades. I want to know what is new, but instead, when I click on "Learn More" all I get is a sales pitch. Please treat me like the professional I am, and give me real information. Have you added features? Modified existing ones? Where's the useful information? Badly done!
Is there a way to create a Smart Collection to filter only .xD format files?
Hello.I have Bridge June 2020 release (version 10.1) installed. Bridge open and closes immediately. In my Bridge window on the right side i see something empty. Can you help me?
Image files size is turned on in Metadata abut not showing under each thumbnail in bridge since last download, this is a serious issue for me as I need scan through some 700 images and check dimensions and file size.Always worked before and is a great asset in Bridge but its not happening now. Any clues on how to turn this on
Just updated Bridge and now my jpegs images won't open in PS. A photo editor program opens instead and my other option is RAW. I just want the photos to open in PS like they have for years of using the program.
When importing pictures from my iPhone, the Downloader in Bridge 10.0.3. sorts them by Date Modified, not by Shot Date. Also, subfolder creation and renaming during import does NOT use the Shot Date, as it pretends to do, but the date of last file modification. When I inspect the imported files, both Date Created of the file and Date Time Original in the EXIF data show the correct date, but the file has been renamed to the wrong date and moved to the wrong folder - Date File Modified now of course being today's date.... In the screenshot: file was shot 13.02.2019 and modified 04.03.2020, hence the new file name is 20200403_0001.jpg where it should be 20200213_0001.jpg!Why on earth is the downloader relying on file dates when the full EXIF-data is availble? And when using file dates, why using the modified date instead of the created date?Seems there has been a complaint about this already in 2018:https://community.adobe.com/t5/bridge/create-subfolders-option-in-photo-download
I'm trying to create a letter size contact sheet with .NEF files. I dragged and dropped the images into the grid but instead of rotating a landscape orientation to portrait, Bridge squishes it vertically, distorting the image and leaving a lot of white space. I've checked "Rotata Thumbnail for Best Fit" so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
When using the Batch Rename Tool to rename a group of selected files (thumbnails) by adding text AFTER the current filename, the rename causes the Content display to reset to the first file in the folder. The previously selected files remain selected, but their thumbnails (and new names) are not visible unless the user scrolls the content display down to their position. This is a frustrating waste of time! I can uderstand this happening if renaming causes the file list to reorder, but adding text AFTER the current filename does not cause the file list to reorder. It may be that there is a logical bug in the Bridge software that causes a the content display to reset after any Batch Rename. Please investigate and, I suggest a fix.
i have thousands of photos and a lot of videos in multiple folders on multiple hard drives (internal and external). i want to eliminate duplicates and put all photos and videos in one centralized location. how?
I have (a free copy of) Adobe Bridge installed, and have just downloaded Camera Raw. Despite my Creative Cloud page saying the Camera Raw is 'up to date', when I try to open an image within my Bridge Content pane, I get a message saying " Camera Raw Editing Is Not Enabled. Camera Raw editing requires that a qualifying product has been licensed". Can anyone help with this? Thanks, George
I'm tying to "Export to" and nothing happens. The jobs just sit in the progress window and nothing happens. This has GOT to be a joke.Any ideas? I'm without words with the incompentence of Adobe on this.
Hi! Any help would be massively appreciated. I finally made the leap to Creative Cloud and when I try to edith through Bridge/Camera Raw, I can't apply favorited presets (see where its lighter gray and cant be accessed.) I can locate my XMP files, use it to adjust the image, but then can't SAVE that setting. Or make categories of saved presets. Please help friends!! I'm sorry if I havent worded properly.
I know that Adobe is inept, but this has to be a bad joke! Why the f*&^%%$ do they do this with every update - something is always broken - can't download images from sd card in computer - downloader sees the images, I'm able to check mark those I want to download, but they are not downloading even though the program is showing the conversion to dng etc.
Is this a bug?
Normally, when selecting an JPEG Image to processes in Photoshop the file opens in Photoshop. Since the new upgrade the selected file now opens in Arcsoft media and not in Photoshop. If the image has also been save previously as a PSD file and is selected the image opens as it should in Photoshop. The conflict means I nnow have to open JPEGs as "Open in RAW" to access Photoshop. Never had this issue with previous updates - what is going on?
I'm trying to batch export using an edit preset in the Export panel. It works great, and I'd love to start using it, but... It forces all the images to 300dpi when I just want it to stay at 72. Any way to fix this?
Just update Bridge and thumbnail slider missing from Content 'Essentials' screen?? And still no dual monitor support; how difficult can it be to have thumbnails open on one screen and a full size preview on the other screen? It's the reason I use Faststone viewer & never Bridge. If a freeware viewer can do it, surely it shouldn't be beyond Adobe's designers to give us the option?
