Bridge

Over the past two weeks Bridge has been randomly crashing, forcing me to Shift_Command_Option opening it, clearing out everything, etc. Then it's fine for a day, then it crashes. Updating to the newest version causes the application to crash immediately, so I ended up rolling it back to 9.0.1.216. Now it only crashes every day. One thing I'm noticing is that it'll be okay once I remove my collections. If I put them back though, it'll crash soonish. I've been able to put them back in one at a time and have it work okay until the next time I start Bridge. All startup scripts are disabled. Files larger than 1000MB are not being processed. Computer is running MacOS 10.13.6, 16GB RAM, 2.9GHz i7 Processor. Any help would be great. Thanks!

I have Bridge CC Version 9.0.2.219 x64 running on a Windows 10 PC.I have several folders in Favorites which all have the same name, namely 2019 for the current year, but they do not display consistently.Sometimes no folder paths are shown:Sometimes some folder paths are shown, some fully, some with ellipsis ... :Sometimes all folder paths are shown in full:If I close and reopen Bridge one of the above will occur but which one is quite unpredictable.Can anybody explain what is happening here?Is there a cure?

When there are large collections in user/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Bridge CC 2019/Collections Bridge crashes.1. Launch Bridge2. View a large collection (created in previous version of Bridge) -- these can be 250 images or more3. Close Bridge4. Attempt to open Bridge again5. Bridge crashes6. Remove the collection from the folder7. hi therewould appreciate any help with the following issue:I used to work with Bridge (as part of my PS CS6) to tag my photos. After a swap of my computer i now have all photos and bridge installed. Unfortunately, all tgas are gone. Did I miss to restore anything? What to look for in the backup?Cheers Thorsten

Hi, I am not unexplored to new program versions, styles or UX. But Bridge CC 2019 is the worst update of Bridge I ever had. There are too many disturbing elements, the screen usage (I have 4k+5k) is not optimized - you waste the space. Now I see less and smaller images, a terrible grid, no small and compact  folder view. How can I reset the old styles?In the meantime I've erased CC 2019 and use CC 2018. The new version is even not faster (so why should use it??)

I think that it may be because it is automatically putting http:// in frontand then it does not accept the colon after that. Any ideas as to how I could get around this?

When moving to the Lightroom, the image is also brightened, in any other case it is displayed correctly. It has been happening for three (3) months. Has anyone came across this and can help?

I'm relearning Bridge, and in the Lynda.com tutorial, the guy is able to right-click on any image and it pulls up a menu with an "Open With" option listing a bunch of applications.On mine, the only option I seem to have is Illustrator.  How do I get Photoshop and others listed? One forum mentioned the file type associations in preferences, but that does not seem to allow for creating multiple options.In addition, there is no Open-With option given at all with video files.

I have updated my Windows 10 PC to Bridge 9.0.2.219 x64, and the Cache Management seems to have changed fundamentally.  In previous versions of Bridge, there was a preference to “Automatically EXPORT Cache to Folders When Possible."  This choice resulted in two files, “.BridgeCache” and “.BridgeCacheT” being created in each folder browsed by Bridge.  There was also a menu option under Tools > Cache > “Purge Cache for Folder ‘name’” that deleted and then recreated these two files in the folder being browsed.In the new version of Bridge CC 2019, the preference to “Automatically EXPORT Cache to Folders When Possible” does not exist, and the two cache filesmentioned above are not created.  Instead there is a preference to “Automatically IMPORT Cache from Folders When Possible.”  Also, the option under theTools menu now says Manage Cache with a choice to “Build and export cache for folder ‘name’ and all enclosed folders.”  This results in a new folder nam

This Bridge CC has a glitch.  I save my images, which are mostly species in folders and subfolders, according to their relationship, like a phylogenetic tree. For years, in all other Bridges, when I have gotten IDs of insects farther than what I had before, I move to a more specific folder, genus or species, from parent family folder.  Now whenever I move a group of files, it stops on a jpg and says it already exists and asks to autoresolve.  If I choose this, it moves some files and then says some files were not moved and trying again stops at the next jpeg.  If instead of autoresolving, I choose cancel, then it moves them.  I tried replace instead and found that the jpeg gets deleted, not moved.  Why can't it just move a whole batch of files, without repeatedly stopping and possibly losing files?

Hello. To view JPEGs in Bridge I prefer the Filmstrip (right pane) in Vertical Layout with 1 column of images. If, for example, I view these JPEGs in Essentials and then switch back to Filmstrip it is always in 2 columns of JPEGs. I can adjust this to 1 column by increasing the size of the JPEGs using the slider at the bottom right corner. The problem is that this 1-column view is never saved; every time I leave Filmstrip and return the JPEGs are always in 2 columns. Is there a way to save the 1-column view? (I have CC 2019 using Windows 7 Pro.) Thank you.

Using Bridge v9.0.2.219.x64 for iPhone 8+ using iOS12.1.2 on Windows 10.Bridge shows my iPhone and photo & movie files but all are listed as 0 bytes and no valid previews are shown. I have followed steps shown elsewhere to reset preferences and clear the cache, and tried software rendering. All make no difference whatsoever.Windows File Explorer sees and imports the files, no problem. How do I fix Bridge to do the same?And that being the case, what is the point of Bridge anyway?

Why am i getting this warning when opening Bridge 2019. I have to click "cancel" about 3 or 4 times before i can proceed.

Bonjour,j'ai contacté le support Adobe suite à des blocages ou des lenteurs de Bridge dont je me sers quotidiennement.Ils m'ont indiqué de créer un nouveau compte utilisateur pour solutionner ces problèmes.Ce que j'ai fait (et même auparavant réinstallé le système d'exploitation complet) ; malgré cela Bridge est redevenu à l'usage aussi lent qu’avant.Je suis allé sur la page d’aide concernant les blocages de Bridge (https://helpx.adobe.com/fr/bridge/kb/troubleshoot-errors-freezes-bridge.html) et j’ai réinitialisé les paramètres, le cache etc… (Commande + Option + Maj)J’ai également supprimé le panneau des dossiers (pas celui des aperçu dont j’ai besoin le plus).Bridge fonctionne de manière réactive au début puis très très vite le logiciel devient lent avec la petite roue qui tourne à chaque action, même quand il s’agit de faire une chose aussi simple que de passer d’un dossier à un autre, changer la taille des vignettes, faire apparaitre ou disparaître les titres etc...Je mets en pièce

Hi y'all,This question stems from my finding that when I take burst photos on my GH5 I create an Mp4.  Unfortunately, the exif data isn't displayed in the metadata view for MP4's.  I'm primarily interested in fnumber, ISO, white balance, and color profile (V-Log, Standard, Portrait etc.).  I would actually like to keep using burst and would like to view exif data for photos I already have taken.I was able to download and install Phil Harvey's ExifTool, and also successfully installed and used pyExifToolGUI to obtain the embedded exif data.  Now I have this output csv that looks like it has everything I want.  However, even after combing through these forums I'm having a hard time figuring out the best way to import these values.I installed the VRA Core Metadata Script in an attempt to import metadata, but I can't see a field that reflects the aforementioned fstop/fnumber, ISO, white balance, and color profile values.  Is there any way I can use the spreads

Hi, I have found some discussions on setting the Bridge Cache—referring to the Cache Management, but not the Bridge "Media Cache". I have version 9.0.2.219 installed on a Macbook Pro (High Sierra 10.13.6). Through the Preferences > Cache Management, I can select a location and it works. From preferences > Media Cache, I can also select a location, only the location selected in the popup selection box is not being passed through to the select location function as it does with the Cache Management function, so effectively I am not able to provide it with my desired location. The desired location is still on a local drive partition. Is anybody else having this problem?

Is there a way to select images with duplicate file names in Bridge. I have all of my RAW and Backup Duplicate JPEGS in two separate folders. I cull the jpeg images and typically I would match each bad image with the corresponding bad RAW file. I need both the RAW and JPEGs to be culled and I am seeking an easier method of doing so. IS it possible to have the bad JPEGs in the same folder with all my RAW files and select only images with a duplicate file name in the said folder? I would think there would be a "sort by" duplicate file names only or something for speedy sorting. Please help direct me in a faster approach to doing this.

Congrats to Adobe, I'm with Bridge from beginning. It's always been my go to 1st place to upload and look at images. 2019 is first blazing fast version.Great.. of course, for those smarter than me, I'm not that technical, curious, what did they do to achieve it, and why did it take so long?It's been agony for speed up till now. (which did first Bridge come out?)
