Lately when I've been rendering directly from AE to AME, the renders finish as if normally, but when I go to play them back large chunks of the end of the render are missing. (Yes, I have in and out points set correctly in both my AE comps and in AME.) When I render from AE render queue I don't get this issue. This is extremely annoying for many reasons, one of which is that in order to make all the formats NOT supported anymore in AE (MXF, H264 etc etc) I have to use AME. Even when I pre-render from AE and then try to use AME to encode to other formats, it still happens. Quitting and restarting helps one out of two times. Adobe no longer seems to care about making tools that professionals can rely on.
For months it would fail to write the XML data, now it's writing extra .M4V files and freezing mid-render. No problem output from within Premiere, I'm giving up on AME.
When I export a video 9x16 (1080x1920) from premiere via Media Encoder I end up with a video looking like the one attached. The image is pushed to the upper half of the frame and the lower half display a green square. This doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes restarting the programme helps but more often than not I get the bug. I need to export a big batch of files so being forced to redo it over and over until it works is to time consuming. The same bug shows up when exporting vertical files from After Effects. Other formats that I've tried (1080x1080, 1920x1080 etc) works fine. ME version 22.6.1AE version 22.6.0Premiere 22.6.2 Thankfull for any help!/Daniel
Media Encoder is really struggling to render videos for a project I am trying to finish. All short videos (30 secs - 2 mins) and have some dynamic linked AE comps in the sequences for lower thirds and end cards (nothing too intense!). It'll get a couple of mins in and then stall - the time elapsed stops moving, as well as the time remaining. I have tried clearing the cache from PP, AE and ME, which has worked before, but not this time. I have also tried restarting apps and computer, etc. but this is an ongoing issue every time I try to export. I am using my Macbook M1 Max 2021 64GB. Monterey 12.6. Adobe CC apps are all up to date. It works better exporting directly from Premiere, but I have 21 videos to export, and I really should be able to queue them up in the software designed for it... What have I missed? Thanks!
In Media Encoder 2022 (the latest version) on Mac Mini running macOS Monterey, I am trying to render a 30 minute video exporting to H.264 format. The rendering has taken 76 hours, and says there is an estimated 43 hours left. The amount of estimated time left to render keeps going UP, not down. It was saying it would only take 10 hours a few days ago. PLEASE HELP! I need to render this video. I hate that I'm paying for software that doesn't even work.
I have dealt with a very frustrating error for the past three days. I am trying to export a 50 minute video in H.264 4k from a Mac Book Pro M1.After the export, there is very audible popping noises starting in the video at around the 35 minute mark. These popping noises are not clipping and seem to happen randomly and they are in stereo (separately popping noises are randomly happening on the L/R channels). They are definitely not happening in the Audio file (I checked, recoded and even remixed the file numerous times). The popping noises even happen when I am only exporting the specific sections of the timeline (but are only Audible after the exporting to H.264 or MPEG 2). Exporting these sections as ProRes seems to "work". I need a H.264 4k and ProRes is not an option.System:MacBook Pro (M1, 2020) / MacOS Monterey 12.6 (21G115) - Error also showed in 12.5After Effects 22.6 + the recent BetaMedia Encoder 22.6.1 + 15.4.5 + the recent BetaAfter all troubleshooting the file is now as simp

hi guys, i imported a MOV file and wanted to convert it to MP4 and then i see that it is inverted 😕😕 anyone knows why?
I dont even know what to say adobe. I have a literal 3 second clip I've been trying to export for the past hour. Not exaggerating. I have to use this product for class and I cannot complete full projects let alone a 3 second clip. This is unacceptable.

Media Encoder has always been solid and reliable for me for many years, but recent versions (since the new interface) have been very problematic and buggy.1. Importing sequences from Prem takes 10 times longer than it used to. Even just dropping a clip directly into ME can take a minute or two to load. We create TV commercials which are rarely longer than 60 seconds, so having to wait minutes to load a sequence seems absurd and not an issue we experienced on older versions. 2. Subtitles randomly don't burn in despite having set them to do so. I've not found any consistant way of replicating this, it just doesn't work sometimes and I have to repeat actions until it does it successfully. 3. The Send to Media Encoder in premiere often does nothing and I have to repeat the same action until it responds. This can often take two or three attempts before it starts sending them to encoder. It's nothing to do with how long I wait after hitting Send, it either starts the pr
I'm using Extendscript to send a portion of a sequence from Premiere to be encoded. Using the code below (straight from Adobe's sample code), AME has the correct In/Out points set, but the "Source Range" is set to "Work Area" instead of "Sequence In/Out". var jobID_InToOut = app.encoder.encodeSequence(seq, outputFileNameInToOut, presetPath, app.encoder.ENCODE_IN_TO_OUT, removeUponCompletion, startQueueImmediately); Premiere 22.5.0AME 22.5
I came across an issue, where Media Encoder doesnt render my motion preset properly. I designed an intro and outro in After Effects. Both have Gaussian Blur effect in them. Importing into Premiere Pro works fine. The assets display and behave as intended. If I export within Premiere Pro, the final output is correct. If I attempt exporting with AME, the blur is ignorred completely. The blur was controlled via a slider inside After Effects. This Value of a slider was not honored by AME. Is there a reason for such behaviour? Bug or Feature?
I'm currenlty on AME 23.1x1, and this version (as well as the previouys version) ALWAYS crashes as soon as I start an encode.1. Load up AME2. Drag a ProRes QuickTime into it3. Apply the poreset "H.264 - match source"4. Click on the preset to adjust it5. Turn off the 'export audio' checkbox6. Click OK7. Crash - every timeWorkaround - use an older (2022 or 2021 release) version - they work fine.
Hello guys.I've been having this problem for over a month now, and I avoided asking here for a long time because I thought it was something temporary, since this problem doesn't make any sense with everything I've learned about rendering and video so far.I edit some videos directly in After Effects and then send them to Media Encoder. It was always ok, until a month ago it started not working so well anymore.Basically, when I click to render, the rendering process starts, but soon it gets kind of stuck, not moving. No error messages or anything, it just stays still and the estimated time to finish rendering is stopped or increasing. To make everything more confusing, the render restarts normally if I start using the computer, open youtube, put some video to play, and keep repeating these steps. When I do that, the noise of the computer rendering even increases and the render starts moving again, you can even follow the progress through the Media Encoder. What I've learned is
If I uncheck "increment output file name if file with same name exists" ME will always fail the render.I tested this while sending comps to render via AE. There's a thread that I contributed to try to find the reason but no aveil so far:Adobe Community
I made an abstract animated piece in after effects, but when i went to render it, my video contained some frames with weird sharp triangles that weren't supposed to be there.I had my friend render the same project (their PC has better specs than mine, and renders a lot faster), and the same triangles appeared, but in different locations and on different frames. When I render a PNG sequence with AME, they are also there, but when rendering a PNG sequence from After Effects' built-in renderer, they don't have these weird triangles...attached are:- ame-render.png: the frame as rendered by media encoder- ae-render.png: the frame as rendered by after effects' built-in renderer- difference.png: both frames overlayed with the "difference" blend mode, to accentuate the weird triangles.I was using some noise effects which had different seeds in both renders so the difference other than the triangles, isn't fully black, but they are visible enough.
Hi, After updating the Media Encoder to the latest update (version Version 22.6), it stopped working. It gets stuck at "Reading XMP" or sometimes doesn't even show anything. My PC is a high-end workstation (RTX 3090, i9 CPU, 64 GB RAM etc), so it is not from my PC. Nothing changed on my pc since before update either. Please don't break the software with such updates. Paying customers suffer because of this. Looking forward to a new update that fixes this. Thanks!
I just made some proxies in Premier with Adobe media encoder 22.6. I interpreted the footage in Premiere from 60p to 24P. Then I made proxies. When I toggle the proxies on and off it doesn't sync still. I thought this issue was resolved with the latest update. I also still can't interpret the proxies in adobe media encoder like how are used too.
Hello, Just started a new project and imported all my footage in Premiere. AME is hanging / wheel of death / freezes while creating simple Medium Pro Res proxies from Canon 4k footage. I tried multiple times. - It's slow when Premiere Pro sends the files to AME and creates the queue - The encoding starts and then freezes less than a third into the queueMacBook Pro 20182.9 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i9Ram: 32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4Graphics: Radeon Pro Vega 20 4 GB- Canon R5 and 5D mark IV 4k clips to Medium Pro Res Proxies- Footage is on SSD drives- Using Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (Metal) because it's faster - 29 GB of RAM is dedicated to Adobe softwareThis is severely slowing me down, not a happy camper. What's going on Adobe? And no I am not buying a M1 MacBook, this used to work perfectly. Please help.
