I'm not seeing the track matte option on the timeline layer menu. I'm seeing a duplication of the parenting option. 

So there's an ongoing bug where .Mogrt files that I output from After Effects do not show the proper transparency inside Premiere unless I uncheck "Composite in Linear Color" in the sequence settings. Is there something I need to check in my project file so transparency works properly? I don't want to have to tell every editor to change this setting when they use my .Mogrts.

For example, when you hit A on the keyboard to reveal anchor point proprieties for all the layers on the timeline and then press A again to hide the proprieties, AE freezes for a few seconds, the latest AE beta. it works ok in the latest version of AE. 

I've just loaded up a project I'd previously been working on in a previous version of AE Beta, and bizarrely, two of my video layers are being treated as audio files:There is no eyeball to switch on the layer's visibility.If I open the layer to view it, there is no video to view. But if I open the source file in the Project (in AE) it plays back perfectly. If I drag the footage to the New Comp icon, the new comp opens as usual, and the footage is in the comp, but it's the same story - no eyeball to switch on. I shall transcode the file to something else and see if that helps. Yes, it did - I converted it to a ProRes422, replaced it and it now works. Odd.

Bonjour,J'avais installé After Effect Beta, qui fonctionnait parfaitement bien. Mais en faisant la mise à jour récemment, il n'a plus fonctionné. J'ai donc désinstallé, et tenté de ré-installer à plusieurs reprises, mais l'installation échoue à chaque fois peu avant 90%.Il y a des projets pros que j'ai créés avec After Effect Beta, il est indispensable que je puisse travailler de nouveau avec la version Beta.Auriez-vous une solution à m'apporter ?Un grand merci !

The comp "Demo" which contains an essential graphics instance is not usable due to extremely slow rendertimes, whereas the subcomp "MultiStyleTextLine" renders quite fast. I often had the feeling that essential graphics comp instances render very slow, but this exagerates it to a point where it is not possible to work with it in a template project anymore.  Tested in AE 22.6.0 Build 33AE 22.5.0.Build 53both with the same result.  It would be great to know what causes this slowdown and how we can optimize the comp. Best regards,Markus

When you first press a hotkey to acess the properties of a layer, the program freezes for one or two seconds before showing the requested property instead of showing them instantly. Every time I try to change the name of a folder or composition, the app hangs on me. Also does it when I try to 'restore unrenderedd' dynamic link clips.

If you set the stroke width for a layer first that has a “None” stroke color applied and then set the stroke color, the stroke width is not acknowledged. If you deselect and select the layer again the stroke width is even reset to the default value that was set before the change. All the best, René

I'm not sure if it's only 3rd party plugins, but yesterday when I was using Mocha AE, when I tried to select the target layer to apply the track to, I could click on the pop-up menu to select the layer, but as soon as I released the mouse button/menu, the selection went back to being empty. Today, when using Deep Glow, I'm trying to select a layer to sue as a mask, and I get the same problem. If I open the same project in AE2022 (public release 22.4.0 Build 56) it works OK.

I wanted to toggle "Show layer controls" but it wasn't working neither from the view menu nor with the keyboard shortcut. I restarted AE and it started to work again

Aparentemente a ferramenta de animação para textos está com bug. Não consigo entender a mudança. Tento alterar Ramp Up ou Ramp Down, mas não funciona como na versão full. Coloco algo e não pega, não funciona.

the Advanced Spill Suppressor is missing controls and menu items in the Effects Control panel and doesn't funtion properly in this new Beta release (25.5.0 build 43)

This has been a bug since Apple introduced dark mode. When importing, we get a light import window, even though the system is set to dark mode. There's something else wrong with this window as well, using a Wacom pen it doesn't scroll up and down, it activates quick look. I have my Wacom pens top button assiged to scroll, works everywhere else.

Steps to reproduce:    1. Pick-whip a track matte2. Do a ctrl-Z Result:Track matte remains assigned, no matter how many undos I do. I was trying to add a timer overlay using After Effects using Dynamic Link and Premiere Pro, which I could do fine in the non-beta versions of the respective programs. But for some reason using both the beta versions of both programs, the linked .MP4 file from Premiere Pro in After Effects takes much much longer to render. The render time (just to view in the timeline) displayed anything between 150ms to 350ms. Playback would often result in a 0.3 second segment of the video to loop and repeat over and over. Version: After Effects Beta 23.0OS: Windows 11Steps to reproduce the problem: Open a Premiere Pro project, and select "Replace with After Effects Composition", and open the linked project in After Effects.Expected result: Way better playback speeds, no "Low memory" message.

I am simply clicking update on the Adobe Creative Cloud as I normally would to update software to get this error.I have tried deleting stored info, CCX processes and surrounding folders, deleting all old app info, but to no avail. Yesterday I wanted to update Adobe After Effects (beta), but the installation failed. It also uninstalled the old version. I uninstalled the whole Adobe Creative Cloud, and installed it again, but it (the AE Beta version install) still fails.Attached is the error log.I could work with the normal version of After Effects, but then my files won't open and I have to start all over.What can I do? Anybody else experiencing this problem?

With the release of the Beta v23.x there is the ability to pickwhip track mattes now (which is awesome)However, when I copy pasted a selection of layers into a new comp with all sorts of track mattes, all of the layers came over in the correct order and were parented correctly (as expected), however nothing was linked anymore with track mattes.What's weird is when re-linking the track mattes, it did retain if it was an alpha or luma matte and if it was inverted or not.. so some of the information is retained while the physical link is broken.

Hi, i am using the beta specifically for a project taking advantage of the new Track Matte feature as i have a ton of layers.Unfortunately, i just tried to parent 4-5 layers Track Matte to another layer with the pick whip for the track mattes but it only link the first selected layer. as opposed to normal parenting, which lets you parent all selected layers in one drag of the pick whip. This is a must as after pick whipping all my layers one by one, i realized i track matted it to the wrong layer, and had to do them all again, one - by - one.This would be a nice fix to have soon, Thanks! 🙂

Ctrl + Alt + Home is not working for the Center Anchor Point in Layer Content.I've tried changing out the shortcut to different keybinds but nothing seems to be working besides manually eyeballing it. Shapes seem to be the only thing that work with the shortcut but when it comes to masks, it no longer works. I've tested on solids, adjustment layers, footage, as well as nested compositions.

There is a bug happening on shutdown in AE 23.0 beta builds that might cause AE to crash on startup the next time you run AE. If that happens, please delete your beta preferences. You can do that by:   Windows: Navigate to C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\After Effects (Beta) and deleting the 23.0 folder.  MacOS: Navigate to \Users\{username}\Library\Preferences\Adobe\After Effects (Beta) and deleting the 23.0 folder.    The preferences will be recreated on the next start up of After Effects. Please post back if you continue to have issues with AE startup after performing these steps.
