Pretty simple, as the title emplies. In the properties panel the link chain is blue and can't be clicked and unlinked. sometimes it does nothing sometimes an error pops up. Hoping this is an easy fix.. Good Luck 🙂
Lagging Interface in AE Beta 22.3.0 Build 62Getting stuttering / lagging from the interface itself when trying to scrub through my comps. (not an issue in other versions) As opposed to delayed previews, the actual current time indicator, and really any interface action is just lagging every few moments. I even tried an empty comp, literally nothing in it, same problem. Click on the timeline, wait a moment, app catches up. Scrubs ok for a second, then hangs up. Setting and out point, adding a shape layer, all basic functions seem to be included in the list of laggable offenses.
Scrolling the properties panel is significantly slower than scrolling anywhere else. The scrollbar size also seems to be different.I also find text in this panel to render slightly differently than in any other panel.People also mentioned how using it to set values is slower than in the timeline (feels stuttery) and mentioned how a dual screen setup can cause this, which I am using.I am not sure what's going on behind the scenes but just to let you know, it shows that this panel does not feel well integrated, but the biggest issue is how values are slower to update. Thank you for the hard work. 🙂
Steps to reproduce: 1.Open a new comp2. From anywhere under the timeline ruler start a selection and drag the mouse upwards.
Steps to reproduce: 1. Render to 1080p Avid DnxHD LB-8bit. 2. Do the same render in AE v22.1.1 or previous AE beta v22.3.0.2#Result: The rendered movie doesn't open in Quicktime Player or Avid Media Composer. File icon is not correct, it's a generic Mov icon without the thumbnail. Compare with the same comp rendered with AE v22.1.1 (see the screenshot). System info Application: After Effects (Beta) v22.3.0.39 OS: macOS v12.1.0, RAM: 64,00 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 10
In v22.2 (as in all previous versions) the order in which you select layers before copying or cutting, has a bearing on the order in which they appear when pasted i.e. 1st selected layer is at the top of the pasted stack, last selected layer is at the bottom. This provides a quick and convenient way of reversing the order of layers in the composition, or even arranging in arbitrary order, if you use non-contiguous selections. In v22.3 build 90 this behaviour is gone (it may have gone earlier). Now, pasted layers maintain the order they were in when copied/cut, regardless of the order in which they were selected. This is bad. Please restore the previous behaviour.
Normally, the order in which I select the layers dictates the sequencing when I do a Keyframe Assistant > Sequence Layers, but in AE 22.2.0x105 (Beta), it always sequences them starting with the top layer, ending with the bottom layer, regardless of the selection order.
Suffering from huge memory leak when using After Effects.Mac OS Monterey 12.1M1 Max 64 gb
Steps to reproduce: 1. Immediately upon opening the app the viewer will show the frame the playhead is on. Once the blue text boxes appear to highlight the updates being added to AE - the viewer stops responding. If I change comps, the viewer is blank. Same gray as the UI. System info Application: After Effects (Beta) v22.3.0.72 OS: macOS v12.2.1, RAM: 64.00 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 10
Thank you for the hard work on this, things keep getting better. This build doesnt work - after upgrading it wouldn't open. After deleteding twice and trashing prefrences - It now crashes with in minutes of opening my proj.os x 10.15.7 maxed out 2017 imac pro
I thought I was going crazy, but this must be a bug.In the after effects beta - with a custom layout - I am losing my timline panel - and there is not an option to reopen it.Every time i choose my custom layout i lose the timeline and there is no menu option to re open it.This seems to have started when i accidently saved over the default layout when trying to restore the default layout. I had to delete the beta and re install to get the default settings to reset. I think my settings were also syncing to creative cloud so there was a feedback loop keeping me from fully resetting them. I've lost track of the details - but ive fully lost the default layout, and when i choose the all windows layout - i have this same issue losing the timeline panel and no way to restore it.
Title says it all, how annoying to have to move the playhead so that I see the change I just made in my comp 😞 (except holding right mouse button on something and moving it around). I hope I can help by pointing this out !
After recent update the AE Beta is noticably less responsive and hard to work with. While jumping frame by frame or by changing the effects on the layer, the preview stays frozen with no indicator that the AE is rendering a frame. To see the updated frame I have to move the time scrubber by hand. Also the composition names don't change while moving from comp to comp.
In the latest Beta of AE (21.3 updated 02/03/22) the contextual menu for Keyframe Assistant is missing thje arrow to the Ease Ease, Easy Out, etc. This is what it's supposed to look like- second contextual menu is missing
have not worked out when this happens, but some times can not change layer label color. Option is greyed out.this happened after doing scene detect / split layer restarting ae "fixes" it ..os x 10.15.7beta 22.3 built 49
Hi Adobe. Before to add new features, can you please take the time to plan a fix for the heavy 3D layers lagging?Working with 3D layers has become extremely difficult, indeed impossible (video attached). And, to be honest, the general dragging performace of any AE item has become very poor compared to older AE versions. I use AE since V 3.0, so I know what i'm talking about. To pay to get this performance it's not acceptable in 2022.Thanks
When right-clicking the keyframes the menu "keyframe assistant" is absent. Well, the name is there but no arrow and clicking on it does nothing.

I have a precomp which contains a few layers in it, some with transfer modes like Multiply. In my 'main' comp, the precomp layer is set to Continuously Rasterize, and the transfer modes of the layers inside the precomp are rendering correctly in the main comp. However, if you add any Expression Control to the precomp layer, immediately the render changes as if all the transfer modes inside the precomp were set to Normal. It's still re-rasterizing the precomp after transforms, but the 'Quality and Sampling' switch changes from a - to / and the composited results are incorrect. To duplicate:1. Create a comp (we'll call it PreComp) and draw a red square; set it to Multiply and turn the opacity down a bit for fun2. Create another comp (we'll call it MainComp) and draw a light blue shape over the whole canvas3. Drag the PreComp layer in over the blue layer, set it to Continuously Rasterize, and note the visual result4. Add a Slider Control to the PreComp layer, and note insta
