Photoshop Pattern Preview has bugs when rotating objects that need resolving - it makes it a lot of extra work to rotate and super difficult. 

After writing a certain number of characters in a text box, Photoshop will start printing one word per line instead of continuing to write text like normal. This consistently happens after ~32767 characters have been printed; likely this is related to the usage of 16-bit signed integers in Photoshop. I just updated photoshop to 25 to the newest version and found a bug on the layer mask icon in the layer panel.     I have Ventura 13.4.1 running on an intel imac 

I can't find anyone else online mentioning this so either no one else does this, or I'm the only one on the planet with the bug (on two separate computers). It only started after version 22.x. I still use 22 at work and refuse to upgrade because I run into this bug so often. I use the latest version when I work from home as a "test" to see if this will somehow get fixed. It's still there two years later. Ugh.   Here's the scenario: I have my move tool selected and use CTRL T to scale a layer. Sometimes the layer is too big for me to see the handles, so I click on the aspect ratio link (arrow) and then drag the W (circle) to the left to scale the image down to where I can see the handles.        I let go of the mouse button when the image is at the scale I desire, and then I click on the image to move it to the proper location -- but the move tool NEVER works on the first click after scaling this way. I had been using Preserve Details 2.0 with success for a number of years until the last few Photoshop updates. Under Photoshop/Settings/Technology Previews, Enable Preserve Details 2.0 Upscale is turned on with a check mark. In the menu Image/Image Size, with Resample checked on, Preserve Details 2.0 is available, but does not interpolate a file up (enlarge) as it should, but looks like Bicubic. This happens with all 8 bit RGB or CMYK files. Has this tool been recalled? I’m currently using a Mac Studio 2022 on Ventura 13.4.1, and using Photoshop 24.6.0. But Preserve Details 2.0 also stopped working on older Monterey OS iMacs (64 Gb Ram, 2019) 27" 4.2 i7 Quad-core. It has stopped working on all similar computers in our office studio.

The pc shortcut to quickly change the brush size and hardness on the pc is very counter-intuitive. Is there any way to change this to ctrl+alt as it is in Mac. This works so much better.I have looked in Keyboard Shortcuts and it just seems to give they option to change the [ ] and {} shortcuts.

Due to the new feature to zoom to a layer's contents in Photoshop v21.0.0, it now conflicts with the feature to auto-collapse or expand all of a group's folders by Alt-Clicking on the arrow next to the folder icon. Now, it still does the action, but while zooming into the group at the same time. I like the new feature, but it should only work when alt-clicking on any other part of the layer.This zoom feature also always stacked like it does now on all layers when the arrow next to Artboard layers were alt-clicked in previous versions. It would zoom and collapse layers under it.

Whenever artboards are made in Photoshop, the crop tool no longer works. I made a document with about 5 artboards and I needed to crop a selection for a moment that I would undo shortly after. However every time I select the Crop Tool I instead get the Artboard Tool.

It is highlighted, yes, but it forces me to grab a mouse, point it and click it in place of quick and good ol' "Enter".Just a little insignificant detail but it really can be annoying...I'm on MacOS, but it seems it's the same on Windows.Any chances to do something with it?BestM

Well ... that wasn't something I ever expected or have ever seen. Was using Photoshop 2024 v 25.0.0 just this morning no problem with macOS 14.0.1. Updated to macOS 14.1 this afternoon, and now the top half of the toolbar clicks THROUGH the toolbar into the Finder. What? The bottom half of the toolbar works as usual. I've turned off most of the toolbar and tool prefs & that does nothing. Did a bunch of Interweb searches ... nothing relevent yet.   This is pretty new Photoshop behaviour ... wondering if anyone else has run into this yet.   Any ideas?   I could temporarily move all the most used tools to the bottom half of the toolbar. Though all the tools can be chosen by keyboard commands ... just can't click on those tools in the bar.   Color me perplexed. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯   

Adobe, why does my brush panel keep reverting to default? I can't tell what's causing it, but I keep having to reload my brush packs. Not a problem in CC2018, same machine specs.(And just because I'm here again. Please fix that aweful new smaller hitspot when you Transform. It sucks so bad. Release a patch or a 19.1. Legacy Transform please!!!)

This is Photoshop 22.1.0, on macOS Big Sur 11.0.1, on a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016) with Radeon Pro 460 4 GB / Intel HD Graphics 530 1536 MB.   If I resize a Photoshop window across multiple monitors, at a certain point most of the image disappears. Then if I keep making the window bigger, I see two copies of the right edge of the image, with a big gap in between.   Here's a screenshot showing what happens as I increase the size of the Photoshop window across two 2560x1600 monitors.     For what it's worth, the bug seems to depend on the size of the image area: if I expand panels to take up more horizontal space, I can make the window wider before the image cuts out. The maximum width before the image cuts out also seems to depend on the horizontal monitor resolution: if the monitors are rotated from landscape to portrait mode, where it's more common to size windows across multiple monitors, the image cuts out at a narrower width.   This seems to be pretty e

Under the "learn" tab, under "photo retouching" (and possibly others), there are several tutorials, like how to remove objects and layer images and all that. On several of these, when it prompts you to click next to continue, the next button does not appear, and if you click on the learn tab to access it, you can see the button is there but the tutorial will immediately switch back. Not a huge problem, but annoying as the tutorials are otherwise really helpful and I'd like to actually use them!Currently running most up-to-date versions of Windows 10 and Photoshop.

Dear all -  Somehow I have lost the ability to use Symbol fonts in the Photoshop. The name "Symbol" is still in the drop-down menu, but all I get is squares instead of letters. Operating system is Windows10, 64-bit if that helps. Please advise, MT

When trying to sign in to https://community.adobe.com/ an error message displays. "You are not allowed access to this site" (403 forbidden) and it then usually changes to "An Unexpected error has occurred." This only occurs with specific email accounts - not all.

Beim Arbeiten mit der aktuellen Photoshop-Version hängt sich Photoshop nach kürzester Zeit auf, d.h. die Bedienoberfläche und Menüs verschwinden und ein speichern ist nicht möglich. Hello, I'm having an issue where I'm getting  this message every time I click custom under Content-Aware fill:   Could not fill because there are not enough remaining pixels to fill the hole.  The change cannot be applied.   This is just one layer, a 45 megapixel size photo, the brush size is just 50 pixels, the selection size is a 600x600 square. Auto and Rectangular work fine. This feature works on my Windows PC but not my Macbook Pro M1 16". Thanks in advance!

Hi,  I've just updating Photoshop versión to 23.0.2 and the Mac Os to Monterey. I've an issue with the cropping image tool. When i choose it, the image become all grey, without the any posibility to use it. The issue disapear if i choose any other tool. How can i resolve it ?  

Two images open. Eye dropper tool. Info pallet reads image that has the focus. If you click and hold on the other image to get a reading Photoshop freezes. Happens every time. Tested on two Apple computers. Photoshop 21.1.0 OS X 10.14.6

I have been trying to work on a keyframe painting this evening on Photoshop for my iPad, but I cannot because after this new update, of which I was given no warning, Photoshop continues to crash and won't save any progress I have made. It has crashed three times so far and I have not been given the option of the crash report dialog box after any of them. Please answer urgently, my employment literally depends on this device.

No idea for a title that better describes the issue.   If I'm in PS and I press the shortcut for a 'brush' type tool (dodge/ burn/ brush/ clone etc), when the brush of that tool is large enough to touch the edge of the screen (in the used zoom setting), PS instantly switches back to the previous tool. Not every time, but often enough to be very annoying.   "Solution" in that case is to either zoom out, or press caps-lock (so you don't preview brush size).   AFAIK, this issue has existed since at least Photoshop CS6.   PS CC 24.1.0, OSX 12.6.1 on a MacStudio (before that it also happeneed since PS CS6 on a MacPro and previous versions OSX).

If I have a rectangle Live Shape with round corners and use the direct selection tool to select the anchors point to one size only, when I move them using the shift key, the entire rectangle is moved, instead of only the side I had selected. Same issue, if I use the arrows keys on computer to fine-tune the positions of it. Tell me it’s a know issue and not as designed.That’s why I asked if there is a way to turn off Live Shape. 

I use Photoshop to color architectural drawings, exported from AutoCAD as PDF-files. I usually choose the 'open as smart object' with the crop-to-media setting to import the drawing in the correct scale. Lately, when i do this, Photoshop opens the smartobject scaled and distorted in the wrong canvas-size, which poses a huge problem for the drawing-scale if not discovered before the graphic work has been executed. Is this a bug, or is there a work-around?
