The new Export As gives bad results for PNG (8-bit) when reducing the color palette. This is most visible in gradients. Tested on Photoshop v23.0.0 on Windows 10.   Workaround: Enable Legacy Export As in Preferences.   Steps to reproduce problem: Create a new image Make a gradient using the Blue_24 preset (or similar, but that's the one I used). File > Export > Export As... Choose PNG, and "Smaller File (8-bit)" Result: You get a few lines through the gradient that are too bright or dark. Not good. Result if using Legacy Export As (or Save for Web): A smooth-looking gradient as expected.   Full resolution/lossless screenshots attached to this post.

After latest update Photoshop 21.1.0 hangs while trying to use the Shawdows/Highlights tool. Spinning beachball appears and you have to Force Quit the app. Happens everytime.

Avec Photoshop v.24.6.0 installée il y a quelques jours sur mon PC (Windows 11 Home), je ne peux plus valider mes recadrages car le bouton de validation (le 3ème bouton) a mystérieusement disparu. Les deux autres boutons apparaissement partiellement. J'ai désinstallé la v.24.6.0 et réinstallé la v.24.5.0 et l'outil recadrage fonctionne parfaitement.

I found a repeatable error when testing at the extreme limits of the Content Aware Crop feature.  I created a 2 pixel wide by one pixel tall image.  Filled in both pixels with a color and attempted to crop out with content aware enabled. This consistently gave me an error of Error 1244 - Illegal Argument, this error does not crash the program entirely and does not block the feature from being used in my testing.

This has been happening more and more lately with the recent updates. Refine edge tool in the mask filter crashes PS. Full stop, full crash... beach ball of death. Is anyone else having this problem? Is Adobe aware?

When I make PSD file in Photoshop 23 with gradient map adjustment layer and then place into Indesign, adjustment layer is ignored.   When I open same PSD file in Photoshop 22, gradient map adjustment layer is broken (discarded as uknown data).  

Hi, is there anyone with MacOS Monterey using Adobe apps and non-English keyboard?   After upgrade to Monterey the vast majority of shortcuts stopped working for me -- almost everything including Shift / Alt and special symbols, which are different on English and Czech keyboard, which I am using. I work in Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and XD. The problem occurs in all of them.   I am absolutely frustrated because I am a shortcuts-freak. I found a partial solution – it is possible to manually add all shortcuts for any specific app – but sorry, it is really time consuming and temporary (I use more devices, so that if would be neccessary to set it up on every devices). I will be glad for any tip to re-enable all shortcuts that worked for me for many years.I currently use MacBook Pro 16'' Intel i9 (2019), everything is up to date.

Basta clicar no ícone da ferramenta de seleção para o windwos reiniciar! Estou com a versão mais atual do driver da Nvidia, ultima versão do photoshop 24.5 e o problema é irritante! Não consigo trabalhar de forma alguma, o computador simplesmente reinicia! Isso não pode acontecer, já mudei de placa de video, achando que era a minha placa, mas não é, mudei, fonte, mudei memórias e simplesmente ao instalar a versão 22.2 o problema desapareceu! Ou sejá a ultima vesão do Photoshop causa esse problema na minha CPU com RTX 3060 TI. E agora o que faço para resolver esse problema?

This is more annoying than life threatening, and maybe I am missing something.  Until recently we could open the New Document panel, which already have the pixel size of the image you had copied to the clipboard, and hit the enter key to OK it.  That doesn't work now.  Even though the Create button is blue, it is not active.  You can hover over Create with the mouse to make it active, but you might as well left click to OK it if you have done that.  You can hit the Tab key 20 times (yes, I actually counted).  You only need to hit Shift Tab three times to work backwards to the Create button, but It's still quicker to use the mouse.   It's a small thing, but it's annoying. This is happening with beta and full release versions, and with today's micro-updates.   If I am missing something, please tell me.  If it is also annoying you, please add to this thread to let the Development Team know.

We used to be able to drag and move layer styles like drop shadows and gradients to reposition them when the layer styles window was open. This doesn't work anymore in Photoshop 2020. IS this intentional, reversible, or a bug. Thanks.

Ps 24.5 (and beta) has been crashing when I select the new Remove Tool, then select another Healing tool and finally do a long click to change the tool again.   See the attached video where I create a new empty document, hover over the Remove Tool, then long click to reveal the other tools and click to select the Spot Healing Brush Tool. Next, I hover over the Spot Healing Brush Tool for a brief moment before a long click again - crash! Happens every single time.   If I never select the Remove Tool, then Ps doesn't crash when changing beween the other healing tools.   After reading some of the posts about crashes associated with the Remove Tool, my situation seemed different. I tried some of the usual 'fixes', but the only Preference that fixed the problem was turning off the GPU support.   Since I had updated my NVIDIA GPU driver to the latest Studio Driver 535.98 about a week ago, I decided to go back to the previous driver 531.61. That has solved the problem.

I installed my new Graphic Card AMD Radeon Pro W6800X along with my W5700X and RX 6900XT. But this is where the nightmare fall down on me. I can open Photoshop but soon as I open a photo or create a new file, it just crushed till I turned off using GPU. I am now no where to use my GPU. Is it a bug or somthing wrong with my machine ? I even tried unstalling Photoshop and reinstalled but same. I go through all the trouble of building Spot Channels and Photoshop doesn't always save them. I have to do "save as" and make sure the "Save Spot Channels" box is checked. Which sometimes it is- but at random it is not. I do not know what causes this - but it is infuriating. Sometimes I open my file - the spot channel is gone- but the alpha channels I created are there. Alpha channels take a lot less effort to create and Photoshop saves them automatically- why aren't Spot channels saved automatically. I feel that anything I create should save no matter what. If I hit save- everything in the file should save. Spot channels should automatically save. If I didn't want them there, I would throw them away.

The hue selector in the "Hue Cube" goes from 350 degrees to 0 degrees, not 360 degrees to 0 degrees. It's missing 3% of the hues. Can you please fix this? 

Hi. This is some weird issue I had with PS versions for last few years. Usually I worked on CC 2017, but recently I switched to the newest version (and I'm starting to wonder why I did it), and the bug came up. It makes me restart Photoshop much too often. After I play around with shapes I bit, the bug appears and it only gets fixed when I restart PS. You can see the bug in a video HERE. At some point isntead of changing fill color, shape gets scaled. It was like that for a few years, in the meantime I formatted system drive, reinstalled whole OS at least twice. The bug keeps coming back.

i work with 360 panorama images taken with dedicated camerasand sometimes i need to edit the pictures (remove tripod, fix other parts)all worked fine with this workflow:3D - spherical panorama from layer - making the needed changes on a new layer - merge down the new layer - export panorama.but recently i noticed that when opening the panorama image in 3D view, the details become pixelated horribly.and so if i make a change (healing brush), that part of the image will not be the same quality as the rest.strange thing is that if i just export the image without changing anything, the quality is still perfect!see the attached image, all i did was copying my head next to the original, using the workflow above, and exported the pano.as you can see, the left is sharp (even though in 3D view it LOOKED pixelated!) and the copied one on the right IS pixelated.so it seems to me that the 3D view is the problem.noticed after installing PS 2020.but even when i try it in 2019 (which worked

A couple of releases back, I think it was when the "Refine Edge" was moved to "Select and Mask" in the German version a translation was changed to a wrong word and stayed that way now for all consecutive versions. The first slider under Global Refinements is "Smooth" and is now incorrectly translated with "Weich". It is a possible translation, but "weich" means "soft, tender". The term is used correctly below ("Feather" translated to "Weiche Kante"), but the first slider doesn't feather the mask but straightens it out.The perfect word in German (as it was used in Photoshop versions up to a few years back) is "Glätten".   I know, it's not that much of a problem, but it bothers me (and will cause confusion with new users). Can we have the correct word back, please?   

Version 23.4.2 Windows 11For some reason, changing the brush size in Photoshop by holding or repeatedly pressing the [ or ] bracket keys causes GeForce Experience to toggle recording off, even though the keybind ia currently set to its default, which is Alt+F9. It does not toggle recording ON, only turns it off once it's running. Oddly enough, this only occurs with the Brush Tool. Pressing the bracket keys with any other tool doesn't cause recording to stop. I also tested resizing the Brush Tool with bracket keys in Illustrator, and it did not stop recording, so the issue seems to lie somewhere between Photoshop's Brush Tool and GeForce Experience.   I took this issue to NVIDIA's support team, but they didn't have any solutions. They suggested I try taking the issue here, despite Photoshop working completely normally and GeForce Experience misbehaving. It doesn't hurt to try and crowdsource!

After installing the latest CC Update 22? I am getting the following error message in Photoshop. "Something went wrong while syncing your presets. Please try to restart Photoshop to recover."   I have restarted about 5 times, including a full cold boot restart but that has not fixed it. Essentially it is preventing me from using Photoshop because the error message keeps poppin up. I am using Windows 10, latest update, but not 11. Surely, someone else has seen this error message. any ideas??? Mike

Bug in Photoshop concerning adjustment layers, Photoshop v 24.4.1, Macbook Air M1, 8 core, 16 GB ram, sufficient free SSD space. It's not the first time, Photoshop gets slow after updates. It got again comulative worse since v 22 or so. Draging the points on the curve adjustment layer is almost impossible. Jerky and laggy, slow, slow, slow, unusable. The image is not so big, 16 bit ProPhotoRGB loaded, but cropped from a 24 megapixel camera.

Can someone help. After the new update.. when I drag a file into a PSD from the mac finder, Camera raw opens over the top of photoshop. I want to skip this feature... how do I turn this off?   thanks

Hi. I'm posting a question again. There are many people who go through the same phenomenon as me.   I'll tell you exactly what the problem is first. Like you and I know when we want change brush size, press keyboard shortcut [ + ]. No matter how long I press, the size of the brush should change. Because it's always been like that. But if you look at the attached picture below, there are many differences.   in photoshop2015.5 * very smooth, It changes and shows exactly how much I press.     in photoshop2021 * something wrong. You can only see the first and last brush changes in size. In the middle, it appears to be slow (or broken) as if there is a delay.   Someone says. Why don't use a drag shortcut(Alt + Mouse Rightclick and drag)? Yes. I know that. However, use keyboard is more comfortable to me. And as you can see from the attached photos of Photoshop2015.5, it's very soft as like drag shortcut. brush panel is not important and turn off alre

it keeps giving me an unknown error. if I click ignore it will not let me do anything and if I click reload it will let me do things but I lose half my progress that hasn't been saved yet.
