My goal is to evaluate the improvement in color accuracy by creating and applying my own custom profile. In order to assess the improvement, I need to compare two images with and without the application of my custom profile.I created a custom profile for my Camera by using X-rite ColorChecker Classic and ColorChecker Camera Calibration software. To get the colors that are produced by my camera, I need to turn off all presets and profiles that are automatically applied to the image by Adobe Camera Raw.By default, ACR uses Adobe Color profile. There are other profiles under Adobe, Camera Matching, Legacy available to me. I need a “Null Profile”. In other words, a profile that does absolutely nothing to the raw file. How can I create one if Adobe does not provide one?Under Legacy, I also see ACR3.3 and ACR4.4 profiles. Are these suitable for what I am trying to achieve? Can I manually edit the profile file and set all changes to zero? Thank you for your help.
I have the latest camera raw 13.2 update and I can't get it to use my gpu. I have the latest Nvidia drivers and Windows is up to date. My pc specs are AMD Ryzen 5600x and Nvidia RTX 3060Ti. The strange thing is it worked once but has yet to work again it just says (graphics acceleration is disabled due to an error).
I use lightroom classic as primary organization and filing for my imagaes. When I open an image fromm LR to PS it does not open in camera raw. To use CR I have to then use CR filter. Super resolution does not appear when opening raw file this way. It only appears if opening directly in CR. Is there a way to open images that originate in LR directly to CR rather than using filter?
I was really looking forward to trying out the new Camera Raw enhance feature, but when I try to use it, I get a notification that it requires a graphics card with Metal Support. I have a 2013MacPro with dual AMD FirePro D700 cards running on the latest OS Big Sure 11.2.3. The system report says the cards are supported in the Metal GPUFamily macOS 2. Any ideas? Does Camera Raw need a future update to work?
Leica has recently introduced a firmware update for their current M10 rangefinder camera series, the M10-P, M10-R and M10 Monochrom. This uses the camera's level sensors to add metadata that Lightroom can use as guides for automatic perspective correction on the raw files. It is a really nice and useful function. This works beautifully for the M10-P, and I believe (but without personal experience) the M10-R. But I cannot for the life of me persuade it to work with the M10 Monochrom. The function is working fine in the camera but LR refuses to play ball. This is very frustrating, specially as all the PR guff talks about it being developed in collaboration between Leica and Adobe. Is it a develpoment that hasn't made it into the outside world yet for the Monochrom, or is it a bug? ACR in Photoshop is exactly the same as far as I can see - works as expected with the M10-P but not the Monochrom.
So, I have a 2019 MacBook Pro with 32gb of ram and the Radeon Pro 5600M discrete video card that is OpenGL and Metal compliant. I got really excited about the new Super Resolution capability in the new version of ACR. I tried to run it, and I was most sorely disappointed. I bought this very high end laptop which perfoms very well editing photographs and videos. Lightroom supports the card. Photoshop itself supports the card (OpenGL). ACR DOESN'T, notwithstanding that the 5600M has Metal and plenty of power. What's up with this????? Hey Adobe engineers, what's the thinking about this? Do you have a plan for ACR recognizing the 5600M's Metal engine???Written by someone who has used your LR and PS since their very beginnings!Thank you.Marc Weinberg
Big Sur is killing my iMac photoshop experience. Freezes hard each and every time I try to use Camera Raw and Bridge then restarts the machine. The only thing I can do in Camera Raw is click open. It will not let me adjust any image without freezing instantly and then restarting the computer. Bridge is completely useless and does zero after opening except crashing the OS and restarting the computer all over again. Photoshop is working fine now. But at first it was giving me the dreaded spinning beach ball every time I tried to use any tool. But that seems to have worked out now and is working just fine. My computer has 32 gigs of ram and a 3.2 intel processor and over 1 TB of free hard drive space. It is the old school spinning platter type of drive. Which after updating too Big Sur was really working hard even when at sleep for awhile but that seems to have worked itself out as well.
The graphics acceleration on my Mac Pro OS X 11.2.2 with my Radeon Pro 560 is not functioning When I go to Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/ there is supposed to be a GPU folder containing the GPU config file. The GPU folder is missing. Any suggestions why and how to fix it.
Hello,I am unable to locate the Lens Distortion Tool in Camera Raw. Can anyone Please guide me?ThanksSarita
I have updated to Camera Raw 13.2 through the Creative Cloud, but when I try to open a jpg file in Photoshop 2021 using Camera Raw, only 12.4 opens. Any solutions?
Merci d'avance. Nathalie
When one or more adjustments are made on the image in Camera Raw and then you click on "Browse Profiles", the previews (Adobe color, Adobe landscape ..) do not display the adjustments already made but the image in its version when opened in Camera Raw.
Camera Raw version 13.2.0.738When an adjustment is made on the photo (eg lowering the exposure), the thumbnail previews of the profiles do not display the adjustments.
is the super resolution feature available in Photoshop elemnts version of ACR?
First of all my config:cpu: 9900kgpu: rtx 3080ram: 64gb 3600 When I updated camera raw to version 13.0, the crop tool became very slow. Although in version 12.4 everything was ok.How can this be fixed?
When trying to open a RAW file, regardless of camera, the latest version of PS 22.3.0 running on a 2018 MBP with 4GB, of graphics memory, 32GB of RAM and a 2TB NVMe Thunderbold 3 scratch disk is saying a that the file cannot be opened due to a program error. Turning off the graphics acceleration in PS does not help. Moreover, the newest version of Camera Raw 13.2.0738 delivered the same program error message using PS 2019. According to Adobe documentation on this site Radeon Pro 560X 4 GBand Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB should be enough. Not an upgrade until it works Adobe...
I selected an image in Bridge and tried to open it in Camera Raw when I right-click it I get the message: "Unable to use the Camera Raw plug-in."It is not compatible with this version of Bridge." All my apps are up to date, and if I hover over Camera Raw it lists version 13.2I saw that I could export an image from Bridge as a raw file, but there doesn't seem to be that option either. The Creative Cloud Desktop doesn't seem to list an option to open Camera Raw, and I can't find any way to open it for any image or to even just open it if that's an option. I should mention I don't think I have used Camera Raw since CC5.5.

I updated to Camera Raw 13.2 but when I open a raw file (.dng) in Photoshop, it uses Camera Raw 12.4.Any idea how to fix this? Thanks in advance 🙂
When I take a pic (dng) in Ligtroom Classic and open it in Photoshop it do not open in Camera Raw, although it is a raw file. Earlier I could see the dng-files in Ligthroom now I can only see the cataloglogo and the pic is inn the Icloud ?I want to open the dng file in Ligthroom in the new Photoshop, but it will not open in Camera Raw - just in the edit function ?? When I connect the memorycard to Photoshop it opens in the new Camera Raw modul like it should. Why not from LC dng ?? Stein Flaten
Hi! Ever since the new update was implemented, the manual-value-input boxes aren't automatically switching to the slider you're currently using anymore. For example: Let's say I slide the exposure slider to -1,30. I then afterwards slide the contrast slider to +17. I now want to manually change the contrast value to 5 instead of 17. I press 5 on my keyboard to change it to 5 instead of 17. Before this update, the contrast would now change to 5. But with the new update, in this instance, Camera Raw would still be stuck on the input-box for exposure, meaning the exposure instead of contrast will be changed to 5. This is heavily disrupting my workflow, as I've e.g. found a quick way to toggle between the default value (0) of a slider and something I've set to is by pressing 0 and CTRL + Z on my keyboard respectively backwards and forwards, while looking at the photo I'm editing. To do the same thing now, I would have to now have to look at the slider, and then double click
Hi! EOS R5 cr3 files are very dark compared to the out of cam jpgs when I open them in Camera Raw. Its seems like about one or two apertures darker. I have to increase the lightning for about one or two stops and then noise appears quite way too heavy in the pictures. Is this a known problem for Adobe or are there ways to fix this issue?Best regards Martin
Hi.I made a lot of creative DCP profiles to many cameras. Now I want to know if is possible to convert to new xmp profile style. Ok, I know I can just convert the settings in to a xmp profile usin ACR but when I do that I need the DCP on the right place (adobe/CameraRAW/ Camera Profiles) to load the xmp correctly. If I try to "rename" using "alt" I can change "applicability" of the xmp profile but it still blocked to camera model or camera profile (DCP) which, in turn, is also blocked to the specific camera model. I only have "Images from all models and formats" if I used adobe Standart profile to create the XMP profile.So... Is there a way to transform my DCP files into this new profile model that I don't need to specify the camera model for?
Just tried to download the new DNG converter from the links provided and this is the error I get. Tried different browsers. No joy. Thoughts??
