Camera Raw

Working with Camera Raw was simple in pre-12 Camera Raw. You could update an image and then syncronize the rest of the images by clicking on an icon. With 12, that icon was hidden behind a single icon (more stupid clicks), but you could still get to it. Now with 12.3 and later that's also gone. Why ruin a decent flow. At least put a menu where you can get to the damn features rather than forcing folks to memorize keystrokes if they don't want to. If nothing else, stop forcing an update to the latest 12 when I've installed a pre-12.3 version. 😕😕  

I've searched for answers and can't find them. When in the new 12.3 version of Adobe Camera Raw batch editing multiple images (or even a single image for that matter), how does one apply a color label? I used to be able to for example hit ctrl+6 to label an image red in ACR. Now in this new version that doesn't seem to be working and even right clicking doesn't give an option for color labels. Thanks in advance for the help. 

So not sure who can help me here but when I make a preset and try to save it on my phone as a DNG file after trying to put the preset on the collage it just shows up as a blank grey / black screen how do I fix this ?

When I open RAW files in Lightroom, Elements and Photoshop, images open in Develop module with rows of red and black pixels throughout the image and blocks of random colors.  I uninstalled/reinstalled Lightroom and installed a new graphics card with no improvement.  JPEG files open correctly.   This problem also occurs with Elements and Photoshop.  If I open a RAW files in Luminar and export it to Lightroom, the problems disappears.  I tried changing settings in Lightroom, to no avail.  This problems began with Camera RAW 12.3 and continues with 12.4.  I also converted RAW files to DNG and the same problem occurs.  This problem is present with RAW files from various camera formats, Olympus, Nikon and Sony. 

Bonjour,  Je ne comprends pas pourquoi, mais sur mon mac (Catalina) je ne peux pas importer de filtre Cube/3DL... car l'option n'apparait pas dans nouveau paramètre prédéfini. Et, les fichiers sont grisés dans "charger des paramètres". Seuls les XMP sont lisibles, et je ne sais pas convertir un .CUBE en .XMP  

I have Lightroom 6.4 as my rural internet just doesn't work with a SAS editing solution.This used to be fine, and then I needed to re-install the software. Now I am back to Camera Raw 9.4 which won't let me see Sony A6300 RAW photos.  I followed the instructions and downloaded and installed Camera RAW 12.3. Seemed to install just fine. When I reboot and reopen Lightroom, I am still at Camera RAW 9.4.  Desperatly needing to process images for a customer job. I'm out of ideas and looking for a fix or recommendation for another local app that can do some basic RAW editing.  ThanksMike in Bulrington, ON.

How do I reset the tools (right panel) in camera raw?  I don't have the crop tool showing.

Does anybody knows why there are no lens profiles for Olympus lenses in Lightroom? Olypmus camera profiles are all available, but no lens which does not seem to make much sense. Isn't there enough "pull" from photographers? I guess quite a lot of people use Olympus lenses togetehr with the bodies... To create own lens profiles is quite time consuming and not so easy to do.I would like to know whether I can still have hope that some day this will be provided...

I've already updated my ACR to the latest version (12.4.0.555) but the crop tool issue remains. It's almost impossible to use, so slow to move the tool. Btw, i'm using macOS High Sierra.

CameraRaw on SmartObject, Radial Filter - Error and Crash - Problem shows up with Photoshop CC2019 and CC2020 (current versions)- It's not the size of the pictures.- Current driver for Nvidia P2000 installed.- Use graphics processor in Photoshop / Services, deactivated, no change.- Use graphics processor in CameraRaw settings, deactivated, no change.- Photoshop basic settings reset.- Error with picture in 16bit or 8bit modeCan somebody help me with it?

Hi group,I was trying out the new Photoshop last night 21.2.2 So i open a RAW photo, open camera RAW ( 12.4 ), i draw a radial filter somewhere on the photo to localy boost the exposure, but the exposure is applied to the whole picture not just within the radial filter?? What am i doing wrong? Of course the invert field is checked. I cant understand whats wrong with this new Camera RAW interface. Any clues?Cheers in advance

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to add support for Raspberry RAW files.A kind guy made his own algorithm to transform the RAW file from the RPI to DNG supported file but I have to run it on the RPI first.https://github.com/schoolpost/PyDNG The problem is that the output of a RPI command is in a JPEG format with the data dumped after the JPEG last line. I am doing astrophotography and I extract the information to edit the files firstly in lightroom and then photoshop.

Short version, uninstalled Adobe DNG Converter and reinstall fails. Current configuration: Running a Mac with OS 10.15.6DNG converter 12.2 Adobe CC with the latest LR and PS on the mac.  Everything was working great until I was suddenly having issues with the Adobe DNG Converter and a program that utilizes the converter (LRTimelpase) despite making no settings changes for either.  I uninstalled both apps by dragging the applications to the trash can.  Tried to reinstall Adobe DNG Converter. I cannot reinstall the Adobe DNG Converter with version 12.2 or 12.4Beta.  Every time I try an install I get a message saying "The installation failed.  The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail.  Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."  No further information is given. I cannot empty the old Adobe DNG Converter out of the trash can because "The operation can’t be completed because the item Adobe DNG

I open a raw image and make some Basic Adjusments and I crop. I click Reset to Open and the Basic Adjustments are reset but not the crop. Why is that?

Many have recently purchased this new RX100 like camera and surprisingly, the .arw files will not open and the dng converter will not recognise them either.ACR not only needs to revert back to the much more user friendly interface but Adobe need to provide na update to include the raw file format of the ZV-1.

Are Adobe Camera Raw and Lightroom presets the same? Just the .xmp file? I work with ACR primarly, and I wanna sell those presets I've made but I havent seen the anyone advertise ACR presets, so can I sell those as an LR presets?Thanks.

Hi, leider funktioniert Camera Raw in Bridge nichtmehr und ich kann keine RAW Datei mit dem Shortcut Befehlstaste+R öffnen.Vielleicht hat jemand eine Idee? Habe schon probiert:Photoshop desinstalliert  - neu drauf - kein Erfolg. Brdige desinstalliert - neu drauf - kein Erfolg. Englisch //Hello, unfortunately Camera Raw no longer works in bridge and I cannot open a RAW file with the shortcut command + R.Maybe someone has an idea? Hi, I was moving along quite nicely in a workflow that involved scanning images as jpegs, opening them in camera raw, making adjustments, and saving. Suddenly, the jpegs will not open in camera raw but open only directly into Photoshop. I checked all settings (both Bridge and Photoshop preferences are set properly to open jpegs and tiffs in camera raw). I also then installed the latest updates for Photoshop CC 2015, Bridge CC, and even installed the latest Camera Raw plugin (I think it is 9.6). But none of this works. The camera raw button in bridge is greyed out in Bridge, and if jpegs are dragged into Photoshop, they go directly into Photoshop and won't open in Camera Raw. However, raw files DO open in camera raw from both Bridge and Photoshop. Anyone have thoughts? Many thanks in advance for your help.

When converting from a raw file to jpeg file in Adobe Camera Raw the metadata shows the images have been cropped "Normal".  How do I prevent this? I tried changing the crop tool settings to "Original" and "As Shot" rather than Custom but that didn't do anything.  The metadata still shows "Normal" cropping rather than no cropping.

When I click on an image in Bridge it opens the image in camera raw, then I edit more in PS.  However recently it hasnt been doing this, it goes stright into PS bypssing Camera Raw, I dont know why it has started to do this and I dont know how to get it to do what it used to do.  However, I have noticed an app called "RAW FILE CONVERTER EX 3.0 powered by SILKYPIX" on my desktop, I did not download this app and do not know where it has come from.  Im wondering if this is why my Adobe Camera Raw won't now work as it used to.  I have tried to place SILKYPIX into my bin to get rid of it in the hope that Camera Raw will start to operate again, but it won't go into the bin.How do I get rid of this app and get my Camera Raw back? 

I'm currently working through some tutorials and found that Camera Raw on Windows displays a "top menu" with "tools" that my Camera Raw (12.3) on a MacBook Pro are missing.  Should they be visible the same as Windows or have they been abandoned for some reason?WindowsMac - with no upper menu or toolsThanking you.Sr. Sabina

I don't like the new design but I'm not going to bash it completely because I want to hear what other long time users are saying.  That, and the fact that there are some very nice new features in it. But here are the deal-breakers for me:1.  It takes approximately 4 seconds instead of 1 to open a raw file once I hit CTRL-R.  Not much more needs said on this. Horrible.2.  There is no possibility that I'd ever be faster by scrolling and hunting for what I want to do than clicking on a Tab and finding my familiar actions instantly.  The collapsing arrows are just more clicks.  Just look at the additional physical requirements on getting around in the app.   Then read a few articles on repetitive stress injuries while considering the number of photographs a professional routinely processes in a year, or a career. Hi,I am missing the crop tool in Adobe Camera Raw 12.3  (12.3.0.493 in Win10 64bit), see screenshot below.I reinstalled it, but that did not fix the problem. This seems a bit strange, suggestions welcome. regardsAndreas 

I have a series of ORF files shot as a timelapse. Processing them in LR gives noticeable color flickering. I picked out two pictures that were shot within one minute. They can be found under: http://pitufos.de/ORF/Importing them into LR results in quite different histogramms.When converting them into TIFF files with the Olympus Viewer 3 and then importing into LR gives the correct result.Hence I think there is a problem in the adobe RAW converter regarding ORF files.Also, a detour via Adobe DNG Converter gives the same wrong result.RegardsStephan Richter
