Camera Raw

My Imacon 3F plugin (1.4) doesn't work in Photoshop 2018 (19.1.1) on MacOS Sierra (10.12.6). The plugin works fine in Photoshop 2017.  When attempting to open a 3F file in PS 2018, the fileformat is preselected as Imacon 3F, whichis not the case in  PS 2017.  Photoshop System Info shows no error in loading the plugin. Any suggestions on how to get the Plugin to work in PS2018? 

I only have a few presets (fortunately!) that I have made over the years and they have lived in the correct camera RAW settings folder and either appeared when a new version of camera RAW was launched or I could do a simple import and they would all load. Now with CR 13.1 there seems to be a confusing array of options. You can't load more than one at a time and it often comes in with a slightly different name. I list mine as 00, 01, 02 etc to keep them in a sort order, this has never caused a problem in the past but now some are named 03 when its actually04, I put Ps21 at the end to show thay are used with Photoshop version and it comes in as Ps22. Clicking the waste bin symbol to the side of the preset actually deletes them from the folder, it never used to do that and caused a scary moment when I hadn't backed up my latest set. Anyone else having similar issues and tips to make sense of this. Something very simple now seems extremely complicated.

Hello all!I'm not a proffessional photografer but a surveyor trying to take sharp pictures with my drone. The problem is that when I use the DNG format the pictures are blurrier and smaller than the JPG versions of the same picture. On the other hand the DNG file size is bigger than the JPG's files. This makes me think that the DNG is compressed in some way but I can't figure out how to proceed. I am now only using the JPG format  until I have an idea of what is going on...Thanks/Johan, Sweden.

Latest ACR 12.3 on Win machine is freezing when trying to move crop area while Crop Tool is active. It does not allows me to click inside and reposition selected area. It works only sometimes, random times with problems. I have feeling that I am moving huge stone.

I created a custom lens profile for a Canon EF35mm f/2 lens on a Canon 5D Mark III body. I took shots as described in the users guide at two different focal distances and two different aperture settings. I imported the pics in to the lens profile creator and created the profile with no resulting errors - all seemed to go well. However, when I try to apply this correction to any photo taken with this lens/body combination, nothing at all happens. I searched through the forum and noticed someone had posted a very similar question in 2013, but it was never resolved. Any ideas? Thanks.

I've had my EOS RP for about a month, so I was thrilled to see the 11.2.1 release that supports it.When I browse the Camera Profiles, I don't see any camera matching profiles for the RP. Just to be sure, I checked the /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles/Camera folder on my Mac, and I see the profile for the EOS R, but nothing for RP.This is my first experience with a new camera that was just recently supported by Adobe. In the past, have camera-matching profiles been made available later? Or can they be downloaded from somewhere?Thanks for the help!

Hello, I am working in Bridge with Camera RAW. Twice a Day we do a white balance calibration and we used to do it with an older version of Camera RAW, there we clicked "save as Camera RAW Standard" and it was applied to all new RAWs that where shot into Bridge or got loaded into Camera RAW.With 13.1 this option is no longer availible and its now Raw-Standard. But when i change the white balance and set a new raw standard, nothing is applied to the new photos. 

Just installed Big Sur on my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) and am now getting this black screen with no detail in the menus every time I open up Camera Raw....Any ideas?

Hello All,I usually use Lightroom Classic on my desktop computer, but would like to use Lightroom CC on my laptop while traveling. I just tried to import some files to my laptop using Lightroom CC, and I can't figure out how to convert the .ARW files to .DNG, or how to generate smart previews. Is this not possible in lightroom CC? I was hoping to avoid setting up a separate Lightroom Classic catalog on my laptop. It's a 2011 Macbook pro.Thanks,Ben

Eine Canon Raw-Datei, die ich in ACR öffne, erscheint extrem rauschig und undeutlich, im Vergleich dazu, wenn ich sie bspw. mit Irfanview direkt oder auch in LRc öffne. Woran kann das liegen? Ich vermute mal, es stecken irgendwelche Voreinstellungen dahinter? Natürlich bleibt das rauschige auch dann bestehen, wenn ich das Bild anschließend in PS öffne. Um es zu verdeutlichen zeige ich dir hier mal zwei 200% Vergrößerungen der gleichen Datei, einmal mit ACR geöffnet (erstes Bild) und einmal mit Irfanview (zweites Bild). Ich denke, man sieht sehr deutlich den Unterschied. Damit verschlechtert sich mein Bild ja eindeutig mit ACR, ansttat es zu verbessern.

Camera Raw 13.1 does not start and locks Photoshop. I have to restart Photoshop everytime and can no longer use Camera Raw.

Hi I just got the new Sony Alpha 1 but it is not supported in camera RAW?? It's the latest flagship of Sony so i can't imagine it's not yet supported...Anyone some info?  Thx 

Greetings,Working with the Export tool for the first time so not expert at its details. I have previously created presets in the Save As... function within ACR where I could save JPGs with a color space selected. However, in the Export presets, when I select JPG as format there is no option to select a color space there? Attached samples show where that option is available for TIFF but not for JPG. My workflow commonly involves working with DNGs in Adobe RGB to create archival masters based on RGB/Lab values from targets, then generating JPGs in sRGB for consistency across platforms/devices. Thanks much~  

Anyone noticed this - has happened a few times now..... I adjust one RAW image in Camera Raw - i.e. like the shadows.Then load several images "Load Files as Photoshop Layers" All RAW files.The changes made in Camera Raw haven't loaded in Photoshop.The shadows are as they were in the default image. A bug maybe?It's causing me loads of problems as a big part of my workflow.I'm working on latest version os Photoshop (always updatd) and a pretty new iMac.

One of our photographers uses Nikon D3S and an 18-35 mm lens which gives a horrible barrel distorsion and ACR can´t correct it. The closest fit I can find is 14 mm. but still not ok.Are the developers at Adobe still working on this old profile?This is what I get when I use the "correct" lens profile.

Hi all- I'm trying to find a way to set ACR's default sharpening to zero after merging photos with HDR Pro. The current default is 40. I've tried changing the raw defaults multiple different ways and nothing has done the trick yet. This is driving my production team crazy!  I know that a new preset can be loaded each time and that I can also use previous settings, but I want to just wipe out the default 40 sharpening entirely without having to add an extra step.

When using the crop tool in ACR 12.3, the underlying image moves around the canvas when the crop size is adjusted. This is very disorienting, and can cause the image to jump from one position on the screen to another when changing the orientation of the crop. Is there a way to lock the image so that it doesn’t move when adjusting the crop?

Hi,when i open a raw file in Photoshop the the raw editor is much bigger than my Laptop-monitor so i can´t see or set the files "open" , "ready", "done" because they are out of the Monitor-Frame.I must close all Apps and change the direktion of starting Photoshop on my second and bigger extern monitor but that meens more work for me.Please, can you tell me how can i change the size of the raw-editor before this app starts?Thank you 

In camera raw you're able to press O and U to show blown out white sections in white and blown out dark sections in blue. That way you could tell if there is any detail in highlights and shadows. Since a few days i have the issue, when I paint more light into closely blown out sections to blow it out on purpose the mask turns white instead of red. That way I have a hard time to see if its actually blown out or not. Before it was always red when it was fully white with no details, but now it shows white and red mixed.. So, white where I painted and that is not good at all.is there a way to turn that off? I want it red when its blown out white and not a white layer over the red mask to not see the difference ;( attached image..top left area shows white, even i added +1 exposure to blow it out.. in previous versions it was red and didnt show what i painted.

Hi everyoneI am trying to open my raw files (NEF) in camera Raw but I only get a completely black screen. Yesterday I was able to open a file and edit it in camera Raw, so i really don't understand why I am not able to do it today, any idea?

Adobe Camera Raw 13.1.0.658MacBook Pro - MacOS 10.15.7 CatalinaWhen I am using a tool (in this case the brush tool) and drag the mouse past the viewing screen, it slow-drags my image off the viewable screen.  I want the image to stay in place while I edit, and disable that drag feature, but can't find where to do it, nor what to call it in a google search  Please help this is driving me bats**t crazy.  I've tried posting a video to illustrate.  Thanks!

I have installed the Camera Raw 13.1 update, but Photoshop still isn't able to read the NEF files from the Nikon Z6II. In Lightroom it works fine, but in Photoshop I receive the error message 'cannot open this file in photoshop'. I use Photoshop version 22.2. 0. Any ideas how I can solve this issue?

it doesent open tp photoshop and i cant close it eather....
