I don't like the way the current version of ACR applies previous settings. As is it is essentially useless to me because it applies EVERYTHING that was altered during the prior ACR use. This includes obscure and image unique things like "Geometry" settings and not quite so obscure "Cropping" settings. I'm currently working my way through hundreds of files created during rephotographing of old 35 mm slides. If "Apply Previous Settings" only applied the things that were set in the "Basic" tab it would be useful and I could make needed adjustments quickly. But every image has a different cropping and I don't want the cropping from the previous image applied (nor any other settings that might have been altered in other tabs). What I'd really like ACR to do is allow the user to specify what controls are included when "Apply Previous Settings" is selected.
I have the latest Lightroom, Photoshop and Camera Raw software installed on my Windows 10 machine which has the latest updates. Lightroom and Photoshop run acceptably fast. Camera Raw is so slow it is unusable. I have fiddled with the preferences for GPU with no difference in running speed. Camera Raw Filter, within Photoshop runs acceptably fast. Any solutions? Windows 10 64-bit AMD FX-6350 six core processor, 8gb ram NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
I just updated photoshop and now when I open a raw image, canera raw shows like this. Black with no names for controls.Any ideas of what that could be?
I bought a Canon R6 which uses .CR3 files, so I had to update to the latest version of Camera Raw. I wish I could go back. It has atleast tripled by editing workflow time! Here are the things that are absolutely wrong with it. I've spoken to Adobe techs about all of these things (some of whom were a lot more informed about the program and proficient than others.)Crop Tool1) The crop tool is now reversed so instead of moving the crop box around you move the photo around. I'm starting to get used to it, but it still sucks. 2) There is no longer a grid overlay on the crop tool. I was tool by and Adobe tech that I could apply the grid to the image, then go into crop (with no grid), eyeball it, and then check the grid. Solid workflow, Adobe.Brushes/Spot Removal Tool1) Brushes no longer retain their settings when switching to a new image. When I'm using 5 or 6 different brushes with various different settings each and I want to use them on multiple images, I have to recreate each one.2)
I am using Camera Raw with Photoshop CC 2018 and am having trouble with viewing the histogram. Here's a picture of the camera raw UI for one of my pictures...Also, if I attempt to resize the camera raw window, my picture above also becomes "garbled" just like the histogram view....Any suggestions on how to fix this? I've tried re-installing the camera-raw 10.5 plugin once, and that did not help. Thanks
In Adobe Camera Raw 13.0.2, installed yesterday, geniuses have placed the Rotate Right/Left icons in some dark closet. After studying Adobe Expert Julieanne Kost's blog with great interest, I find that her ACR updates are based on 12.3 something-or-other, but not 13.0.2. Nevertheless, in her post under "Complete Guide To Shortcuts For Adobe Camera Raw," under the sub-heading: "Crop, Straighten, and Rotate Tools" she states, under bullet point 15: Tap the R key to rotate an image clockwise or use Command + “[“ (Mac) | Control + “[“ (Win)Tap the L key to rotate counter clockwise or use Command + “]” (Mac) | Control + “]” (Win). Italics mine. I find this does not work. Could someone tell me if there is another solution or keyboard shortcut which activates the Rotate Tool? Thank you

When I open an image in photoshop by right clicking and open with photoshop, camera raw pops up and you can make adjustments before it is opened in Photoshop. From this screen I CAN apply a camera color profile. If I open the image in photoshop and then later go to filters > Camera Raw Filter, then there are no options to apply camera color profiles.I have attached 2 screenshots for reference.
Where has auto mask gone in the 2021 release of Camera Raw? I'd like to make an adjustment using the adjustment brush and can't find auto mask. Help!
Hi there! When i try to make a local adjustment in Camera Raw with the adjustment brush, i normally use the option key to change the brush into an eraser. I can still click on the icon of the eraser, but it would save me lots of time to have the option key working again. You know, from a + to a -. It used to work all the time until today. I didn't update anything the last couple of days since Big Sur. Is there anyone who can help me with this? Thanks! Tobias
Hello all! Does anyone know if there is a way to make a profile universal when you create it? I've purchased profiles/luts in the past that I'm able to apply to an image in CameraRaw to any file I have open (reguardless of which camera it was captured on). However, when make a new profile of my own in ACR, it appears to only be usable on images captured on the same camera. I'd like to have the profile applied to ANY image, regardless of how it was captured. Thanks in advance!
Running up to date apps and Mac OS on Macbook Pro. ACR suddenly shows no words or tabs. All I can see is the sliders. Just tried updating Mac OS and now its all white but still no words or tabs. The camera raw preferences dialog box in photoshop is black as well.
When can we expect camera raw support nikon z6 II ?
WHY is Adobe forcing me to change my workflow!!!! I have a job, and I need to do things in a specific amout of time, my workflow is the most important thing to me....and now I can't use the workflow I have used for the LONGEST TIME! How do I change the Camera Raw back to the old "Camera Raw" to work with the new Photoshop?

The Camera Raw 13 interface eats time.
Just updated but no update for LrC ot this newer version. https://feedback.photoshop.com/conversations/camera-raw-and-dng/camera-raw-1302-update-available/5fa2bad3c17a062d6ba3f51f
Using Camera Raw v13.0.2 on Mac (iMac 2019 with macOs Catalina) and after a few minutes of activity (editing or exporting) the program crashes the computer which remains frozen for about a minute and then restarts. The exact same problem occurs on Lightroom Classic v10.0.These problems began to occur after CC 2021.I use these programs for work and under these conditions it becomes impossible to work. If that doesn't fix the problem I'll have to evaluate other software.
If more than one image in Raw and I zoom highlight and ZOOM ONE image, they all zoom. I want to zoom one at a time.
Is there any way to see the Before and After, in terms of numerical readout?
Hey everyone! The new Camera Raw appears to be creating concentric circles within the selected area and is not making correct adjustments for me. Take a look at the photo below and watch the video in the comments. Is this happening to any of you out there?Thank you!Basic Hardware Specs:CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K @5 GHz (3.60 GHz)Installed RAM: 64.0 GBGraphics: RTX 2080 Ti 11GB GDDR6Windows 10 Professional 64-BitAdobe Photoshop CC 21.2.0
Since Adobe forced the new design of ACR onto users, I've been doing all I can to avoid using the software but with a new camera, I've just returned to download the latest version, hoping that some of the issues have been addressed. I can't believe how badly you've messed up a perfectly good UI. Here's an example screen. Do I really have to point out to Adobe how much wasted screen space there is with this current layout? Working on a Macbook Pro with a 13" screen, to see the full image, it's barely bigger than my mobile phone screen. Why is there OVER an inch of screen space dedicated to the RAW options, that I can also access via the cogwheel at top right? Why is there half an inch of lower screen space dedicated to the ranking option bar? Look at the enormous amount of options on the right that I don't need to see. The software is supposed to be for editing images and yet the image is forced into a tiny box due to poor design. Look at all the wasted space to the left and right
It would be amazing to have lens correction features while editing photos coming from old compact cameras. I know that's a pretty big deal but that would facilitate the whole Adobe programs suite in managing older digital files. PTLens project, for example both has profiles for interchangeable lenses and fixed lens cameras (https://www.epaperpress.com/ptlens/profileFix.html).
Insalled the new PS today, went in ok, but now the sliders inARC 13 will not move with the mouse, you can clidk on the line and it will move but will not slider, the sliders in the new PS and Bridge work. I can't even use the privouse version of PS as theres only ARC 13 now. Any ideas? Thanks
