After running an update to install v.9.1.1 of Camera Raw for Photoshop CS6 13.0 through Adobe Application Manager, I get the error that components were not installed and a log file will help me diagnosed the problem. The link to the log file sends me to a non-existing page and the update problem cannot be resolved.
Just like most other people, I'm not exactly overjoyed by the new upgrade to ACR. In the old version of ACR, you could add sharpening to the preview image only, but this seems to have now been removed... I think. Is there any way of doing this in the new ACR?
With the latest version of ACR, I know where the crop tool is supposed to be located but mine is not there. Also I know there should be a filmstrip similar to Lightroom however it is not there either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Really frustrated at this point.
Even with Bridge 10.1, I can't stomach the inefficient UI. What used to be an efficient tool now requires scrolling to view my complete keyword list. I much prefer Bridge 8.1, but while diagnosing other issues, I inadvertently uninstalled it.Is there a way to reinstall Bridge 8.1? Please?!? "Other versions" only goes back to 9.1.I want 8.1.
The new crop function is counter-intuitive for professionlas like me who've relied on ACR for over a decade for quick photo cropping. The new crop functinality is not helpful for us "old guys" who are the bread and butter Adobe customers. In a future release, please add a "classic crop" option that restores the crop functionality like ACR 12.2. Until then, I'm sticking with ACR 12.2!
In Camera Raw 9.5.1 my Crop Tool will not work properly, crop ratios are not displayed and the tool is frozen with the Straighten Tool. I need a fix to reset this tool.
In previous versions, I could set a brush for local correction in one image and then when I moved on to the next image in the filmstrip, the settings on the brush would "carry over" and I could make the same local adjustment without resetting the brush. Or I could go to an image I had already corrected, click on a local adjustment icon and pick up those settings to fix the same problem in another image. Now the brush resets all adjustments to zero every time you move from image to image in the filmstrip. Is it possible to set the brush for carry-over settings in this new version, or has that been done away? I have to edit batches of 20-70 real estate property images at a time. Having to reset the brush every time is not good workflow for me. Thanks to all!R.
Updated to ACR 12.3 and I am not thrilled with the new interface, but my main issue is that I cannot figure out how to do something that was quite easy to do with the old interface. There was a button for “Copy current settings to Before” which made it easy to incrementally view the effect of each individual adjustment when desired. You could make several adjustments, make all of those settings the “Before” and then move one more slider and then see the before/after for the effect of just that one slider. I may be missing something, but I cannot find a way to easily do this with the new interface. How do I accomplish this in 12.3?
I've tried to convert my raw files (ARW) from my Sony A7III with the Adobe DNG converter, for some reason it doesn't show that I have any files in the folder that I have selected to convert. I also tried to import my files in lightroom with "Copy as DNG" nothing has worked for me. Has anyone experienced this and how may I fix it?
Desde la actualizacion de junio 2020, Camera Raw es un auténtico desastre. A mí no me sirve para nada. No creo que se haya hecho pensando en los profesionales.
Hi All I am experiencing multiple errors as I proceed through my workflow from Bridge > RAW > Photoshop. I am posting this in the RAW channel as it starts there. The first is thisThis error happens usually when I attempt to use the Adjustment brush or the Geometry. I have now disabled the feature but it makes RAW sluggish and cropping impossible. The second error is thisThis follows shortly after GPU acceleration automatically disabled so I assume is connected and occurs when I try to do pretty much anything.Around this time I start getting this error in Bridge and Photoshop which must be connected as they both involve the RAMBelow are my system specsMachine Id: {0B81B34E-A118-4D74-B369-CF96A8D8F62B}Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 18363) (18362.19h1_release.190318-1202)Language: English (Regional Setting: English)System Manufacturer: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd.System Model: MS-7B45BIOS: A.40 (type: UEFI)Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700K C
the lastest version of CC camera Raw is junk. too complicated...I cannot find half the tools and it is the worst thing Adobe has done...Why couldn't they have well enough alone....If a chance to revert back to the last camera Raw version is soon supplied, I will cancel my subscription...:(
Where can I find these settings now in 12.3? Specfically removing chroamtic arbberation and entering the lens profile.
Hi all.I seem to have an issue with zooming in on a photo in ACR 12.3 update. If I click + to zoom in to 100% it works most of the time. Clicking - zooms back out again to fit image. However, sometimes zooming in goes to say 100.8% or something different. Sometimes I click the + and it will go from say 23.5% to 26%...click again and it goes to 100%.If I zoom in by slideing the mouse to zoom to a specific spot in the photo (more or less than 100%) and then click the - it goes back to fit image, which is fine, but them clicking + goes back to then previous zoom %...not 100%. Do I set "global zoom" to on or off...doesn't seem to make any difference.Hope this makes sense. Just want to be able to zoom in and out to 100% all the time using the + and - command. Thanks. (windows 10 PC)
Updated to 12.3 and latest version of Photoshop CS. Am I crazy (possibly), I don't see the option to choose a database instead of separate XMP Sidecar files. Is this feature gone? Using a MacBook Pro running Catalina. Thanks.
How should I save it. It doesn't seem to me to get this on all my images by default.
When I attempt to move any slider, the numeraical value changes but the slider doesn't move for about 3 seconds. My drivers are up todate, so that doesn't seem to be the problem
This latest update is terrible!! Might as well use Lightroom. Raw is no longer quick & easy to use it is clunky, slow & downright silly now!!
I wish I could travel back in time to stop myself from clicking on the Upgrade Camera Raw button. You're making totally unnecessary changes by moving things around at the cost of all the users' time.
Where is the pull down menu for HDR merge and panorama merge in Camera Raw Utility in the new update? It used to be located inside the fly out menu above the film strip.
I have just switched over to 12.3 and one of the first things I have noticed is that the ability to mask how sharpening is applied appears to be gone. In the previous versions of ACR you could adjust the details mask to remove pretty much all of the picture apart from the highest contrast edges from being affected by the sharpening, with the advantage that sharpening could then be heavily boosted in just those areas with zero impact on the rest of the image. It created more pop with a more natural image. That facility is gone. In fact there is literally just a sharpness slider with no options to adjust threshold or radius let alone the mask. Any ideas? Are these controls no longer required? Is sharpening on 12.3 massively more advanced than before?
In the previous versions of Camera Raw it was possible to change the color-rating of a picture with ctrl+6, ctrl+7, ctrl+8, ctrl+9. With the current version this doesn't work anymore. How do I change the color rating with the current version?
I bought a Nikon D750 a week or two ago and found out that Camera Raw didn't support this model. The very next morning there was an update available and now CR actually recognises my camera but still won't recognise RAW files, only .jpg. Is this the case for everyone or just me, as I did experience an error message when I installed the update?
