Camera Raw 12.3 is totally. totally, totally, crap. I wish I could go back to the previous version.
My work computer died and I had to purchase a new computer. I reloaded my CS5 and went back to work and discovered on my new computer in Camera Raw I no longer have the option to lens correct manually - there are no tabs whatsoever and I have tried updating the program but only get error messages. What do I do now?
I had problem with this new version of camera raw; crop was terrible, low performance, Optics correction could not find the camera lens and the user Graphics Processor was also empty no card recognized. Etc etc .after removing the old custom Settings e reinstalling the same version of camera raw, the Graphics Processor is working again.Wonderful performance now.
I like the tool placment on the previous version. The new version hard to use.
Hello, Adobe creative cloud updated Camera Raw new version 12.3 . How can I recover de previous version, because 12.3 is untidy and difficult to manage.
When creating an ISO-dependent preset you have several images of different ISO values. If you're not paying attention it's easy to NOT check the box to create the ISO-dependent preset. Perhaps when you have several images at different ISO values selected, and you HAVEN'T checked the ISO dependent box pop up a warning asking if you want an ISO-dependent preset.
I cannot find the Auto Mask checkbox in the new ACR user interface or the Camera Raw Filter in Photoshop. Where is it? Thanks.
What's terrifying is what happened with Ui CameraRaw, not because I pay for Photoshop to make Lightroom !!!!!!!Batch processing, in the previous update improved copying of all settings, which is a great advantage, in the end you can transfer all settings with a preview to all photos. And now, what happened Changing the user interface, killing my processing speed I normally process in a few hours using CR 600-800 photos, now a few bars, looking for scary vertical options, I don't want to waste so much time by clicking extra many times on one photo .Elements arrangement moved to the right, no overlaps (fast efficient)Earlier the tabbed user interface was fast and convenient. The same applies to cropping photos, it was introduced earlier, but everyone could return to classic, fast and efficient settings in PS, but here in CR there is no such possibility.I think it's time to go to the new software, and I have been using Photoshop since version 3.1 - how old is it !!! It's a shame Adobe is fo
PS, would you PLEEEEEAAAASE revert back to the old RAW converter???? Why change when it is working and has been working very well for ages!!
Is there a new manual because camera raw is completely changed? I dont know how to change the size of a picture. And the interface looks bad.
After updating PS to 21.2.0, I was so unhappy with the CR plugin (12.3) that I contacted Tech Support and they gave me a link to revert back to previous plugin. That has screwed EVERYTHING up. Now, any RAW / DNG file brings up a strange CR screen with all of the controls missing and it's now obviously all corrupted. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing PS from CC site and it is still screwed up. Tech keeps giving me links that are supposed to overwrite the old plugin but I can't get any detailed help.Quite frustrated.
I'm looking to use the DNG SDK to write DNG files from quad bayer RAW image data but I'm not sure if DNG actually supports this bayer pattern. I have found DNG sample files from cameras which use quad bayer sensors but analysing the DNG/TIFF tags they're not correctly reporting a quad bayer pattern. Does anyone know if DNG actually properly supports quad bayer?
1) Muscle memory has me clicking [Done] or [Cancel] instead of [Open]. Why, why, why did Adobe change the position of the buttons? It's probably the most idiotic thing any software developer can do. 2) The missing icons in images in the Filmstrip that showed an edit had been done. I very frequently open up to a dozen variants of images, and only open into PS those that I have edited in ACR. Now I can't easily see which they are. Sometimes there is an icon when I hover over an image, but most times not.
So I tried to install the 12.3 Adobe DNG Converter because the Photoshop program is too old to otherwise open my camera RAW files. However when I try to install it I just get an "Error opening file for writing: (directory)" message. Was wondering if this has an easy and apparent fix or otherwise if anyone has a solution for this issue.
I just updated to the new and "improved" June 2020 ACR. I have found that I much prefer the previous version, especially the crop tool. Is there any way to revert to the former workspace? {Thread title edited by moderator}
I re-installed the previous camera raw after the recent update but now, I cannot 'open with' camera raw as I used to directly from Bridge. The Camera Raw Preferences is greyed out. I can open in camera raw from Photoshop but I used to be able to open in camera raw direct from Bridge without even opening Photoshop. Any ideas anyone? Thanks
Where/how do I access the masking slider that was just below the sharpening sliders.I used it it All the time to mask out potentially noisy ares
I installed Camera Raw 12.3. And now all my personal Profiles are gone. I tried do install my *.xmp Files but no Profiles was showed. I only see the standard Profiles. All atempts to import my personal Profiles failed. Error Mesasge: "Profiles and specifications cannot be imported. All elements have already been imported." How can I access my specifications (*.xmp Files)? Please help.
Dans la nouvelle version version de Camera Raw, où est passée la fonction "Auto" des réglages de base (exposition, contraste, etc.) ?
After installing the "update" I can't figure out how to get the photos on the left side like they used to be rather than the bottom. How do I do this? Thanks
The ACR 12.3 UI is a good accomplishment, but it will take some getting used to. However, I find the text size to be quite small throughout the UI (from the settings windows to the panel elements), particularly if I use a monitor resolution of 2560 x 1440 or higher. In Photoshop, the Interface Settings window provides a choice of 4 text sizes, and the biggest sizes help with this problem. Please include in ACR a settings feature that offers larger text sizes.
I use Adobe Lightroom CC and Adobe Photoshop CC as part of my image processing workflow. I have a Fuji X-T2 and have read a number of articles that intimate that Lightroom Struggles to process Fuji RAW files effectively.I have processed a number of my files in a selection of RAW converters and have found that although the detail in the converted file seems to be in line with other applications there does appear to be some obvious color tone loss in the Lightroom conversions. I have included an example export below to illustrate the issue. It would be good to understand the roadmap for Adobe in respect to X-Trans RAW file processing. I do not want to switch software but I feel that I am not getting the best results from my RAW files currently. The image below shows a comparison of default processing from Lightroom on the left and MacPhun Luminar on the right. Note the Luminar conversion shows a greater color tone range in the foliage.
The little eyes on right of each panel header do not function consistently. Sometimes, they toggle on and off the effects set in a panel. Other times, they switch off the effects in a panel permanently. The latter is pretty consistent behavior in the geometry panel, and after that happens, most of the other eyes misbehave. Please investigate and fix.
Recently changed camera from Panasonic Lumix TZ80 to TZ90, which also produces JPEG and RAW images. Have long used Adobe DNG Converter (version 9.4.0.548) to convert TZ80 RW2 images to .dng for editing etc in Photoshop Elements 12 (in Windows 7). That converter will not convert the TZ90 RW2 images (apparently same format as TZ80 RW2 images). Have tried downloading current Adobe DNG Converter version (12.2.1?) but it will not install and open for testing on RW2 files. Please advise.
I understand tweeking and developing new ideas for a product, but this latest update to Camera Raw is horrendous. I can't even begin to find the functions I use most frequently. What's worse, the older versions don't even appear to be available. You have made what would have been a 20-minute project undoable! I need to be able to directly control how much of the image will be affected by a change in noise reduction. I also want the old cuve function back.
