Okay, long winded post coming up. I am a wedding photographer and my usual workflow has been... okay. I'm sure I could do things to save time, but this is what I was taught and teaching an old dog new tricks seems daunting. BUT I have run into an issue and my entire process is on hold. Here is what I currently have been doing: created a folder on my external hard drive for the session/wedding, create 3 sub folders (RAWS, sneak peeks, finals), pop card in, open bridge, select all of the RAW files from card, drag and drop into "raws" subfolder on hard drive, then open the "raw" folder in bridge, cull and apply star ratings to the images I want to keep, open starred raw files in ACR, edit in chronological order, export image as jpg into appropriate folder on hard drive OR open images in photoshop if I want to fine tune or remove clutter etc. This process has worked fine and I have been able to close ACR/Bridge and go back to the images with my star-ratings saved (5 star to keep, 4 sta
Hi everyone, could do with a bit of help here. In Camera Raw, I heavily rely on the "Color Mixer" function to fix incorrect color casts. Sometimes though, I'd like to apply these corrections only to masks created using Camera Raw's "Mask" feature. But it seems like I can't do that. There's no tool like "Color Mixer" within "Masks". Am I missing something? Could you please help me out? Thanks a bunch.
Trying to create a new profile in Camera Raw. When selecting a .cube file I get the attached erorr. The file works in other software. Have tried resetting Camera Raw settings, didn't affect the issue. Camera Raw 16.4.0.1906Windows 11
The Camera Raw 16.4 window opens slightly higher for each new image until the window is so high on the screen that I can't reach the top edge with the mouse to pull it back down. How do I force Camera Raw to open in the same place each time? Is there something in Settings where I can set a static position for this window? A more detailed explanation of what's happening: I'll open a RAW file, which opens the Camera Raw window near the middle of the screen. After I do my edits and transfer to Photoshop (which closes the Camera Raw window), I'll finish the photo and save in Photoshop, then close the image. When I start working on my next RAW file, the Camera Raw window opens, but about an inch higher on the screen. As I repeat this process, eventually the Camera Raw window will open where the top edge (which normally allows me to move the window) will disappear above the top of the screen where my mouse can't reach it.
Hi! I’m using PS 14.1.0.993. In Camera Raw interface, I’m not able to see the rightmost vertical tabs panel (one with EDIT, CROP, HEALING and other tools). It’s like my Windows screen crops right after the Preferences (Gear icon) on the top right, vertically down. How do I fix this? Somebody Please HELP!!
I'm on an Intel iMac, running macOS Sonoma, using the latest version of Photoshop, v25.9.1, but I am experiencing a strange issue within Camera Raw v16.4 which could be a bug, but I'm not sure. I have installed 10 sets of 3rd party adjustment brushes, 124 brushes in total, however, when I try to access the brushes in the masking section not all of them are available to me, 22 of them are not visible to me even though they are installed correctly. I've had two remote support sessions from Adobe. In the 1st session, they changed permissions for Photoshop and for some files, and then in System Settings, they gave Photoshop full disc access to files and folders. In the 2nd session, they installed earlier versions of Camera Raw to see if there were any issues with the latest version. Finally, I was told to contact the developer so they could send me the files for the brushes that were not showing up to see if there was a compatibility issue with any of them with the latest Camera
Hi all! Just wondering if you have a solution for this. When I open Camera Raw from Bridge and accidentally press the Tilda key (next to the left shift on my keyboard) Camera Raw closes without saving its progress. Very annoying when I'm working in series of multiple images and everything is lost. The strange thing is that it doesn't happen when I open Camera Raw from Photoshop. I work on a Macbook Pro and Mac Studio and it's the same for both devices. Regularly updated, also reinstalled everything to see if it would help, but... nothing! Is it a shortcut? This key is bugging me for about 2 years now. Somebody has the same issue and how to change it? Versions of apps:Camera Raw version is 16.2.0.1763Bridge is version 14.0.3.200Photoshop is 25.4.0 MacOS Ventura 13.3
Hello. I use Dell XPS i7, RAM 32, SSD, and for several recent years my GPU was Nvidia GTX 1650. Which was fine but the Denoise AI implemented recently in ACR worked very slow, 20 Mp RAW files during ~2 min and 45 Mp files during 7-8 min. I purchased RTX 4060. It was recognized well by PS and ACR, and the denoise AI initially works quite fast, processing 20 Mp files during ~8 s, and 45 Mp files during 20-30 s. But this lasts for 2-3 images only, after that the speed drops to the previous 7-8 min. Neither PS nor ACR report any errors and show full recognition and support of the GPU. Restart of PS usually help for another couple of images but sometimes it starts slow from the very beginning. Where may be a problem? I do not process many RAW files together, only one-by-one, usually with several masks. I already returned the first purchased GPU and replaced it with another one, from a different manufacturer, but the results are the same.
I have been testing the Lens Blur -Bokeh feature which I access in Camera Raw Reader. Can be very helpful to enhance images that have too deep DoF, etc. (esp APS-C, and IPhone images). But I see some bad masking errors, that often introduce an unnatural pattern around the penumbra. It would be helpful to add tools to expand or constrict the blur mask. Or perhaps correct with an add/subtract brush tool. When using a telephoto lens, there should normally be a creamy soft bokeh around the subjuct (if the background has sufficient distance) When adding bokeh in post, this typically requires careful masking. It would be helpful to see enhanced mask correction tools in a future iteration.I typically use the Field Blur feature in post as it is not a permanent (destructive) alteration. But the Camera Raw option is usfeul, and would be excllent with masking improvment. Some enhancements would also benefit the main masking feature in RAW reader. Its fairly robust as is. But the add/subtract could b
Since updating the jxl files i've made re no longer readable by any program and appear to be several mb larger. I've tried downgrading photoshop and bridge but the issue persists so assume it is from camera rawAnother computer with camera raw 16.3 is ok, but I can't find how to rever to 16.3 from 16.4, only to much earlier versions that do not support jxl as an export format.
Hello! I have had a problem with Camera raw for about 2 weeks. How I work with masks and remove noise. I get a message that there is low memory, etc. 😞 Strange, because the computer is new. Less than a year old. I have never had any problems. Intel 13700kf processor, gigabyte nvidia rtx4070 card, 32 GB RAM. Windows 11 home computer. All programs updated, new driver in card and nothing helps 😞 Today I tried to repair programs with the Creative Cloud uninstaller. It didn't help either. I have no idea. I'm not an IT specialist. Can I uninstall all the programs and Creative Cloud and reinstall them on the same computer? Once I download Creative Cloud, I will log in and I will download my plan? Is there an email address for contact with Adobe in case of technical problems? I apologize in advance for any errors. I am writing via Google Translator. Thank you in advance for any help and tips
hello adobe community,my Camera Raw works very slowly and has delayed responses. It takes 2-4 seconds to display the next photo. Working with Camera raw is unbearable. I have the latest version but I can't work comfortably. I am very disappointed with Adobe because it is not possible to work comfortably with it.I have windows 11, my computer has very good parameters, but even so, adobe packages such as Bridge and Camera Raw are disastrously slow and lagging. What should I do to make Bridge and Camera Raw work perfectly? PC build:Operating system: Win 11 proProcessor: Intel i9-10920X 3,5GHzGraphics card: Invidia 3070 8gbRAM: 128 GBMemory: M2 disk
I mistakenly recorded some photos with the camera set for 16:9 instead of 3:2. I know that the file itself is 3:2 since Apple Preview shows this and the "Get Info" command indicates that the ARW RAW file is 7952 x 5304 pixels. Photoshop RAW displays the image as 16:9 with the top and bottom cropped. I can't find a command that will allow RAW to show the whole image. Is there such a command or a workaround?
Hi, I'm developing a software which can convert raw files to dng format with dng_sdk not use DNG_Convert,but i can't find interface documents about dng_sdk or tutorials about dng_sdk. Has anyone used dng_sdk to convert raw to dng?
In Camera Raw is next to "Basic" a pulldown where you can select "Previous Conversion". Can somebody tell me what the keyboard shortcut is for this action. It is not on the list of all the keyboard shortcuts ans I've tried almost every combination possible. Thank You
For example, when the film is vertical, I want to choose that it is not on the left, but on the right, because I have two monitors together, and the left monitor displays colors better, and the vertical film, being on the left, reduces the usable space. Otherwise, it could be placed on the right monitor along with the editing panel. And perhaps someone would also like to choose whether the horizontal film will be at the top or at the bottom.
Camera Raw Camera Profiles are missing in version 16.4. (Mac OS Sonoma 14.5) This is an old problem that has recurred in the latest update. The old solution of removing then replacing items from the /~User/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw folder does not work.
Buenos dias. Josep Torres
I updated to photoshop 25.9.1 on my macbook Pro M1 and I don't have generative ai with the remove tool.Anyone got an idea why? Thanks
Today I updated to Camera Raw to 16.3 on my Windows 11 PC.I noticed that, when using the masking panel, a checkbox for "Show Overlay" appears in the incorrect location and is obscuring sliders. This makes moving sliders difficult if not impossible - see screenshot.Am I alone in observing this or are others experiencing the same?
Anyone else having troubles when editing in camera raw after applying a smart filter? I have the latest version: V25. I use MacOS Sonoma on iMac 2022 M3 chip. Whenever I apply a smart filter and then open camera raw the loading bar remains static and I have to force quite Photoshop.
Hi all. I develop and process all my raw files in ART (Another RawTherapee), then export the files to tiff format in order to finalize the picture (healing brush tool - remove, heal, clone one). When I open such tiff files in acr, the first thing I see is that the profile there is not color, as for a raster image, but adobe color, which does not suit me.I can change the profile from adobe color to color, but if I'm processing about 300 images and I'm completely immersed in work, then I might forget to switch the profile. The problem is that if I load several images into Adobe Camera Raw, change the profile for the first image to color, copy the settings to the clipboard (ctrl+c), and then paste them for other images, selecting them, then nothing will change for such other images. Pasting settings will only work for one image, unless several are selected. As a workaround, is it better to use an editor not from Adobe (for example, in dxo photolab I don’t have this problem at all), or am I m
Hi! I have a problem with camera raw in elements 2024. My laptop is to old so my GPU is not supported (Intel HD grapics 4400). So I need to downgrade to a version who supports my GPU. I use Swedish win 10 for information, Downloaded ver 14.5 and run exe file, but it does not replace ver 16. By some pages at Adobe this should work but it does not. How to fix this issue ?Best regards Olof.
