Captivate

Can we use a published scorm package (quiz course) inside another captivate project using web component or some other possible means.I'm working on a 360 project which has 120 slides already with necessary interactions. Now we feel it would be difficult to add 100 more slide for the quiz. Instead of having the quiz in the same project, can we publish the questions separately and use it in the main project as web component like iFrame? Kindly advice. 

How to I change the questions language from English to French?

I have designed a quiz for my workplace where I teach I want the students to take a 20 question quiz but I just want to submit on each slide and dont tell the student the outcome untilt the end How do I remove the "Correct - Click anywhere or press '' to continue"and the "Wrong" answer flags When I click on the properties button for the slide I dont get anything on there - you used to get the caption tick boxes there but now I cant find them Thanks in advance to the community Richard

Greetings all!Is there a way to turn on/off or disable the NEXT and BACK buttons on the skin? I am creating some custom assessment simulations and there are times I do not want the student to be able to go backwards using the BACK button.  I know I can turn those off and create custom buttons, but I would prefer to use the skin objects so as to not interefere with the simulation screens with non-application objects.THANKS in advance for any assistance.Cheers Russ

Hey,Looking for some help. I've published some files from Captivate in SCORM 1.2. I'm not too familiary with SCORM, so I've published them as best I know how. When they are loaded into an LMS, the files can be skipped through and show as complete, even if they haven't been. Can anyone help me understand how to SCORM captivates correctly please?  I've included below a little information to see if this helps further: We’ve run some tests on the SCORM Cloud platform which seem to indicate that the modules provided have been configured to return a ‘completed’ status to the Knowledge Centre if the learner exits the module before achieving a 100% score. This indicates to the Knowledge Centre that the module has been completed and it therefore unlocks the next one. It would also explain why the score is displayed as 0%. It would be better if the module could return an ‘incomplete’ status until the 100% pass mark has been achieved. Alternatively, if the

Hi all, I have 30 smart shapes on my page, and I need to change each of them independently to one of three different states, based on a value assigned to variables in java script. Right now my plan is to create 60 conditional tabs, 2 for each shape, with the first tab being:if myVar1 is equal to A then change state of myshape1 to stateA And the second tab being:if myVar1 is equal to B then change state of myshape1 to stateBElse change state of myshape1 to stateC Is there a more efficient way to change the state of a large number of shapes than to use so many conditional tabs? I'd love to have cp.changestate work but when I use it in JS as cp.changestate("myshape1","stateA"); and publish to html5 all subsequent JS in the script window stops executing so I suspect it is not supported by my browser/captivate version somewhere?

Hi all! I'm making a word guessing game in captivate and using javascript executed from an advanced action to handle some of the logic. I am trying to compare a guessed letter with the correct letter, but my comparison is not working when the variables should match. To track down the problem, in the below I have set the variables to the same letter. This results in varDebug1 = "grey" where I was expecting it to be "green":jsLetter1="C"; jsGuess1="C"; window.cpAPIInterface.setVariableValue("varDebug1", "grey"); if ("jsGuess1" == "jsLetter1") { window.cpAPIInterface.setVariableValue("varDebug1", "green"); }  I have used typeof to confirm that both variables have the same type, if that might matter. Is there anything I'm doing wrong here?

I am creating an Adobe Captivate training project and one of my slides is showing shapes and objects from previous slides and it won't disappear. I've played with the timing and the background settings, but nothing is working. Does anyone have any tips for me?

Hello,I created four variables(just1, just2, just3, just) and created a action where I assigned them values as(1,0,0,0 respectively). Now when I am using this as shared action the parameter selection is available only for first two variables and for variables (just3, just4) it is not showing up.  I am also sharing the screenshot so that you could understand my problem. Thanks in advance.

I recorded audio on Audacity and exported it to an MP3 file. When I put the audio file on two of my slides in my Captivate project, there is a huge echo. I made sure it was attached to the slide and not to any other elements on the slide, but it still echos. Does anyone know a fix for my issue?

Hi I am interested in using the Speech management feature with other languages. Some I am interested in is Chinese Spanish French and Portuguese. Is this possible. What I mean is using a language like "Chloe" to generate audio in another language. Thanks

Hi, Community.Our training content is required (not here to discuss the merits of forced nav) and I set up the modules to require viewing of all slides/videos and completion of activities; however, it was recently brought to my attention that mobile users are able to "swipe left" essentially bypassing all module content. This is happening on both Apple and Android, but NOT on a touch-screen laptop (which makes me feel it is a mobile issue). Of course no issues on desktop. Unfortunately the majority of our users will take training on their phones, and there are always people who manage to find the shortcut. Has anyone experienced this, and is there a solution to this issue? I also have a call out to support through my LMS, but haven't heard back yet. Thank you for any advice!

When I publish a file as HTML5 it works fine. When my coworker publishes the same file it takes an image from the bottom layer and moves it to the top blocking all of the other elements. I've looked through all of the export settings and they appear the same but the code looks different once published. Any thoughts?

Hello all, I have a project translated to a few languages including Chinese Simplified. When I imported the Captions from the word docuemnt it came that the Chinese characters turned into boxes. I tried this solution here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/captivate-discussions/pasted-chinese-characters-become-boxes/td-p/3082697 but it does not work for me. Even when changed the font into MingLiu in the .doc file the boxes appers and the strange is that the font in Captivate goes to MS Gothic. If I try to changed in manually in the project, it doesnt change again.. Even if I copy-paste from the word doc the boxes apper.. So the thing is how to import the Chinese version so that characters are fine?

I'd like to have a "Show All" button that would change the visibility of all objects (images, captions, shapes) on a slide to Visible. I'd love to be able to do that without having to address each item individually. If I can't affect all items' visibility at once, I'd settle for a way to do this via states or any other creative solution you all might have. Thanks in advance!

Hi all, I wonder if anyone could provide any guidance with regards to using Captivate VR/interactive elements in Adobe Connect. Here's a little rundown of what I am trying to do. Aim - To share an interactive element (such as a multiple choice quiz) from Captivate on Adobe Connect.Both the participant and I can see that slide and interact with it. He can see what I'm doing, and I can see what he is doing in real-time. Problem: When a student clicks an interactive element, I can't see that interaction, only my own slide which I can interact with, even with navigation sync. Then we become out of step with each other, is there no way to just share 1 screen and both work from that?  Aim - To share a VR project with hotspots from Captivate in Adobe Connect. Problem - The VR project shows just fine. I want to be able to see what he sees and what he clicks! However even with 'Navigation sync' there is nothing of the kind, he can't see my scrolling and clicking an

I imported an asset form the Buisiness deck called "Horizontal Tabs Layout" - unlike previous assets I have used, I cannot seem to locate where to edit the content box (the one that appears when I prview the slide after clicking on the accociated tab). It is not hidden anywhere in the timeline, nor in the stateview when I click on the Tabs  Any help would be appreciated! 

Hello All,Question on custom quiz reporting when using pools. I'm not sure how to ask the question without an example, so here goes:Let's say you have a quiz with 3 pools, A, B, and C, and each pool has 20 questions each.  The quiz itself uses only 20 questions total. (That's only a 3rd of the questions! But this allows users to take the quiz multiple times and get a different quiz each time.)So, is there a way that I can enable reporting to let the user know how many they got wrong out of the A questions, B questions, and C questions at the end of the quiz?Something like:Total Score: 75% Pool A Questions Correct: 5/7 (71%)Pool B Questions Correct: 7/7 (100%)Pool C Questions Correct: 4/6 (67%)Thanks!

We need to pass the LMS Student ID into a Captivate lesson and the use that ID in an url to access another website. I created a user variable "StudentID", and tried the following methods to get the LMS Student ID:window.cpAPIInterface.setVariableValue("StudentID", cpQuizInfoStudentID);window.cpAPIInterface.setVariableValue("StudentID", SCORM2004_GetStudentID());window.cpAPIInterface.setVariableValue("StudentID", objLMS.GetStudentID());window.cpAPIInterface.setVariableValue("StudentID", SCORM_GetStudentID());But none of them works. It returns nothing without any error message. Anyone can help? 

I jut installed Captivate and tried to import.  It worked.  Two days later tried to do it again, the same and a different ppt and it did not work.  How do I fix?

Hi!I´ve made a Drag and Drop interaction, where I have 4 drop targets and 4 drag sources with only one right answer for each. I added states to the Drop Targets: DropCorrect state, Drop Target turns green when pressing submit and the answer is correct.DropIncorrect state, Drop Target turns red when pressing submit and the answer is incorrect.I thought this would be a good way to show the user which Drop Targets are correct and which Drop Targets they have to change to get the right answer.When the answer is correct, the Drop Targets turns green and I have made an action that says "Correct, click anywhere to continue."BUT when the answer is wrong, nothing happens to the colors of the Drop Targets. It´s just a fail message, Try Again. Nothing more.Why isn´t the DropIncorrect state showing when I press the Submit button and the answer is incorrect?

When I open Adobe DC, I am prompted to sign in. I click sign in, (username, password, Adobe Authenticator app) and it tells me says that I am signed in. However, when I open Acrobat DC and click the file I want to use, it asks me to sign in again. And again. And again. And again.... I am using a MacBook Pro with OS X version 10.13.6, and version 2021.001.20155 of Adobe DC installed. The computer is old and cannot be upgraded further. Everything was working fine until about 4 or 5 days ago. I also followed the instructions here: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/adobe-sign-in-loop.html to no avail. Thanks!

I attached a graphic to better comprehension. I created a mute button (set up to be shown in the whole project) and I also tried with the mute button from the skin editor menu. In both cases I get the same result, when I click the button in slide 1, the sounds mute, but when slide 2 begins, the sound is on again. But if I click the mute button in slide 2, the sound is off for the rest of the project.Any idea on how to resolve this? Thanks!

I am creating a Captivate learning module. I have 8 MC questions working correctly with 7 possible answer choices.  Captivate MC Q with 9 answer options (A-I), I cannot find a process to enter the text for 8 and 9.  Appreciate assistance.
