Captivate

I am having an problem in Captivate 2019. I am creating a training lesson and when I save the project then close it, when I reopen it, the text on the slides is missing. I am able to click on the field and have the text reappears but tis means having do go into the objects and fix them as well. This is way to tedious.  Why is this happening?How can I fix this? Thanks

Hi there, please, anybody know the roadmap, when will be released new version of Captivate? Because version 2019 is almost 3 years old softvware and I want to switch to newest version from Captivate 8. But its strange to upgrade to version 2019, at the end of 2021  -:)))

I have Quiz 70% passing. Random 10 Questions coming from 25 questions distributed in 6 poolsKept 3 attempts for passingFacing issue when I exit after 1st fail attempt from result slide and come back:I am not able to proceed my question appears as last option selected and can not proceed after submit.in normal case Quiz should reset for remaining 2 attempts.please help

Previously had no issues with this but it has suddenly stopped working.I am using chrome and am just getting the spinning wheel/loading icon no errors. Any ideas please? I have tried to publish and still having the same issue....

I did previously on this slide and now the image disappears or seems to go to the back.  I tried to bring to front,  I cahnged the file name so it was short and there weren't spaces.When i slide it onto the stage, it goes below the video on the timeline and is  I am at a loss

I'm not a JavaScript developer, so I'm hoping that someone can tell me if what I'd like to create is even possible.  Actually, this idea is a result of a customized Progress Bar that was posted as a free eLearning Project by James Kingsley: Progress Bar I'd like to apply it to only one slide, instead of an entire project.  Specifically, I'd like to use it for a Slide Video as I am not using the Captivate Playbar.  I need to somehow adjust the "progress_bar" display and movement to match the timing of my video frames.  I did modify the variable for the "totalFrames" to match the frame count of my video and as long as this is the first slide in the course, it works great!  But if you place the slide elsewhere, the progress bar begins at a frame count associated with that point in the module.  Attached is James's code.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks in advance!! 

For example, I have a video that I would like to add some simple graphics to such as "slides".  I would like to resize the video and slides so throughout the video either the video is large and the slide is small and vice versa.  Also, If I want to keep the audio and have the stage be a large graphic, how do i that within Captivate? Thanks - noob here and very excited to learn all that Captivate has! 

Whether I drag and drop or insert video with the media button, i get the same message.  This is definitely an MP4 file 

I am publishing for 2004 SCORMAfter exit the course if I launch it again bookmarking popup appears but unfortunately both "Yes" and "Cancel" button leading me to last visited.Cancel button should allow me to very first page but this is not hapening.Please sugest.

Hi, I created a course with Captivate 2019 on Windows. The course ends with a quiz. One of my colleagues who uses a Mac can't select the answer of the quiz question to complete the quiz and the other colleague can't start the couse on an iPad. Can you tell me how to fix this? Thank you,Sanny

Hello!I am working with knowledge checks as overlays to a video. It works fine in the preview but does not show all of the knowledge checks when uploaded to the LMS (Cornerstone). I have uploaded it as SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 which has not made a difference. Are there any reasons why some of the knowledge checks are not showing?

Hello!i'm creating my first project in captivate and unfortunately i have problems with the fonts.i'm making a layout in breakpoint mode (so with javascript embedded google web fonts don't work) which will later be on a website and also in an LMS.On my Mac the font ARIAL is displayed correctly, on my smartphone (android, samsung) it is replaced.On another computer an on iphone the site uses the default fonts of the browser instead of ARIAL; sometimes serif and sans mixed too (looks horrible).Can someone help?(I have read that it might work with css, but there I still lack knowledge in programming)

HiWe have created Custom MCQ with 4check boxes. Each checkbox has given advance action to get it checked on click. Now it works fine on desktop. We can select two or more checkboxes and submit the question However it does not allow us to work correct on mobile device and tablet. On mobile and Yablet we can select only one check box. After reviewing some eLearning materials I have made, I have found that the recorded audio on any given slide doesn't reliably play. I thought the specific slide or recording was improperly set up, but closing and reopening the published html file results in that slide's audio working and a different slide's audio now refusing to play.It seems random in occurence/rate, but I would rather not deliver this to my client without it reliably working every time.Does anyone have advice or a similar experience, possibly with a work-around?

Hello Rod,In one of my simulation, I have losts to TEBs. After entering the text you need to press the Function Key (in this case F3). To do the shortcut, I am using the below script. This works amazing when its with just the click boxes.Anyways, the issue that I am facing is, once I cross the slide that executes this JS, the TEB stops working. I'm working in Captivate 2019 and have created many projects with slide videos and the closed captions are added and work just fine. However, this time around Every. Single. Time I try to add CC it freezes (stops responding) when I click "ok" and it is generating the thumbnail images. I have to force quit to do anything and then of course the captions aren't there when I open it back up because I had to force quit. Has anyone expereinced this and found a solution? My next idea is to add CC to the videos directly but then users can't turn them off, so that isn't an ideal solution, but it is a last resort. Thank you!

I ordered a new computer that will take another week to be delivered, but I would like to start using the 30 day trial of Adobe Captivate 2019 immediately on my current computer. I'm I able to transfer the download to the new computer once it comes in? (I have not downloaded the trial yet). Thanks in advance

Hi, is there a way to tell if a file has been published using a trial version? (before it expires of course)Dave

I as able to install the Trial on 1 PC and it works. But I've tried 3 other machines and everytime I get the message that my OS or browser isn't up to date. The machines are up to date and so are the browsers. It appears to be wanting to use Internet explorer even though we have Edge or Chrome selected as the default browsers. The only help I've gotten on this issue is from the link it provides which has me install some registry fix that doesn't work either. Is there any other users that have experienced this issue?

Hey folks, How do I open the project I published to my computer?When I first click on publish and get asked if I want to view the project, it works properly. But when I try to open the project at a later time by clicking on the "index" file, I get blackscreens on every 360° slide. The normal slides can be viewed without any issues. RegardsPhilipp

HelloFor my first big captivate project i use the breakpoint mode (fluid boxes unfortunately didn't work at all with the complicated layout).I have the problem that on my smartphone the tablet layout is displayed (although the tablet breakpoint is much wider).Also, the pages within a document are displayed differently, although they all have the same master and look the same in captivate.On different computers & browsers as well as smartphones the created fonts (ARIAL, Tahoma) are replaced (sometimes even a mix of serif and sans).Can anyone help?
