Captivate

Hi allI am using a Learning Interaction in a module but when I publish it  to HTML5 and launch it the index page the slide with the learning interaction (eventually) shows blank. I have seen other posts relating to this that suggest uploading the project  to a server to test but this isn't an option for me. I need to share the module with colleagues by placing it on a networked drive and instructing them it launch the index page. Is there anything I can do in this environment to make the learning interaction show?Many thanks for any suggestions.

In a Cp 2019 (Mac) responsive project, is there a way to:write custom JavaScript functions in one placecall those functions from both Actions and code in web objects, ANDtest functionality of that custom JavaScript in a local preview (e.g. using Live Preview on Devices)?

Hello,I am trying to create a drag and drop Captivate 9 interaction where the end user not only has to choose the correct answer but also has to position it in a very specific spot.  In our manufacturing environment we have parts that are run through machines and the parts are controlled by rollers.  It is important for our end users to know which color roller to use in which situation as well as know the precise placement of the rollers.  What I am trying to create is a drag and drop where the end user not only has to pick the correct color roller (light blue in this case) but place it precisely across from the already installed roller.  The rollers are images and I am having trouble creating the interaction so that the user must place a specific part of the roller in a very specific place. The user needs to grab the light blue roller from the right and place it perpenticular to the white rectangle and while also lining it up directly across the other rol

Despite having the mouse object on my slide to appear after 6 seconds on the timeline, the mouse cursor is in view at the beginning of the slide.  This has long been a problem in Captivate.  Maybe I'm unaware, but is there a way to hide that cursor until the mouse should appear on the slide?  Thank you.

Recién inicio con esto de Captivate.Realicé un proyecto desde power point y le agregué audio y algunas formas en cierta parte de la presentación que incluyen flechas, recuadros, estrellas, etc.Al momento de revisar en Vista Previa el proyecto, todo se ve muy bien, y van a apreciendo en tiempo las formas y en la ubicación indicada; sin embargo, cuando lo publico (solo me da la opción de HTML), esas formas me aparecen todas más abajo de donde inicialmente las coloqué y de donde incluso de visualizan en la previa. ¿Qué podría estar generando eso' Se supone que así como muestra la Vista previa, así debería publicarse, ¿No? Les agradece infinito esta novata, Vista previa:Publicado: 

Hello I followed this tutorial on creating a custom survey with weighted answers:http://blog.lilybiri.com/graded-survey However, I am not getting a score on the LMS, and I wonder how I will be able to tell the LMS to read the custom results variable that was set up in the process? The slides are set to report the answers, and each have an interaction ID, and on the LMS I am informed that I "passed", but it says I have 0%, even though on the custom results page of the course, it showed I received +-65%.. Testing on SCORM Cloud also gives me a score of "unknown".. So it is not reading the results. Your assistance will be much appreciated!

Hi,I am facing a problem and I would like to have your expertise.I have sent my work done with Captivate to my client. The module includes many animations (around 60Mo each for a total of around 600Mo)He has published the module and has reported difficulties in consulting it:- freezing of the module while refreshing (the Windows logo appears during the refresh period)- a button is not functionning although it does perfectly in my computerThe problem of slow refreshment on the module seems to be solved during the second viewing.Have you ever had this type of feedback?Is there anything special to do while publishing , in order to meet the Windows requirements?Thank you.

I have a Captivate License from March 2021.I sign in to the Adobe Captivate App.Then a pop up appears. It says Terms and Conditions Update. Learn more. (no where else to go so I click Learn More.) The link takes me to the Adobe website and is asking me to download a trial version. I don't need the trial, I have the subscription.Help!

I have a multistate click to reveral object that I have set up with 4 buttons, each button has an audio file that plays when its clicked, my adavnce actions are set that the next button will not appear until all buttons are clicked. My question is how do I prevent the user from just clicking all the buttons with out waiting for the audio file to finish for each object?

Hi All Random question - but one I received from a client. Can icons be added alongside topics/page names in a Captivate generated TOC? They had sworn they could see it, but I've researched and cannot see a way this could happen. I don't mean expand/collapse icons - but for exampole chapter icons for each chapter or certain pages.

Has anyone used adobe captivate to to create an acknowledgment form after a training course? We have an annual course where our employees need ot fill in a conflict of interest discloure form (agreeing they don't have a conflict of interest, or if they do they need to fill in what the conflict is).   Trying to see if there is a form template or if anyone has suggestions on how to do this.    Thanks!

I'm trying to add some information to quiz takers when they select an answer to a multiple choice question that has a single answer (explaining why the answer they selected is wrong if they pick a wrong answer, and providing an explanation as to why it's right when they select the correct answer), but I do not have the Advanced Answer Options in the Properties tab (not the Quiz tab, I know it's not supposed to be there).Does anybody have any ideas?Thanks.

[Cp 2019 Mac]I have an animated gif with a custom state Visited, which is essentially the same gif in a different color. An advanced action on a button in the same slide changes the state of the gif to Visited, then opens a URL in a new window. When I preview my project (Preview > Live Preview on Devices) the advanced action works as expected, but if I navigate away from the slide and return to it, the gif has returned to its Normal state, even though its Retain State on Slide Revisit property is selected. On slides where my image states are comprised of pngs, Retain State on Slide Revisit is working as expected. Am I missing something? Can anyone confirm this behavior with animated gifs?

I am using Captivate 2019 with scalable HTML5 output and the zoom does not work on Android /IoS devices. This is a show stopper for my project. Does anyone know of a fix? Thank you.

Hello,we use Captivate 9 and publish in HTML5 (scalable HTML Content is activated). The gesture navigation for mobile devices works finde but only on Android devices it's not possible to zoom in or out (to enlarge / decrease the screen size).On iOS devices it works fine and we are able to zoom.Do you know a way to activate zoom also on android devices?Thank you very much in advance!

I am unable to set the Pre-amplifier value.  It is set at 0.1.  I can click in the box, but it will not take anything I type in.  The volume being recorded is not audible because this is set so low.  HELP!!!

Hi there, i have problems with using the slide Video function. I can import the Video with no problem but when i try to drag and drop it on my slide it wont load. It stucks basicly on %50. I have H264 mp4, which i exported directly from Premiere. Could you help me? Becouse i realy want to use the video interactivity features of captivate. Thx a lot

I am trying to create a single zip package for a SCORM 2004 LMS that rolls together multiple Captivate Projects. The course has multiple levels, in the following format:Course (contains three modules and a course exam) Module (contains about four lessons and a module exam)Lesson (contains a variable amount of topics)Topic (actual Captivate Projects) I've attempted to make this work through the Adobe Multi-SCO Packager. Creating lessons by using the Multiple SCOs template on the Topics. Modules by using the Simple Remediation template on the Lessons previously created by the Packager. Lastly, the Course by Simple Remediation template on the Modules created by the Packager.  When I actually load this to an LMS, only the last parts work. Going into the Course only allows me to access the Module 1-Post test, Module 2-Post Test, Module 3-Post Test, and Course Test. If I load a Module instead into the LMS, the lessons only brings up the last Topic in the package. It does

Went out on a limb recommending Captivate (latest rev) and Captivate Prime as a eLearning solution. Absolutely stunned to find that a 6-year old program has "disappearing" slide navigation, and the recommendation is to render the file as a SWF format--on a Captivate Prime server. Other issues with font retention, substitution, lots of twerks and bugs to iron out, a 12-step checklist of things you have to tweak before you post to Prime. Really stunned that this product is in the Adobe product line, or that it is cared for as badly. We are trying to get help on these matters, but a 3-month job has now run into 6 months and my management is wondering why we did not go with Articulate or even a simpler LMS.  I don't know what to tell them. Our training provider seems to only want to sell us more training, and the individual bugs are as surprising to them as it is to us. But, in stellar software industry fashion, I am supposed to believe that the next version of the code is going

Greetings, I have been tasked by our project manager to find out if Adobe Captivate is able to work with Git for version control (The company has been using Captivate for a while as well as Git for a seperate portion of the work done). On searching the community, the most recent information on this topic I could find was from 2018 advising that Captivate is not very version-control friendly, especially with Git, which would view .cptx files as binary (referenced post: https://community.adobe.com/t5/captivate-discussions/captivate-2017-and-version-control-git-etc/td-p/9619514). It additionally states that access to the necessary media for the captivate project would potentially be lost due to no longer having access to the exact paths needed unless the project was accessed from the development computer. Is this still the case? Have there been updates that have allowed for version control? Is a different program able to establish version control with Captivate more effecti

I have tried a responsive project and blank project with adding effects to objects. When I preview it from the timeline it works, but once I preview it in the browser it does not work. I even tried to publish it to see if it worked outside of Captivate, but nothing has happened. Can someone help, or point me to a tutorial that solves this?

Hi all, I have all of my slides set up with advanced actions that only allow the user to continue to the next slide when all buttons are clicked and listened to. I also have programming to allow for users to rapid-fire click through buttons on slide revisit without being "locked" in to listening to a certain button. The client wants a play/pause button, but the inbuilt playbar allows the project to continue and overrides my programming. Is there any way I can make a play/pause button that does not interfere with my advanced actions?Thanks!

Hi All,I would like to have the Rewind button on the Playbar to jump to the second slide not the first when the user clicks it. Is that possible? It's for a full screen software simulation and parking a button on it would look strange.  I'm using Captivate 2019 with the latest updates.  Thanks,
