Captivate

When I record and then play a module using the PC speakers, it sounds great regardless of volume level. When I record and then play a module wearing headphones, there is a low buzzing noise (electrical hum) in the background the entire time (regardless of which headphones I use or what volume level I have set). Any ideas on how to solve this (as I do not know whether my users will be using headphones or not). Thanks in advance,

Hello there, Is there any body here who has experiencied troubles by reloading content in an iframe once the slide has been reloaded too?.I have created my own control bar (rewind, play, reload, foward) and specifically for the reload button I used two techniques:1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmyF4_Ywge82. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFrJut_Ve3c&t=2s In any case if I have an iframe into the slide, the content inside the iframe is reloading. I'm using Century Gothic in a number of variables and they all display correctly in published projects as long as the font is installed on the computer where the published project is opened - both Mac and Windows machines.. This works fine in both the Chrome and Firefox browsers but NOT in Safari. I've tried several things, including the methods well detailed here: https://sepyle.medium.com/use-any-font-in-adobe-captivate-when-publishing-in-html5-8b03d2cabd7 Even when the Century Gothic font is installed on a Mac, it will display fine in Chrome but not in Safari. Instead, the default Helvetica font is used. There must be more to do to force the Century Gothic font to display correctly as dynamic text (from variables) in Safari.  Any ideas would be most helpful. Thank you! Charlie

Hi, the issue started a few weeks ago when Adobe added the ability to choose a profile when signing in. See, we have two accounts. One is a Team account named “Instruments Isaac” that is hosting Acrobat, Photoshop, etc, and another one is a VIP account named “ISAAC instruments” that is hosting Captivate alone. I have a few users that use both Captivate and other Adobe products, that are not hosted on the same account. The problem is that they can't be signed into both accounts at the same time, so every time they need to use Captivate, they'll need to signout from their account, sign back in, choose the proper profil to use Captivate, but when they'll need to use Acrobat DC, for exemple, they'll have to sign out of Captivate, so they can sign into the other account and start using Acrobat DC. I've tried to consolidate both accounts, but since one is a Team account and other one is a VIP, Support told me that it couldnt be done. The other thing I've tried is to host

Hi, I need to migrate some old flash interactive content with has (complex interactivity and animations) into HTML 5 to be uploaded to an LMS, some of the interactivity shows a graph that changes based on the variables entered by a user and some have drag and drops exercises.  My question is, is Adobe Captivate capable of doing this or do I need to look at other advanced Authoring tools on the market. Any help would be greatly appreciated.kay

Hi everyone. A slide with a video that supposedly plays automatically seems to jump immediately to the next slide. This is the slide:There are no advanced actions on entrance to the slide that could go to the next slide. Indeed, this slide had the same video but with the other option (the one that accepts closed captions); I inserted the same video but this time the other option because my client wants the slide bar. Has something similar happened to you? Thanks.

Hello,I'm having an issue with the Retake button showing when published in HTML5. It does appear when doing a Preview (F4), but a publish and upload to ScormCloud, CSOD, or a preview in HTML5 (F11) it does not appear when the quiz is failed. Some of the settings and troubleshooting information below:Captivate 2019 - up to dateTried Chrome and Firefox - same result with no Retake buttonQuiz attempts set to 3 (tried infinite as a troubleshooting method)Show Retake Button is selected in Quiz OptionsCache was cleared and relaunched the preview, same resultTried SCORM 1.2 and 2004 (prefer 2004 for this module)Quiz setting - Pass Required. Is it possible to save Drag and Drop Interaction settings when creating a copy of a Captivate slide? I would like to create a file of templates for future use, but when I copy and paste from my original slide, I lose all the drag and drop settings. What am I doing wrong?

And with Tabulator, we have only the navigation in control.My first problem is related to smart shapes. Hello! I just did a fresh install on a new work laptop of Captivate 9 and it keeps crashing when I open a file.  I tried "run as admin" and I cleared my cache.  Any ideas? I'm wondering if it's a security/software conflict of some sort.  I've never had this issue before. Thanks.

Media5. Video6. Slide Video7. From your computer8. Browse file path > select file (file is saved on my desktop)9. Progressive Download10. Stage11. Ok12. Hello, I am recording a software simulation in Captivate 2019, windows 10, when exporting the clip, I can see the mouse arrow (pointer) is much lower than it should be. This is a problem when you show items in a list.I changed the size in W10 settings, nothing changed. Any idea someone? thanks in advance.

I have uploaded SCORM files to our LMS but test group has reported that if they close the video without getting to the end, it marks the video as complete. Is there a way to force the users to watch the entire video to mark as completed? There is no quiz attached, the course is simply a short video.Does anyone have any suggestions (apart from actually adding a quiz at the end)?  

Running Mac OS Big Sur 11.6. Tried installing Captivate 2019. Once software was installed, after launching it, the splash screen comes up with "loading..." text and almost immediately an error message about template files (see attached). I used to have Captivate 2019 installed on this same machine, same version OS. I uninstalled the software, made sure all related files were removed (used the Adobe Uninstaller), restarted computer, downloaded the .dmg file again, restarted computer, made sure all other applications were closed, installed software, DID NOT launch it but again restarted computer, and then tried to start Captivate. Same error. 

Hi everyone,I have an issue where I have created several hyperlinks to external URL locations outside of my course, creating in Adobe Captivate 2017. Specifically, I've set each of the hyperlinks for text, buttons, and shapes to have a new window target behavior. Everything works fine when I test on the web server.The main issue is when the course is published to our Learn Flex LMS using SCORM 1.2  When clicking the links to navigate to the external URL locations a new tab is created in Google Chrome or Internet Explorer web browser. Unfortunately, the original tab with the course closes and requires the end-user to open the course again within the LMS. Is anyone experiencing this issue? Hi All,Blame Lilybiri for creating an Advanced Actions monster.Lilybiri gave the instructions for, upon quiz retake, using the system variable "cpQuizInfoAttempts" to skip the intervening course content and display just the quiz questions. This works perfectly, just what I wanted.... then. NOW...  I want to create an option:1: Click Retake Quiz button2: Have a slide display giving the user a choice:--- a: take me directly to the module's quiz-- b: let me review the module's content before I take the quiz Now I can insert this navigation slide in the modules _following_ Module 1, BUT the Retake Button goes to the first question of the quiz.  I don't see a way of cheating and having the first "quiz" slide a navigation slide that allows for retaking the quiz or reviewing content. There may be a conditional action that would allow for this, but I am now beyond my very limited knowledge.Is there a way to have the Retake Button go to the slide BEFORE the first q

Hello.When I upload my course to the virtual classroom, students must complete all the lessons in order to access the exam. The problem is that some specific lessons, even if you finish them correctly, do not come out as finished and are seen as incomplete.Does anyone know what this error is due to or do you have any advice to prevent this from happening when creating my future courses? Thanks

Hello,I'm trying to make minor text edits to a source file that someone else created.  However, when I preview the file, I see a bunch of items that I don't see when I'm editing it.  I click on a button and text appears in preview, but I when I go back to edit, it's not there.  Any idea if this is pointing to an external text file that I don't have?Thanks.
