Captivate

Can anyone help? I need to track (report to LMS) users that answer a final question and submit 'no'. It is the only question in the deck. Do I need to do it as a quiz or will interactive buttons work? What do I need to add so it reports back to LMS? thanks

I have created a training course with a yes or no acknowledgment slide at the end (set up like a quiz). Basically the user will progress through all the slides and then click either 'yes' or 'no', then 'submit', at the end to say they comply with the regulations within. If they click 'yes' I need the LMS to report as 'complete' and if they click 'no' I need it to report as 'in progress'. Please can someone tell me what preferences within quiz reporting or other back end areas to tick so this works correctly. It is difficult for me to test as I do not have access to the LMS data so currently a bit of a stab in the dark. Thank you

How can T return my english license number and get one for the german version???

I have a video hosted on Vimeo. The 'Where can this be embedded?' setting is set to 'specific domain' or our domain.  When I try to embed the video into Captivate I get the following error: 'Sorry, Because of privacy settings this video cannot be played here' I understand that when on my computer I am not on my domain and I get the error. When I upload the published Captivate file to the correct domain I get the following error for the embedded Vimeo file: '404 | Not Found'. The URL is correct. Do I really have to make my video available to be embedded to any domain? That seems like a big security compromise. Is there any work around that anyone has found? My version of Adobe Captivate is 19 build 11.5.5.678. Thank you in advance.

Hello Everyone:I need help re-setting the content of a Text Entry Box on the same slide. I have a numbers' project, which includes 10 buttons on the same slide. Each button represents a number which plays audio (name of the number).  Users will type (Text Entry Box -TEB) in letters the name of the number. If the name is typed correctly, the corresponding button is hidden. However, I would like (via Advanced Actions or other means) to reset the content of the TEB so that users can re-type the name. Once a number is hidden, I like users to continue with the rest of buttons without going to a different slide. Can someone help me with this issue? Sincerely,

I am using Moodle 3.11. I create content in Captivate and then publish a SCORM 1.2 file to upload into Moodle. Any slide/page that has a .svg image shows up as a pop up screen instead of appearing on the page. For example: When I select next on the previous page I get...   If I close that window I get...     Which should actually be this...    This worked just fine in Moodle 3.7. Any thoughts?

Hi all, I have been publishing my simulation as a video. On the first slide, I created a custom background of green. Then I added some titles. All is well until I publish and I get a thin white vertical line on the right of the video everytime. The screen caps are all good, but when I make a custom slide, this line shows. Is this an anomaly or am I creating the background wrong. Thanks!

Hi, I am working in Captivate to create instructions for an ultrasound machine (knobs and switches).I want to put a button on an image (select which button does what). In a non-responsive project this is peanuts, in fluid-boxes mode, the hotspot always scales out-of-position.I have tried the tips from Adobe but the hotspot/button keeps on scaling out of position: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/captivate/kb/issues-creating-hotspot-question-responsive-project.html I have also tried the 'lock size & position / smartshape'... Is there a way in Captivate to maintain the position of an overlay shape (for button/hotspot) to the image in the back? Same for drag&drop ... thank you!  

Hi everyone, Can Captivate 2019 be configured to publish content using the "en-gb" language tag instead of "en-us"? My company is using a proprietary LMS which will only recognise content using the "en-gb" tag. I'm hoping that I can use Captivates settings to change this rather than have to try and source dev time to changing how the LMS operates.  The closest I have found is the Project Publish setting under preferences however the only option here is English (US) as well as Deutsch, Spanish, French, Japanese and Portugese Brazil. Is captivate limited to only publishing with the tag "en-us" and is there a way around this other than manually editing the published files? Thanks

Hi there!I want to use graded MC questions with partial scoring and I want to give negative points for wrong answers. While this does not seem to be a problem while the question slides are shown in the main project (under PROPERTIES>Options I can assign negative points to an answer), the option to select partial score disappears when moving the question to a question pool and I cannot assign different scores to individual answers.In this forum I did not find a solution for previous versions of CP; does anyone know whether a solution is available for CP9?Thanks and regards, Joerg.

I can't get the Drag and Drop Interaction Wizard to show up again. I want to be able to see my mapped answers WHILE I edit the slide, for example when I type in the Drag areas. Is there a way? I know there's a button "Set correct answers" in the interaction options, but that won't let me edit the slide while I'm viewing it.

I am creating a click and reveal slide that has three separate SmartShapes with text that I want to reveal. I have three images that when clicked on will execute an Advanced Action that will show the SmartShapes. What I cannot figure out is how to return to the slide and have all the images showing without the SmartShapes. On the screenshot you will only see one of the SmartShapes; I hid the other two so the slide can be seen. The Click and reveal does work, I just cannot return to the slide. Hi guys,I am looking for the possibilites to set up an online escape game for my company, with around 1000 employees. It should be 4-5 slides with quizzes and riddles. One can only jump to the next slide if you solved all the riddles on the previeous one. Also I would like to incorporate some videos or sound files (e.g. if you click on a person in the photo on the slide, a video window pops up where he is speaking and giving hints for the next riddle).I would like the employees to play this game all together simultaniously, in 60 teams (6-7 people per team), they  would connect with each other on Microsoft Teams and get there via a link. Is that possible? Where will my game be hosted? Is it some Adobe Cloud or sth else? Would it be stable if 1000 persons simultaniously play? Sorry for maybe stupid questions, I'm new to this kind of things 🙂 Thanks for your repliesEvelina

When I sign-in to Adobe Captivate with the lincensed account, an pop-up appears, Update Required. Even though everything is updated, operating system and default browser. I have latest Adobe Captivate installed, Adobe Captivate 2019 version 11.0.1. Can anybody help me with this? 

I'm trying to setup a training project which has multiple sections corresponding to different categories within the training.  After each section I'd like to setup a quiz which draws a few questions from the question pools to do a knowledge check.  After the knowledge check I'd like to allow the user to review the questions of the preceding section before moving to the next section.  Due to the nature of random questions I'm using graded questions from the question pools.  In a training project with 4 sections, I would need 4 quiz review slides.  It looks like currently the quiz review slide is automatically generated for all quiz questions in the presentation.

I have a microsoft teams recording that I've put into a Captivate file, but I cannot get it to import into my LMS. I'm trying to figure out if the issue is with how I've set up the Captivate project or if it's an issue in the LMS. I have set up the project like I've done every other project, compressed the video size, published a zip file, just like every other course I've done. But when I try to import it I get an error that the zip file contains the wrong kind of files. This is the first time I've tried a video from Microsoft Teams. Do I need to do anything differently with that type of file?

Hello,I'm using Captivate 2019, build 11.5.5.553 on Windows 10 Pro. I just started developing a new eLearning project and discovered that I can no longer insert Character assets. I open the Assets window, select Characters, open the character gallery (Anna, Arthur, etc.), select the desired image, and click insert. The screen darkens, it appears to be working, and even shows "Inserting Asset" but the image does not appear on my slide, nor in the project library.I tried clearing Cached Projects to no avail. I also tried the steps listed in this post although it is a different problem https://community.adobe.com/t5/captivate/issues-with-asset-panel-in-adobe-captivate-2019-release/m-p/11340288#M283381 Any ideas of what to do would be most helpful.Thank you,Ben

Customer requirement is to develop a single course, which has 4 submodule and has 4 different users accessing it on LMS.This is a team activity, where the users for each role play will be different under the same course.We need to track each submodule separately for scoring. At the end a collective score of all 4 submodules needs to be collated to decide whether the team has passed.Kindly let us know if this can be achieved using SCORM 

On all of my Captivate Projects, I insert freestanding demo videos into a blank slide following a simple demo slide with music and or voice narration. On the video embed slide, how do I get the audio that's part of the embedded mp4 I've imported from a Camtasia Project to start playing at full volume from the start of the autoplay? The mp4s are all fine, as separate objects. No volume issues. As are the Camtasia projects, the audio plays normally. But after I use Media (dropdown), Insert Video from File Path, and publish to HTML5 and load into my LMS, every single video has a muted or lowered volume level consistently across all my work. This seems more like a setting than a bug. But I saw nothing in the help files or forums.

Hi there, I'm having trouble with my Pause/Play button and wondered if anyone has a solution? I've built it with a conditional advanced action: If cpCmndPause is equal to 0, Pause and Change State of PausePlay5 to Play (and resetting this in the Else action). Sometimes this button works perfectly, activating the first time it's clicked, and other times this button requires two clicks before it will work. When I test on mobile, the button sometimes does not work at all. Any advice on settings to change/check? 

Hi!  I am new to Captivate, using it to create software demonstration videos. I have a project in Captivate 2019 (11.5.1.499), where I have 3 video demo slides.  Two of the three have an issue when I publish the project to HTML5 and view the index.html, where at the end of the demo timeline, it briefly flashes an image of the beginning of the demo up before moving to the next slide.  Originally, I had put an image on the video demo timeline to introduce the demo and this was what flashed up. I removed the image and now it flashes up the beginning of the video.  The only video demo that doesn't have the issue is the one that never had the image, so I suspect something to do with this but I don't know how to make it stop. Any ideas to resolve this? (that don't involve re-taking all my videos)

I have completed a search but couldn't see the solution to my issue.I am trying to install Captivate 2017 on my Windows 10 HP 64bit laptop. I have Captivate 2019 installed with no problems but now need the older version to work on client files. As soon as I click on set-up.exe, I get an error message saying that the installation has failed (Error code: 103) and that a restart is required. Restarting does not resolve and it comes up with the same error message every time. Sometimes it lets me get as far as inputting my Adobe ID but most of the time it fails before that happens. I have tried the following:- Downloading files using a different browser- Turning off all security settings and firewalls- Running cccleaner- Running as an administrator- Trying to install from safe mode- Uninstalled all other versions of Captivate- Closed all browsers and other applications whilst uploading- Run programmes to check/remove malware viruses (none found) My IT tried for several hours

Hello,The last slide of my project is a carousel of 4 images (from the Learning Interactions). The timing for the slide is 3 seconds. When I publish the project the carousel plays in loop. I could not find a way to stop the loop and just finish the play. Any ideas about this? What am I missinng?Thanks in advance!
