Hi- What are the best practices for content to scale properly within any browser size? I don't see a dynamic (100%) setting.

Hello, I'm really hoping someone can help. We work with a 3rd party vendor and that provides games for us to use within our year trainings, and when I upload them under Media > HTML5 animation, I get the message "Connection Lost!" Close and reopen the training to continue.  Any idea what can be causing this? 

I have cleared my cache, checked for updates, quit and deleted preferences.... but when I open a blank project or responsive project I see a black screen! I have tried Command+0, Command+1, Command+2 - View>Magnification>Best Fit.... they all do NOTHING.   Not sure if I just have bad luck... but there is not a project I have worked on where I have not ran into issues with Captivate.      only way to see it is if I zoom out ALL The way... then slowly zoom in... move screen back in view, zoom in more, then move screen back in view. What's happening?   thanks, mark

I have a video in my captivate project and I want to learner to be able to see how much time is remaining in the video when they are taking the course. I put the video in as an event video and it has a progress bar at the bottom but does not tell the actual time remaining. Is this possible to give an actual amount if time left? If so, how do you do this?

I have a PC version and mac version of captivate 2019In the mac version an identical slide doesn't work properly.  The video is behind the background of the slide whereas on the PC version it is in front where it is meant to be.  The video is on the top on both slides.  But when i play it in preview or in HTML 5 browser the video isn't visible except for it's very top edge when playing the mac version.

...Hello !...I'm working on a game project and I have a strange issue...I'm collecting numbers in TEB (and saved them as variables named "D1_1", "D1_2", ... , "D1_6")And I want to add these 6 variables, the result would be another variable ("Total_1")...(Of course I can add them using the Captivate's Expression action but it would add more variables, need 5 actions... So I wanted to use Javascript !...)And to add these 6 variables with Javascript it would need  just a line of code :Total_1 = D1_1 + D1_2 + D1_3 + D1_4 + D1_5 + D1_6;After having a problem (my variables considered as string and not as numbers), I looked in Js ressources on Internet and found that I have to add :Number(Total_1);And it seems to be ok : But If I let one TEB without answer, the same problem (string and number) occurs :  So... I need your help !(I already found a solution by adding the default text of "0" in the TEB... But I would  prefer that the TEBs were cleared...)Thanks in advance

I had Captivate 9 installed on a laptop that had a hardware issue not worth fixing. Purchased a new laptop and just transfered the old NVM hard drive so I do not have to reinstall anything. Now Adobe Captiovate is asking for license key. I pulled my registered License key from my Adobe account. Account doesn't show any Activated Devices, but I get this error message:I cannot deactive since license on the new laptop with the old NVM hard drive. I called customer support twice, they cannot help me free up this license. (There only option was to sell me a new support/license!) How do I get the Adobe Licensing Server to reset my activation count?Support for this version ends soon, so I do not have much time.   

I am currently using version 11.5.5. I regularly use Merge With Bakground to overlay images over a background image (to cover mistakes, or  updates to a systemn screenprint) and merge it to background. However, this week I am having an issue where the merge is only covering half of an image. So let's say there's a 2 inch area on the background I want to cover. I create a 3 inch shape and overlay it completely, and merge to the background. Only half of the 2 inch image is covered after the merge. It's driving me crazy. Anyone have any thoughts or fixes?

I always thought the built in "Continue" button on the Quiz Results slide wa sthe button that passe dthe course completion status and score to the LMS. However, in speaking with an Adobe Captivate technician today they stated it is exiting the course (either through closing the browse ror through the "Exit" button on the play bar that sends the status and quiz results to the LMS. I have a client who is telling me the ONLY way the results seem to be going over is by hitting the "Exit" button on the play bar. The "Continue" button (which I re-named as Submit Score and to continue to a final congrats slide, only moves the project to teh congrats slid ebut does not trigger any information to the LMS.  My question is what button or functionality trigger sthe status and scor eto an LMS? Also, what is the purpose of the auto programed "Continue" button on the Quiz Results slide? Thank you!

Hi, Just wondering if I'm not making a SCORM project only exporting to a movie file, then does it matter if I use the fluid boxes vs. the old fashioned blank project? Thanks!

I'm facing an issue with captivate on my computer. Whenever I am opening adobe captivate the system is not responding and then it close the program automatically. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the program but it didn't help.

Hi all,I am currently Adobe Captivate 9 and I am wondering if it is technically possible to add a clicking sound to the Submit buttonin the question slides?I have looked into this and I am thinking that this is not feasible but I just want to confirm.ThanksKeith

I made fluid boxes in a slide, and then I put text captions inside of them. However, once the text was inside, I couldn't seem to access the fluid boxes anymore. I double clicked on the fluid box, but it still only highlighted the text, not the box. Is there a way to do this? Screenshots are shown below.

Hi all, I have recently upgraded Captivate and am trying to create a template using Myriad Pro Light but it is not available in the drop down menu. I am creating coporate e-learning so font is non-negociable, unfortunately. Is there a way to reinstate it? Thanks! 

I have a button on the slide that pauses it after a few seconds but the audio keeps playing.  How do I fix this?

Dear all,I'm trying to create a project with several steps like a mission. And the learner as to follow step by step and, and pedagogically all the element should stay in the same page.I know that with Articultate it is possible to create a project with the possibiliy to scroll the page, is there a what to do that with Captivate ? Thank you,Karim

Hello, I'm having a project when I close caption in Captivate.  I use Word to create my story board, then copy and paste to Captivate for my closed captions.  When I change the font to white, Captivate won't make the changes to the Project level and I must instead change each slide caption line to white.  Is there a way to correct this from happening as it's very inefficient?  Thank you.  

I'm working on converting all of our Captivate simulations from .swf to HTML5.  Unfortunately I cannot locate the original Captivate files for 9 of our lessons; I only have the .swf output files.  Is there a way to open the .swf with Captivate so I can publish it back out as HTML5?  These are interactive simulations, so I can't convert to MP4, FLV, or other video outputs.I have both Captivate 5.5 and Captivate 8.  These courses were originally made with Captivate 5 or 5.5.I also have Adobe Animate CC or Media Encoder if anyone knows of a way to accomplish the same end goal with another program. 

Saw a discussion on this in the archives, but didn't exactly address what I was hoping. Basically I'm hoping to use a Text Entry box to allow a user to save notes for the project. Yes, I know that there is a notes widget, but I'm not a fan of it. Is there a way to remove the automatic pausing of the TEB? Or is there something else someone else has done to allow users to take notes rather than the Notes widget?

Hi all, I have an issue with reentering my published elearning. When i close the tab in my browser, and reopen the elearning, it starts all over from the beginning instead of reentering on the last visted page. I had hope with the "self paced learning" feature, but this doesn't work either.  Further information:I'm not using a LMS. It's just the published elearning files on the customers intranet.The Adobe Version is Adobe Captivate 2019 Release, 11.5.1.499OS: Windows 10.Tested browser: (Edge [Version 91.0.864.67], Internet Explorer 11 [Version 1909, Build 18363.1679]) I hope someone can help me. Best regradsPawel

I have a Captivate 2019 project with a quiz.  It works when doing a preview, but when I went to have it reviewed by other users some of the multiple choice questions didn't display the answer options, just A.,B.,C.,D. 

Captivate is frozen at this. The export box won't close, it is just not doing anything. The only think I can is Control + Alt + Delete and force close the program and start over. What am I doing wrong?

I downloaded captivate to my personal computer but have already deactivated it. It is stating still that I need to deactivate the other comoputer within 30 days when I try to log in to my account on my work computer... yet it already has been deactivated o nthe other one, deleted and deposed from the trash folder. What is a serial numebr that I can use to login to this product?
