Captivate

We are testing a module on our mobile devices. When the SCORM package opens in full-screen mode, the "action buttons" do not work.  However, if I take it out of full-screen mode then the action buttons work.   I thought this might be a publish settings issue, but this is only happening on iOS devices.   The Android device does not open the SCORM in full screen and there is no option to make it full screen. The module plays with no issues. This makes me think it's NOT a publish settings issue.Has anyone ever had this issue? If so, how did you resolve? It has nothing to do with Flash, as Flash met its demise.I'm attaching a video capture the shows what is happening.  Frankly, the video is not very helpful. It's probably easier to understand from the description.Thanks for any help you can provide!

I am trying to work on my mac with captivate. I've been working on a PC up until now. On my mac, the slide does not appear centered when clicked in the film strip. Then, when I try to click on it, it disappears. The properties tab allows me to go to the fluid boxes within the slide but I can't see them. When I click out of it and back to the slide it reappears... Hopefully that explanation makes sense. Thanks!  

I'm running Captivate 2019 v 11.5.5.676 on a Macbook with OS Catalina 10.16.7  Why, when I try to drag new audio or a graphic into a previously built slide, do I have to do it twice?I can drag a properly formatted audio file from a finder window into the timeline or the slide view, but it never works the first time. It always works the second time. What's up with that? And when will I be able to upgrade to Big Sur?  On HelpX:Adobe Captivate (2019 release) is COMPATIBLE with Big Sur.If you launch Captivate (2019 release) on macOS Big Sur (macOS 11), the project editor becomes unusable.We are working on making Captivate (2019 release) to be compatible with Big Sur.  What does this mean?

I filled out the CSV Template to import questions, yet every time I try to Captivate freezes and won't respond. I cleared the preferences and there was no change. Hello, I'm working with our Learning Platform provider on hosting our SCORM content on their platform, despite a few different attempts exporting SCORM content with different settings, we are still unsuccessful. They can successfully host the content on their mobile platform but on the web version they get the following error:MissingKeyMissing Key-Pair-Id query parameter or cookie valueThey asked me to consult with the Adobe Captivate provider. Any idea what might be causing this issue? Is it due to wrong settings/export options?Thanks

I am having issues adding audio to slides on captivate. For example, I am adding an MP3 audio file by clicking media then audio and choosing the option to extend the slide for the length of audio. The slide itself extended to the lenth of the audio however, upon reviewing the timeline I noticed that the objects on the slide show in the timeline that they did not extend to the lenght of the audio file. I then clicked on each object individually and went to the timing tab and clicked on display for rest of slide.  Some of the slide are playing the auido that is attached and some of the slides are not playing the audio that is attached. I noticed too that when I started adding audio files that some of the slide began to advance on their own. (Each of my projects slides requires that you click an arrow to advance.) I am unsure of what the cause for these issues are ans would appreciate some input. Thanks! 

How to open .cptl file.Please advise

Just blasted through multiple simple PPT with audio projects and published as SCORM.  Previewing, everything looks fine, preview in HTML5 in brower, the PPT template shows up but none of the text or images on the slide.  They were imported using High Fidelity.  Rebuilt one with no audio, just pulled in the PPT and previewed in HTML5 in browser and the issue remains.  Any ideas?

Hello, I am new to captivate and just downloaded a template. On that template is an IconButton that brings up a textbox with more information when you click it in presentation. I am having trouble finding that text box in the editor, I am thinking about the Flip Cards Layout the Grids with Popup Layout and the Icon-Buttons Layout. 

Hello, I'm having a problem with my slide videos in a project I am working on.I am making a project showing how to use an app on an iPhone. The dimensions of the project are 357x559 in order for the project to be played on a mobile device.I'm using screen capture videos in the project - for these I am uploading them as slide videos in the project.I have to resize them so that they fit in the project - I can do so successfully, and when I preview the slides, the videos play fine. However, when I published the project, the videos changed in size (more narrow).I have looked on various websites for help, but haven't found anything that seems to help the situation.Just seeing if anyone knows what's happening or if anyone knows a solution.Thanks all for your time and help

Hi, I was already helped today (thanks!), now another problem showed up: I inserted a quiz-slide for a matching quiz. The background of all my quiz-slides is dark, the fonts are yellow. The drop-down menu in the matching quiz also has yellow fonts - but on a white background (like all the drop-down-menus). I have already tried to fix it by changing the font-colors (in the master slide or in the normal slide), but the fonts in the drop-down-menu don't change. Unfortunately, yellow on white is nearly invisible. I'm curious how this works...

I know this is a stretch, but has anyone been able to make a workaround for controlling some aspects of a VR project:Firstly, I've realised that it's better to create a regular project and insert VR slides, but that aside...Styling hotspot elements - other than either inserting custom PNG files as images.  The question is, where are the assets stored? Inspecting the source makes reference to canvas objects which I can't seem to locate in the JS file.Creating slide transitions between VR slides - adding hotspot links to other VR slides makes an unsightly jump between the 2.Zooming in / out on a VR slide - how is this possible?Fullscreen VR - doesn't seem to work even if publish settings are defined.Assigning Advanced Actions / JS to hotspots. I know this isn't built in, but I've managed to achieve some of this using the A-Frame JS library. So I guess this is a feature request of sorts. Anyone got ideas?

We're experiencing issues with our captivate coureses in Oracle LMS.  I'm trying to used execute a javascript to force the course to send a commit to the LMS more often.I've tried doing this through a button that would execute g_objAPI.LMSCommit(''); and also go to the next slide.  It doesn't seem like this worked as we don't see any additional commits on the LMS side. I've tried executing the script to happen upon entering a slide. Again  there was no increase on the LMS side.Does anyone know how to force a commit to happen through javascript within the course or by modifying the HTML file?  I'm currently working in captivate 6 thought I have 7 as well.

I am woking on a captivate course with a main menu that goes to multiple slide videos with overlay questions. I have buttons on each page to navigate back to the menu. However, when my video is done playing it automatically goes on to the next video, instead of going back to the menu.  Anyone know what I am going wrong? I have tried changing the action on exit action on the card tot jump to card and then pointing it to the menu but this did not work. The last video in the series does go back to the menu when it is finished. I do not see any differences in setting between the first and last video. 

I have an executive action that I am trying to execute.  It works perfectly until the correct combinations of variables is correct, then this does not work: So I have 6 conditions where they must be all met.    Once they are all met, they should do: But when they are all met, it just does nothing.   It will not change the state of my box or show the next button.  If I click on a wrong box to highlight it, then it works again, but every time I have the correct combination clicked it just freezing up. What I am trying to do, they have to click the correct graphs to answer the question, once they get the right sequence of graphs clicked the next button shows up.  I have a square over each graph with no color or outline that has a clicked state and it turns green when clicked and does not show if not clicked or clicked a second time.  If I have the wrong graphs clicked, the second box of If statements works fine and the green shading s

Hi to all, I have a course splitted into 7 different modules. Each module has been created in a separate cptx file. I want to link all this files and publish all the course. There is another method than copy/paste slides in one cptx file? Personally I would avoid this option because there are different master slides in each module, and because captivate seems to become very slow if number of slides >50 (if I join all the modules the file become of 100-110 slides). thank you in advanceap

Hi--I'm consistently getting this error with my SCORM learning. I've traced it to this line in CPM.js: var a = this.m_state.charAt(this.m_curReadPos),... Does anyone know what this is about? I've scoured the internet and found only a passing reference to the server not serving the JSON mime type correctly or at all, but I've added this line to my .htaccess file: AddType application/json json Just can't get past this. It works on the SCORM cloud, however. Please. Any help at all is appreciated. I'm absolutely stuck. Using Captivate 2019, v. 11.5.1.499. Thank you!

I recorded audio narration to a blank slide.  I wanted to go back and capture the video to match my existing narration.  Evidently, I can narration to a video capture but I cannot add video capture to a pre-recorded narration slide.  Is this correct? In other words, there is no way to do video capture on a slide with pre-recorded narration.  

Hi there,I am trying to upload some of my Captivate projects to Youtube, however I have been unable to do so. When I click 'Publish to Youtube' it goes through the motions of compressing SWF to Video, however after this I'm left with a blank screen that looks like this:I have waiting for it to load but nothing ever happens. The project is non-responsive, and I have tried with a completely blank project as well - to no avail. This makes me think it's something to do with my Captivate preferences but I'm unsure. I've also tried disabling my pop up blocker.If you have any ideas I would greatly appreciate the help.Thank you!
