I've been tracking down an issue I've seen with the HTML5 publish in Captivate 2017. Through testing, I've discovered that the published folder is smallest/most optimized when the publish path does not include spaces in any of the folder names. From what I can tell, the image files in the "dr" folder are better compressed and organized into fewer json files when published to a path with no spaces. For some of my movies, the overall size of the final published folder is cut in half. I have not changed any publish settings or other settings. I do not know if this is true for Captivate 2019 or later.
Hi Team, I need some help with the following: Auto-populate user's name on the Completion Certificate based on the LMS login credentials. Completion Date on Certificate in expanded format (e.g. 3 February 2020) Add an option to save the certificate as pdf format
I want to use the widget to insert a completion certificate in to the captivate project. How do I get it to function so that the user can add their name to the certificate. When I add it to the project it says Presented to: User Name but it wont allow the user to change that.
I have used the ability to spread a video across several slides and insert a knowledge check or additional info slide in between each video slide. How is the new feature in Captivate 2019, Interactive Videos, any better? What problem does it solve?
Hi All,in the Adobe 2019 release I am experiencing several bugs in the property panel.- sometimes the 'character' option does not show up for existing shapes with text. Here, the workaround that works for me is to add a new shape, write text into it, and then the option will re-occur.- now also the 'color' option for shapes disappeared. I did not find a solution for this one. It seems that there are some bugs or conflicts in the property panel. It's quite bothersome to produce content while spending time on trying to find solutions for software issues. Does anybody know a fix for this, or is this being addressed by Adobe?BestMartin
I keep getting this message. Please help
I'm using Captivate 2019 for Mac Big Sur (11.0.1) I created a responsive project, but once I published it the transitions are choppy and slow. My first thought is to add space between the beginning and end of each slide so the transition runs more seamless. I just am not seeing clear whole slide transition properties to play with. Any help is welcome. This is my first project so I might be missing something completely obvious. Thanks for your help.
Does anyone know how to publish an executable (.exe) file from Captivate without flash? If not, will Adobe provide a new release to remedy the flash expiration?
Is there a way or a setting that makes the table of contents close when you move your mouse away from the table of contents without having to click anywhere to make it close? I would like to make my TOC have sort of a hover feature. I watched a Paul Wilson video and changed the action for "on enter" to hide TOC and that will make the TOC disappear when you click on a certain section in the TOC but you still have to click on something to make the TOC disappear.
Hi all,In one of my project I deleted the "autoPlayButton" and I've uploaded a picture that I designed with the same color as the backgroud color of the project, but, when I launch the project It seems that there is an element above this picture, which change the color, I tried with to inspect the code, I've found this div, when I set the background-color to transparent, this element disapear which what I want, but when I go to the CSS file of the project, I find the class "cp-movie" but without the value of the background-color, and I don't knwo where I can find it to be able to edit it. <div id="project" class="cp-movie" style="width: 1920px; height: 1080px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); left: 0px; top: 0px; z-index: 1; display: block;"> Thank you for your help. HiFirst time posting for help or advise so please be gentle 😉 I am new to Adobe captivate and am having to learn Captivate on the job under a pretty demanding schedule, figuring everything out is quite challenging. One such challlenge has been adding shapes to responsive projects to create custom assets that i can work with for my company. They appear ok on Monitor view as seen on the attached then when I change to Tablet view (different aspect ratio etc) everything goes out of whack, not just width of an object but height aswel. This would obviously take a long while to manipulate every shape and is not practical building modules at speed. I have tried locking size and position, grouping, locking whilst grouping etc but am coming up short. Question is, am I going about this in the wrong way buy making more complex shapes from what is available within captivate or am I missing something? Examples attached Hope this makes sense. K
Hi! I am looking for a tool that will help me to update multiple SOPs with a single entry. Will Adobe Captivate help with something like that or can you recommend a different solution? Thanks for your time!
Hello,I'm using CP 2019 and have an issue with a software simulation generated Text Entry Box that is accepting any text. My settings are:- Password Field selected- Validate User Input selected (case-sensitive selected and one correct entry allowed)- On Success action is set to Enable a clickbox which is assigned to the 'login' button of the software application- Continue Playing the Project selected- Infinite Attempts selectedI know there's something I'm (obviously!) missing but I've been looking at it and experimenting with different options for quite some time so of course can't see anything amiss.Would be extremely grateful for assistance 🙂
Hello, Please can someone clarify how the status flags work in the built-in TOC? I'm guessing it is only a visual indicator for slides viewed? If I navigate backwards, and then forwards in the TOC, the slide is ticked as complete. This is not what I would want learners to see. Can the tick be based on anything other than slide views? Another case for why this is frustrating is when a learner revisits a course, as the slide they return to is automatically ticked as completed in the TOC even if they haven't interacted with anything on that slide yet. I am using AAs to show/hide the playbar inc nav buttons based on my completion criterea for each slide, e.g. click-to-reveal. So when the TOC slide ticks are showing but the playbar buttons are still hidden, it is poor learner experience. This is a linear course, but some learners may wish to go back before moving forward again, which is how the status flags can end up appearing early, or on re-visit as stated.
Hello everyone, ich have a problem with a file, maybe someone can help. I have a WBT where I have a picture that moves and zooms in and out thoughout my course. In every slide I have the following:Picture 1: moves and/or zooms in or outPiture 2: appears at the end of animation of pic 1 - it is more or less the size of pic 1 at the end of animation. Picture 2 shows for the rest of the project to prevent flickering between slides. When go to the next slide, Picture 2 hides after 0,8 sek, and a new Piture 1 is shown in the slide (which is exactly the same size and position of Piture 2 of the previouse slide)...So far so good, my slides show almost as perfect as I need them. My problem starts when I hit the button to go back. In this case I need the previouse slide to play from the begining and show again Picture 2, which had been hidden. So in the back button I have a script to show Picture 2, however Picture 2 is not showing again in my first slide! I have tried sooooo many things, b
Hi,Would appreciate help in resetting any survey slide to its original form (able to re-select and re-submit choices) after one revisits it via the Back button. Thank you.
I get no LMS options in the dropdown when I enabe reporting, but I have no problem in other projects. Any thoughts?
Hey,currently I am working on a project with many different modules explaining a software via simulation. No matter wether I am setting the scalable HTML content option on or off when publishing the project Captivate will export it as scalable content.Because when I open the export in Edge/Firefox/Chrome and pull the corner of the browser window with my cursor smaller also the shown project becomes smaller. The biggest issue is: When I click the fullscreen button of the browser in the top right corner afterwards the browser window becomes large but the shown project stays as small as before.Have anyone had this issue before?Grateful for any advice!Best regards, Moritz
Hello, I'm new to the group but not to Captivate. Been using it since Ver. 2, around 2007. I just finally gave in and said goodbye to ver. 9 and downloaded 2019. I made pretty regular use of the SWF animated arrows to point things out (nice eye catchers), but they're no longer working. Is there a good replacement that will work with HTML5? I used the Shadow arrows a lot and loved 'em.
The accordion widget permanently hides bottom terms once top terms are clicked when running in HTML5. They slide to the bottom of the page, out of view, and stay out. Accordion resets when leaving and coming back to the page. The only way to view bottom terms is to click them first, before clicking top terms on the accordion list. Fixes for this?
Hi. I was trying to build a project using Captivate that needs to be responsive. I'm using the fluid boxes, or trying to at least. I've built with Captivate in the past, but the last time I worked on a responsive project was back when there were break points. The problem I'm experiencing relates to phone-size issues where the shapes with texts are resized so small that the little box that you can click on to expand the text on a semi-transparent layer is larger than the shapes, which are buttons.I'd upload my file, but it is proprietary and I can't post it on the forum itself. Can anyone help? Thank you.
Im wrapping up a course in Captivate 2019 version 11.0.2.266. I've published, uploaded to SCORM cloud, and tested on many browsers on my PC. Things went well, but I also need to test on a Mac (I'm not a Mac user). I'm signed in as a guest on a coworkers Mac, when I open then link from SCORM cloud there's a screen that says pop-up blocked with a button that says launch course. I click the button, it opens a new window (which should be the actual course I believe) but the new window stays white forever and an error message shows on the original browser window. It says "Could not locate the integration implementation object". I tried sending multiple links from several different courses to see if the issue was course specific, or an issue with the Mac in general, and none of the courses will open... they all show the same error.I don't understand what the error means, and I'm not a Mac user.. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Where is the error coming from? A setting in cap
I'm trying to publish a slide show in Captivate 2019 to HTML5, and bullets that aren't in the slide show are showing up in the HTML. In addition, some of the text and objects are in different locations on the slides. What is the problem?
I have courses made in Ispring suite. I tried to merge them in Adobe Multi SCO Packager 2019 but i have the error: "SCO selected is of incompatible SCORM version!". I tried different version of scorm: 1.2, 2004 without success...Attached: imsmanifest.xml
I have an issue using buttons as "Press to continue" buttons. When I preview my completed project the button works fine (Whole surface area of button works as intended), however when I convert the project to scorm and upload to my LMS (TalentLMS) the button only functions as intended on the lower 25% of the button surface. Previewing the project in the scorm cloud has the same effect on the button, this suggests that my issue is adobe captivate related. Any solutions to this issue will be greatly appreciated.
