I downloaded and then the insstaller was a blank screen.  What is the solution to this?

Is there documentation I'm missing on this subject? For example a button in the Animate animation that tells the Captivate slide to continue? I don't think I can callback from within the iframe. Or a button in Captivate at the end of the animation? I tried but it is hidden by the animation when I publish, even though it is on a higher layer. The only workaround I've found is to make the animation background transparent but this is obviously not ideal. And when I try to set the z-index of the animation (.cp-WebObject) to -1 it is covered in white by the button layer.

I'm working in Adobe Captivate 2019. The Learning Interaction Image Zoom works fine in the editor, but stops working when it's published. The only way I have found to make it work is to publish as both HTML5 and SWF and to host it to a server. The issue is that we're moving away from SWF. Is there any way to make this work as just HTML5? If not, will Adobe be updating Captivate to allow this? SWF will not be supported for long, and Captivate feels like an application that Adobe is neglecting.

Hi there, I'm creating a responsive module and have 2 questions.  1. My button moves off the slide in the phone view. I've tried a bunch of options and for some reason the button always goes off to the right in the phone view. Destop view  Phone view 2. I want to loop a slide until the user clicks a button. There is a video playing on the slide. I created 2 slides that are identical and the second slide should loop to the first one on exit. It works for 1 loop but then it just continues to the next slide. Randomly it will work properly (without me changing any settings).   Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help. Leanne

This is our first time posting a Captivate 2019 project to a commercial Cloud LMS.  The person posting the projects to the LMS said they had problems because some files at an @ symbol in the name.  I didn't name anything with an @ symbol.  The particular project has an event video in it. That seemed to give them a problem loading it but later they decided it was PNG images with the @ symbol.  Has anyone else ran into this problem and if I go searching through the published files and change the name will it crash the project?

With the upcoming discontuation of Flash, we are in the process of converting to HTML5.  We are having the following issue. When I launch it from my PC it worked fast and great. When I launch it from the interal Web site web server mapped drive, it is a little slower to load but it does and then works fine. The issue is when it is actually published and running through the web server on interal web site via link; at this point it just sits-and-spins. I have Captivate 2019 Release (11.5.1.499); I see that there is an update available (11.5.5) so, I will try loading that. I have used the HTML Tracker and it did not return any issues. I have created the HTML5 file as 800x600 with no HTML scaling. I’ve tried everything that I can think of; I welcome any suggestions.

I have created a project with four drag and drop quizzes. Each quiz can be attempted as many times as needed, and returned to at anytime. When all four have been completed successfully the Next navigation button on any of the quizzes takes the viewer to a final congratulations slide. All of this works fine. Here's my question: I would like the Success Caption to stay visible on the successfully completed quizzes. This way if a learner returns to a quiz they already completed it will show the success caption. Is there a way to have the success caption stay on for the duration of the lesson?

Hi there, I have tried to look through the posts but could not find a solution that I understood.I am currently trying to put a picture as a background in my master slide background. No matter what size I use, it always leaves white spaces. I am using a responsive project. Thanks for your help. See image. 

Hello, I've tried to research this in the community and general google search but still don't see anything on the topic. Issue: I've recorded a short .cpvc file (video demo) as a screen capture to publish a simple .mp4. The length of the video is less than a minute but I don't think that is the issue as the slide shows in full so it's not a case of  captivate not capturing the screen. The image captured is Internet Explorer 11. Problem: When I go to preview as a project, I see a black box in the lower right (maybe 15-20% of the video area). I do not see this when I go to preview the slide.  I do not see an option to remove and I don't know what it is. I initially thought it was the project narration but I was able to remove the audio and the box is still there. I've saved this to my desktop and published instead of to a shared foler. This also did not help. Please ignore the blue boxes in the images below which I've added for confidentiality reasons.

Hi Everyone, I am wondering if it's possible to control the Y position of the CC display area?  I have some a few boxes that I show and hide on a slide.  These are large and overlap the area where the CC is shown.  Can I set at a system level the Y position of the CC text?  we need it to be behind anything that we may display over it. Thanks!

I want to create a video training and want to try Captivate since it is highly recommended by others.  Therefore, I created an Adobe ID and downloaded Captivate 9; however, I am trying to install it and running into issue at "Provide a Serial Number".  I didn't receive a Serial Number in the email, or where can I find this serial number for the free trial?Appreciate your help!Thanks.

Hi,When I want to download character in the discover tab, I receive this error:A fatal error has occurred and the application is being terminated. Adobe Captivate has tried to save all your work in the respective project folders as ".cpbackup" files.And then Adobe Captivate doesn’t work.Would you please help me?

We are a little behind and are currently using Adobe Captivate 9 but plan on updating soon. Does Captivate 2019 offer a "Publish to PDF" option? We currently use this option to sometimes allow for offline viewing of our training materials. But since Flash will soon be going away I am wordering if the "Publish to PDF" option is still even available in Captivate 2019? If that option is not available, is there an alternative to allow viewing of offline training materials that still allows interactivity such as quizzes?

I'm currently developing a Quiz for an online course and have used 3 test questions from the assets section; they are multiple-choice, True or False, and Matching; they use the Alliance theme. These questions have a Progress Indicator Placeholder that reports "Question X of Y," located in the upper right corner on the master slide.  OK, so here is my problem. I added a drag and drop question from the assets section, but it does not have the Progress Indicator Placeholder that reports "Question X of Y" on the master slide. So I thought I could copy it from the other Master Slide that does have it and paste it to this Master slide. However, when I right-click on it, there is not copy command available, and Ctrl C does not work either. I looked under the Insert tab > Placeholder Objects but did not see a "Progress Indicator" placeholder. Hi,Win 10 Enterprise 64 bit with updates64 gb ramCurrently has Captivate 9 installed.My employer has approved the purschase of a license for 2019. I have downloaded 30 day trial to install until the purchase is complete.After download, extracting, and proceeding with the installation,  I'm having similiar problems like noted in many other forum posts, but Ive been unable to find a solution. I've moved the extracted folder to the desktop, ran the Set-up.exe as administrator, but still just a blank window with "Adobe Captivate Installer" in the title bar. Trying to close this window only displays "undefined". The application needs tb be closed in the task manager.I need to keep captivate 9 until I can confirm this will work on my current system. 

Hi,I'm able to open Adobe Captivate, but I'm not able to edit my slides. A black and grey screen is covering the slides and the slides disappear behind it. If I select an element from any of the slides. The slide disappears. I closed and re-opened Adobe Captivate. I opened a new project and copy and pasted the slides, but it seems like that this is a problem across the whole program. I hope somebody can help me. This is very frustrating as it holds me back from finishing a project for a client.

I have added an interaction to a blank slide which is a dropdown for information. The slide plays the audio intro and then the widget promptly disappears. I have adjusted the timing with all four choices (Specific Time, Rest of Slide, Rest of Project, and Duration of Animation). Within timing, I also adjusted from 5 seconds to 9999 seconds. None of those seem to help the widget from disappearing after the audio track plays. Screenshot is attached. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong.

Hi everyone Is it possible to hide all content slides when allowing multply attempts at a quiz, I have around 10 modules in a elearning package and each has a 2-3 question quiz after the module and I would like to be able to let the delegate retake either the entire course which i would just use a button and reset the quiz via javascript and jump to start slide or just retake the quiz without content slides showing inbetween the quiz question. Is this possible and could anyone give me some guidance in doing so. Michael 

I do not understand why there are these black box arrows. They are just normal text boxes. What is going on? Please help! 

I have a captivate project that was created from powerpoint that isn't filling the browser window when publishing to HTML5.  I have attached a picture.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am new to Captivate so I apologize if this question is absurdly simple or if it has been answered somewhere else in the Forum. I am trying to create a responsive project that consists of a single, graded, multiple-choice question with an explanation for each answer.  (The learner can only take the quiz once.) There will be 40 individual projects (approximately 1/week allowing for holidays, etc.) If the learner answers teh question  incorrectly, I want a slide explaining why that response is incorrect to be the first thing they see after submitting the answer.   A simple example would be: Question: What is the first letter of the alphabet?Answers: A, B, C, D If the user selects “B,” I would like the learner to go to a slide that says “B is the second letter of the alphabet.”  The learner would then progress through slides with the other three explanations.  (“A is the first letter of the alphabet.” “C is the third letter of the alphabet.” “D is

I am using a test-account and tried to modify a drag an drop template - it is the one wirh the light bulb an the puzzle pieces. In the filmstrip on the right I can see, that there are textfields for feedback as a  following slide, but I can not find them to use them for my own text. Sorry, I am a very beginner. Hope you understand the problem. Martina
