Captivate

HiI have created a simple webpage with some text.I have imported this into captivate as a zip file. I resize the webobject so that the scrolbar appear.Everything look as it should but for some reason I cant use the scrollbar of the webobject.When I open the html file in a browser it behave perfect but not inside captivate.I tried the built in scroll text widget. Same thing. Scrolbar not working.SItting in window and running in edge.Any ideas whats up?

I have several Captivate Simulations and we have turned on captions for success/try again messaging for the Click Box. Some slides only flash the correct message then it moves to the next slide. Others will display correct message for a few seconds then proceed. What is controlling the timing of the messaging for the captions. I have looked and I am not seeing anything that is clear to me. I have just downloaded the latest version of Captivate for Mac (running on apple silicone) and when I try to open Question Pool it crashes. I am not sure what to do. If I can't get this to work I may have to cancel my subscription and look at a different piece of saoftware. 

Hey there, I'm using Captivate 12.4. The blur feature is really greate. I had to use highlight boxes for bluring someting.Here is the problem, I can create a custom theme for myself. Each font, color other settings is working great but I can not customize Simulation Slide features, like I can not choose the font or default color of Insctructions box. And in which universe blur comes with a border in default setting?? Which I can't edit the blur default settings. In each slide I use blur two times, I change the Blur settings %40 to 20% and remove the border for each item.It is really imposibble to customize these settings? I also find customizable settings in under the ProgramFiles folder in captivate with all the themes, buttons and other items. What a surprise I can't find any item related to the software simulation slide items.What can I do for these?

I'm using the All New Adobe Captivate. My hotspots are gold in the project and in the preview, but when I publish the project, the hotspots are black. How do I fix this?

Good evening, When I publish a SCORM 2004 4th edition course in Captivate 2019, a bar displays at the top of the playscreen in our LMS that I do not like. I contacted our LMS vendor and they have informed me that it is a default Captivate Rustici bar, not our LMS's native bar. Does anyone know if there is a way to disable it? Our company has "old" 2019 Captivate for use with a third-party vendor's files that we need to edit (most of them are done in that version of Captivate).Occasionally, I'll get the, "Adobe Captivate could no open . . ." prompt for projects. Does anyone know if Captivate Classic does a better job at opening these problematic files?  

How can I change the default text-to-speech voice from Adam to one I want to use on every slide? Right now it seems I must change the voice selection manually on each slide. It seems to me there must be a better way. Thanks! Bill

Can multi-scorm packager be added to the new captivate?

The files InternalServerReporting.php and internalserverread.php contain lines that are no longer functional in the current version of php.I read somewhere here that it is necessary to find someone who can write php to modify them.  Aren't these files part of the functionality of Captivate and they should be kept up to date by Adobe? Anyway, if anyone here has already updated such files and cares to share, I appreciate the help. Or, if I had misunderstood the problem and need other information, I am grateful for any light you care to throw my way.

Hello,I am currently using Captivate 12.3 to create a "template" for a quiz. This quiz is limited to 1 attempt with a passing score of 80%. I have the Quiz Result slide (slide 7) configured to go to the next slide (slide 😎 On Pass and jump to the Quiz Failed slide (slide 9) On Fail. When I click Continue after passing it goes to the next slide as intended. However, when I click Continue after failing nothing happens and I remain stuck on the Quiz Results slide. Any ideas how to fix this? Screenshots attached of the properties.

We have developed a course using Adobe Captivate 12.4 and are testing its accessibility on iPad and iPhone with VoiceOver enabled. We are encountering the following issues:We have added multiple-choice questions using Adobe Captivate’s default Multiple Choice Question slide template. When selecting an option, the focus unexpectedly moves to the sidebar instead of staying on the selected option. This issue only occurs on iPad and iPhone; on Mac and Windows, the focus remains on the chosen option.When selecting any interactive button—such as the "Next" button on the playbar or the "Table of Contents" button—the focus shifts to an unrelated area. For example, selecting the "Next" button redirects the focus to the sidebar instead of moving forward as expected.We have observed this issue exclusively on iPad and iPhone; everything works as expected on Mac and Windows.

Having an issue with the 12.4 update concerning scrolling slides. After you reach the end of a scrolling slide and go to the next slide, the next slide will display at the bottom which requires users to scroll up to see the missed content. This was also mentioned by another person in the comments of last month's video with Paul Wilson. "Not sure if this is a 12.4 update issue, but my slides that have scrolling content in them linked to another slide with scrolling content are not loading at the top of the page. In other words, when you reach the end of the scrolling content on the 1st slide > click continue to the next slide with scrolling content, it loads at the bottom of the page, not the top!" Link to my original post: Scrolling slides do not start from the top of next... - Adobe Community - 14940068

I'm working on a project in Captivate Classic where I imported PPT slides with animations. When publishing the project all the animations stall and create pauses in the project as well as to the audio. Previously, we could export projects as SWF/HTML5 and the animations would work fine, but that's no longer an option when exporting.  Is there anything I can do that can get these animations functioning correctly or do I have to remake everything in Captivate for the functionality to work?

The animation is on top in html preview. I created an animation in Adobe Animate and imported into Captivate Classic 2019. I then created some image overlays and hotspots on top of the animation all on different layers above the animation layer in the layer panel. Nothing on top of the (exported as HTML5-Canvas) animation will  display in a Captivate HTML 5 preview in browser. Ideas? First time doing an animation import to Captivate. Audio issues as well - track won't play (even though the audio track in Animate was a WAV file at 44.1kHz at 16 bit). Any help would be appreciated!!

I want to add a "Rewind 30 seconds" to a slide containing a slide video.  While I have found some sample Javascript that looks like it might work, I have not been able to get it to work yet.  I saw someplace that getCurrentFrame was deprecated under Captivate 12.x.  The broader question would be, does anyone know where there is a reference manual for the objects, methods, and properties associated with the Javascript implementation in the new Captivate?  The more specific question would be if anyone has seen code that might get me in the ballpark for this "Rewind 30 seconds" Javascript.  Thank you!

I installed the new 12.4 version of my Captivate. I already had the new Captivate.  Afterwards, I got lots of cached folders on my desktop and have final versions of existing projects are missing. Please help!

Short version: courses published to HTML5 from Captivate 2019 are applying progress from one user to a different user on shared computers. This did not happen when we used these courses in the past, but it does now. The only major difference is we switched our LMS at the beginning of this year - and obviously browsers have been continuing to update. We discovered this because some users were somehow beginning in the middle of a course (like on slide 28) when they had never opened the course before. SpecificsI did some testing:I set User 1 to a new registration.I proxied in as User 1 on an InPrivate instance of Edge on a completely unrelated computer (never before used with either the LMS or course). The course started from the beginning.I progressed to slide 4 and exited the course. I exited that proxy and proxied in as User 2 in the same browser session.I launched as User 2 and was immediately taken to slide 4. I progressed to Slide 5 and exited.I exited that

Hello all,I am working on a presentation using Captivate Classic. Before anyone says to use the new one, I need the classic version for the 360 slides for this project. I am using version 11.8.3.8, using a windows 11 pro (version 22631.4169) Dell laptop. The issue I am having is that it published fine until I add audio to an advanced action. Here is the action.Conditional Tab:if Var_Fences is equal to 0Action:Show FencesIncrement Var_Fences by 1Play Audio FencesElseHide FencesStop Triggered AudioDecrement Var_Fences by 1 If I don't have the action to play the audio it is fine. But adding the audio causes the error.For the record, I used the built in text to speech option as this is a proptype version of the course for the SME's to evaluate. I'm new to the forum and didn't find a post requesting enhancements to future versions of the new Captivate.  I do like the new system but would love some editing enhancements.  For now I'll post this one which has really slowed me down when trying to adjust  timings for long video content.I would like to manually type timings for items on the timeline as we can in Classic.For example: For a video where you are placing multiple bookmarks that might have to be moved if you add a longer video in an edit, the timeline is elongated over several minutes, dragging your bookmarks with a mouse to a different location is extremely slow... editing where they are placed by simply manually typing the new starting point would be much faster than dragging things around on the timeline with the mouse.This might be able to be done already, but I haven't found it yet.Thanks!
