My "Link" function for texts has disappeared? I had a Windows update two days ago, and I don't know if that's the reason. In any case, I can no longer link highlighted text with anything.

Hi All! I've run into an issue I hope the creative minds here can help with.  Using Adobe Captivate Classic 11.5.5.552. I have a multiple choice quiz question with four 15-second event videos on the screen. The learner should watch them, and then choose an answer based on the videos. (See screenshot; it's hard to explain!) When published, one or more of the videos might show up as a black rectangle or flash. Either way, they are unusable. The problem is somewhat intermittent. Sometimes they all work fine.; other times not.  I've made the files as small as possible, to the point of losing quality. I thought I might solve the problem by putting the videos on Youtube, but it looks like that's only an option for slide videos, not even videos So, my first question is whether anyone knows what the issue might be and how to fix, or if anyone has other creative suggestions to make this basic idea work? THANKS!

I am a professor at a medical school. I have used Animate to generated an extensive collection of animated lessons.  These lessons are posted on the web at BioME.wvsom.edu. I have also used the canvas function of Animate to compose HTML excerpts of the full lessons. I want to embed these HTMLs into the learning management system we will be using at our school. That LMS is called Canvas, not to be confused with the canvas function of Animate. I have been told that I may be able to use Captivate to do so, but before I devote time to trying to get it to work I want to confirm that it might be possible. A potential method may be to import one of my HTML files into a Captivate slide. Then export that slide after setting the SCORM format. Finally, I would import the Captivate file into Canvas.   I realize few if any of you are familar with Canvas, but does anyone know if it might be possible to use this method to import a file into PowerPoint? Hello fellow Captivate users.Im on the latest update 12.3 of the new captivate. However this issue was present on the previous version as well.I have an issue with the TOC. Im not using playbar, my own buttons set up for navigation, one which toggles the TOC On/Off and the variable Project.LockTOC is set to true.I can still move between the slides when clicking on the TOC. What i want is for the users to be able to toggle the TOC On/Off to see where they are on the course but i want to disable movement using the TOC. Is this a possible bug?I tried everything, assign variable, using the interactions.Run javascript window.cpAPIInterface.setVariableValueEven though the project Project.LockTOC displays as true (i have put it on the slide as $$Project.LockTOC$$)  i can still move around the course using the TOC...Any ideas?

My colleague and I have been encountering persistent challenges while working with Adobe Captivate Charm to create interactive training videos. Hello, I would like to file a complaint about the Adobe CS service. I purchased the perpetual version of Adobe Captivate CC for about $1200. I have a total of three computers. After repeatedly installing and uninstalling Windows, I exceeded the allowed number of computers for my serial number and was connected to an Adobe chat agent named "Apurva." Previously, when I exceeded the allowed number, the agent would refresh the serial number for me if I provided it during the chat. However, this time, they refused to do so and instead, agent told me to discard my serial number and subscribe to the service, paying more money to use the program. How is this reasonable? Why would anyone buy a perpetual version if it's going to be made unusable like this? I'm really angry. Furthermore, agent claimed that this is the company policy. Hi,I'm stuck with this problem and I can't really work out whether I'm trying to do something impossible or whether I'm just setting it up wrong. Perhaps you'll have some advice to clarify things?I use a lot of SVG buttons for which I define custom states to which I add other design elements. As long as these design elements don't overlay the clickable area, everything's fine. But if they overlap the clickable zone, whether they're placed in front or behind it, I get interference with the clickable zone. So is there a way to preserve the clickable area while having other objects superimposed (whether smartshapes as in the example below or other imported SVGs)?I'm using Captivate 11.8 with fixed layout project.

Hello, Is there a shortcut to move an object on the timeline to tne end of the timeline?  Without having to drag it all the way to the end?  Example below, I would like to move the clickbox to the end of the timeline with some fancy shortcut, if there were one.   

I am working in Captivate 9 and every time I add a button it adds a pause to the timeline. How do I prevent this in 9?

I am noticing that a good number of the default multimedia elements (audio files) are damaged that are included with the Captivate. How do I open a ticket to have this investigated and resolved? When attempting to use various media files (not all however), I get the following message: "Audio Import Failed. Unable to import the audio file. Ensure that the file type is either MP3 or WAV. Also ensure that the file is not damaged." Again, these are the included default files in the Asset Audio library (not my own or other that I am importing). 

Hi, How do you allow learners to move ahead if they select an incorrect response? I want them to reattempt the quiz at the end if they are not able to pass, but currently Captivate doesn't allow that option.

I'm new to Captivate and I'm editing a previously created course.  This text box that is showing during preview says "Submit".  I do not see it on the slide in edit mode in order to delete it.  It displays for about 2 seconds, then disappears during preview.  I have tried Ctrl+A to select all, but that does not work. How can I remove this?

Greetings, Not sure if anyone else here noticed it but the newly released Captivate online training course has an issue with the exercise practice files. The included exercise files in the modules are in the CPTX format, not CPT. It appears they mistakenly used the former version of Captivate (Classic 2019) exercise files, not the new ones that are referenced and required in the training. Has anyone else noticed this?

Hey all, hope everyone is doing well. I'm just wondering if its possible to convert or open a scorm package published as html in captivate for editing. I've lost my cptx file on some of my modules as my laptop died and was not able to do some backup and only got the scorm file, instead of redoing all the work, I was hoping that there's a way now to convert scorm to cptx or with a use of third party software? Thank you so much.

I inherited a bunch of Captivate presentations that contain over 100 slides. While editing, I frequently have to jump between specific slide numbers (slide number 5, 60, 71, etc.). I can't find a "Go To Slide #" in any of the Captivate menus. Is there really no way to jump to a specific slide number?

I'm finding this version impossible to use.  I was previously using Captivate 2017 and it was so much more user friendly.  So far I cannot see how to remove/delete or resize images or text boxes.  I've just read that this version of Captivate is not compatible with older versions- if this is true it is completely unnacceptable.  I have many projects that need updating frequently.  This means I have to restart them from scratch? Are there any resources available which clearly show how to use the basics of this product? I am very disappointed in this new version. If I could return my license I would and search for a new product.

I am on Windows, using Captivate 2019 & publishing to our organization’s LMS, HealthStream. Here is the issue I am having with an assessment ( I have included screenshots of the settings in Captivate which I hope will be helpful) …I set the pass/fail option in Captivate to 70%. When a user takes the quiz and scores 85%, the LMS reports the score as 70% instead of the actual score of 85%. My client is wondering why his assessment is not available yet, so help will be greatly appreciated!  

Hi all - in Captivate Classic I was able to shorten my mouse length to 1 second and apply to all slides.  I cannot work out how to do this in the All New Captivate which is a nuisance.  Does anyone know if this is possible?  I asked ChatGBT but it could only give me answers from old Captivate which was no help.   Thank you

Hi, I was just working in Captivate 9 and for some reason my hyperlink option stopped showing. See screenshot.The icons are not visible any more. Just a few minutes ago I used it to make a mailto link on a slide and added a new slide to do the same and it stopped working.Does anybody know a solution for this? I restarted my computer but it didn't help.Best regards,Dick
