Captivate

I'm new to Captivate and I'm editing a previously created course.  This text box that is showing during preview says "Submit".  I do not see it on the slide in edit mode in order to delete it.  It displays for about 2 seconds, then disappears during preview.  I have tried Ctrl+A to select all, but that does not work. How can I remove this?

Greetings, Not sure if anyone else here noticed it but the newly released Captivate online training course has an issue with the exercise practice files. The included exercise files in the modules are in the CPTX format, not CPT. It appears they mistakenly used the former version of Captivate (Classic 2019) exercise files, not the new ones that are referenced and required in the training. Has anyone else noticed this?

Hey all, hope everyone is doing well. I'm just wondering if its possible to convert or open a scorm package published as html in captivate for editing. I've lost my cptx file on some of my modules as my laptop died and was not able to do some backup and only got the scorm file, instead of redoing all the work, I was hoping that there's a way now to convert scorm to cptx or with a use of third party software? Thank you so much.

I inherited a bunch of Captivate presentations that contain over 100 slides. While editing, I frequently have to jump between specific slide numbers (slide number 5, 60, 71, etc.). I can't find a "Go To Slide #" in any of the Captivate menus. Is there really no way to jump to a specific slide number?

I'm finding this version impossible to use.  I was previously using Captivate 2017 and it was so much more user friendly.  So far I cannot see how to remove/delete or resize images or text boxes.  I've just read that this version of Captivate is not compatible with older versions- if this is true it is completely unnacceptable.  I have many projects that need updating frequently.  This means I have to restart them from scratch? Are there any resources available which clearly show how to use the basics of this product? I am very disappointed in this new version. If I could return my license I would and search for a new product.

I am on Windows, using Captivate 2019 & publishing to our organization’s LMS, HealthStream. Here is the issue I am having with an assessment ( I have included screenshots of the settings in Captivate which I hope will be helpful) …I set the pass/fail option in Captivate to 70%. When a user takes the quiz and scores 85%, the LMS reports the score as 70% instead of the actual score of 85%. My client is wondering why his assessment is not available yet, so help will be greatly appreciated!  

Hi all - in Captivate Classic I was able to shorten my mouse length to 1 second and apply to all slides.  I cannot work out how to do this in the All New Captivate which is a nuisance.  Does anyone know if this is possible?  I asked ChatGBT but it could only give me answers from old Captivate which was no help.   Thank you

Hi, I was just working in Captivate 9 and for some reason my hyperlink option stopped showing. See screenshot.The icons are not visible any more. Just a few minutes ago I used it to make a mailto link on a slide and added a new slide to do the same and it stopped working.Does anybody know a solution for this? I restarted my computer but it didn't help.Best regards,Dick

Having the same issue addressed here: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2511645 when I launch the software and choose Video Demo the software crashes instantly.   Have deleted my preferences, run as administrator, no difference program cannot be used (or purchased) as a result.   Sincerely,   Jay Lepore (PII removed by moderator)    

I'm using Captivate 12 the latest available build. Perhaps I'm looking at this the wrong way, but I would expect to be able to play an audio file when a flip card is clicked and that does not appear to be possible.  The interactions button is grayed out when I try to attach an audio file.  Likewise, at the slide interaction level, when I hover my mouse over the interactions icon, I see the "cancel" symbol. I've tried creating an interaction that would play the audio file from the block that holds the information, from the card itself, to the image on the card, to the icon that you click on to flip the card over. No matter what I get the grayed out and unavailable interactions icon. Any ideas? Thank you!

I have recorded a Video Demo including system audio.Now I need to add a small audio file in this video, to start after a certain time (the audio file is only 15 seconds and must start after 10 minutes).Is this possible somehow (Captivate 9)?

Hello,When the user clicks on a button, it simply assigns a variable that I've created with 2.5.It works fine. But when the user exits the course and then reenters (on moodle), the variable just shows 2. I'm using Captivate 11 (2019).Any idea why this is happening?Thank you

I am trying to create an interaction where there are several images on a slide representing topics. I have different states of these images to clearly show when selected and visited. When the image is clicked, an interaction changes the state of a corresponding text box and also plays the audio file related to the text content.  Here is how I'd like this to work: Click on the image, see the text, hear the audio. Audio completes, image state changes to visited, a variable is updated to indicate completeness of this section, and what all sections are completed the Next button appears.  This doesn't quite work how I'd like it to. because if you click on IMG 1, listen to some audio and then click on another image right away before the audio is finished playing, you could blast through them all without really learning the material. I'm trying to figure out how to delay a next action by a certain interval so that the other IMGs won't become clickable until the audio

compatibility issue with SCORM 1.2 packages published in the New Captivate.We are unable to view courses on SABA Cloud (Cornerstone SBX) LMS that were created using the new Captivate. Instead, we just get a blank page at the beginning.Has anyone encountered this issue and found a solution?We tried publishing as SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 2nd and 3rd Editions and still get the same behaviour.

HiI have created a video showing a 360rotaion av a product.Added it as a slidevideoI set up different buttons that will spin the object to specific parts of the product. I am trying to figure out a way to creat a rewind function. Not just jump 10 frames back but a real rewind action. Possible?

I am having a problem where users who don't pass my quiz SCORM on the first try, they basically get stuck and no matter how many times they take it again and pass it, it is still marked as incomplete unless we go into our LMS back end and manually pass them.  This is a file I inherited from a previous Instructional designer, So I'm not sure if there is just a weird setting I am not finding or something else. My Pass fail percent is set at 84% and my LMS administrator did some trouble shooting on their end and confirmed it wasn't an LMS issue it is an issue with the scorm file. Here is their exact quote:"this leads me to believe that there is an internal issue within the SCORM file and how it's sending it's commits along with the type of commits it's sending to the portal during failure of exam attempts that should be reviewed within your course provider program"  Here are my settings, I was wondering if it was the 100% slide view issue, that I have seen on othe

PC running on Mini Mac M2 OS:Sonoma 14.3.1 Following a CPC crash (for no apparent reason) The CPC preferences> Quiz settings were corrupted as follows:The Quiz Required field set to Answer All - “The user must answer every question” changed to “Optional - The user can skip this quiz”.2.  Under “Settings”:The following check boxes became unchecked: “Shuffle Answers”“Review Mode Navigation buttons”“Allow User to Review the Quiz”All of my 15 modules have had to be reset and re-run. Also but I believe not relatedFlashing buttonsHTML5 in browser When an image button is repositioned and published HTML5 in browser, the button flashes between its original position and its new position. Hello!1) In my Captivate test project, there are two buttons and the two buttons have their own popups and close buttons. 2) The popups are initially hidden and will only appear if the buttons i.e. "Follow us" or "Contact us" are clicked 3) There is a smart shape used as a button called "Exit course" and it has audio inserted into it. 4) While the audio is playing if the learner clicks the "follow us" or "contact us" button, the "Exit course" audio should stop, and when the learner clicks the close button the audio should continue from where it stopped and it works fine. 5) When the whole audio from the "Exit course" smartshape is done playing, the learner clicks the close button which appears after clicking the "follow us" or "contact us" button. Hello! When I take a quiz, the Quiz Results page has an issue calculating the {correct-questions} variable. The quiz was made with the original click-boxes and text entry boxes that are inputted when you make the captivate quiz. I noticed the click-boxes will always count as a correct question whether the user clicks the box correctly or not. Text-entry boxes are counted accurately by the {correct-questions} variable. Here is a screen shot of when I answered every question wrong and all the questions were click boxes.   Here is a screenshot of the click-box properties. I am wondering if anyone has encountered this issue before and has a solution to fixing the {correct-questions} variable without redoing all the clickboxes. If I make a new click box, the {correct-questions} counter reads it accurately. HiWe ar working on a course for a product and was thinking of using a 360 (3d) image of the product that the user can turn around using the mouse/finger.  To explore the buttons/settings on the product we woould like to use hotspots. The hotspots would be attached and follow the product around the product when its turned.Could be alot to ask for but is this a possibility in captivate ?

Asset Panel is blank When you click Asset Panel on the toolbar, the panel appears empty. Solution Download Assetpanel.txt file and save it on your machine locally. Rename the file Assetpanel.js. Unable to download characters from the Asset Panel When you try to download characters from the Discover tab, a blank screen appears.
