Captivate

When I tried to copy paste the arabic text or import the translated word document the captivate only shows the text left to right.Kindly suggest how to fix this one. Thanks in advance. 

Hello everybody,We need to produce an e-learning course in several languages. Neo speech provides some languages but no german voice.I need 2 female and 2 male voices. Or at least 1 female voice.I considered buying a voice pack at another company. I found out about 3 companies.Do they work as integrated voices inside captivate?Here are the companys I found out:http://www.cereproc.comhttp://www.acapela-group.com/http://www.ivona.com Is it right, that when they have MS SAPI, then it would work?Because we have thousand of changes, it is not possible to record audio in a studio and it is also not comfortable to generate the voices on a stand alone tool.Are there other companies for this?Thanks in advance for you response!Best regards,Janet

We have a team using the same version of Captivate (listed in the subject line) and some of the team members are experiencing problems with the audio cutting out on published mp4 files several seconds into the video. All of our settings match. Is there any known issues that are documented somehwere that can help us resolve?  Thanks in advance!

Good morning -I've created a quiz project that uses pool questions.  When I originally created the project, the slides with the pool questions appeared in a window at the bottom of the screen (where "timeline" is) and I could see the slides in sort of a "filmstrip" view at the bottom of the screen.  Now, when I open Question Pool Manager, I see the slides at the bottom for a second or two, but they disappear and go back to timeline.  This window then appears with a list of the questions.  If I want to review or change one of the question slides, I have to choose it from this window.  Is there a way for me to get the question slides to display in the bottom of the page again so that I can use that to scroll through the slides more easily?Thank you. 

I have created a exam paper in Adobe captivate. This is added on our e-learning platform. However, I want the answers entered into the exam paper to be automatically emailed to me once submitted on the E-learning platform. How can I go about this as some of the questions are essay based? Any help will be much apprecaited.  Thank you

I followed the directions from this Adobe post, created a CSV file for my multiple choice quiz with options A, B, C, and D. I was able to import most the questions in my CSV file. However, all multiple choice questions that have D as the correct answer fail to import with the error message: "Number of correct answers must be at least one." See report below. The final answer D is correctly asterisked so I don't see what the issue is. Has anyone else encountered this issue? How did you resolve it? 

Hi! I need help with the new Captivate version, please. I want to add a "Click to Reveal" widget to a quiz. Please note that I'm an adult education instructor and I'm not a computer expert. On a help page (https://helpx.adobe.com/mt/captivate/help/add-click-reveal-captivate-project.html) towards the bottom of the page under the section "Add an Overlay," Step 4 says: "The Include in quiz checkbox in the Reporting section enables you to include the widget in a quiz so that you can report the quiz results on a Learning Management System (LMS)." So I know what I want to do is possible. I'm just having a problem doing it. The problem is that I need to choose something on the slide in order to bring up the "Reporting" section and the "Include in Quiz" checkbox. Hi, My employer requires IPADs to be used by learners to complete eLearning on our LMS. The eLearning works perfectly on the laptop but on the IPAD I'm having quite a few issues, timeline is out out of sync on the IPAD and there's quite a bit of glitching. Just wondering if anyone has encountered issues on the IPAD and what they did to rectify the issues. Many thanks

Building a Tab slide, and on each tab, I would like a video instead of the image.  Possible?

I'd love to make a course that scrolls vertically rather than slide by slide, but I have a video to play before each section and it appears you can only add a single video per slide? Any idea what is going on here?

Usually, when I insert animatedt gifs via "media" --> "Animation, it works fine. Just yesterday I had the problem, that the gif would'nt show in the preview anymore. I get the Loading-Button all the time, but the gif is not showing.  So I wanted to know, if my older projects are still working. I tried another one that I've finished yesterday and the animation worked fine. Then I tried another one from the day before and I got the error, that the animation cannot be displayed in html5. I'm usind captivate 11.8.2 on windows

Captivate is acting very unstable when I try to insert an MP4 video (from my computer) onto a slide. I either get a completely black screen, or a progress box immediately shows 50% and stays there.  I've tried running the file through Adobe Media Encoder - set to H264. Nothing works. Any ideas?

Hello. I have been asked to build a function into my elearning that automatically stops the program when the learner opens another program or starts writing an email. So that, for example, videos or audios are then automatically paused.Is there such a feature in Captivate? If not, I just need to know.

Hallo zusammen Wir haben vor längerer Zeit ein E-Learning erstellt. Nun wird bei einer Zuordnungsfrage die Nummerierung nicht mehr angezeigt, es erscheint ein Grafikfehler. Weiss jemand, woran das liegt? Es ist nur bei zwei Fragen, bei den anderen funktioniert es. So sieht es aus, wenn es funktioniert: Vielen Dank im Voraus!

Am I missing somewhere where I can adjust the colors/fonts or anything for the TOC and the playbar?Mine is defaulting to black and it doesn't match branding or the look of the project at all. I've tried removing the black from the theme and looked for settings everywhere, but I am not finding it. I'd also like to remove the duration as that is not relevant to my course. Also, mine says Table of Content...not Contents. Can I edit that and correct it or do I need to submit an error report? I don't see anywhere to edit or adjust anything other than the order of items in the TOC or to turn TOC and Playbar off. 

Four times this morning Captivate 5.5 has crashed on me when I was trying to copy and paste in a text box. I get a fatal error message and then I cannot open the file.First of all, how can I re-open the file? I tried deleting the locks.Second, what the heck is causing it to crash and how do I prevent it? I cannot work this way...Thanks for your help.Stella

Hello. I'm struggling with a problem with keyboard accessibility. I'm publishing the project as html5. There are several smartforms used as buttons that I can focus with the tab key on my slide. When i'm on the last smartform the shift-tab should bring me to the smartform before last. But focus jumps out of the slide to focus buttons in the browser (in my case it's Firefox or Chrome).This last smartform is faded out two seconds bofore the slide ends. Can this be the cause for this strange behaviour?

When creating a slide one picks a layot in the new captivate. From there I can't figure out how to fine tune the location of the onscreen elements (such as text boxes, images, etc) and the size. For instance if I want a text box to go further across the page and there's room, it doesn't let me change this like in the old version. I also can't seem to move elements and tweak their exact location. How is this possible? Thanks!

The scrollbar when the slide is taller than the screen isn't super obvious - is that LMS controlled or captivate controlled? If captivate, how can make it a different color or something to make it more obvious? Along the same vein, if I wanted to put a button or icon to scroll down on the screen to a fixed anchor location, is that possible?

Hi I have imported a video in Captivate and want to trim the video. Is there an option to do this. I cant see how to remove sections under Edit timing but do recall I have done this before.Thanks

Hi!  I'm doing a software simulation.  On slide 10 I have a video recorded using the capture in Captivate.  Later on slide 20 I capture a different video.  In the project both videos are correct, but when I preview slide 20, it is showing the video from slide 10 an additional time.

I just upgraded to Windows 11. I was hoping to find the Microsoft natural voices (e.g., Aria) listed in the Captivate list of supported TTS agents. But only the old MS voices are there.Does Captivate 2019 support the Windows 11 voices? If yes, what do I need to do? 

Hi,I have the voice pack installed and I have been using a voice character named James successfully for many eLearning videos since over a year now. Recently I upgraded my Captivate to version 11.8.1.219. After the upgrade I noticed that the same voice character named James now sounds slightly different, rather robotic and machine-like. Previously, the same voice was rather natural. Any idea is this is an issue or anyone else experienced this? 

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  

HelloI have my license Captivate 11.5.5 and my colleague sent me a .cptx file created in Captivate Classic 11.8.2 that I cannot open. Is there a way I can work with that file?Sorry if this is already answered, any comments or suggestions are appreciated.Saludos 🙂
