When the button is pressed, the sliding doors part, revealing the 'stage and content' behind it' I have created an advanced action, with motion paths for the shapes (custom ones that will move to the scrap area once the motion has been completed ), a variable for the button, all imported etc and all is working... problem is... the animation starts as soon as i enter the slide and i cant stop it. how do i get it so that the shapes are there... but they wait fo

Captivate has often caused me issues but with determination, I found a solution, sadly not today. Using a Mac with all updates and the latest version of Captivate. Customer specifics dictate I must use Futura PT font. Following posts on this site and youtube, I believe I have 3 options. 1) Use Google Fonts - Not an option as I cannot find this font there. 2) Download the font and add it to the file ( I think I need some CSS knowledge to do this, which I do not understand). 3) Use ADOBE FONTS, I have a full CC licence and have activated the whole font family within there.It is allowing me to select the font but when I come to preview or publish my project I am only displaying Times New Roman. Really at a loss to see what I have done wrong. I have read a number of posts and it seems a relatively simple process so I must be missing something simple. Any support would be much appreciated.    

Hi, I have created an advanced action which has a 'apply effect' setting in it that moves the button from one postion to another. The effect is a Motion path>Left to right (and back again)... problem i have is, although it is working, i can see where i can set the 'motion path to? it starts in the right place.... but when testing, the button is clicked... it moved half way across the screen where, i only wan it to move a cm 2 to the right. where do i go to control the path?  many thanks!

Hello. I am new to Captivate, and have a request to make a shift for an existing Captivate Knowledge Check. Here goes:   During the Knowledge Check / Assessment portion of the presentation,  if the user enters the incorrect answer, the program will send the user back to the portion of the CBT where the correct information exists for the user to review (which is fine).  However, after that information has been reviewed, the program will not allow the user to move forward directly back to the Knowledge Check to pick up where they left off. The user is then forced to work through the remaining CBT again starting from whatever point that they were sent back to when they answered incorrectly.  I understand the intended purpose for sending the user back to review the correct information, but once that information is reviewed can the user be directed to the knowledge check / assessment to continue with the exam? Thanks for any help and/or resources

Using Captivate 2019 for Windows, recorded a software simulation demoA portion of my software simulation is misaligned - the highlight box and mouse click actions in the demo appear to be in the correct position on the screen, but move up and appear in a different portion of the screen on preview and after it's published.  It only happened with about 7 slides in the middle of the 100 slide demo. I'm not sure how to fix this without re-recording that portion of the simulation demo.This is the first time this has ever happened, and I have recorded hundreds of software simulations.I've searched for this issue within the community, but only found something similar posted a couple years ago stating there was no fix. Hoping someone has learned something new to share. 

I am running Captivate 2019, v.11.5.5.553. Updater says this is the most recent version. I have cleared Captivate cache, rebooted, run as administrator, with no internet. Regardless, when I open two project files, it opens to about 82% and then Captivate shuts down completely. I am not getting any error messages, it just shuts down. Any suggestions? 

Is there a way to view what each student selects for each answer when you upload a SCORM quiz to Canvas? Currently, I only see the grade percentage, and when I select speed grader (in canvas) it says "no preview available." I would like to be able to record what each student selected for each question to see who got what right/if one question gave people a lot of trouble, etc. Is this possible?

using software sims to guide students step by step/click by click thru an activity. every clickbox needs to do the same thing:on success, it just goes to the next slide. on failure it pops the failure box, until the last attmpt where it shows a prev. hidden highlight box over the click box (effectivly highlighting where they should click) and conts with the activity so they can click the now highlighted clickbox and go to the next slide.i can script this easily via advanced options, but wanted a smarter way to do it (i assume it'll involve variables) where i dont have to re-make essentially the same advanced action script for everyslide. the clickbox and highlight box names change each slide and you cant have dupes, so each adv optns scrpt must be hard coded to each highlight and clickbox manually. there can easily be 20+ slides per sim, and i have a long list of sims i need to make, so any speeding up in the process could save me litteral days and also a lot of headache.advanced optio

i have an adobe all apps subscription and i have a captivate subscription using the same adobe id as confirmed on my adobe account page:     i have two computers, my win 10 64 bit computer and a mac computer with cc on both.   when i start captivate (it's only installed on my win computer), i am prompted to sign out of either my win or mac computer.  if i sign out of my mac and then check the activated devices on my account page, i see:     if i sign out of my win computer i see my puget win 64 and my mac computer in the activated devices panel.   i've never seen this problem before with any cc app, and there's always, at least, one cc app open when i use captivate.   does anyone know how coerce captivate to recognize my Puget-154707 on WINDOWS_64 (activated in 2021) as the same device captivate is detecting?  

I love the overlay feature except for one thing...the default behavior is to pause the video and blur the background. What I would like is for it to keep playing the video.Is there a way of doing that?

Hello all,I have an OAM file that I am trying to import into my Captivate project, I was hoping to insert the animation as a background. However, it appears that once I bring in the animated image, it takes precedent and you cannot add buttons on top or anything like that.  Is there a way to use the animation as a background and be able to add other characters on top of the animation that people can interact with?  Or am I stuck having to have very small animations on screen and add other material around it?  Is there a guide anywhere that describes the what can and cannot be done with OAM animations in Captivate?

Hi,I wanted to reach out to see if anyone else has had experience with an issue like this or similar.A few of our employees have completed a few sections of an eLearning module in our LMS. They exited out of the eLearning with the intention to return later and finish it up. When they re-opened the eLearning, it took them back to the very start so that they had to redo everything (no variables were saved).Hundreds of other employees haven't had this issue and progress seems to have saved.I ran a detailed SCORM report and can see that the employees HAVE answered a number of quiz questions within the eLearning - so they definitely have made progress.It seems as if their quiz progress is being reported back to the LMS - however their place isn't being saved in the eLearning.Does anyone have experience with this kind of issue or something similar? I can't replicate the issue myself.The SCORM was originally a SCORM 1.2. Could this be the cause?Any thoughts would be so appreciated.Here are my

How do I reset all the objects on a drag and drop slide on enter in Captivate 6.1 using the built-in drag and drop widget?

I would like to publish the project that contains a slide and a .cpvc file as Video(not HTML).As I publish it, a slide section works well, but the movie section doesn't work. Spinning circle shows up on the center of the movie until the end of movie.I can publish it as HTML and it works file. But we cannot utilize HTML due to our company's policy.Is there any way to publish them as Video ? v/r, JOJO

Hello,  I am trying to edit a clients template.  They have a play button that is custom, not the built-in, and when clicked the trigger is " continue". Unfortunately, when clicked, continue ignores all other variables and triggers in the slide and automatically moves to the next slide.  We don't want that.. the user needs to complete the slide interactions before moving on.. please help this is urgent to me, i know you all have lives but i would greatly appreciate feedback. 

I have created a drag and drop activity that contains audio as a snap behavior. The audio file "sound2" was preloaded in the project (I did not add this as an audio file - see attached image). The audio contains a bell sound that rings when the drag object is dropped on the target. The bell sound is very loud and I would like to lower the volume, but I don't know how to do this, since it isn't an actual file. Is there a way to change the volume control on this sound clip? 

Hello,I created a quiz that allows user to review the quiz. However, when I test this in the HTML preview, the first question only displays the numbers. It doesn't display the answers, the selected option, not the right/wrong marks. When I advance to the next slide, almost nothing shows - no question, no options, only the playbar.These are questions slides (MC and TF only). I have the most current version of Captivate 2019 (11.8). It works in older modules created with different versions of captivate. I've tried in Firefox and Chrome browsers. Anyone have any ideas?

I want to use the "Shuffle Answers" of the Multiple Choice quiz type, but I also want to include the "All of the above" answer.Is there a way to Shuffle the 3 or 4 answers while keeping the "All of the above" answer at the bottom of the list?

Hi, Currently receiving an issue in which, when i add a question slide to my project, for whatever reason, the slide seems to be all over the place a lot bigger than all of the other slides. project is 1024x627 throughout - but as you can see, the question slide is all messed up... that goes for the summary page too which you might be able to see in the timeline. Ive tried coming out of project and going back i again but no good. I have gone to a complete project and it works fine so not sure if i have done something here or not but either way, not working correctly Any help, much appreciated! Rob

When I select the video demo option, Captivate has the camera to turn on automatically as default and I would like to see how to disable this. All my videos do not require me to appear in the video so it gets a little frustrating after that 100th time to always select NO CAMERA. Thanks.

Hi,Since this morning, Adobe Captivate doesn't add Text Captions or Smart Shapes or Highlight boxes on Click during the capture on Demonstration mode !Was working perfectly the last days. I didn't remember changing any settings...For recording Demonstration, I got to the settings, recording, modes. There, "Add Text Captions" is checked, "Use Amrt Shapes..." is also checked and "Add Highlight boxes on click" too.Result after clicking on "ok" and starting the capture: Adobe captures only the screen for a few seconds, without anything else visible on the timeline!What can I do?Version : 11.8.0.586Thanks a lot in advance!BrDavid

Hi all, Just wondering if you can help please... starting to experiemnt a little with advanced actions I have created a slide which has multiple buttons on, all of which jump to a slide where they view the content before retrning back to the initial slide... as they do this, each button greys out. I have created an aditional button that i would like to appear once the each of the other buttons have been viewed.I created a Variable for all of the buttons above so once selected, they move to '1'. I was hoping i could say on the quiz button... If all variables are equal to 1, then show the the button - its not working though so wondering if i could get some help please 🙂 So you know... when viewing the project, the 'quiz button' appears on the slide as soon as entered... and whilst it looks like i can click it, its not doing anything at all.... i have checked and once i have viwed all the subjects, the variables have moved to 1. any further info required,

Hello,For my quiz, I have set my answer buttons to play audio on success, this works very fine.The quiz is in a LMS and with the LMZ user can leave the course and come back later to finish the quiz.The problem is that when I revisit my quiz, the sound of my buttons won't play anymore. There are also sound playing on other slides on the timeline and they are all working fine, I also got videos that play fine, it's only the answer buttons that don't play the sound anymore. The buttons are working fine by themself, they show the answer then go to next slide, etc.Has anyone had this problem and have resolve the issue ?Here is a screnshot of the setting of the button 

Hello all, I've seen a few posts regarding the NaN error occuring for branching courses, but they don't seem to replicate the problem I'm having.. I've created a branching course, dealing with training two different teams working with the same database, but with different job roles.  So each branch covers each team, and at the end of the training is a test, specific to their training. But I've found that my test fails me even when I enter the correct answer and I can see "NaN" on several fields of the test results. To troubleshoot, I created a blank project and set up the following slides Slide 1 - IntroSlide 2 - Menu to select "Branch 1" or "Branch 2"Slides 3 & 4 - "True or False" questions for branch 1Slides 5 & 6 - "True or False" questions for branch 2Slide 7 - Quiz results When I take the course it works fine, I'm able to select whichever branch I choose and take and pass the test (see below)So I know that my branching tests works, b
