Can we create augmented reality project in captivate 2019?

Hi everyone, I am new to Captivate and trying to edit a course that already existed where I am working. Unfortunately, as I am reviewing for accessiblity, I see that I cannot tab to the quiz multiple choice answers. It will go to the TOC, the navigate panel (play, pause, forward, etc.) and the clear or submit buttons but I cannot select an answer to choose. I have tried restricting tabbing to the slide only. This didn't work and also restricted the navigation panel which is necessary for users to access. Any advice? Thank you! 

Hi.I am trying to build an Accessible eLearning module using Captivate 5.I can use <Tab> and <Enter >to navigate through the Table of Contents and view slides.  However, I am unable so far to use just the keyboard to access and answer Quiz questions, i.e. True/False, Multiple Choice.The user needs to be able to select the answer(s) and click Submit, using only the keyboard.How can I do that in Captivate 5?CB.

My employer (DOE) has a policy that the learner on a CBT has to wait 24 hours for them to retake the material. My question is, can this feature be setup in the Quiz Preferences or Advanced Actions?

I am using Captivate 2019 release version 11.5.5.553.When I use the drag n drop feature, I like to use a hint.However, the hint will not appear if I bring it in during the slide.It will only appear if I bring it in at the very beginning of the slide.If I have a 10 second slide and I set it to appear for 3 seconds, it will stay for the entire slide and will not disappear after the 3 second timeout.Can anyone assist me with this issue?Thank you,Dirk

I have a responsive project that uses a text entry box for the user to make notes whilst progressing through the project. What I would like to do is append some text to this depending on the outcome of various interactions. I am using Javascript for one interaction and can update the variable used by the TEB without an issue. However, I am having problems adding a new line from within Javascript. I have searched for previous discussions here and online. I have tried adding the following line in the Javascript to update the TEB variable using the escape sequence "\n" for a new line, as specified in the MDN docs: v_teb_notes=v_teb_notes + "\nMy heading\nMy text to add."; I believe that "\n" should add the new line, but when I run this the code fails. In the browser console I see the error "SyntaxError: '' string literal contains an unescaped line break". When I remove the "\n" the JS executes, but no line breaks are added. v_teb_notes=v_teb_notes + "My heading

Hello.I set up a custom interaction (multiple choice question) with 3 of 4 correct answers. The user must select the 3 correct answers and are directed to reset the activity/try again until they get it correct. Once correct answers are selected, a continue button appears and they can move on to the next slide. The buttons are set up as "toggles", meaning that they can select and deselect from the list if they change their minds about an answer. The activity works as intended on a desktop (toggle, incorrect path to try again, and correct to continue); however, on mobile, it is NOT working. If you select the first and then the second box, the first box immediately disappears. Then it is a mishmash of working/not working once you continue to click buttons. I have double-checked my advanced actions and they are set as I want, plus they work on a desktop. Dear all,we are running Windows 11 (Swiss/German version), our IT always loads the newest updates.Earlier this year I could install/run Captivate until recently when it refuses to run. I have uninstalled the versin and - according to the Adobe pages - I have downloaded version 11.8 (Is this the correct file? Captivate_2019_x64_LS21.zip).When launching set-up.exe it directs me to a browser to login. Browser tells me to close it and continue. The installer appears again and still shows "Go to browser to login". (I have logged in correctly before). The installer is stuck on this screen forever - installing not possible.What can I do?cheers, Alex 

Hi All, I am new to Adobe Captivate 2019.I am working on a e-learning module, wherein, if my learner clicks incorrectly twice they should get 'Try again message. After 2 incorrect clicks it should give them a pop-up of hint with correct answer. I've tried using smart shape as a button and added 2 attempts in action and then show the hint box shape. However, when I preview it, it's working sometimes and sometimes not working. Even after publishing it in HTML file same issue persit and after 2 try again it lags for a second/two for hint box to appear. Is there anything else I can do, please help.

I purchased Adobe Captivate.  When I tried to access assets, they were greyed out.  Although nobody said that I would need to download assets, it appears that I needed to install assets.  I found a page to download them from. Once downloaded to my Mac, I am prompted to identify a location.  I leave it at Default.  Then I get this.  No help whatsoever from Adobe, of course.  Should I find another product and get a refund  Please help.

Error message - can’t find file location. My main problem is that when I launched Adobe Captivate after installation it defaults to a "Sign up for a 30 day trial” page or buy.  It does not register my original licence I bought in 2019 despite the fact that I went into my account and downloaded the link from my bought product page. At no point was I asked for my serial number. It just defaults to sign up for a 30 trial offer then subscription and I cannot proceed from that poin

Gentlefolk,I am developing a quiz for which the requirement is that if a question is failed, then the correct answer is displayed along with an explanation of why the answer is correct and the other options incorrect. The amount of text means that modifying the existing FAILURE messages won't be practical - mainly because the user will be given two chances to answer the quiz correctly. The first response must be then the "Incorrect, try again" message.  The logic flow then would be:Upon submit:- if correct, proceed to next question- if incorrect, display "try again"- if second attempt incorrect, display explanatory information.> Upon close of explanatory explantion block, goto next question Or something along those lines. I believe there is an Advanced Action that I could employ, but I don't see a "cpQuizInfo..." variable named to cover this situation. Do I exploit "cpQuizInfoPassFail" or some other variable? Looking for ideas!!! Thank you! Do

I have a number of images with hint boxes added. During preview and viewing the published project on local host it's fine. Once I upload to server the images are resized to about 80% of original. See screenshots below. I cannot for the life of me figure out why... Any suggestions gratefully received.

Just watched the keynote from Adobe eLearning World 2021. The new version of Captivate, code-name Project Charm was quickly demoed. It looks like the interface has been majorly updated/changed. I'm not sure if I have ever seen an application get such a drastic change in one go. I'm not saying Captivate didn't need it, but we all got used to the way it was. I hope the demo was a very simplified demo - I did not see a lot of the advanced features we use on my team. I hope they are still there.   I'm also curious if there are changes to the Captivate player code. We use the JavaScript API and widgets very heavily. I hope we do not have to re-work all those for this new version. It looks like creating responsive eLearning migh be a little easier in this new version. What did everyone else think?

Hi Team, I got a new laptop and Adobe Captivate doesn't launch. I have tried all the possible solutions the Adobe support team provided, from changing file names under the shared folder in the system files, clearing preferences and deleting fonts. I have even had chat with my screen controlled by the Adobe support team and still no progress and CP doesn't launch. I am wondering why the Adobe developers team doesn't introduce a new install file that fixes all those issues, I find it is unfair to go into windows and change setup, delete fonts ..etc for a single app to work while other Adobe apps like Illustrator and media encoder are working fine.Most users work under big corporates and don't have admin access to run all this setup and troubleshooting. It is sad to think of shifting our design skills to other authoring tools after excelling at AdobeCaptivate for years, simply because it doesn't launch

Heya,i try to use the assets and download an image, but get an error every time I try, any ideas? 

Hi everyone, i want to give my students the option take a snapshot with their webcams at the end of my course. This picture should then embedded in the certificate, which they should also be able to print out. I could print out the slide of my choice with java script through a button. But i am having a hard time with commands like opening the Webcam; taking a snapshot through captivate; saving the File after that etc... via Button. The existing Javascripts on the Internet, does not work in Captivate (Copy/Paste). I am not a programmer, thats why the problem its me for sure=)  Is there a script to do that?And in general, is there a Captivate Java script library or something like that that you know? Thx a lot Sancak

I recently learned about the ability to distribute a video across slides and am trying that feature, but I'm having a serious issue. In the past, I imported a video and added it to a slide as "Event Video". No problem. If I add the same video to a slide as "Slide Video", I get the error "Video encountered internal error".I click OK and keep working. If I change to Slide Video and "Distribute video across slides", I get the same error and Captivate locks up. I made sure the video uses the H.264 codec. I sent the same CPT and video files to two of my colleagues, and everything worked for them. We are all using Windows 10 laptops but with different hardware. (I believe mine is the only one with a discrete GPU.) I ran the program for driver and BIOS updates; all good there. If anyone has suggestions on how to resolve this, I would love to hear them.

Captivate 5II have been working on this project (@175 slides).  Suddenly, as I'm saving my changes, the program freezes & has to shut down & now it appears the file is corrupt.  Am I basically screwed here?  Is there any hope for this file?  I read that Captivate 5 supposedly handles projects with 400+ slides, so mine shouldn't be an issue. There are no other programs open, the file isn't already open.  I'm guessing I'm screwed & get to spend 2 days redoing the work I just did.  Thankfully I have a backup, but a backup that doesn't include about 16 hours worth of changes.  This has always been a shaky product & I'd hoped that Captivate 5 had improved upon that, but I guess not.Any help is appreciated

In the course i'm building we have a requirement to used forced navigation at the end of each slide to ensure the users have listened/watched it in it's entirety. But, on reentry to the slide, either by using the back button or closing the course and reentering it. All of this functionality works fine.  We're now working on adding another condition, that, if the user attempts and fails the course 3 times, they must retake the course as if it's their first time taking it (watching each slide in its entirety).  I am a shared action on entry and on exit using v_slidevisited_## to update the next button logic on each slide. I have tried "Assigned v_slidevisited_## to 0" in an advanced action before "Jump to Slide" on the Restart Course button  on the resutls slide as well as an on entry decision to the 3 attemps failure logic. Neither are working. What am i doing wrong? Example of the results slide advanced action below.

I have created my first project in Captivate and it is time to preview and present to the team.  I was able to preview and publish until last week.  Now when I select Preview, in any form, one of two things happens.  One, I get a Publish failed error and the only option is OK.  Two, I am taken to Adobe Air and all I can see is a black screen, nothing ever loads.  When I try to publish as HTML5 I get a Could Not Copy Folder to (path) . . . assets.  I have tried different folders and different file names.  Caps, spaces, no spaces, no special characters, and nothing seems to be working.  I have contacted my IT department and hit a dead end.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice.  I have tried the CleanPreferenecesMac fix posted and no change.  I have tried the I have contacted Adobe IT Support and have not received a response, other than to say they have received my email and to verify my username.  It seems this is a known c
