I'm NEW to animator, and am watching some online tutorials. My visemes look totally different than the visemes in the tutorial (see attached images). The ones in tutorial seem straight forward and easy to work with.I don't see how I can possibly work with mine... the ones showing in my CA. Can anyone help?
Hello, with all this working remote, I need to be able to use a Character Animator Stream as a camera source for WebEx meetings. I installed the NDI Monitor and other software. Under Character Animator strem preferences > live output, it is using NDI output and I can see it when I have the monitor open, but when I selected NewTek NDI Video but WebEx says "We can't connect to your webcam. Is the webcam installed properly or are you using it in another application?" Do I have a setting wrong somewhere, or how can I use Animator as a camera in a WebEx meeting?
Does anyone know what this means, or how I can fix it? I was working just fine in Ai and Ch, then went into rig mode and got this error. Exiting and restarting Ch doesn't help, nor does restarting the computer. (MS Surface Desk 2, Windows 10, Adobe Creative Cloud)
I use a lot of triggers, but they all do not fit on the panel. their size is large. Please enter the option to reduce them as on the screen below. Thanks
HelloI'm trying to get my feed of camtwist....long story having to do with all webcams being sold and trying to use my iphone as a video source for classes next week. When I choose camtwist as the source I get a really weird result:https://www.dropbox.com/s/ssopz9selu5f1y0/Screen%20Recording%202020-04-01%20at%2015.28.18.mov?dl=0 any ideas?I get a different error with epoccam...this app is recognized by it never produces an image.oh...if it helps...my setup is a 2014 macbook air (i7) driving an apple cine-display running 10.15. The iphone is a 5se running the most recent version of IOS. Camtwist is the most recent version. What I'm doing is a partial screen capture from cam-twist. The screen source is the camera in the iphone camera displaying via quicktime screen capture on the desktop. Yes...a really ugly work around.
"Seperate" meaning not in the same locatioon, wirelessly. The computers will be 50 km away from one another. I want to be able to live stream on video, using two different puppets, using two computers. I have been following this link to explain how to do it: https://helpx.adobe.com/au/adobe-character-animator/using/streaming.html It seems that this set up requires the microphones to be set up using the same "audio mixer", and the same Network Switch". Is there an alternate to this where the two computer users are not locating in the same location? Is this possible? Please help, thanks
Hello, I am attempting to create my first puppet in the style of cardboard paper cutouts. Here's a pic: I'm not in love with the mouth etc., but for my first attempt I'm happy with the product. I'm making it in Illustrator. Now, I like the layering as is.Would I be able to simply add mouth positions and blink/lid/pupil etc. and have the puppet work? Or, do I have to have the layering the way the Blank character has been layered?

HiI'm working on a macbook air. I have an external USB microphone that is recognized and selected in the system. CA does not recognize it...I'm stuck with the internal microphone. I can't find a way to force CA to select the USB microphone. Security and privacy is set correctly..CA has access to the microphone. Strangely...other open applications are getting input from the USB while CA from the internal mic. Any ideas? solved: I found 'default input' in audio hardware...
Hi,I've created a scene with an animated puppet in Character Animator. I exported the scene to premiere pro and the video freezes and only the sound plays. I made another video a few weeks ago with the same puppet and the same time length and no issues. Now, however, no matter how many new scenes or arrangements I try, premiere pro freezes when I try to export my cartoon. Also, when I've tried to export the scene through adobe encoder, it takes an insanely long time (over 2 hours--for a 3 minute video)My laptop is brand new, HP spectre, 16gb ram, nvidia graphic card. I've only used 14 gb of storage on the cloud out of 100 available.I've updated all software and my computer. I went through tech support--all their test videos worked fine. So, I'm thinking it must be something i'm doing wrong in character animator, but I cannot figure out what.I tried another puppet as well and the same issue happens. The sound plays, but the video freezes. Any ideas?
hey everyone, I;m building my first puppet and trying to get him in the walking mode where the charachter can walk in both directions and then stand facing the camera when as rest. I put a picture of my layout in here, if anyone has any tips or tricks i'd appreciate it. I feel like I'm probably a few steps away from getting it right. When i rig all three profiles they show up at the same time and not when the walks are cued. Thanks in advance for any help. -matt

Hi,I'm a high school animation teacher, and I want to use Adobe Character Animator with my students. We don't presently have webcams, however, so I'm going to need to buy 20 of them for my computer lab. I'm looking at several very cheap webcams, but I'm concerned that they might not be compatible with ACA.Can someone point me towards ACA's webcam specifications? Thanks in advance.Vaughn
I have character that we rigged in spine (esoteric software) - can I use that skeleton in character animator?
i've tried changing the format of my audio and it will not let any of it import and gives me the 3.2X65 error code. what can i do to sort this out?

hi all,First time experimenting with CA, but I am having some issues. For some reason when I record my eyeball moves with the pupil slightly. Id like for the pupil to move as intended within the eyeball, but can't pinpoint the issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Ive attached some screenshots that will help to illustrate the issue. -ADrew

CA has come on a lot since I last had a look, so look forward to using it more this time. My question:In Puppet mode, you get to see Behaviors and by making adjustments here you can improve the reaction of different parts such as, the tilt of the head, the eyebrow strength etc. Now, I've tried the, Mouth Strength here, but it seems to affect the size of the mouth, which is ok, but what I want to know is can you adjust the sensitivity of the mouth, in relationship to the mapping of the mouth in real speech? It seems that there is a mismatch between the live mouth movements and the puppets mouth responce?I just want to get a better match between my mouth movement, which is tracked well by the camera, and the actual puppet's mouth movements. Hope that makes sense?I did try the only option in, Lip Synce, the Jaw Movement, but this didn't seem to make any difference? I'm disasbled, deaf and now diagnosed with dementia. I am intending to try and use my character to talk
I am getting the following error in one of my projects - can you help please? The project doesn't load and I get the error message as below.
I keep running into issues I'm not sure what's causing them. So, a couple questions:Do changes made to a puppet in a scene apply to the puppet permanently or just to that local scene?Do changes to a puppet only stay with that project folder and, if I want them to go to other projects, I have to export that "new version" of the puppet from the project and import it into other projects? I really hate that each project makes it's own folders instead of having a single source for puppets.
I've done a lot of work on my puppet in Ch project to make it move naturally but all my works had suddenly disappeared sometimes then I reworked again and again. So again today, the error message pops up and it seems like I'm gonna lose all my works in my project. Does anybody know what I have to do in order not to lose my works in the project I'm working on? It happens very frequently which I never experienced other adobe programs like photoshop or illustrator The error message below is one of the example of missing my files. Once I click "open anyway," my work disappears or another error message comes out and says "libgit2 error-1(4/corrupted loose referent file..)
