im running into a repeated issue. my draggables (esp arms) jerk to the final position then move back to the progression towards its final destination. Ie- If a character is getting ready to point, the arm will snap to the pointing position then back as it gradually makes its way to the final positio. I’ve had it happen with fades into hold positions as well as recorded moves. Any help will be much appreciated
I just downloaded character animator. So far, every time I have tried to open the rigging tab it has crashed. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program, which got me the same results. I have plenty of ram and memory, is this program just buggy/unusable?
Here is a video briefly explaining my issue: Character Animator Issue - YouTube I tried LIVE chat and I attached my illustrator file and character animator file (the same as attached here) and the support worker said it was because I have no neck on my character but I don't understand why this is an issue. He also directed me to a very basic tutorial that also didn't help me understand the issue. I looked at other peoples' issues and I cannot quite find the solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated. FoxMan v2.0.ai - Google Drive FoxMan - Google Drive
Hey folks, I need to create a character whose primary position is sitting down. There will be minimal movement of the torso and lower extremities. I the scene will almost be like a news anchor at a news desk. Most movements will be done via triggers. How would I go about creating this character and limiting the movement? If this is too vague let me know and I'll flesh the concept out for you.
Hi, i would like to know what is the name of this song... i like it so much but can't find any infoThanksAdobe Character Animator CC | Animation software
I love Adobe Character Animator, but every time i try to use it, after about a half an hour it gives me an error like this:Can somebody help me fix this???
I'm just learning Character Animator, and truthfully, there are still a lot of factors and features in character rigging that I have yet to learn or understand (The video tutorials I could find seem to cover the basics more than the in-depth stuff). I took a PSD of my YouTube persona I'd originally drawn up to use in Live2D but abandoned when I wasn't satisfied with that program's tweened mouth animations, retooled and renamed the layers to match the Blank Face template, and tested it out during a recent stream. However, I've noticed three big problems that I have yet to figure out:-I'm unsure how to have the neck move and be dependent on the head movement. I saw videos saying to put the neck in the same layer as the rest of the static body and somehow manipulate just the neck part to move, but I can't figure out how, so the head often moves completely off the neck and body.-The head seems to jiggle and wobble slightly and constantly a bit too much; dunno if this is s
I am working in Character Animator CC 2019 on a Windows 10 platform (version 1809). I been creating characters in Character Animator and then importing the scenes into After Effects CC 2019 so I can add some text animation and other visual effects to the scene. Everything has been working great until today. All of sudden Character Animator does seem to update my project file, when I make changes to a character or record something new in a scene. As a result, the scene does not update in After Effects. If I close Character Animator and open it back up again, all my changes are there, but the time date on my project file hasn't changed. Here is a shot of my Windows Explorer. My project file shows a date modified time of 10:59 AM. I've been working in this file all afternoon and it is now 3:23 PM. Like I said, everything was fine until today. I've been using this same file for several weeks now. Is there a way to force Character Animator to save a file? I don't want to do a Save As, b

* This involves Character Animator, After Effects and Media Encoder. Please move, if necessary Working in my normal CH to AE to AME work flow, I had to make a small change in my CH project, which updated into my AE project, as it should, but when I render out of AME it comes out the way it was before the change... even after clearing the cache, restarting apps, etc, Im stumped! In CH:In After Effects:But then my final movie comes out like this:( this is the previous arm position, which i moved to not obscure the text)
Hi allAs someone who can't draw, I use reference images from photographs in illustrator to manually trace around (I don't mean the trace feature or pathfinder etc) - I mean just have a low opacity photo in the background and use that to draw semi-realistic but still cartoonish characters based on the photo.Anyway, it's easy to find single pictures of people's faces, but I wondered if there was a good website which showed the same people in different poses, especially head profiles - Several pictures of the same people with different head movements (looking left and right) - and preferably full body photos of them in either A-poses or T-poses. (Photo's - not 3D models)If anyone knows of any good sites which provide these types of images (I've been trying Google forever, I can't seem to find anything relevant to what I'm looking for).I guess that people use these types of reference images for 3D work as well as 2D, so I'd have thought the internet would be full of sites like this. Maybe
I really believe the Character Cooker workflow concept has the potentialto be a timesaver in many Character Animator studio's.It's a great helper to quickly build additional actors, stand-ins and extra's to your scenes. For me it was a good sign that Adobe CH's Erica Schisler and Dave Werner offered me aplace on the Third Party page, soon after they saw it. I'm deeply honoured.I'm now working on it to boost the quality and reliability even more.and maybe in the future i will build some more templates that caneasily be changed to all different kinds of puppets without the need for tweaks.Try it.... and stay tuned.CHANGE 1.. AFFECT ALL 25 , export smartobjects to PSD and have your new character up and running!
Hi,its possible, that triggers are not working with puppets made in illustrator? I have prepared one, but it do nothing and even I watched all tutorials, its still not working. And all puppets with triggers are only made in Photoshop. Is there a problem or is the problem related to something else? Thanks a lot.Swenia
Hey, i want to buy character animator, but i don't want to pay for the whole creative cloud. Is there a way to buy only Character Animator?
Hi, it is my understanding that if you make changes in Photoshop it updates the puppet in Animator but it's not doing that.
Friends, what do I do here?Character Animator is using 135 percent of my CPUs. I have one file open (the Adobe Wonder Boy Puppet). My keys are very hot. Fan is always running. It is not plugged in. I have PS running as well and a Wacom Intuos tablet. This is a new Mac Book Pro. I bought it YESTERDAY.thanks!
Huge fan of Adobe Ch! Thanks to the team and the community.I have a simple puppet in which I'm trying to implement a draggable arm, so she can basically like... pour milk into coffee. But for the life of me, I just can't get it to work! After any hours, I've hit a wall and have decided to ask the community for help. What I've done: applied the handlescreated the sticks added the IK behaviorBut no matter what I try, when I try to drag the arm around in Scene view it just does absolutely nothing. Other folks have reported getting undesired warping effects... but that's not my problem. It just doesn't work at all. Below are the relevant screenshots of how I've rigged it up... but for the love of all that is holy, please someone help! Here is the exported puppet: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1X2eNJ819jqAHOw9DX4XHBytArDqn4GEC
I'm brand new to this, but no matter which method I try, I can't seem to get either Premiere or After Effects to recognize the scenes from Character Animator. You can see in the image what I see when I attempt to. (Windows 10 64bit, 32GB ram, RTX 2080) Both programs are installed in the default locations on the same drive. [Additionally, when trying to export as a video file using Media Encoder, it spits out "Could not read from the source."]
When I import scenes into AE from CH they are corrupted why?
I can not hear audio when recording. ( can hear it during playing the scene.)Restarting the software or PC does not solve this problem.Anyone who can help me?OS: mac 10.14.5
Hi!Please see the image above. I'm trying to create a robot character which only has a head, but it's connected via a hydraulic arm to the top of the screen. I'm hoping the head could move with my own head movements on camera, and that the arm would bend and move realistically. Is this possible at all? I assume I'd need sticks to keep the arms straight, and attaching them via a hinge join. But I'm not sure where to start on setting up the .ai file, or what the order of the layers should be.Has anyone done something like this before? Is this even possible in ChA?Cheers,George
I am using a free puppet character called Tull from https://character.adobelanding.com/puppets/ I am trying to use the eyes only, but I'm having an issue to get them to blink. I did it three different ways to get it to blink. I even did a custom blink that made worst. How can I fix this issue?[Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome][Comments is to ask about the operation of the Forum, not a specific program][Moved from the Comments forum to the specific Program forum... Check out this video about the new features found in Character Animator (2.1)
I'm trying to animate this puppet and the pupils keep pulling on the eyes and face. The pupils are marked as independent in Character Animator, which I thought would fix the issue but it hasn't. What am I missing?you can see in this pic how the character's right pupil is stretching/pulling on the eyeball and the face. Here's a link to the psd puppet file.https://adobe.ly/2XTO9uaThanks so much for your help!!!
