Hi.What is the best way to have my character walk along a scene, then stop explain, and continue walking? I want to import it into AE to add the things the character will be explaining.
how to animate two characters in same scene in Adobe Character Animator ?
I'm new to Adobe Character Animator. How do I import a ready-made character from the Adobe website?
I'm new to Adobe Character Animator so I've been searching the forum to find an answer to this problem. I've seen a bunch of other people ask this question, but unfortunately none of the answers or responses have fixed my problem. My eyebrows are not moving, but instead the entire forehead of my puppet is distorting. Both of my eyebrows are marked as independent so why is this happening? What am I doing wrong??? Please help!!!
This might be a dumb question but lately whenever I render out a video from CA via AME, the video usually has a black frame included at the end of the video. When I check the AME settings, it is set to render out the work area, and when I check the work area in CA, it seems that it should just end on a still from the end of the animation, not a black frame. I can fix it easily before rendering by dragging the outpoint in the AME render window, but I'm wondering if there is a flaw in my workflow that would allow me to fix this without manually adjusting out points all the time.
Hello community. Hoping for a miracle. When I export my scene from Character Animator through Media Encoder, it's adding a faint gray top & bottom border to my mp4 file. I'm using the H.264 format and the "Match Source - Adaptive High Bitrate" preset. The lines are only really visable if i drop the video on a white background, which is exactly what I need to do. I can't figure out how to get rids of these lines no matter what I try. Has anyone else had this problem? Here's what they look like:
Hi, I'm in the process of making my puppet in a smaller format to also use it for streaming outside of my personal projects but I have a rather strange problem. My puppet seems to have merged the different parts of its body and I can't find where the problem comes from, I'm used to seeing tutorials on YouTube but this time I haven't found the solution. Has anyone had this problem before? Secondly, Character Animator causes freezes when I stream in-game even though my PC is really new. On my old avatar, there was no this problem, has this already happened to anyone? I did my best with english since it's not my first language, I hope it's understandable ! ♡I used the version 24.0, i'm on Windows 11.
My character's feet don't have an origin point when setting up a walk, what should I do? Please help me
I'm attempting to rig a character with a draggable arm that also dangles. While I've managed to make both functionalities work individually, I've encountered an issue. Currently, the arm returns to its rest position before applying physics, which results in unnatural movement. Ideally, the arm should both return to rest and dangle simultaneously, maintaining momentum. I initially assumed this functionality would be native to the program, but it appears not. Is there a workaround for this issue? Alternatively, could this feature be implemented? It seems like an oversight on Adobe's part
Why does dangle apply after return to rest physics? They should be applying simutaneously for any sort of remotely realistic movement. Am i missing something? Seems like an obvious feature this program should have.
I am trying very hard to make a short video, and run into a road block every 10 minutes or so.I want my puppet to start in the lower left. Period. No matter what I do later in the timeline. So, I set the Transform > X Position to -748.Then, I change controls later in the timeline (such as futiley trying to get position-based walking to work). After that, I set the playhead all the way to the left and click the Reset icon.Periodically the puppet shifts an inch to two away from the left, even though the X Position still says -748.So, I manually reset the puppet to the left, which then indicates the puppet is now -940.So, the X and Y coordinates do not appear to be absolute. -748 for one playthrough becomes -940 for the second playthrough, even though I never changed the Position X keyframes. Can anyone explain what is happening? Thanks!
I am a novice at best with Character Animator and am having issues with rendering out a scene that loses its gravity or stiffness during the render. The scene is of a bio-mechanical brain with three antennas on its head. The antennas sway back and forth as the character's head sways. The probelem is that It will render about 20-30 seconds correctly (the timing varies) and then will 'lose' the stiffness of the antennas unexpectedly for the remaining 7 minutes of the scene. I have attached screenshots of the character as it appears in CHanimator's review window and the final render after going through Media Encoder. I am exporiting using the 'video alpha with Adobe Media Encoder' drop down as I need it as an alpha channel to import into AE for compositing. If you watch the QT I have attached, you will see where - not only the antennas, but also the shape of the head and the dangling moss from his ears - changes as well. I don't have any keyframes at that point in the timeline either.&nbs
The arms of my puppet are bending after I calibrate it and the arms are straight. I hit record, and the arms snap up again and won't stay straight. I've adjusted the camera, turned on LK, turned it off...nothing works. Not sure what else to do at this point.
There are many puppets that adobe proves for free.I'm wondering if I can use them for my Youtube video or any commerical purpose.I wanna use them as small roles in my animation. Plus, some puppets asks to pay for extended license. I'm not sure what's the difference between just using them for free and paying to buy the extended license. Thanks.
I just downloaded Character Animator, and when I run it, it won't open saying " The code execution cannot proceed because OpenCL.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." I have no idea what the OpenCL.dll. Other apps like photoshop, illustartor, premior pro work fine. Please help me what is going on. Thanks
Is there any function that allows me to randomly replace a part of a puppet with another set of cycled layers? Random trigger has to be in this program right?? It's a pretty obvious feature to have.
When my puppet moves his head around, it makes his legs move a little too, like he's swaying. I've taken the "Head Position" and "Head Tilt" strengths down, but I don't want to sacrifice expresiveness just to keep the legs from being affected so much. I have some "Fixed" sticks at the bottom of my character's body, but that doesn't help. I imagine part of my problem is the character's legs are about half-hidden behind the torso, and so those body parts are being affected due to their shared space with the bendy torso. I like my rigging (legs independent, tagged and whatnot) , I just need a way for the legs to not move with the body.
I recently bought a new computer for working with animation: AMD Ryzen 9, 32 GB of RAM. I installed the character animator and glitches began. After starting the program, the timeline does not play when you press the space bar, the program does not hear the sound of the laptop microphone, so the character's lips do not move. After I change the program settings back and forth, at some point it starts working. I change the sound settings. But I don't find a pattern. I don't understand why this error occurs and how to fix it. Help me fix it, surely someone has encountered such errors
My recorded audio in carachter animator sounds strange... like bugged and played in rallenty mode. I saw that it's all ok.. CPU ok.
Hello, is anybody having troubles downloading puppets? Im starting a new puppet and I wanted to use the "Blank" puppet from https://assets.adobe.com/public/eef57917-773f-4912-5f17-9629a600c27b However everytime I try to download it, it just says "there is an error, your download is not available", and tried to conact adobe on chat but they're closed right now, anyone knows how to solve this? or anyone have the blank puppet they can upload or share somehow? Thank you very much
hi, I have recently made an animation and i am unable to export the whole scene. when I open the exported video, it is not even a second long even though the orignal is almost 30 seconds long. I have been trying to export the whole video for very long now. has this happened to anyone and does anybody know how to fix this problem???
Audio in Character Animator isn't synching in After Effects, can't figure this out, like it's working in Ch just fine, and I export it out as a png sequence, and the audio doesn't seem to EVER match up in Ae. I have to edit the audio so it syncs up. What am I doing wrong? Thank you for in advance. Rik
I am working on a team on the server so we can share our project files within the team, but when I tried to save my Character Animator file it says the operation isn't supported and forces me to save it to my desktop which means my teammate can get to my file. Is there a workaround that lets us save the character files on the server?
Hi there,I have an internal Problem with recording.Everything is fine with recording, also the character is like it should be.But when I do the record for the face then the character gets a weird look/face is broken.Or also when I do the face record at last, and then when I go to export, the face "fell in parts again".Thank you for help,I love this cool software so much!!!Take careSimona 🙂
