Does anyone know where on thew Adobe site links to user-generated examples of Character Animator can be posted for discussion? I tried to post a simple example of my use of Character Animator for discussion and interest, but it was rejected by the moderator. As with all such rejections there is no explanation, leaving one with the impression that the people at Adobe are both stuffy and insular - which is not the case I imagine but which they should be highly aware is what sometimes comes across. Would it not be a good idea to allow exchange of experiments with CA produced videos?
LizzieCA.puppet - Google Drive I need her glasses to be opaque like in the .ai file, I've tried rasterizing, how could I make this happen?
Hey everyone,I have a few questions about what can be achieved within Ch or not, as I couldn't find any direct search result to answer my queries. I'm not new to animation itself, I've been doing it for almost 16 years now, but in other softwares mainly. So my questions are as follows:1. When making a puppet, is it possible to set up a full 360 rotation of said puppet? I understand how to set up the head structure and use the Head Turner Behavior to get the main frontal 180 degree head turn. I would like to be able to do that same head turn using the camera even when the puppet is facing (body & head) in a side profile,3/4 (front and back) profile, and Back profile,2. Is it possible to create Tags in order to make more complex rigs that may not be of human anatomical proportions? Example: 4 legged animals, fantasy creatures, articulated hands, etc.3. Can Ch also motion capture a puppet's body rig using the camera? As an alternative to only using drag handler's/triggers, etc.4. Is t
I can't figure out why my character's pupils leave the eyeballs. Camera input isn't as bad as keyboard input. I've gone over all the labeling, compared it with other functioning puppets,,,, I'm lost?
Hi,This is my first time asking a question here since I couldn't find any topics relating to this problem.I'm was using Character Animator for the first time and when I selected the default Blank Face puppet, the scene appeared grayed out. That is to say the background is gray and the puppet isn't visible at all. I tried selecting different puppets from the Start screen and still had the same result.I'm on a PC, using the latest version of Windows 10 Home, i7 1.80GHz processor, 16GB memory, NVidia GeForce MX150 graphics card, 256GB SSD storage. I hope this is enough information. I hope someone can figure out what's wrong, I'd really like to start using Character Animator.Thanks.
I´m having this issue where any changes that I make on the PSD file (no matter at which level) when saved, the Head of my character jumps to a slightly different position (left). Does this have anything to do with the fact that i have a "Cycle Layer" group at the same level as the Head? Where should be the proper hierarchy?thanks in advance!
I created a puppet in Character Animator and recorded some videos that I want to turn into a presentation where my puppet will be giving the presentation. So 1st) I need to record my puppet with the voice for the presentation and then 2nd) sync the puppet to each video and then 3rd) generate a full presentation (video) which I intend to add some openings and effects to. Whats the best way of doing all this? Animator + Premiere + After Effects? Will my puppet recordings (expressions + voice) work in Premiere?
Hi, I tried to install the Character Animator free trial but it appears that my camera is busy. I have no other programs running in background and I tried to switch the camera a lot of times. I also tried to deactivate my antivirus. I have a Logitech webcam.I'm using Windows 10
This most probably has a simple fix but I have a character I am animating in Character Animator, which has been drawn in Illustrator, where the head keeps moving away from the body. I have stapled the head to the body but to no affect. I am sure I am doing something obviously wrong. Can someone point me in the right direction.Thank you.
I have several puppets that I'm using in a Premiere Pro project and every time I open it, I have to relink almost every CA puppet. The odd thing is that it isn't every puppet and it's always different ones that need to be relinked--some that needed to be relinked the last time I opened it are linked the next time I open it and ones that were linked the previous open aren't linked the next.I read somewhere that you might have to wait for them to link if they're big files, but that's not the case here--they just never link.
I'm on Mac OS10.13.2, Anyone else having an issue where CC keeps notifying you that character animator needs to be updated but when you go to update it, it fails? Basically every time I log on to my computer, I'm getting a notification to update Character Animator. But installation fails. Getting this message.. "Update failed. Unable to move the file. Rename the file and then try again."
I was not sure how to word this, but here's what happened:I have a puppet (designed in illustrator) that is just a floating head. I used the puppet warp tool in AI to adjust the object on a mouth viseme layer. When I opened the puppet in Character Animator, it now stretches and weird ways when I use the face tracking in record mode (see attached). This is what happens when I lean my head to the side. As best I can tell, it seems like there is a fixed point at the top of the puppets head and the rest of the head stretches from that point. This is just a guess. I have not used pins and fixed points yet and have no clue how what I did in Illustrator translates to Character Animator.I deleted the layer in Illustrator that I had originally puppet warped, but the Character Animator puppet is still behaving the same way. Thanks for the help!Imari
Hello,I seem to be having issues with triggers in Character animator. The buttons seem to work but the neutral mouth doesn't disappear, the mouths just appear over or bellow it.The first pic is how it is set-up and the second is the result
Hi! I love adobe character animator and the new version and I was wondering how many mouths can you technically put in. The more customization the better obviously so I was just wondering, thanks! -Sean
Hello,I'm new to the product and am trying to export a test movie for the first time.I've created a puppet in Illustrator, imported to Character Animator 2018 , recorded a scene and have selected Export video via Media Encoder. In Media Encoder I've selected the H.264 option and can see the puppet on a black background in the Export Settings window. After Clicking OK to close the Export Settings window, I click the Start Queue button to begin rendering the movie. However the puppet does not display in the small preview window and when I play back the completed movie, only audio is present and the puppet does not display. My ultimate goal is to import a static PSD background, record several small scenes of my puppet in Character Animator, export as mp4's, and import those into a project I'm working on (into either Lectora and/or Captivate).I'd like to learn why the puppet does not display when rendering in Media Encoder and get advice on whether this is the best way for me to proceed. Hi, I've been trying to create this character which is basically a coin with limbs and a face. Because it has only a head and no body what would the best way to rig this? I don't want any bending on the coin itself and was hoping to create a walk cycle which seems tricky without the correct structure - is this possible? Thanks! Gareth
It seems something is amiss with loading martin(guitarist) character in latest version, says it is mad with a later version (1.1), whereas latest version is clearly much later, and supposedly, 'the latest'!!!
I can't seem to find any tutorial that covers left front and right profile setups (starting from AI file) with walk cycles. Can anyone help?!
I updated character animator from creative cloud and it wouldn't open when i try to open it show "could not find the user document directory"Please fix this issue.
So I've imported my Ch scenes into Ae, and they don't seem to have any audio. The original Ch scene does have audio - a wav track and lip sync. How can I get it to include the audio when it imports? Is this normal?
I've noticed my characters deform weirdly since the new update. I am doing test scenes, I changed nothing in my puppet but whenever I move my head it creates the effect below.
Hello everybody.I ve just re-installed Character animator CC and it keeps getting stuck on the startup / intro screen mostly when one of the skybox plugins are loading. I am on windows 10, 64 bit machine with 32 GB ram and a Geforce gtx 960 card.Is there a way to troubleshoot this? maybe bypass or disable these plugins. Please help me out. Thanks.
Hi, I'm brand new to Character Animation so please be patient with me. Is there a way to have the character listen and not have the mouth move while the narrator talks?
Can anyone tell me why the left arrow key doesn't recognize the left profile in this walk cycle?Adobe Creative Cloud
Hello,I'm new to Character Animator but I'm learning fast. We're planning on using for a web series and I've been experimenting with a pre-built puppet called CLAY. When I open the original puppet artwork I notice that he has a few hand options, but those do not appear by default when using the puppet in a new scene. How do I get the hands to appear and can I track them in CC18? TIA,JVK
