Is it possible to do this, Right now it only blends the trigger at 0.2secs. I used it on a camera triggerable shot. I want to have a slower blend.
Is there any way to have alternate keys controlling walk behavior instead of the regular left and right keys? I want to use midi controls to control my character's walk behavior
I have been exporting only work areas via Media Encoder, but there is some communication issue between Ch and Me where my puppets' shoulders are bunched together in the resulting files.* So I went back to what I think is the risky function "Trim Scene to Work Area," which consists of actually deleting all your work except the work area and then undoing that--if you don't get sidetracked or there's a crash before you get back to undo it. 1) Is there a way to recover takes or a previous version of ONE SCENE within a project without wiping out all your work progress in other scenes that you've made since that version? 2) Can we please have an "Export>Work Area" function to simply bypass all this? Thanks. *Ch to Me issue examples in attached images.
HI, I'm seeing a glitch when adding an animation from the Motion Library to my timeline, so when the playhead goes from my captured animation to the motion library animation the character jerks uncontrolably. This is with easeing on the animation for a smooth transition. When I add another animation from the library the transition from one library animation to the next is smooth. This only occurs when going from captured to library animation.Any ideas of a workaround?
Hello , I have selected a transparent background in character animator. (transparent selected.jpg attached). But on importing video inside Pr it shows dark black background .(steps recorded no transparent background .mp4 attached)What can be the possible mistake I'm doing here , please highlight. Thanks,Pranita
What does this mean?
Opening and closing my project caused my mouth layers to lose their behaivors, and when in record mode when I say L it won't show up. neither will my M, S, Ah, AA how do I fix these problems?
Hey Folks,I am experimenting with Character Animator over the past weeks and ran into an issue, I neither could solve so far, nor find any solution on the web.I created a character based on "Alex Blank" and made him a 3-view character. The character is supposed to run in ine scene, what I tried to manage via the walk behaviour.Everything seems to be set up and rigged correctly, but my character still keeps on haveing ne essential problem:His left shoulder seems to pull the body in the running direction as if he tried to lean forward, but the head pulls back the neck to the original position. This leads into weird deformation of chest, neck and partially the head.Does anyone have an idea, of what I could check?I´de be thankfull for any idea.ThanksBestAlex
Not sure if it's a bug bug it's driving me crazy because i'm having to do a lot of guess work. Is there a way to make sure it shows what is actually happening at any given position without having to play and try to remember? Scrubbing the timeline works as well but as soon as i stop it resets. Thanks
Hello! I just discovered the Motion Library and watched Okay Samuri's video on it. I was looking to play with it on some of the pre-built characters. however, it seems like some work for this and some don't despite being built the same. I see that they need Behaviors: Bosy and Limb IK I also know that they need the rigging and they all seem to, but most just seem to stand there when choosing from the motion library. Any advice or insight?
Hello,So I spoke with an agent regarding this, and there is no resolve. If you are using your default internal microphone, Ch will, by default, record in stereo. You can hear both left and right when you record. If you are using an Audio Interface with a studio mic, Ch will record in STEREO, and you can only hear out of one side. When you record in Audition, you can EASILY change this by selecting MONO recording. You can also do this in Premiere. If you can please update to where you can easily change the default recording from Stereo to MONO this would be pretty useful. Thank You
I have been working with Character Animator for 4 months now, currently trying to make a video with The Professional puppet in Puppet Maker. The rigging for this puppet is not adequate for walking or the motion library. If I use motion library to make it walk, it leans backwards like it is going to fall over, or sometimes it floats up into the air when it is not walking. If I use the walking behavior to make it walk, with the head independent the head rises up above the neck, if I make the head dependent the head distorts and becomes unusable. The neck and head handles have to be tweaked as well, before the puppet can be used. So, for the video I am making now, I have eliminated the walking. I spend more time trouble-shooting Puppet Maker puppets than I spend recording tracks.Just FYI, I downloaded a couple of free sample puppets from a non-Adobe puppet website, and they worked perfectly 100% if the time without me going into Rigging a single time. Would it be possible for someone
Hi As per the title, Been trying for hours. I even modified my artwork to make it simpler thinking that would fix it but it's just as bad as before... I've uploaded the puppet here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ihKn9_lDM5DuXcGlYNd5IcweC083AzyR/view?usp=sharing Thanks
I would like to use body tracking for arm movement, because it seems to look more real than dragging arms with a mouse. Mouse arm movements must be done one-at-a-time, and when you do, you cannot see what you recorded for the other arm for position and timing. However, after I click Calibrate while I am standing in the "A" position, from that point on the puppet will NEVER put its arms straight down to the side. This happens for ALL puppets I select from options in Puppet Maker. After I click Calibrate, from that time on the "arms-at-rest" position makes the puppet's arms look like a horseshoe.Does anyone have an idea how I can get the resting position of the arms straight down?Thank you in advance!
Hello,I just downloaded the starter package and I try to use the software but when I click on a puppet I get the libgit2 error.I searched in the communities and none of the proposed solutions work for me.I admit that this is not the best first-time impression I would expect in the first trial.Any help?Steps to reproduce: 1. click a puppet and get the error... Same roblem when I import a puppet System info Application: Character Animator v23.1.0.79 OS: Windows v10.0.19045, RAM: 15.86 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 8
Hi, can you please add an option to edit camera triggers after creating them? I wish i could just double click on camera in the timeline and edit it
I've run out of ideas to fix my puppets arms. The arms won't move. I put sticks in. I put a draggable handle and the arms just pull the body and distort it. I used a template puppet to build this puppet. Thanks. I appreciate the help.
Hey thereI would like to make my own Dinosour Puppet and i have noticed that the stock puppets dont have this type of character available. therefore I would like to know I could install a photo (perhaps from photoshop) and able to break features of a dinosour down in order to make it move (legs, eyes, arms Mouth etc) within adobe Character Animation. I would LOVE any guidance to making anything like this possible please. Thank you for your time.
Greetings all, I'm just getting my feet wet with CA. I created a Flying Duck with two Wing Positions (Up and Down) and imported it as a Puppet into CA. Each wing undergoes a Color Change because we see either the Top or Bottom side of a wing as it transitions. Please see the Screenshots below. I have two Questions: What is the best way to Rig it, for Flying? I tagged the Wings as Arms. How to Animate it? Thanks in advance.Regards,Rajnesh
HiI don't know whether I have inadvertently clicked on some button but the timeline is not visible with the puppet on the record screen. The timeline can only be seen when I click either on Timeline Scene or on Window>Timeline and produces the puppetless screen shot 2. This means that without both things being on the screen simultaneously I cannot gauge how much time is elapsing or at which stage further recordings need to be added. If someone can shed light on this I would be very grateful.
If not what is the cheapest way? Thanks in advance.
Hi all! I'd really appreciate any help on this, the sooner the better, as I'm working on tight deadline. I have a project in Ch with six scenes. The first five exported fine, but with the sixth one, I keep getting an error report from Ch sometime midway through the export that Ch has crashed - despite Character Animator remaining open and appearing to be working just fine. Simultaneous to the error report from Ch, Media Eporter freezes on whatever it's up to, not even updating how much time has elapsed and not generating any error reports of its own - except to say "export interrupted by user" when I finally give up waiting for it to move hours later. I'm not the most tech savvy of users here, so I can't figure out how to open or read the .dmp file for the report from Character Animator. I attempted to attach it here, but that doesn't seem to work either. I'm working in Version 23.1 (Build 79) of Character Animator, Version 23.2.1 (Build 2) of Adobe Media
Since my characters do not speak, and there is no reason for sad or angry, I have 3 variations of the mouth. Smile, grin, and closed lips with slight upturn. I have deleted all lip sync layers from blank.psd. Are there specific triggers for just 3 stages of a smile? Are there correct names for 3 stages of a smile? Thanks!
It would be very helpful for workflow speed if we could assign hotkeys for arming specific behaviors and puppet tracks. Instead of having to mouse over to the puppet to disarm it so that I can see it's current position, a quick keyboard shortcut would really help. Same with the item behaviors - if I have the Dragger armed, but I want to turn it off and instead use the mouse for Eye Gaze, I have to scroll through all the behaviors and find the ones I want to arm/disarm. If each behavior had an assignable hotkey, it would be much better.
I cannot open Character Animator Pro mode. Each time I want to switch from Starter mode it takes me to the start a free trial page for the whole CC plan. I have a CC account but I am on a free trial at the moment. What can I do?
