Digital Editions

I recently moved to a new Computer, installed ADE and authorized with my Adobe ID (the very same account I am posting with right now).I tried to import my e-books, but was presented an error message that told me that the books I tried to import are licensed with another account.When I tried to open the books, ADE presented me the authorization dialog and after entering my login data again it told me that the Element i tried to open is not linked to the account I entered.I compared the authorizations on both computers and noticed that, although they are both authorized with the same e-mail address, the urn:uuid is different.I guess this is the reason I cannot open my books.What is the problem here? What can I do to access my books?

I bought some books from Google Play. When i opened books from Google Play with Adobe Digital Editions by exporting acsm file, the viewer displays them distorted.(I tested this problem with free Google Play ebook — "논쟁적 UX: 아이폰 국내 출시 10년, 대한민국 UX를 되짚어 보다". Page 151) When you see book's contents with browser, there aren't any problem. The left is screenshot captured when i open the book with browser. But if you open it with Adobe digital editions, you can see right figure. To sum up, when i opened the digital book with Adobe digital editions, most images in the book are distorted.

I have been using Adobe Digital Editions for a few years to borrow books from my local and university libraries. It always worked well. However, an update was recently installed bringing Digital Editions to version 4.5.126523. Ever since, the applications is not working properly. Sometimes, ebooks I borrowed and returned months ago reappear (the cover is often missing, but not all the time... a little "cloud" glyph appears in the upper left corner of the ebook). Other times, no book show up at all and I have to erase the authorization and authorize again my computer to solve the issue. Everything then seems to be ok, but a few hours later, ghost ebooks (those ebooks I long returned) show up again. If I try to delete them by right clicking and selecting "Remove from Library", they do disappear, but next time I start the application, they come back again.Anyone else experiences this odd problem? Has anyone found a solution?

Win 10 Pro - ADE ver 4.5.11.187212 ---- I can download books from the local library, but they do not appear in the "Library" of ADE. I attempt to "Add files to Library" and get a message that they are already added. When I try to open the downloaded book, it won't open... nothing happens. By this time, ADE has frozen and I can only close it using Task Manager.

Bei meinem neuen Laptop bekomme ich immer die Fehlermeldung das die ID oder das Kennwort falsch sind. Das sind sie aber nicht, mit genau den Daten konnte ich mich mit dem Handy ohne Probleme anmelden.Allerdings würde ich lieber am Laptop meine Bücher lesen als am Handy.Was kann das Problem sein?

Hi there, I have recently installed the Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.11 on my Microsoft laptop. I managed to open up the e-book but was unable to scroll - tried using both the scroll bar as well as the arrow buttons on the laptop and neither works. Could anyone advise please? Thanks!

No one at Adobe seems interested in solving this.... Chat help is.... no help.I cannot download my ascm books because of this E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR error and no solution for it.... Uninstalled, re-installed, unauthorized, re-authorized.... nothing fixes it. And it was working fine until 2 days ago and now.... even books that worked before no longer work to download.CAN someone do something about this?? Error getting License. I have changed laptops and would like to access my digital editions content on my new laptop. Each time I enter the information I get an error that the vendor account I have entered is not associated with the item I am trying to open.  How can I get access to my study material again to study?I have tried changing passwords and email addressed but no difference.

Hello, I´ve purchased an ebook with DRM (ACSM file)  - installed ADE (Digital Edition 4.5) and downloaded the book. I can open it in ADE normally, but when opening in Acrobat Reader DC I´m getting the message "There was an error opening this document. The security plug-in required by this command is unavailable." and can´t open it... Both programs (ADE and AR DC) are using the same Authorization ID... I´ve tried to reinstall both programs, but no success... Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance...Peter

I have 14 computers behind Kerio firewall and when I open a DRM protected file with Adobe Digital Edition or a file that uses docs.crypto-service.com the pdf does not open. I already open docs.crypto-service.com for http and https but i still have the error like this "connect pc to network". Can help me please? RegardsNico

Hello, I have the latest version of Adobe Digital Editions installed on my Mac. I have an ebook purchased in October 2020 that I can read there. Yesterday I have downloaded Adobe Digital Editions on iPad and although I use Adobe ID on both, the book is not synchronised and cannot be seen on iPad. Looking forward to hearing back! Asli 

Believe it or not but I usually do not do this. Writing such kind of posts or reviews. But this is really driving me nuts. I need to access an ebook and would like to do so offline that leaves me with one single option: ADE.I never used ADE (probably for a reason...?).So I installed the latest version 4.5.11 (?) as suggested by adobe's website. logged in (yes, I have an adobe account)downloaded the ebook file and double clicked on itADE downloads and opens the book.Happy to be able to read the book I selected the section I wanted to review. Then I scrolled to the next page ...nothing. I selected another section.... nothing ...Still showing the first page from that section I selected to start reading.The only way, I figured out after a while, to really get ADE to show the next page (or whatever page one selected) is to change the vertical size of the window. So I started changing the page, then switiching from full screen to window mode and back and so on.Useless! I

System: Windows XP, Firefox, office network (with firewall, proxy) Error Message: IOError on Network Request. Please check your network connection and try again. Network Path: htpp://... Error #2038 Please help. I originally had Adobe Reader 7, and I was perfectly able to download and view DRM-protected ebooks. However, since I upgraded to Adobe Reader 8 and Digital Editions, I can't view an ebook any more. I have limited privileges with the firewall, but this should not have been a problem since I was able to view the ebook before. Thanks!

I try to return a book and receive the above error message, I go to help and  "authorise computer is greyed out, click on authorisation information and detail is shown. What can I do?

Only one of the books I borrowed from the Auckland Libraries ebook library is showing up on Adobe Digital Editions. I downloaded ADE and authorised my computer without an account and borrowed two ebooks. Then I erased the authorisation so that I could use my Adobe account, and authorised my computer under my Adobe account. Now it seems that no matter what I do or how I'm authorised (just with my computer, with my account or not at all), I cannot return these books and only one of them even shows up on ADE. According to a secondary application called "borrowbox" it is evident that I still have those two titles out on loan on ADE even if only one shows up there. I cannot return the titles using borrowbox either. I would just really like to return these titles. PLEASE can someone help me out.

Ich habe ein Mac mit OS Catalina und Adobe Digital Editions 4.5. Ich benutze ADE, um die gekauften Bücher auf meine alten Sony Reader zu transportieren und dort zu lesen. Nun habe ich festgestellt, das mein ADE auf dem Computer nur noch ein einziges Buch enthält, das zuletzt gekaufte. Ich meine, dass ich mich nach diesem Kauf neu wieder authorisieren musste, was auch geklappt hat. Aber dummerweise sind nun meine anderen Bücher nicht mehr erreichbar. Sie sind auch nicht mehr im Ordner Documente/Digital Editions, dort liegt auf der obersten Ebene nur noch ein Buch. Mir ist, als ob die Ordnerstruktur beim letzten erfolgreichen Transfer auch anders aussah.Ich habe dann versucht in meinem Adobe Konto einzuloggen, was auch geklappt hat, wenn ich jedoch auf "Konto anzeigen" klicke, bekomme ich diese Fehlermeldung:Kann es sein, dass Adobe mein Konto mitsamt aller Bücher gelöscht hat? Ist das rechtlich überhaupt zulässig? 

About a day and a half ago I bought an ebook on Kobo and went to open it with Adobe Digital Editions 4.5. I got an error"Connection error detected.  Digital Editions could not connect to the fulfillment server.  Please make sure you are connected to the internet."I am connected to the internet. I tried uninstalling the program and installing it again. Tried to deauthorize, authorize and even tried to open the ebook without an Adobe ID. I tried to open a different book that I had already bought a while ago, got the same error message. Even tried doing it with Adobe Digital Editions 4.0. Same error message. I tried buying the same book on a different website and was able to open it Adobe Digital Editions. I contacted the Kobo support chat and they were incredibly unhelpful, just telling me to try their Kobo Desktop App instead of trying to solve the problem which seems to happen only with their books. I feel like I'm at my limit.

I fixed this problem on a new IPad Pro by uninstalling the app...and all its data and reinstalling the app.I then authorized the app with my Adobe ID and password  and Voilla ! I got my new book and all the old ones too. Hope this helps.David

After successfully using ADE to download purchased epubs for several years using the same computer, I now get the this message:Unable to DownloadError getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12Does anyone know how to solve this?

I have a new iMac. Online trouble shooting instructions for deactivating Adobe Digital Editions in order to reactivate it do not work: There is Adobe Digital Editions folder with this name in my Application Support folder. I see someone else posted the same question with an update request in August 2021 and it has not been answered. I have called Adobe Support, which cannot help, but has "escalated" this issue. I hope that someone will respond soon.

How do I deauthorize Adobe Digital Editions on my computer? Thank you for your help. I lost my original ID info, and so created a new account ID to install ADE on a new computer and have since found my original accout information and would like to use my original ID.

I use adobe digital edition 4.5 for downloading library books onto my Nook.  For the last two days everytime I download a book onto my Nook I get an error message that says Error opening book,book has been returned, but it hasn't been returned.  I've called my library and Nook and they can't help me.  Can Adobe help me??
